I could not find the motor easily online. This store is a gem. A 15min pleasant visit solved my problem.

Needed a start capacitor, called all of the big supply houses who would not sell retail. One supplied a reference to Motors & Controls. Very friendly staff and got me exactly what I needed in stock.

As others have said the place wont win any appearance awards, but the guys behind the counter are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to motors, capacitors and controls. They sold me a replacement blower motor for my furnace (along with some helpful installation tips) when the big name HVAC supply stores turned me away as soon as they found out I was just a homeowner.

As a general contractor, Motors and Controls has helped me out many a time over the years. The location is in a run-down warehouse with stuff stacked everywhere out front. I cant quite imagine what the back is like. The place couldnt be cleaned even if you tried. There is an old television with rabbit ears tuned to soap operas in the afternoons to entertain the customers while they wait. You dont go there for the glamour, but for the guys who can repair almost any motor or control, an amazingly valuable service. They know everything about motors. They are also honest and will tell you if your equipment is worth repairing. Ive gotten replacement parts and new motors from them for years. Ive never had a problem and highly recommend them.

Replaced the blower motor on my 90s Trane in less than an hour for a great price. Even put a new run capacitor on it for me. Very helpful friendly guys running the shop. Will be back for future repair needs.

I have never gotten better service and pricing as a walk in customer.....period. A large local hvac company wanted $749 dollars to replace a fan on my heat pump plus they had to order it. Called at 4:45 on a Friday afternoon they had it and we arranged pickup for after hours. Great group of folks and you are a fool to call anyone else!

20 stars if allowed. These Gentlemen are life savers. My father started dealing with them in 1995. They fixed some part for him for cheap. He couldnt stop raving. My father is very skeptical. I was like whatever. He then got a blower fixed in HVAC unit for $200. Everyone else was charging like $800. This guy gave us a new one. After that I had no idea how to fix a/c. I spent hours and hours trying to figure it out. I and took my fan motor there and they checked for free and gold me was capacitor. They didnt have it sent me to a place and got it for $10. Now imagine how much time and money they saved by from their knowledge. This is the best business in the world. They are honest, reliable, and helpful. Everyone should learn from them how to do business. #1 business in the world.

I called with the make and model of the machine for which I needed a contactor. The fellow on the phone says that he has no way to look it up. Thats like a car parts store telling you theres no way for him to look up a water pump or oil filter if you tell him what car its for. I dont know anything about anything but this seems awfully lame to me.

Was out $107 for a blower motor and capacitor that me and a buddy were able to install ourselves after bring quoted $800 by ARS for parts and labor to install it. The place wont win any appearance or cleanliness awards, but when none of the other HVAC supply stores in town would sell to me when they found out I wasnt a licensed contractor, I didnt much care what it looked like. Plus, they even wired the capacitor into my new motor for me, saving me time and hassle. Will definitely be back the next time I need any electric motor parts.
