Awesome place to visit. Jon and his mother are two incredibly nice people. Jon really knows his magic. Stop by and let him teach ya trick or two. Youll be amazed! ๐ฒ
Just left this store and cannot believe this man. He has no ability to communicate with children and is beyond rude. He was obviously frustrated that my son was excited and wanted to touch the toy we were about to buy. I finally said to him that I was sorry we were frustrating him. As I was about to give him money, he said you know what - no. I am not selling you anything. He told me all the flaws with my child and with me, as he saw it. I freely admit I told him I understood why his store is closing. I then started to explain to my son, crying now, that some adults just dont get along .... and then the man said he wouldnt sale the item to me (mother) but he would sale it to my son. Of course my son was worried about his lack of funds (he is 7). The man gave it to him. I gave $10 for a $3 toy.I dont want him to be without profit but - wow - he had a unique store and opportunity.I was relieved (sadly) to see that my exact thoughts were similar to others in the past couple of weeks.
Great stock in this store. Jon is a great guy and made us feel welcome the minute we walked in. I am glad to have a good source of magic in the area. I am happy to support him for all my magic needs.
I recently discovered magic with my son only to find out that this store has hit tough times. They are only staying open if they make enough to keep it open at the end of each month. They survived last month but only thanks to the good people interested in this time honored tradition. Stores like this provide first hand advice and knowledge of magic. Online stores try to mimic such salesmanship but technology just cant compare to the real thing. Where else can you get live instruction of a trick you want to learn. Real world experience beats youtube hands down any day. If you have a child or you yourself are interested in magic, please check this store out. They have a great selection of stage makeup as well.
Jon has an awesome magic store at the Magic Corner!! Ive been going there for many years and will continue to do so. I love going there because he very knowledgeable and helps you find exactly what you need. If he doesnt have the effect you are looking for he can find it for you and help you with your performance as well!
Great dude, great personality, knows what heโs doing, just overall a great soul. Itโs sad that heโs closing soon. I hope he gets that spark of luck that keeps him in business.
Amazing! The people there were so nice! They helped me find what I was looking for and explained things so easily. Will definitely be going back!
Still open, but not quite the inventory from years ago. Please Visit, great store. Many hard to find magic items.
As a kid a great joy was going to Als Magic Shop in Washington DC where Al would show me the tricks with in my price range. Then after showing I would pick the ones I could afford and it he would show me how to do them. You can get this on a video or off the web but you can get this at The Magic Corner. I recommend if for business as well and often carry a magic trick in my pocked. He even has great tricks to do with a simple business card. Few real close-up magic stores are still in business and this is the best Magic store I have seen on the East Cost. Raleigh and Durham have a treat by having this locally owned store in our area.Martin Brossman
Amazing place and the owner can show you tricks. People please keep it upon for at least a couple more months
Great little magic/costume shop. On the 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month they offer magic classes for kids.
I always buy from Jon. He carries the Wolfe and,Mehran that I need. Thanks Jon and the Magic Corner.
The guy is nuts. I certainly would never take a kid in there. He says the store is closing...I am not surprised. Most hateful, rude, nasty human I have ever met.
This place rules!
So great
