Great selection of wine, cheese, cured meats. Service is great and very welcoming. I always walk out with more than planned because there are soooo many goodies.

When you want to spoil yourself and have something more rich and robust in flavor and aroma, that’s when you come here. A variety of small culinary collections from beer to wine, from cheeses to pastas, from Italian coffees to ice creams... and so on can be found in this boutique. You will spend a few extra bucks but you will get very delectable and unforgettable food. Great selection, great staff and a heck of a selection!

Lovely local shop with great variety of wines and good prices. Nice stop for a lunch sandwich as well. We opted to sign up for their monthly wine club as well (3 bottles for $30/month) - so more to come on that but already seems like a great deal based on looking at the wines they have in the shop.

I work within walking distance of this place and its in my top 2 favorites. They dont have a huge selection of sandwiches but what they do have seem to have been carefully crafted and perfected, as well as uniquely tasting. Two of my favorites include the Cuban and the Smoking Goat. Staff is super friendly. Its a quaint store, offering an eclectic selection of kitchen gadgets, sauces, cheeses, craft beer (mix and match!), wines, fancy crackers, etc. They even have a wine club. The staff is always pleasant. This is the kind of store youd expect to find in a quaint Vermont center, such as Woodstock.

Good beer selection and I love being able to make a mixed pack to try stuff that looks interesting but I dont want to commit to a 4/6. Great sandwiches and deli selection, and every kitchen gadget you could ever need. Cute store, youre sure to find something that you like

A fantastic liquor and unique food shop. From fine wines to unusual liquor products this store has it all. The staff is very knolegeable and willing to aid in your choices. This is a place worth traveling to and well worth visiting over and over.

Fun merchandise and food. (I cannot comment on the wine, as I still havent sampled it.) The prices are high, but the food and housewares are a wall-to-wall collection of very carefully curated (bravo!) novelty products. I deducted 1/2 star because of the prices (in my opinion a bit too high even for a novelty shop) and 1/2 star because - maybe its just me! - I have found the staff to be helpful and polite but aloof. Some customers may appreciate not being proactively addressed by the staff, but the first several times I walked in I felt like I was on Newbury Street in Boston, not Haven Street in Reading. But neither of these observations has kept me away. Im willing to pay a bit more if this helps to to keep a cool brick-and-mortar store open in Reading. And lately the store seems to have a more gregarious atmosphere.

Mix and match your six-pack! I appreciate being able to buy one or two different beers without having to buy the whole six-pack. How will I know if I like it? Plus, they have a nice variety of craft brews that changes and updates often. And how can I not comment on the occasional tastings they host? Beer, whiskey, wine tastings with yummy food samples.

Nice selection of hard to find beer and wine. I love that you can buy single beers for a mix and match six pack. Great selection of kitchen knick knacks and the staff is very helpful. I want to try their sandwiches and coffee next time.

Pamplemousee is my go to treat me store. All you need in one spot- and their monthly wine club is the best!

We ordered cheese and charcruterie platters from Pamplemousse for a farm-to-table open house at our event venue (Barn at Bradstreet Farm). Diane put together beautiful platters for us, all local cheeses, artisnal crackers, local fruit and vegetables, and their homemade dips. Pamplemousse food was the absolute hit of our party. There was barely a cracker left at the end of the event. You cant go wrong with Pamplemousse catering!

I just attended a wine and cheese event at Pamplemousse Reading with some friends. One of whom has a nut allergy, so he is careful to read all signs for allergy warnings. He tasted a spread that he enjoyed and went to the cooler case to purchase some. The spread had pistachios in it. The sample was labeled incorrectly. We thought maybe the sample that was out had no nuts, so we asked a staff member. No one knew if it had nuts or not. He went to speak with a manager and got brushed off because they were too busy. He tried speaking to another who didnt think it was a big deal. We then just got in line so we could pay and leave. The manager ringing him out literally yelled at him stating well, you didnt die.... I was off to the side and this point and the other manager did not realize I was with them and began grumbling about difficult customers. I called her out on that and told her that nut allergies can be really serious. Her response? I have insurance. I am APPALLED at their blase attitude. Their pitiful customer service and reckless business practices are absurd. I will never return.
