Love the unique flavor descriptions but can only give one star since we were unable to sample any of them. Is this one of those COVID rules that will just stay in place forever? Other shops are back to sampling. Samples are part of the draw to a homemade ice cream shop, especially with unique flavor combos. As an ice cream connoisseur who seeks out small businesses to recommend I will have to boycott until you ease your restrictions. Samples for all!

How can I say that I love this place in better words? They have well-priced ice cream in a variety of unique flavors. They even have vegan options and outdoor seating! You get your money’s worth for sure.

I love this place. Really good unique fresh ice cream, great atmosphere, and love the story behind the name. I love trying all of the new specials flavors, as they change every month. This location is also a really nice location in the corner of the shopping center. There are picnic tables to sit outside. Sometimes we get pizza and a beer from their neighbors, while sitting outside, and then afterwards have some ice cream. Tonight they had a guy playing live music (guitar).

Wonderful ice cream. The Earl Grey Tea with Lemon shortbread Cookie Dough was sinful. This is the real deal, homemade ice cream at its finest. Customer service is impeccable and the staff is extremely friendly. I love the no frills no fuss atmosphere.

I chose this ice cream place by luck because we were in the mood for ice cream and I saw they had lactose free options. I am lactose intolerant and while there were only 2 options lactose free they were very delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed this place and it isnt super expensive like other places. The flavors are unique and stand out amoung a lot of the ice cream places. I had the strawberry lactose free and the coffee bourbon flavors in a waffle cone. I will say I was impressed. I want to go here again and I would recommend it.

Really excellent ice cream and service! I actually love the fact that they had the dining area closed off. With the rise in covid cases, I felt like this was incredibly responsible and apropos.

I cant really give this place more than 2 stars. They dont have sundaes like other ice cream shops and the largest size you can get it a double which is just two scoops. Even the flavors were lame at best, I had the spicy chocolate cheesecake which had almost zero cheesecake taste to it, no chocolate and very minimal spice, it mostly tasted like plain vanilla. Maybe I got a bad batch but not going to come back to find out sorry...

Good homemade small batch ice cream. Flavors are a bit subtle though so even though the descriptions are intriguing combinations, not all of the flavors come across. I think the flight is the best value with 4 scoops for around $12. Share with a friend and get to taste different blends. Shop smells wonderful with waffle cones baking!

My husband and I stumbled upon this hidden jewel about 3 weeks ago, and we have been back every week since! We love the birthday cake. Im sad to see the flavor leave. However Im excited to see what yummy flavors April has to bring. What a wonderful and quality ice cream. Oh and my boys love the cookies and cream flavor. Hummingbird was my 2nd favorite flavor.

Yummm! I love this place! Everything is always fresh delicious! They have more inside seating the average ice cream shop & also seating outside. Friendly staff. I think the $12 flights are the best deal in town! Get in to try the Leprechauns Delight & Blueberry Lemon Glaze Donut before they’re gone.

The ice cream is delicious they have different combinations of flavors such as coffee bourbon. They dont really have a lot of toppings just like sprinkles and whipped cream. The staff is very friendly their customer service is on point. Theyre sitting on the inside but most people sit outside because there are lots of picnic tables. I would say this isnt really your typical ice cream shop with all the toppings and stuff to mix and match. But very delicious.

My husband and I went here last night when we were craving some local ice cream. We appreciate that, due to COVID, they are not letting people inside the store right now, but they have a table set up with a cash register (and square payment options) to take your order. They will then call your name when your order is ready and you pick it up at a different table. There are also lots of picnic tables set up on the sidewalk if you want to eat there.As for the ice cream, we each got one of their rotating flavors. I got Brookie-O (vanilla ice cream with brownie chunks, cookie dough, and Oreos). Husband got Coffee & Cookies (coffee ice cream with Oreos). Both were very creamy, quite good, but on the sweeter side. Not too sweet for us, but definitely sweeter than some other ice creams.All in all, I would recommend this place if you are craving some ice cream and want to support a local business! Well be back for sure!

Each month they have flavors of the month and they’re all creative and they use many local ingredients! AND who doesnt love supporting local families and businesses???Not only is the ice cream itself phenomenal (texture is perfection), the flavors are something special. Each month Jared creates interesting combinations for his guest panel that correlate with a common theme (but dont worry, they also have an amazing cookies & cream with their classic flavors). There has been beer month - including flavors inspired by collaborations with local breweries like Trophy and Ponysaurus, they do a month each year that includes submissions made by elementary school children for wacky flavors (Two Roosters CREATES these flavors straight from the kids imaginations!!!), as well as holiday themes like Thanksgiving and Christmas. I could go on forever about the flavors, oh my gosh.I cant get enough of this ice cream, and I think Jared has created something truly special in the Triangle. Two Roosters is more than an ice cream shop, its a place that supports us all!

Awesome Ice Cream and great safety protocols. We had a small, safe get together with a few friends,, I thought individually packaged ice cream would be a fun easy and safe dessert. I was able to order and pay online and have ice cream delivered right to the trunk of my vehicle. The ice cream was a hit the 6oz size was a generous portion for an after dinner dessert. Everyone loved it and a teen even said it was the best ice cream hed ever had! The containers are recycleable!

This place was packed! We decided to get pints to go so we could cut ahead in line. Ice cream is very good. Pricey but worth it for the taste. The Key Lime Ginger Snap is amazing!

I recommend the coffee and bourbon flavor! I though the hibiscus flavor was too artificial tasting. Next time Ill try the donut flavor. I think its really awesome that they partner with local cafes and eateries to create their flavors.

One of the best ice cream shops Ive been to (and thats a long list)! The ice cream is such high quality and they put a lot of effort into their flavors that you dont see from most others. They hold a list of staples on one list and then have a rotating list thats always changing and also always amaze. Highly recommend!

Was visiting a friend in the area and she suggested we stop here. First time for me. No masks or social distancing really being enforced at all. I understand the need to survive as a business during this time but this is unacceptable. I don’t care if it was just an “off night” as I’ve now read on a reply in a previous review. The health of employees and customers should be taken seriously and it’s clearly not at this establishment. Otherwise it’s a cute local ice cream shop that was very busy and clearly well liked by residents in the area. Had a lot of potential.

I first met Jared without even realizing he was the owner of this delicious ice cream shop. I decided to have ice cream for my promotion ceremony at Ft. Bragg and got to meet the most happy person I have ever met. He was awesome for the 2hr event and everyone RAVED about the ice cream. Long story short, we became great acquaintances and he catered ice cream at my wedding. The truck and trailer was the perfect touch to a perfect night. Our friends and family were stoked once they saw him pull up and could not stop eating the ice cream. Best decision my husband and I made.

Two Roosters is my go to joint when I need a hit of ice cream. Its delicious, creamy and their flavors always pack a punch. They have a good selection of classic flavors like cookies and cream, and every month they bring in some visiting flavors. Im sometimes sad to see a visiting flavor go, because I fall in love with that months theme, but Im never sad for too long because the next series introduces more flavors to fall head over heels for. Highly recommend especially to beat this heat.

The strawberry daiquiri and amoretto sour mocktail flavors are so good. My 4 year old loves the chocolate ice cream. If possible, bring your own seating, this way you can socially distance and eat you ice cream sitting down if desired. Weekend evenings can be a tad busy with the other establishments there and while the seating provided is provided, it tends to no be enough.

The owner taught us so much about ice cream and the different between the large companies and the local, home made icecream. The prices are not too steep. Some people may think that $5 is a lot; however, when you are getting REAL ice cream, made from scratch and its fresh - meaning that is hasnt been sitting in a freezer for 6months - its actually a pretty great deal.I love when business can be transparent with their customers. I have a better understanding in what goes into real ice cream. It also is amazing that they have 4 dairy free options plus a few gluten free options. This place is for me :-)

I love Two Roosters! And this is coming from someone that doesnt really eat ice cream. I have never been disappointed with anything Ive tried.Beside the ice cream being high quality and delicious, Two Roosters is amazing in their approach to ice cream. The use real ingredients (e.g. actual Girl Scout Thin Mints in their Girl Scout Mint ice cream) and do much of the work by hand. They truly make craft ice cream.In addition to using real ingredients and making their ice cream by hand, Two Roosters also pushes the possibilities of what ice cream can be. In April 19 their flavors were based on craft beers and in May 19, their flavors are designed by kids at local schools. Dragon Fire, vanilla ice cream mixed with cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and coarse black pepper is a great demonstration of how they took a kids idea and turned it into an ice cream the pushes the boundaries of ordinary. This is just one of the many reasons I love Two Roosters and will be back many, many times in the future.

My brother has raved about this ice cream and I decided to try it out for myself. He is correct...this ice cream is outstanding (in my view, of course)!! I chose the strawberry and honey flavor in a small sized cup. While I was shocked at the price of $5.00 for that size, I was somewhat relieved by noticing a double portion in the cup. If I had my brother with me, we could easily have shared and been satisfied. Texture was creamy, taste was as advertised without being overbearing. Next time, Im not going to play it safe...im trying a more exotic flavor. But there most definitely will be a next time.

My family and I finally made it over there and visited today for the first time. Needless to say, how excited we were. We travel for a good ice cream. We were not really impressed with the flavors. They did not come through the way we would have liked. Also, the young man who served us did not seem too friendly. All in all, not what we were expecting and won’t be back. Nice little shop though!

My husband and I LOVE Two Roosters! They provided dessert for our wedding it was a huge hit with our guests! Mackie was so great at coordinating all of our details for the wedding, as well as providing us with an abundance of ice cream at our tasting! I have gone to Two Roosters several times and love their ice cream, especially the Coffee Bourbon. Its definitely a go-to ice cream place for my husband and I. At first, I was very impressed by their health measures they were taking during COVID-19, but once I went after Phase 1 started, I changed my mind. It was a Sunday evening and they had a lot of families there waiting for their orders. We stood in line, 6ft apart, but once we got closer, we noticed that none of the staff making the ice cream were actually wearing gloves. One employee was making a milkshake and we saw her sticking her bare hand in the cup while preparing it. I was very disappointed, as I had just been there a week ago and everyone was wearing gloves and masks. They had their COVID-19 protocol down pat the week before. Even without COVID-19, employees should still be wearing gloves to prepare food. It is too bad, as I really enjoy going here.

Guests were thrilled by the ice cream truck, and they couldn’t stop raving about how delicious and unique the ice cream flavors were.Jared brings 6 (yes 6!) amazing flavors to your event. I had such a hard time deciding which flavors I would try, and I know all our guests did too!Our guests were ice cream obsessed and they flocked to the truck!Such a memorable sweet treat for our wedding!

This is a can’t miss place in Raleigh! Not only do they have truly unique and delicious ice cream (you got to try the butterscotch haystack and the bourbon coffee) but the service is awesome. Josh and Caleb helped us and they were polite, friendly and really took the time to help each person. They let us sample as many flavors as we wanted to find the one that hit the spot. I will definitely be back!

Hands down the best ice cream around town! With fun and unique flavors, it is truly a treat to look forward to. This was my jam when I was pregnant. The high school kids working the counter are typically not very personable or friendly but what can you do. The yummy ice cream makes up for it.

Start by saying the ice cream isnt bad, everything else is. I read some of reviews prior to coming and had high hopes. Went in a few days ago and first time going here so I wanted to sample some. Worker was very rude and seemed extremely annoyed that I wanted to sample a few (I can tell you when I came in because this employee should be spoken to about this). I ordered cookies and cream. So overpriced. Again, ice cream isnt bad but I paid $7 for less than what I could get at another ice cream shop. Was not impressed. Wanted to add toppings but they charge so much.
