ACE hardware is an incredible place for me to get gardening tool and plants. They have huge selections of different pepper plants I cannot find anywhere else . I got quite a lot plants from them and all of the plants are healthy. Compared the high price of a vegetable plants in Lowe’s or Home Depot(4.5 dollar a piece ), price of the plants in ACE hardware is more reasonable. I love this place!

I just want to comment on how amazing and honest this specific location is!!! I’ve always come here for any kind of household fix up necessities, and I’ve never had a problem, but my most recent experience has completely restored my faith in humanity. I’m a member of the Ace rewards program - or at least, my husband is 😅 - and I purchased some paint and handed the cashier a $50 Bill. The transaction went normal, the cashier was very nice, and then I went on about my way. About 10 minutes later when I got back home, my husband gets a call FROM Ace hardware. We missed the call, but they left a message and kept it brief (likely for my personal protection) but said that they just wanted to ask me a question about a recent purchase we had made. We called back and were informed that we were given the incorrect change! I was having a very stressful day and when the cashier handed me my change, I didn’t even realize it wasn’t the right amount! The sweet cashier put it in as a $20 instead of a 50, which is very common working retail (I should know, I’ve been in retail for 11 years) and after I had already walked out, she noticed what she had done and notified her manager immediately. Thank goodness we are members of the Ace Rewards, because they never would have been able to contact me. To sum this up, I just want to applaud the cashier for being so honest, because you don’t find that much these days. And I want to thank the manager for contacting me so promptly. Well done Ace Hardward, you’ve got some A+ employees!

The store managers were super nice and helpful. We bought a floor model shelf, they helped break it down and helped up take it to our car. Great service!

This location is not a big box store . It is a neighborhood hardware store that has what I am looking for, but its not rush rush . Its a very large hardware store serving the area. It stocks a homeowners or renters needs and is so much more personal and friendly. I, love the atmosphere. Very very well stocked and competitively priced .

Wednesday morning went to Ace Hardware for a chemical/ bait to kill silverfish. I was welcomed as soon as I entered the door, thats a first but very good. Thats the way customer service should be. The staff was very friendly, helpful & curtious. There was 2 staff members trying to help me. But no luck, no products in stock to kill silverfish.So 1 staff member said he would order something to keep on stock, just in case I have to return. Thank you, Ace Hardware.

I love the place small Hometown feel in the Big Town. Staff is great they always have everything I need. I would recommend this place to anyone unless you need lumber, because they dont have a lumber yard.

One man had great customer service. Young handsome man. But all the ladies seemed to put their work on him. Lady employees had loud inappropriate conversations .

Awesome! I went in and within 15sec of me being there I was asked if I needed help. Guy was kind and then needed help finding one of the items a girl came helped us and then was also my cashier wish I checked their names but they were both so unexpectedly pleasant. Definitely made my trip easy!

I looked around all over Kansas City at Stihl Shredder Vacs And everywhere was sold out so I called Ace to make sure that they had one in stock. they did So I went up and purchased it the people that helped me were extremely friendly lady let me know that I could get a double warranty if I purchased oil to mix for the shredder vac which was a great deal! I also asked them to give me a demo on how everything worked and David helps me with that and that was fantastic he was very informative and I will definitely be back again

This place is always out of stock. EVERY TIME I GO THERE. And they havent updated their service to make phone sales. It hasnt changed to something better. It needs an upgrade on a lot of things. Ill try it one more time to see if its just me or what.

New crew of associates. Not much simple knowledge available heard a gentleman ask where the flower bulbs where. The associate to hom to light bulbs. Then informed client he did not know where the flower bulbs where.

The only issue that I have with this particular location is the delay in pulling online orders.

I did an order online and it said I could pick everything up that day. I wasnt able to pick it up for five days. The people at the store are fantastic. But the website needs a little help.

I am a service plumber that travels the metro and occasionally I have to run to a hardware store for a piece of hardware I dont stock on the truck.Yesterday, I went to this Ace as it was close, and got what I needed. Many of the other reviews comment on how helpful everyone is, but I didnt get any assistance. Then when I went to pay the cashier didnt hardly speak at all to me and just kind of stared at me with a scowl. I know everyone is saying COVID-19 is stressing people out, but...Ive been in places like that a million times, but its not usually a reason to write a review, but on my very next job, I needed another part, so I went back to the same store, maybe an hour later, got no help, and had a different cashier, so you might think it was better. Nope. It wasnt.Ace carries some Milwaukee tools which is nice, but outside of that, they dont have the best selection, they definitely dont have the best prices, and this particular location on 350 is a nightmare to come and go from. The parking lot was have occupied by the plants and outdoor stuff. Its Its just not for me. I shouldve gone a little further to Home Depot or Lowes.

Given the choice between this store and the one in Lees Summit, drive to Lees Summit. This is my second experience of this store. The parking lot was dark, there was a shortage of staff, and the customer service was minimal.In all, I was able to find the product I was looking for after being told its over there, by the trash cans, which would have been beneficial information to anyone who knows where the trash cans were. Finally, at check out I had to repeat my phone number 6 times to look up my rewards; still not sure if it was right.This store may be closer to me, but I will take the extra drive.

I only go to Ace Hardware type of stores for good service and knowledge from employees. Otherwise, there are many other places that have better selections and prices. This location doesn’t have good service or knowledgeable employees. The employees at this store spend their time entertaining each other instead of helping customers. The older woman (03/12/19 at 9:45am) that cashes me out is just mean every time I have been there. The younger employees don’t seem to know what they’re supposed to be doing, and what I suspect is the manager is too busy talking about personal things to help out. Seems like this store has steadily declined over the last year.

This Westlake has misleading signs for their products. The signs have one price and the tags have another. When I told the cashier she was courteous and helpful. But on the other hand the manager was rude and gave me attitude when I said they were misleading labels. Thats when the cashier said if I was going to leave or did I want to get charged a couple more bucks. When I told her to charge me more bucks, they said I was getting smart. I will never shop at this Westlake again, unless they change the staff. Not all the staff were jerks, the gentleman that helped me with the merchandise was courteous.

Went n2 this store just B4 closing. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Told me where the dirt I was looking for was and said if it wasnt enuf hed be willing to go out back to get the larger bag (most folks say come back 2moro). The dirt in the bag I picked up spilled out onto the floor they had just cleaned. Feeling bad, I let him know. He didnt even flinch. Wish I had gotten his name. All this to say overall experience was top notch. Customer service like it should be. Kudos Ace Hardware. Ill be back

Not much in terms of customer service. I stayed in the chainsaw section for ten minutes waiting for someone to help as workers looked on in indifference. Finally just left. While this was not the first time, it will be the last.

Clean store and u might find some great items, but theyre expensive! i went today because i needed black mulch (only black) i didnt drive to my usual shopping area i needed to finish. They r the only store in Raytown that has black mulch.

They run all cards as credit not giving you the option to use a debit... so your debit with a small purchase can be used by a thief and no signature required... also the person at the door asking if your a home owner is super annoying when you go in their multiple times daily

I called to try to get pricing on a big bulk of rock salt bags for my 2 companies that I work for. I was possibly going to set up an account with them if they had good pricing, and possibly give them a significant amount of business. But I never got the chance to speak with anyone. I called, it rang once and immediately was put on hold. No one answered the phone and asked if I would hold. I hung up and tried calling back several times and kept getting the busy signal. Thats too bad. You guys could of had a lot of money come your way.Im all about first impressions, and customer service is a huge thing for me. Not very happy with the first impression that I got.

I was buying painting supplies from the 350 Hwy Westlake/Ace Hardware. Two gentlemen workers were very helpful and took my purchase to my car for me! I have yet to have a negative experience when I have gone here.
