I bent the trim ram piston on my Mercury 250 4 Stroke (self-inflicted) and it was keeping me from fishing. I called Ravenna Marine and spoke to James in service letting him know my issue and what I needed from a repair standpoint. James did research while on the phone with me and found the parts needed for the repair. They were on backorder from Mercury, so we placed the order and James said he would give me a call when they arrived. I got two calls from James, one letting me know they shipped, and a second that they arrived at the shop. We scheduled a date for me to drop off the boat, and they estimated 1-2 days before the tech could get to it and repair it. 3 hours after dropping off the boat I received a call from James saying the trim was fixed and the boat is ready to be picked up. I was taken back that they had managed to get it repaired much faster than anticipated. I cannot say enough good things about Ravenna Marine, James, and the service techs. They are top notch in every aspect of what they do. This was my second time visiting Ravenna Marine for service. The first was a few years ago on Mercury recall and the service was equally as good as my second experience. James called every time he said he would and was responsive via email as well. They have made me a customer for life, and I trust them completely with my boat and motor.

Bought my used 18 boat here this summer, also got it winterized last week. Great service, answered all of my questions and sent out an instructor with me to show me how to use my new (to me) boat. Fair pricing with no haggling required.

Very bad experience. Bought a used motor and it was junk in 3 weeks. They actually told me those are the risks of buying used motors. Pos place.

Double check that your blower hoses are hooked up when you get your boat back (hate to see someones boat explode)... and that your air filter is installed right side up. Rookie mechanics. Told us our boat needed a new top end after 3 failed attempts to repair.. it just needed new injectors. Beware. Save your money go elsewhere.

James and his service crew are absolutely top-notch, always willing to go above and beyond to ensure that the customer is happy....Fair pricing, high quality work, done efficiently. You wont find a better repair department anywhere!

First, I was Told two of my batteries were Shot and NOT DEEP CYCLE and needed replaced after Ravenna Marine tested them. I had just bought the batteries a year prior, SO upon further investigation there was NOTHING wrong with my batteries and they were DEEP CYCLE. The holes they drilled for fish finder looked as though they were punched not drilled and no protection placed on wires to stop it from rubbing on metal.( RUBBER GROMET) Third thing I found was after they changed lower unit oil we took it home and lowered the motor to find all of the oil running out. The work completed was not done with any care or attention to detail. Amateur at Best. I WILL NEVER GO BACK.

Excellent service!Service Dept. returned call promptly, scheduled quickly, called me with an estimate in advance and stuck to their estimate. They finished repairs when they promised to have the boat ready.Very professional, friendly, helpful, polite and honest!!!!I highly recommend them.

I dealt with John and James. It Was the best buying experience of anything in my life. We negotiated over the phone. They stuck to their numbers with my trade-in value. No games nor gimmicks just complete satisfaction. I will definitely buy more boats off of them.

BE CAREFUL!! This is my 2nd time to take my boat there and both times my bill is more than what they quoted me. The 2nd time, I receive a call and they told me my out of pocket on an insurance claim was x amount of dollars. When I arrive to pick up my boat it was more than what they called me with.

They inspected my boat for an insurance claim on the motor, my claim was denied, so they didn’t put any the parts back on, they just left the intake and the rest of the parts roll around in the back of the boat, they trashed the interior and then looks like they tried hosing it off, which then froze in my compartment because then they sat it out in the freezing weather. These shysters won’t ever get my business again.
