Horrible! They are looking at the customers shopping but when you come to check out line then they are informing that they are not accepting cards, its only cash payment! They did not inform anyone or have any sign for people to know cash only and no cards! So you basically you just waste your time shopping around and then get mistreated by ill mannered people!Lady name Amee patel at the check out counter does not have any manners to talk to the customers! Some of their stuff is expired and when you address it they seem not to care! There are lot of other Indian grocery store and you are not the only one! Hope you know that!
Ami is very hard-working person and very well behaved very nice. She always ready for help . She is very friendly. If I come in the store because of her she maintain the store really good I always find what I need . I never see her sit down always working. She is helping cashier and the customer if they looking anything she is always greeting all customer and happy to help everyone.
As an Indian, I find this store as one of the best places for Indian supplies near my locality. You will find mostly everything to cook proper Indian meals. This is a great place to get your monthly Indian provisions. You can also shop for select utensils here. Prices are decent. Worth a visit to see if this is the place for your Indian supplies.
We love South Asian food, and stores like this are great fun. My first time here--found tons of great foods and condiments and tea and rice; brands or types that we havent tried before. Prices were good, the employees were very friendly and helpful, and the selection was great. (The store is vastly bigger than it looks from the front.) Highly recommended!
Selling expired products. I bought a soya product that was expired. When I came back to return and asked the owner of the store was very rude saying it’s my responsibility to check expiry while buying and not their responsibility. This is the second time happening where I noticed an expired product sold here. When I went to take a pic to post here, the lady followed me and asked me to delete the pics from my phone. Never had such a bad experience in a store.
Love this funky grocery store the layouts a little weird but its interesting. I picked up a few thing including flour just for flat breads made a world of a difference in my Naan bread. If you enjoy the grand Asian market this place is working towards that just with Muslim Indian Middle Eastern foods.
This is the best place to buy a variety of legumes and spices and vegetables. The section of cooking utensils and dishes is great, too.
Its so difficult to find body art quality henna in the local indian store where i live. Not only does this store have it, but they also have a wide variety. It was easy to find
If i had an option to give them negative rating i would. I went there yesterday for the first time. We bought some groceries and a pressure cooker, the lady at the cashier told us multiple times that they wont return pressure cooker if its not working or so. Then i guess the owner lady walked in as well and she was like let me open and show you guys that this cooker has everything. If you take home and it does not work then its your fault. My friend was little concern that why they have been saying that so many times. Anyways we bought the cooker and found out it wont work at all. I am pretty sure they know that there is issue with their product but still selling it to people and confirming that they cant refund. I find it very unethical business policy. I would never go there again and suggest anybody i know to avoid this place.
They do have more selection of items available than Patel Brothers little ways down the road. Could do with better lighting maybe, and some renovation to the store.
Great selection, good prices, friendly and helpful staff.
Very bad customer service, management was very rude and even cashier was very rude, not helpful at all have been shopping there for 2 years but dont feel like shopping at Around the World anymore because of their bad customer service and rude cashier. Very disappointed
Much bigger than many of the stores in west Cary and Morrisville side. Had lots of options as well. The staffs are so humble and you will feel like valued customer which is not common now a days with many other Indian groceries in the area.
I picked up this Fruit cake as my last item for the day, I didnt see the expiry/ best before date that was stamped on it as 06/22/2020. I bought it home and the next morning I tasted the fruit cake and instantly realized it had gone bad and checked to see the date only to realize it has expired. If this was any other grocery store they would have checked to make sure the packaged food items were properly stocked and any other expired items are thrown out.
Fun Indian grocery with so much choice!
Vast selection of Indian grocery items, especially in the packaged food category. Fresh vegetables section could have been better with really fresh vegetables.
Fresh produce and vast range of packaged items. Very supportive staff.
Don’t go here unless you are Indian, I got followed around the store but multiple different people and the staff were extremely rude. Shop elsewhere
Got plenty of goods from South Africa in this store. Saved on going all the way to Mathews NC.
We went to do shopping here around 1pm on a Monday. We were ready to check out and standing 6 feet apart from the cashier and another customer who was checking out. We had waited for 5 min. As we waited our turn, another older Indian man came up from the other side of the line and went to cashier to check out passing by us. I told the older gentleman “sir, we are in the line, we were here before you”. He didn’t even acknowledge or look at us. The cashier looked at us and heard us say “we are in line and waiting our turn, we were here first”. Still looking at us she started checking him out. We walked out without buying anything. Just because we don’t look Indian does not mean you pretend like we don’t exist and ignore us. Called the manager to report this incident. The manager pretended like she didn’t understand us, asking us to repeat what happened again and again. The customer service is really bad, From the cashiers to everyone else. We stopped going to this place and will never go again. We have had another incident before where we were charged more than the price tag on the shelf. If I could give it minus 10 stars to this place, I would. We do shopping at Patel Brothers now, right down the street. They are better, clean, good customer service and helpful staff. Not only that, they are cheaper by $1 to $2 on everything we buy.
Good selection of Indian products and produce. Clean, organized, and cordial staff.
I must admit that theyve got products which arent found at Patel Brothers but the staff aint too friendly and beware of the broken main door.
Lots of choice, helpful. Thank you guys.
Well stocked and great variety.
Great selection of spices and dry goods.
Great products but checkout is horrible. 6 customers with carts full of groceries and only 1 line open for checkout.
This is mostly (if not entirely) an Indian supermarket. If youre looking for anything Indian youll most likely find it. Most if not all of the brands are imported and authentic. Big selection of spices, rice, and frozen items (naan bread, paratha, etc.) among many other things. Produce section is somewhat small/limited
Treated like a criminal from the moment we walked in. We were being constantly watched for every movement and offered no assistance. Guess they don’t want everyone’s money because I can get every single item in their store elsewhere and will from now on.
Great store with a really good variety of grocery.
They have almost everything you can imagine. One stop shop for all Indian grocery needs. Fast checkout and large open aisles. Parking is easy. Prices fair. Took off one star for the general cleanliness and odor.
Well stocked Asian, Indian groceryIot of fresh herbs and vegetarian, vegan snacks !Liked their veggie wraps, healthy & tasty.
Google directed us to this Market to find Ahmad brand tea. It was there in abundance. Customers and staff were all masked, and incense smoldered near the door. Ive never been to a grocery like this one, and I enjoyed it. Such a pleasant surprise.
Cultural market. Products are Very interesting
Good assortment of products, clean store and quick and easy checkout!
Everyone in here is rude don’t ask them a question... stank face. Last time and never again.
Great South Asian Market.
Great choices, service.
Amazing Indian Grocery!
Wonderful market full of spices, beans and much more.
Good customer service. Helpful staff. I went there specifically to buy Indian spices. Got all I needed. Thank you! 😊
Good one
I really like the wide selection here. The parking in front is small, but theres more parking available in the back. I especially love the spicy, aromatic atmosphere which is found in most asiatic grocery stores and/or herbal supply stores! Theyre prices are fair and comparable to larger chain stores. If you love exotic cuisine or just want to try something different, Id recommend this store if youre in North Carolina.
It was an okay store. Customer service was good but could be better on hygiene
I dont usually go there but whenever I do I get my groceries and other requirements at reasonable amounts.
Need more products...
Excellent market, looks small on outside but is a large store. They carry wide variety of inexpensive produce, spice, frozen food as well as kitchenware and all kinds of rice. We love their loose ahmad brand tea.
Not enough help on service
Good place. Has most of the FMCG products. Decent staffs
All the south east Asian items, plus its not as crowded as Patel Brothers
Around the World Market has the most HORRIBLE Customer Service. The only way to describe the workers and customer service is INSULTING, AWFUL, DISGUSTING, and UNKIND. I asked them if they would deliver groceries to my house and they said they would. After that I asked them if I ordered the items now when would they arrive at my house. And the worker just replied with no. And before I could ask them what is that supposed to mean, without any warning they hung up while I was talking. Never going to that store again. Feeling very ashamed by the store for insulting me. There you go Around the World I am going to a new Indian Store no matter how far it is away from you because I know I will get better service and more reasonable workers to deal with.
I’ve been shopping here a few years and they always have what I need. Even when I’ve needed help cooking Indian dishes, staff was quick to help me select the proper items to make them. I really enjoy the little eatery next door as well.
Love to go to this place, all indian groceries are available. Fresh vegetables, spices and indian snacks. This is my favorite to shop during weekend because you can shop and sip a tea and samosa in next shop..they also have frozen vegetables and other sweet items.. you can also have membership here and gather points not sure when and how to redeem but Im sure it can be redeemed after certain sum..place to go
Useful but shady like pretty much all Indian stores around. Just check the expiration date before buying anything and you should be good. Some items are really really old.
There are specific products such as spices, rice, ginger, etc. which you can buy at this store with pretty good prices, varieties and qualities.Other than that, I don’t typically buy much from here. The checkout process is often times long, not so good, and even confusing at times with the cashier. They can certainly improve a lot more if they want to.
Great store, friendly staff
The girl was too rude. It was my first visit at the store. I asked to check the price of rice and she said she can’t leave the counter because she was training somebody. Really? I work at Target and I know how corporate works, What would happened if she could go and see the price? Nobody is going to rob your store ma’am. Either way, she just lost a customer because of her poor and arrogant behavior. Right after that, I went to “Patel Brothers” and everything there is same as “Around the World Market” and the staff was friendly. Even the rice I was looking was $12.99 while at Around the World, it was $16.99. I would suggest people here to go other places. That girl needs to take some ethics classes.
I love the selection of products and produce. They have reasonable prices. Unfortunately, their location isnt convenient.
This is one of the better places in the area for Indian groceries. Most of the aisles are well stocked. The veggies are mostly fresh.Update: The service levels have really gone down off late. Few times the prices that we were charged were higher than what they had displayed for some items. I would suggest verifying the prices on the receipt once you check out, because they dont have any display facing you where you can view the prices as they check you out.
This used to be one of our favorite places to shop. Unique items and brands from around the world. We have shopped there for at least10 years... driving 50 miles to get there.Over the past year, the inventory has changed and no longer have the items we want. The staff didnt seem to think our desires were of any concern. We will not be back.
Well rounded set of ingredients. Pleasing to locals and internationals out alike. Gluten free and healthy ingredients available for everyone! Also, with Sukhadia neighboring, great service by offering tasty meals and groceries in one locality. Why not kill two birds with one stone?
WORST customer service, the old lady needs to be fired IMMEDIATELY, she does not know how to talk to a customer. DONT SHOP HERE, GO TO PATEL BROTHERS, Way better customer service and price
Definitely the place to get all your specialty spices, legumes, flours, and ingredients for Indian cuisine. Great selection of frozen prepared food too.
Good selection, helpful staff. If you think they dont have what you need, make sure you ask before you leave. Every time I thought they didnt have what I wanted, the staff immediately showed me where to find it. Also ask about the loyalty program based on phone numbers
I go back there from time to time. Wide selection of products. You get everything you can imagine from India. Like the frozen cut vegetables section. Clean and organized. They also have an adjacent snack -sweet shop. Not a big fan of that though.
The employees that work there dont have a clue where items are located. Poor customer service as well. Besides that, the store is nice and clean and have alot of variety
One of the worst Indian stores, the people who works their are rude, 0 customer service. I wish I can give them 0 star. I dont recommend this store to any one.
Can use some clean up and would look much better if it was organized.
They have a good collection of products and you get pretty much everything Indian.
Very nice place for shopping
Went to Maya Beauty Spa & Salon and got a gorgeous henna tattoo for my daughter. Maya was super nice and the prices were great. Would definitely come back.
Nice Indian store..nice selection of Indian chocolates and incense sticks!
Great to buy fresh vegetables
WROST INDIAN STORE-3 EXPERIENCES1) WEIGHING IS WRONG- I CAUGHT 2 TIMES2) QUALITY NOT GOOD3) ALWAYS SELL EXPIRIED PRODUCT- ASKED 3 TIMES, THEY ANSWERED RUDLY
Amazing selection and in a good location for those of us in Raleigh. Additional parking in the back. Another choice besides chain grocery stores. Fair prices.
Convenient. Large selection of different spices and rice around the world. Had mostly everything I needed for grocery shopping to include a nice selection of fresh vegetables.
The store provides an excellent variety of options in every product. Indian or international. Friendly staff with guides at every other aisle. Definitely recommend for students shopping for the first time!
Never had complaints, reasonable quality, price is higher side. Lot of time prices are incorrectly displayed.
3 big bunches of cilantro for $1. Big bunch of fresh mint for less than $1. Spices at low prices. Lentils of all sorts. Every rice you can imagine. HUGE selection!
Best among all indian grocers for fresh vegetables, range of sauces and snacks. Fresh produce are sorted out well to remove old and stale leaf vegetables and typically stocked very well. Some stores I see, have a situation of raided look after busy days like Saturday evening etc., these guys are good, prices are fair
Neat, well organized, well lighted Indian Grocery store closer to Morrisville area in North Carolina in a small strip. Parking is a big problem. Good fresh veggies, reasonably priced items. Selling Vegetarian foods only.
Ive been told in the past to avoid this store due to subpar customer service but I choose to visit this store anyways and regret that decision. When we entered, we grabbed a bag because the baskets were not readily available and it seemed like the closest thing to a basket we could use. While shopping, the cashier was staring at us down and when we came to the register she did not say hello or good evening and just said that Next time I had to get a basket. Rather than stare at us, she couldve just handed us one of the several baskets behind her and explained respectfully that we needed a basket. Its clear the management does not care about customer service as the older female cashier who works there has no idea how to communicate with the customers respectfully. Also, if your store has a certain procedure they follow with checking customers out during the day, this procedure should be followed when the manager is not in the store. This location has a rewards program that we always use whenever we come. Today she decided that she should not say hello, reprimand us for using a bag, then not even ask if we had a rewards number. When I asked her why she didnt ask us she said that she looked at our items and the individual items needed to be priced above $1 in order to count towards the reward program. So she didnt feel the need to ask for our number. This was the first time I heard this excuse as we always buy those products from here and never once heard of this rule. Last time I checked, if management has a policy in place its not the cashiers choice to pick and choose which parts of the policy they want to follow. If you are going to choose to have cashiers who can not understand simple aspects of customer service such as communication and respect, maybe I should frequent one of the other dozens of Indian stores in the area.
Good place to get south Asian grocery
As soon as you enter the cashier will give you a Mean look. The radio was too loud, it was like a loud speaker of Bombay streets. Not at all organised. Two check out register 1 on the entrance ( the mean guy) other on the center. Need an organized check out system near the gate (exit) with a smiling person.
Bit higher price
Good for Indian groceries.....dont expect much about local items. The adjacent snacks bar is really good. Any one can visit just to have awesome snacks.
Lots of seasoning for your food.
The people who work here are not friendly at all. That is the first thing I notice. They do have a lot of variety in stock and their fresh produce is pretty good.
Nice reasonable prices. Pretty good options!!Nice indian food adjacent to the grocery store.
Nice place for all kinds of staples
Nice Indian store, however I recommend the owners to enlighten customers about rewards programs. I got awareness on this program after completing purchase for $200.
Most items have crossed expiry dates. When complained they take it very lightly. In fact, when I said the tea was expired, you wont believe the lady said tea tastes better as it ages. Im not visiting this place again.
Solid indian market
These people store expired items! Be extremely careful before buying anything from them! Even after complaining multiple times they haven’t started removing their expired products. Making fool out of fellow Indian customers, just because we don’t have many options to buy Indian groceries.
Best Indian grocery store in cary morrisville area.No other grocery store is as big as this one and has wide range of selections.
Please cross verify the bill. They mostly do wrong. Very disappointed.
