When I first was deciding to live in a senior resident community I was not fond of the idea since I am so use to being on my own, but coming to Willow was the best decision. The staff are great and the food is amazing! I love the activities that we can get involved in, they are so much fun. Willow is a very well run, organized building.
I have been living here at Willow for several months and I love it. The staff are wonderful and very patient. My suite is comfortable and its the person size for me. My fellow resident community are super friendly, and I have befriended one in particular who has become my best friend, she helps me a lot! Overall I love living at Willow
I wanted to thank all the wonderful staff for being so kind. My fellow residents here at Willow are easy going and friendly. As for the staff they are all charming and helpful. Theyre a few exceptional and outstanding ones that do the extra mile. Josie: my housekeeper, Mae: the office manager, Holly: my server, Michelle: for ensuring we are entertained and for Wendy: for getting me into this home. Overall I love living at Willow, i recommend other to live here too.
Living at Willow, I loved the social aspect, having life at my front door. I loved meeting people from all walks of life, right at home. I remember the day I moved in, It was happy hour and I was so concerned about all the boxes I had to unpack, I convinced myself that I should do down and meet some of the residents. I did and there was a lady there I had known from a long time ago, that I had lost contact with; Irene shuffled over and made space for me, that moment I knew I was home. I also loved and appreciated Michelle for all she did and still does, to entertain all the residents and keep us busy with Bingo, crafts and exercises etc. One of my favourite Managers was always upbeat and always seemed excited to be at work he had introduced new things to do and was always involved with whatever was going on. Before I moved to Willow I lived alone and was able to socialise and get out, but here at Willow staff and residents was the icing on the cake.
A total new way of living out the remainder of our lives a) without the stress of individually grocery shopping weekly, B) daily meal preparations c) eating alone D) stress free maintenance for all of the electrical appliances. E) many normal activities one has to go out for are all under one roof EX: immunization, daily mail delivery, hair salon, daily activities as in exercises, entertainment brought in (excluding COVID times) F) proximity to walk to a mall, the lab, bank are within walking distance from the Willow. To meet many new friends in our senior years is an uplifting experience. The staff i found in all departments are well chosen to work with people in their senior years and understand their specific needs.
Sadly we just lost our Grams. We truley thought that she was getting good care . However because of covid we were not able to go in and see the level of care for our selfs . After she passed the following day we were asked to come clean out her room. We are absolutely Disgusted by the cleanliness of her bedroom. Her wheelchair was crusted with food and or bodily fluids and not in a condition that I would want any Human sitting in. Chartwell manager said to us that it was being deep cleaned weekly while grams was showered. However the level of filth and state of her bedroom shows other wise . I have sent pictures of her wheelchair back to chartwell and although they have now agreed to have it professional cleaned, that really doesn’t make up for the level of filth my grams has been living in. I hope anyone considering chartwell care can keep a close eye on their loved ones and advocate for the proper care they deserve .
The fact that I can do what I want when I want without limitations is an amazing thing especially since I am not ready to give up my independence. Chartwell has given me that luxury (unless off course its during COVID). I love my suite I feel very comfortable and it feels like home. The staff here are positive and kind. I welcome any fellow seniors to join us.
Willow is a great place to live, I love everything about Willow especially the staff. My experience here is positive and wonderful. I enjoy the food most of the time. I recommend this home to anyone who wants to live in a place where you feel welcome and cared for.
I have lived at Willow for a few years and I love everything about this place. The people I live with are great and the staff are amazing!
As soon as I stepped into Chartwell Willow, I knew this was my home. the decor is lovely, cozy and welcoming. The staff care exceeds my expectations. The kitchen and dining room staff are friendly and helpful. All the other staff members have a genuine outlook for the happiness and well being of the residents, which make me happy and comfortable that I live here.
Being that I dont have family near by, it has been very hard to get to appointments and with the help of all the wonderful and caring staff at Willow, they have made living at Willow a blessing. I love the people, the staff, the activities and the food. I am very thankful that I live here and would recommend living here.
Very Happy with Willow Manor. My mom has been in care for over a year and the staff are friendly and my mom loves them all. I only wish I could see her but I know they are following Health Board rules which only allows one designate person. They do set up zoom calls for me though :)
I couldnt be happier living at Willow. It truly is a wonderful place to live. the staff has gone over and beyond to keep us safe during this pandemic. I love where I live.
One of the most notable feature of this residence is the spaciousness of the lounge, dining room, activity room and suites. After visiting Chartwell Willow for the first time last year, it felt like home, this is the kind of place where people can discover how great senior living can be.
I love everything about willow, living here is such a blessing. Everyone is super friendly, staff are amazing, and the food is absolutely delicious

The atmosphere at chart-well is very warm and welcoming. I am very appreciative how hard the staff has been working to keep all of us safe during the pandemic.
Chart well has a great atmosphere, everyone is super friendly and welcoming. and there is always someone around to help if you need it.
This has been a Covid challenging year for all. Especially for seniors, their families, friends and loved ones at retirement homes. Dementia/Covid is devastating. My heart felt thanks and gratitude to all the staff including kitchen/ dining room. From turning on tvs, find keys, dentures wallets, ect ect ect. List is endless for all families involved as our loved ones are isolated during these trying times. Office Manager Mae Tengo...you and your staff are all caring, kind, patient and loving to all! Thank you. Everyones hard work keeping our loved ones safe is appreciated. Thank you again everyone for your dedication. Youre a special team!
Willowmanor in Maple Ridge is beautiful! It’s elegant decor makes it seem like a fancy hotel. My mom has been a resident since July 2020. She loves all the staff and the personal day to day contact is enjoyable. The ladies that distribute her pills 3x’s a day are lovely... every single one of them. (This is my moms opinion, and what I can see, they treat her with love and respect). The management there is extremely helpful and are on the residents side; they support the residents cares and concerns. And as a family member to a resident, I can honestly say that the management and staff work to help us and our mom go through this covid times and struggles. Thanx Willow!
Warm and friendly environment, staff are wonderful. I am happy to call it home.
Willow is a wonderful place to live, the good food, the beautiful ladies at the front desk to talk to and a good warm welcoming environment
My dad has lived here for 6 years. He is well cared for by wonderful staff.
Horrible place. If you care about your elderly family members I would not recommend this place to anybody. It is a well-known fact in the community that they will try to be nice to you before you move your loved one in and then they give the worst service imaginable. Dont just walk away from this facility but if you are smart you will run.
Beautiful place next to small river
Great meals, lots of activities
