First and last time visiting an Ulta Beauty store.No salesperson would help me find the products I needed, but they had no problems being pushy, demanding, and rude at checkout. I had to say no to joining their membership FIVE times and explain why before she finally rang up my stuff, very curt and unhappy with me. I thought it was optional??
Horrible salon, even when they “fix” what they messed up, it goes back to how bad it looked before. Thank you for taking my confidence and making me feel ugly!
This is my favorite Ulta. The store is a decent size and nicely organized. I always enjoy my trips even though I always spend more than I had planned. 😆 I find the staff to be helpful and nice. And the 1 time I had and issue the company when above and beyond to make it up to me.

Super long story short...Just a waste of time with no apology. It would have been a totally different experience if they could have just said We are sorry. During these times, I know patience is a must but so is being kind and apologetic when working in a customer service oriented position. Will be thinking of Nordstrom customer service for all my beauty needs in the future.
The ladies were nice, however it’s a little frustrating when you buy 3 items (All listed as in stock and available for pickup) and get told your order is ready for pickup but aren’t informed you’ll only be getting one of those items and the item that is literally useless without getting the rest of what was ordered. Should probably let people know they are getting a 1/3 of what they are expecting before they drive out of the way. Especially when there is plenty of contact info asked for upon purchasing.

Had a really bad experience today at the Ulta in Rancho Santa Margarita. I came in within 10 minutes of them closing and just needed to exchange a foundation product when the manager came over she told me that she is not working at a bougie make up counter and cant color match me and that my guess was as good as hers. I didnt want to get color matched, all I wanted was help on exchanging a foundation that was similar to the one that I had because they were sold out of that one. She was extremely rude to me when I didnt even ask her to color match me. Her coworker said Im not good at this let me get my manager and that was the FIRST thing the manager said to me.. I wasnt asking to be color matched at all just wanted a foundation brand similar to the one that they were sold out of. I actually ended up crying in my car after this experience thats how mean she was. So disappointing because I was helped by really nice employees the last time and the manager this time really ruined any chance of me wanting to go back there.
Good selection of cosmetics and hair tools, and assistance is easy to get, IF you are in pricey side of store. 20% off ses are worth waiting for when you can save on gift items and regular stock for your own needs. I prefer to shop here for my products.
I LOVE ulta! They have great products for anything cosmetic. Also if youre not completely satisfied they will give you a full refund. I recently bought a pretty expensive highlighter and it broke in my purse. I was able to go in and exchange it for a new one and Im so happy. Not many stores let you do this! Im glad that they have this option since it makes buying expensive makeup less stressful.

Four employees chatting at the entrance and welcoming..... I looked over Stila eyeliners for about 10 minutes, no one addressed me. Walked past the same group to the checkout LINE with one cashier and I’m third in line waiting and so one is also behind me. The lady in front of me has a huge bag of stuff. Still no other cashier until I call over to them and say “can’t someone help out over here” . Their personal conversations were much more important. Big Fail Ulta. Got 2 stars because you had the product in stock.
Organized store, and the staff is very helpful! Giving 4 stars because they often have an overwhelming crew of employees trying to sell you or teach you about products at the front of the store... And it makes for an awkward trip when you just want to get in and get out without having to reject human beings for doing their jobs....
Great prices and selection. Something for everyone. People to help if you want it but also freedom to just look around.

You can find just about anything for your beauty needs. Its a great store and the ladies are very helpful once you find one to help. They are usually around somewhere but sometimes just pass you by even if they see you looking around. But usually its ok.
-1 Ive been walking around the store for more than 20 minutes and I did not receive any customer service. Take note the store wasnt busy but I guess they are probably more busy. Its also funny cause another lady went in and the employees were so quit help her. I can understand I wasnt exactly dressed rich haha.-1 most of the products dont have testers and most of the products werent organized, its weird cause its like the store didnt have enough employees.Other than that I did like the cashiers good service and the variety of products, Ulta has to offer.
I walked in today looking for a products I made sure were in store, the woman who ended up helping me actually saw me walking around store for about 10 minutes and didnt offer any help until I approached her with the photo of the item in hand, to which she directed me. She then said I could pay up front... (I am well aware of where to pay, whos to say I didnt want to look around a bit?) anyway, I felt rushed and specifically looked at as if I were going to do something with the product (I dont know why they were assuming- maybe conceal it? ) I dont know why I would do that yet make myself entirely conspicuous and not to mention I have money and intent to pay. Im not poorly groomed but on the other hand I wasnt dolled up to the nines. Dont know how this makes a difference, just pointing out the blantant difference in service I experience when coming to patronize this store.Regardless, the woman who wouldnt move until I requested her assistance was following me around the store and tried lean over to the aisle I was in ... mind you her department is on the other side of the store.I mean, if loss is such a big deal, get a security guard and sensors or something .. following people around and making them feel uncomfortable is not cool.Also not to mention, when something is labeled with a price, I would assume it would ring up at that price... guess again, I purposely bought $3.99 eyelashes only to walk out to see on my receipt that they were $8.99... they were labeled and their display said $3.99.... this is so aggravating to say the least, especially when you have a limited amount of time to shop and dont have time to go back and argue the display price to the price showing up when the sku is scanned/input..try harder and get some sensitivity training or shell out for what I mentioned before : loss prevention and security . I saw another woman carrying tons of items in her hands and employees were just obvious to her because they were honing in on me during the 10 minutes I was in the store... is this a racial thing ? this was ridiculous ..
Service here is always professional and courteous. The store is beautifully maintained and their shelves are well stocked and the merchandise is displayed for eye appeal as well as easy access. This is fast becoming my go to store for all my cosmetic needs. Also, unlike Sephora you are able to use your points towards purchases rather than having to settle for something that you dont really need.

My hair cut by the salon manager who spoke highly how she can cut hair fast with 20 years of experience did by far the worst job cutting my hair. It was suppose to be one length no layers and I had to go somewhere else to have it fixed bc she clearly was more focused on the timer she set and sweeping the hair off of the floor in the middle of the hair cut instead. Their were chunks of hair especially in the back that she didn’t cut that I had to pay for someone to get the job done. It clearly shows why if someone has 20 years of experience why they’d work there. Also, when you walk in the employees at the front instead of greeting you, just stare and not say anything. I noticed how bc I’m not Caucasian as the employees at the front counter are and the customer walking in after me was too they were greeted. This store location by far has the worse customer service. All other ULTA Locations have great customer service regardless if I’m their race or not.

I came in for some hair products and randomly wound up talking with a very nice esthetician named Janea Meyer. She offered some skincare samples and we talked about some natural products I liked and she gave recommendation of some others I might like as well. She told me about some facials she offers and how they would help some of my breakouts and dryness Ive been having. She was very very sweet, informative, all without seeming judgemental, and she did a great job giving a relaxing facial. She gave some follow up advice and I was all done in about 30 mins. (My skin feels incredible now by the way) thanks Janea!

I love this place but Im a little disturb on seeing high school girls come in to open some of the product and write on their bodies I was ready to spend my hard earn money but was grossed out by seeing a young teen girl sitting on the floor drawing with the eyeliners on her body I had to walk out
