The bathrooms were semi-clean and they had an impressive selection of beef jerky. The gas prices were above average, mind you. Still, not a bad spot to get a snack and use the loo. There are plenty of gas stations in this town...and not too many in this part of New Mexico overall.

Multiple pumps are down, and had to plunge a toilet because it was super busy and the staff hadn’t done it.Convenient location, but take the detour to go somewhere else. We lost 20+ minutes on our trip.

Absolutely disgusting bathroom. All trash cans were full. Toilet tissue and paper towels on floor. Paper towel dispenser out of order but role of paper towels on wet counter. Soap dispenser had catch bowl underneath to catch soap. Blood on wall by toilet. How do employees work and think thats OK? Gross!

I love this place! Very clean and always friendly service.

To be frank, this place usually makes me feel really uncomfortable, and Im usually a fan of Chevron truck stops. Dont know what it is but I avoid after multiple times having things feel really off. Otherwise, its relatively clean, bright lights.

Don’t ever stop here, bathrooms are never kept clean especially with the COVID-19. Toilets are disgusting, cashier doesn’t seem happy, definitely not a friendly environment.

Friendly staff..and clean bathrooms. They have new owners and its always a great place to stop when traveling.

Parked on the side of the building (not at the pump) - walked in and owner (presumably) immediately told me bathrooms are for paying customers only. I then told him I was going to go to the bathroom. He said no you arent - then I told him I would buy something after.Bad service doesnt even begin to describe this place. Ill never use the castle gas station again.

I was impressed initially after stopping here, it has a comfortable but fun 50s retro style to it! Clean restrooms and very friendly service! Ill know where to stop on my trips through Raton from now on!

Would give a zero. Never got my cash discount on my gas and I travel to much for that game. I go across the street the place dont look like much but they say hi, know how to smile, will point to the bathroom, always give you your discount on gas for cash, oh and say have a good day.smh what happened to guest service.

With Raton Pass closed down the manager or owner wanted everyone off his property. Everyone was waiting for the interstate to open up and no one was impeding his business. He was very inconsiderate and rude about the whole thing.

Really nice and clean restrooms. The store clerk was also very friendly and they had a great service of snacks and even souvenirs.

Ive stopped here three times in the last year and a half.Guy up front running the register has been less than friendly OR helpful each time. (Hope hes not the owner.)Restrooms are always either out of order/being serviced right now (wait 15-20 minutes) or are for paying customers only - the latter of which I cant really argue with.Pretty sure all the coffee is decaf, and it was $2 and up for a 24oz. EACH.They were all out of bagged ice the last twice I was there.How this place is still open with the two large, clean stations just east of it is kinda beyond me. On that note, and for the record, it wasnt me who made the choice to stop at that particular station. Lol

Nice staff, but $2+ for a small cup of coffee in my own 20oz travel mug.

I normally wouldnt write a review for a gas station but this was beyond horrible. The owners were so disgustingly rude I would encourage you to get gas ANYWHERE else. A family had just gotten gas and the mother went inside and asked the woman (who was the owner) if she could heat a little milk in the microwave for her babys bottle. The woman yelled at the mother telling her to buy something or get out because nothing is free. I was mortified she would treat anyone that way. We asked her to return our purchase because we will not support a business who treats their customers so poorly but she said she couldnt return it and threatened to call the police If I didnt sign my credit card slip. Dont support these people.

Horrible service from what seemed like the guy who runs it. He said out loud that he just lost a diesel sale because someone was parked at the pump. I was inside using the restroom and about to buy snacks and fill up. I walked out and went nextdoor. With that service, they dont deserve to be open for business!

I have stopped here for over 20 years and spent hundreds of dollars on fuel and snacks. That ended today when I met the owner for the first time. He accosted me outside for using the squeegee and asked me intrusive questions about how much money I was planning to spend and not to use the restroom unless I was shopping. Done.

Walked in, first thing the lady asked me what did I need? I said I need to use your restroom and she told me it’s being serviced...for 15-20 minutes. Very rude to me. We were gonna purchase a few snacks too. Take your business down the road, these people are rude.
