Ordered two carpets on 9/21 paid in full. Salesmen told me they would be in the following Thursday the 29th. Got no call that day called on the 30th on hold very long time and informed they could not find carpets but they would have them on October 7th. Just got off phone, October 7th, after another on hold and told they again don’t have them, asked to talk to manager, he stated they have not left the store they are being transferred from and I SHOULD have them next week. Extremely poor customer service, for a new store just coming into the area if this is their process of dealing with customers, they will fail.

We were told 2-3 weeks for installation of floors and it actually took 9 weeks. No fault directed to Carpet & Tile Mart. Bill, our sales person, I think believed from normal circumstances this would happen. Due to Covid, everything was on back order. As frustrating as it was, Bill and the staff tried their best to make us happy through this long process. They were honest, attentive, and the job has been completed. Again, through no fault of theirs, the sub-contracting installer experience was a hair raising experience. Needless to say, through a tremendous expending of energy on my part and the able assistance of Bill, the floors are complete and it is a happy ending.
Bill is the best when u have to get something done flooring wise go ask for BILL!!! Period!He made sure we are taken care of by answering every questions we got. Tom is great and on time when it comes to measuring our house as well! The floors made me fall in love with my house again. The prices are great and the fact that you will get professionalism and quality. It’s all worth it.
I was very pleased with the professional service. The carpet installation was completed in two days as planned. They cleaned up very well before leaving my home.
I had my carpet bind and was the wrong size by 2 inches because of my mistake when I gave them the size. I took it back and Carlos (nice guy)rebind the carpet to the right size for free as I waited. That is customer service for them to correct my mistake. I was impressed with the whole process with getting the carpet installed in the living room and dining room.
Ordering was great and so was Nicole with the measurements. The lack of communication is my sticking point. No one called to tell me the time of install. I called when the store opened and was told 12:00. At 3:30 I called back, they returned my call at 4:15 and was told 15 minutes. At 5:15pm they show up. Install was going good up to 8:00 when they busted a water pipe behind my toilet. Had to turn water off to the house until I pay for and get my plumber out. The next night at 8:30pm someone I never met knocked on my door saying I need to pay him $250 for the install. What? No! I called Carpet Mart to speak to a manager. All busy and will call you back. No one called!!! No communication ever except from me. Now I’m stuck with an expensive plumbing bill with no acknowledgement from the store!!!

Went to the Fifth Street location today for tile.We are doing a bathroom remodel and the thought of choosing tile was stressing me out.Bill helped us and I was thankful for that. He helped us lay tile out so we could see how everything would flow so in doing this made choosing the tile a lot easier.I highly recommend Carpet & Tile Mart. They offer a service Lowe’s or Home Depot just cannot compete with.
Installers were almost 2.hrs.late arriving. I asked about what.time they would be finished and they actually finished about 2 hrs later the. They stated . My wife and I started cleaning on 1st floor while they finished 2nd floor. The worst part the installer actually asked for extra money. The product we love just wouldnt go here again

We love our new carpet. It was installed the end of June by two wonderful and professional installers. They took great care to insure that all aspects were done correctly and to my liking. Carpet Mart worked with us to get the quality product we needed at the price point we wanted all the while watching out for us. From start to finish, Carpet Mart staffing went above and beyond. I spoke with Lynn initially, she came out and measured the area in our home, and ordered the flooring. Lynn advised of the delivery date and the flooring was delivered, right on time! Lynn advised of the installation date and boom...flooring was installed, right on time! When the installers arrived, under the direction of Ed, they were courteous, prompt, efficient and very skilled!! We are very pleased with how easy Carpet & Tile Mart made new flooring happen in the middle of this pandemic. Amazing attention to detail, very customer driven and so easy to work with. I highly recommend Carpet & Tile Mart !!
The customer service was good up until payment was made. The installer was five hours late, and the company did not bother to call to let know. The installer that arrived stated he was not the scheduled installer, who canceled earlier in the day, and that it was his fifth job of the day. None of that was communicated to me. As you can imagine, the install definitely reflected that it was this person’s fifth job of the day, more details to come. The store in Reading was only booked a week out, also, when scheduling. I doubt much as changed in a week. Store management was not helpful either regarding the situation. The manager claims that it is normal routine for four hour installations to start at 6 PM on Friday nights. Will not go back. The owner’s reply does not reflect what really happened, so updated my review.

I have been waiting for part of my order for almost 5wks. No one can give me an explanation they say they will look into it but never call back. I talked to a manager today who promised to call me back in 15min but as usual never heard back from her. Horrible customer service! I should have known considering someone was questioning his missing order while I was finalizing my order. My realtor who recommend this place is going to get an earful. Now I’m waiting for this missing trim so I can sell this house. Complete redo and my only trouble has been with this company.

Pretty Good. Cheap hardwood. Picked up times are a little slow but got 12 boxes of hardwood spending much less then Home Depot. Carpet & Tile Mart is great for people who can do the work them selves and save money buying in bulk.
Originally, I had posted a poor revie due to issues with installers damaging some walls when the installation guys put in our stair carpet. However, Carpet Mart Manager went above and beyond to solve the problem and outside of some issues with the installers then process was amazing and worth 5 stars. If there is a problem just make sure to get in touch with ACTUAL managers. My first time I spoke with an associate. They stand behind their products.My husband and I bought a fixer upper and needed to replace our sons room and stairs/hall immediately. I called Carpet Mart after not being impressed with Empire and they sent someone out for measurements the very next day! 5 days later we went into the warehouse where Lynn took the time and taught us all about various carpets and paddings! If you are considering between Carpet Mart, Home Depot, or Emire..pick Carpet Mart!! The padding is SO important and they have great selections for the job. Empire doesnt even discuss that with you. The carpet choice is an extremely wide selection and great prices! The store associates are friendly and helpful.

When given the final price on carpet install, we were told that our home measured about 200 square feet more than what we had measured ourselves. This made the cost about $700 more than we planned. After cancelling our order, because our gut told us this was not right, we went to Home Depot. They measured our home at 200 square feet less than what Carpet Mart did, and the cost ended up being much better all around.All in all, Carpet Mart was charging us for 200 square feet of carpet that we did not need. We will never go there again, and will not recommend to anyone.

We dealt with Brian Heim, the Assistant Manager. He was extremely helpful in explaining the types of flooring, which type would work best for us, and the ones within our target price. After we made our choice, he explained the installation process and gave us a detailed explanation of the costs. We will definitely go back for our next flooring project.

This store has everything I was looking for. Great prices, great sales, and the girls in the office are very polite and pleasant. The only problem I’ve had was when I was in the warehouse. There were 2 employees in particular, that were very obnoxious and screaming in Spanish. It made me and my family feel very uncomfortable. I felt as if they were talking about the customers as they came into the store. The rest of the warehouse staff were very polite and helpful. The warehouse was clean and very organized which made the carpet picking process almost painless. The warehouse staff pointed us in the right direction even helped my son pick out a rug for his room. Overall great experience, just felt out of place.

Screwed up order. Did not make any effort to correct. Pretty much told me sorry to bad. Put someone on the phone to tell me who had no responsibility for the screw up.Here we go again. Told me with the supplier change would be ready 2/20-2/21. Contractor got a call it was ready. Went there and waited for product. Waited for a period of time and no one brought it out.. Went in and they said wrong product was ordered. You would think at this point they would make sure it is taken care of. Said they would make it up to contractor on next order. Like he would use them again and how does that help me?
When we first ordered the materials we were told it would be two weeks. I called a week or so in, on a Tuesday, for an update and was informed the flooring was delivered to the store on Friday. The snarky woman was in a rush to get me off the phone, I felt like I had to pry information out of her and she acted as though we knew all of the details and prices for the installers. They were almost an hour late from their window time of showing up Thursday. Half way through the day we noticed they were not really making any progress and they had to read directions for the floor. a few hours later they informed us the flooring was bad and we needed to wait/figure out what to do about new material and Bob would call us.We never heard from him and Began calling at 530.Meanwhile, our floors are completely ripped up and unsafe for a two year old and 12 month old who can barely walk, he stepped on at least two tacks. The doors were all off, even the toilet with exposed sewage. That is so extremely unsafe for these kids and dog and cat. Long story short, your company did not seem in any rush to rectify the issue and even tried to deliver us the same materials again. Who is to say there is not an issue with that wood too if it’s from the same “bundle”? We were never told a direct a answer or when the installers would be back and were living in chaos.We couldn’t even use the kitchen bc everything from the downstairs was in the kitchen. The entire downstairs was receiving new floors except the kitchen.Thursday we all finally agreed we would have to go first thing Friday to pick out new flooring and the installers would come Friday afternoon.We only have one car and Mike had a job interview 9am Friday morning that he missed because of this.Thankfully they let him come in later but you can imagine how bad that looks and the Nuisance of an hour travel to pick out floor, while I was home with two toddlers who have to remain outside.Mikes experience at the warehouse was not pleasant either. He had to fight not to get ripped off and get crappier, not water resistance flooring.The installers never came Friday.The third day came, I Yet again packed snacks, lunch and crafts for the kids to do upstairs to stay out of their way and because it was not safe downstairs.The floor turned out beautiful. They cleaned up. Never really asked us if we were happy with it or to really look around. Mike had to make them unpack some supplies and add a corner round at the bottom Of the stairs since there was like a half inch gap between the floor and bottom Of the wood at the stairs.We noticed a puddle by the toilet that night but didn’t think much of it. The next day it was a giant puddle. We think we fixed it but it definitely leaked to the basement and made a mess in storage boxes.Our brand new gate is busted bc they hit the plastic piece that is bolted to the wall. It needs to be replaced.The stain molding to the kitchen needs to be replaced, it was hit so badly it can’t be repaired. Their are multiple knicks and gashes in the walls and molding and some spots need to be respackled.I am also not sure if the corner rounds but every single end is rough and unpainted. I thought they were supposed to be white and smooth?Then Sunday rolls around and I call to inquire about Monday carpet installation and the nice lady I spoke to seemed surprised we never heard from the installers. This has just been a horrible experience and I feel like we have to constantly nag you and fight for a decent floor that we drained our savings on.A week later two men came and were shocked about the trim throughout the downstairs. That was 5/25. They told us to hire a handyman and a woodworker to fix trim and send them the bill. Two days later I asked for more information because we couldn’t find anyone. We were told someone would call us about the repairs and they would come fix the trim. 6/4 and we still have not heard from anyone, the walls are still busted and the trim looks terrible.

Could not be happier with our experience with Reading Carpet and Tile Mart. Our salesperson, Cody, was so helpful on our initial visit and helped us find a great carpet for our whole house. Each subsequent visit to the store was pleasant and efficient. The installation went off without a hitch and we are thrilled with our new carpet! The best part? Over promised and under delivered. Purchased a piece of rug to bound. I was offered to have the work done while I waited but didnt have the right vehicle to take it home. I was fine with waiting till the next day to pick it up. Arrived the next day after 6 PM only to find the work had not been done. Was told I could have it in about 1 hour and they would call me. Received a call informing me my rug would not be completed as promised and I could pick it up this weekend. Wont be buying here again. Went back on Saturday after 5 PM to find again that my carpet wasnt ready for pick up. I found this out by observing everyone scrambling to get my carpet cut, with no one telling me anything. It was obvious that the ball got dropped again so I told them not to bother and got my money back. I guess I wasnt spending enough money. Unbelievably bad experience.
So grateful to the Reading, PA location for being so generous to teachers last Saturday! The carpet is so soft and enjoyable for my first graders when they are reading and listening to stories and learning!

We have been there twice the first time no issues purchased 2 area rugs. This last time never again the sales man was great however we made an appointment to install our carpet and they didnt showed my husband lost a days pay they came the next day and then told us the screwed up our estimate and charged us an extra 30 dollars!!!!!!! Then once it was installed they scratched the crap out of our walls!!!! EVER AGAIN!!!

The work was done 5/18:/17I also asked for a receipt told it was in the mailNEVER Got it.
I needed a a couple feet of a carpet for a project and found one outside in front. I brought it in the store to purchase and cut. I had some questions about the size and cut. The gentleman who assisted me would not help me and just said you tell me the size and they will cut it I was trying to show him what I the he woulproject tbutis but he would not even look at me. Terrible customer service, not friendly or eager to help. He just passed it off to pay and then someone to cut. Since I didnt get the help I needed I gave him the wrong size and now I have to get another one. They guys who cut though were great and very friendly. I will not be coming back.
We did not have a good experience with our sales men Dutch but management did help so we are good with that and the flooring arrived in good shape.

My rating may change but at this point I am not happy with my visit. Have been price shopping a few other options since my initial visit. Math was done incorrectly which jumped the price up. Also free install does not include steps. And still being charged for disposal. Even though apparently it is free.

So glad we picked Carpet and Tile Mart for our bathroom reno simply because we were lucky to get LYNN - she was amazing! She is incredibly helpful, super knowledgeable and so very friendly. As new home-owners we did not know much/anything about flooring/tilework, and so it was so refreshing to have Lynn guide us through the process. We learned so much from her! We had shopped at many other places, from Floor and Décor in the King of Prussia area to stores in Philly. We even spent considerable time online. But in the end, we decided to buy our tiles at Carpet and Tile Mart only because we had such good customer service/support from Lynn!
I do not want this place to do work for me again. Our kitchen was remodeled, I had them do the flooring in kitchen, the installer nicked two of the cabinet doors. Carpet and Tile Mart told me they would be replaced. I talked to someone in the beginning of January and they told they were going to make payment for new doors, here we are almost in February and haven’t heard anything from them. I wouldn’t hire this place.

My carpet was installed in my home almost 6 months ago. To this day my family is getting staples in their feet. My daughter just had another one get stuck in her foot this morning. Before we know it there wont be any staples left holding the carpet down!Our carpet selection does look great as far as color. Price quote was about 700.00 less than actual job cost when all was said and done. However once they got there, they completed it quickly and they did manage to work with our tight schedule and get out sooner to get it done. They send a third party contractor out to complete the installation job. Which is not a bad thing, but I am curious as to how this will play out - contacting carpet mart about the issue. Am I going to to be spun in different directions for days or weeks... or will the matter be handled immediately. We shall find out!**update to review after additional money and time spent on another material from this store.We went in to purchase tile. The tile signage noted it was IN STOCK! We tell the sales associate what we would like to purchase and he says its not in stock, after we go over calculations and move towards completing the purchase. He then explained its in stock, but in DC....very misleading! They should notate that on their signage for material. Specify its in stock, at a whole other location. So we decided to wait the several days. We were promised the shipment including our material would arrive today between 3pm-5pm and that we would be called immediately as it arrived. Needless to say, no one called. We were driving straight from work - to carpet mart in a rush to pick it up as our contractor was scheduled to get started immediately tonight at 6pm, my husband said you better make sure you call before we get all the way there, nothing seems to go right so far with these guys. Well, I called - what do ya know. The shipment truck did not make it says the lady who answers the phone. What happened to our courtesy call, or any update for that matter? They do hire 3rd party contractors, so this company should be fully aware that time is of the essence during contracted projects. I was happy when we were offered a small discount on the accessories which saved us a few bucks and a few bucks off the material during purchase. But now I know why we are offered in advance, a discount to begin with. To make up for the poor customer service and relations we were going to receive today? Which sadly doesnt make up for the cost of our contractor for being paid for the next 3.5 hours, with no material to work with!We are very disappointed about this. If youre in business, especially sales, you need to be a person of your word. Period.Its a good thing they try to make things right but a customer should not have reoccurring issues, yet alone one. I agree with the previous comments about the customer service. The ladies at the desk dont smile, sound unpleasant and they are not eager to serve their customers. Even their tone of voice on the phone...it sounds like they just want their check and to go home. My tone of voice speaking g to them sounds like I am doing their job. I hear a lot of personal chit chat and employees arguing or bickering back and forth in front of customers, like their job is a game. Maybe that is why things arent being done right. Maybe they need a new store manager or the current one needs to get the current customer service team in shape.*update 4/18- After speaking with corporate and after recognition of this review, carpe mart contacted me and apologize and assured me they will be doing their best from here on out. The store manager will be delivering our tiles today himself. That was a kind gesture. The contractor for the carpet issue was at our home this morning. The contractor himself is great. When he first installed he was very personable and on time. Corporate GM also said he would like to personally take care of us during our next visit and purchase. He provided me with his contact information. Thank you for that!*update- tile delivered. Better late than never.
