In store staff was helpful in answering our questions. If you are going there to look at windows, etc., best to call and get an appointment. Only their representative can discuss by appt only. We wasted our time. I was told to get a quote we had to go on their website to request, which I did 3 days ago. Waiting for a response. Management should review how they handle the customer that is not a contractor. The customer is very important to your day to day operations. Thank you.Thank you to the management. Has been a great experience! Remodeling my kitchen with Graham’s help made everything so much easier! He helped with design and floor plans down to door knobs! The instal was a breeze and they definitely live up to their warranties! If I have the smallest problem with something months later I will hear from Jamie and the problem if fixed or replaced quick and easy. Absolutely would recommend!
This place was a nightmare. Dont shop there. The most disrespectful people, I have ever meet. The employees. Old hate filled Black men work there. Im black, and had to deal with too disrespectful employees. The manger did not make move to dissolved issues. Will never deliver there again. Old Black men dont no how to be a professional. Oh, i guess why they unloaded trailers. Both should have been fired. Please dont shop there.
Slow loading their trucks and slow unloading the drivers trucks... the guys loading and unloading the sheetrock trucks they are always just standing around talking about the night before and messing up their truck orders holding up the drivers....

Homeowner. Requested information online. Tony Sanders emailed back same day with a quote. Delivery crew called ahead and all materials were delivered on time. No issues whatsoever. Very happy with the experience.

Great for contractors maybe......but trying to get a defective window replaced under warranty....after my builder left, we closed, warranty transferable. Even the builder said he had tried for 3 months to get the window replaced.Well, After they get paid i guess things change....I bet they would respond promptly to my emails if I had a huge order to make.

My recent experience with BMC located on Yonkers Road in Raleigh was Outstanding. This was in large part due to the World Class customer service I received from a man named Antonio Hinnant. He was working at the sales counter.There was some miscommunication with my order; some of it my part. Hinnant’s immediate response was “What can I do to get this taken care of for you”. As it played out he followed up and tracked everything to completion.He even offered to personally deliver my material to my home in Youngsville at no additional cost. This was something BMC was not obligated to do. Antonio Hinnant went the extra step. Other staff I interacted with had strong product knowledge and were courteous as well.I have read some of the reviews saying BMC is not interested in customers with small orders. That was not my experience. By scale my order was small.I have read some reviews saying calls to BMC go unreturned, again not my experience. Over time I have made other purchases with BMC. My calls have always been returned.For the reasons stated above I recommend BMC over places like Lowes and Home Depot. True it is a busy place; you may have to wait for your turn. When it is your turn you will receive undivided consideration and attention.I could use any number of words to characterize Antonio Hinnant. I will use the word Professional.
Stay away. Theyre not interested in taking the time to work with individual home owners. Their primary focus seems to be large scale home builders. We spend 16K with BMC and walked away deeply frustrated and unhappy. It was a painful experience. I dont have another vendor to recommend, but definitely dont go here.

I own a remodeling company in Raleigh and have had nothing but great experiences with Stock even through all of the company changes. The people complaining need to remember where they are. If you want great customer service and lack of knowledge about anything then go to home depot or lowes. If you want straight to the point customer service and wide knowledge on many products go to Stock simple as that. These guys are there to deal with Contractors they are not uppity sales men who are there to make you want to buy something they are there to place your order. If you dont know what it is and how much you need hire someone who does.
From the perspective of a cash (homeowner) customer, here are some comments on my TREX deck project. The customer service from BMCs Jim Britt was very good. I provided a simple sketch of my existing 500 sq.ft deck. Jims material estimate was reasonably close to what was actually needed.TREX-specific service was OK but note that BMC does not stock all TREX material at their Yonkers Road location in Raleigh, NC. The builder will need to take this into account when scheduling the project and project resources. The TREX material and fasteners were excellent.Recommendations:1. BMC is busy - Raleigh and surrounding areas are experiencing a building boom. Make sure that you establish a working rapport with your BMC salesperson up front. If that doesnt happen try someone else. You are going to have to work with them and compete with their other workload and customers. This is not just BMC specific advice!2. Understand critical details like material delivery dates, material special order cycle times, product costs, delivery costs and defective material replacement policy, In my case I had a special item order that came from Boise. Not all of the material was used and Boise imposed a stiff 25% re-stocking fee. BMC negotiated this down for me but try to capture this up front to prevent surprises.3. Photogragh material upon delivery for the record. Document your progress and issues with your salesperson. Keep the communications going.4. The better the design drawing the closer the material list accuracy will be and the less likely material fills / returns will be needed.My project came in close to budget costs and due date. If BMC offered an on-site estimation service up front with commitments, that would be greatly appreciated on a complicated homeowner project.
Poor customer service. I called one sales rep. for a piece I needed and he said they had it, but when I showed up the next sales rep. said they dont even carry that piece. On to Home Depot!

Walked out after 29 minutes without a single individual acknowledging my existence. I was even carrying cabinets that I went in with the sole purpose of ordering for five apartments. Luckily I had enough time to myself to find another vendor from the manufacturer.
I think they need some help. Sent a quote request in, followed up the next day, followed up a week later, going on two weeks for a quote and still havent seen anything. I was told it was going to get taken care of right away!!!
Poor customer service. Wouldnt buy from them unless i had no other choice. They only want to deal with contractors, they have no time for the general public.

Pitiful. Dont know how they stay in business. The sales guy said they dont have what I need unless I have an account. I have an account, so he transferred my call to someone who disconnected me.

Not interested in serving the small guys
Im a builder and have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. Now that BMC has been aquired by BFS the customer service has gotten worse. They dont seem to care about small scale builders, remodelers, homeowners and servicing existing loyal customers.
