Nothing’s New is a consignment shop located at 11 Funston Avenue, Reading, PA 19607. I can’t remember how I heard of this establishment...I can’t remember when I started going there, but I have to tell you, going to Nothing’s New is pure fun for me. Every time I come in that door I am greeted with big smiles and a “Hi, how are you doing?”This consignment shop is run by two sisters. Nothing’s New consists of two buildings...an old house in which the lowest level consists of household items...books, pictures to hang on your wall, some furniture, beautiful pottery and seasonal decorations. That is only scraping the surface. I would fill this page if I described everything that you could find on the household floor. There was a time when someone no longer wanted their Longaberger baskets. Another time there was a whole collection of Willow Tree figurines in original boxes. At this time Valentines Day is being featured. EVERYTHING is in perfect condition. The merchandise would not be accepted if anything had flaws.After I have gone over everything in the household floor with a fine tooth comb and always having found at least one “treasure”, I go to the upper floor where I am greeted with smiles and a “Hello!”. I get busy. I start by looking over the jewelry counter. If I find something I like, I put it at the end of the counter just in case I find something I would like more than the jewelry. (I always have a limit as to what I am willing to spend that day.). I go next to the purse section. I think my all time best find was a brand new honey-colored Wilson leather handbag. It is a good size, the detailing is beautiful and it cost $10.00!!!. I purchased that a couple of years ago and use it everyday.As on the household floor, everything on the clothing/jewelry/purse/shoes etc. floor is in perfect condition. I have found that all brands of clothing can run differently in size so I look through small, medium and large, you never know... As the seasons are soon changing, some of the items have been reduced in price. (On both floors). You also may find brand new articles, tags attached. The labels are impressive...New York and Company, Ralph Lauren, The Limited, christopher & banks, J.Jill, Michael Kors, Simply Vera, and Talbots, to name a few. There are several dressing rooms.On both floors the merchandise is displayed as you would see in a department store. The only difference is the PRICE!Across the street is a warehouse that sells children’s clothing and some toys. I rarely have the need to go in there but it is rack after rack of clothing starting at newborn and on up. I remember when my children were little, they never wore out their clothing...they outgrew them. Once again, the clothing is in perfect condition...no stains, no tears, just great prices.I have a home in Wyomissing and an old farmhouse near Montoursville. I am definitely a regular customer. If you have no objection to “consignment”, I guarantee you will have a fun, rewarding time finding “treasures” at Nothing’s New. This is definitely a 5-star review❤️.

Horrible experience!! After consigning here for many years(although its been awhile) I brought my best stuff & the owner rejected every item! I informed her over the phone that I had over twenty pairs of jeans, she suggested to bring half and save the other half for January. Citizens of Humanity, Levis, 7 for all Mankind & Banana Rep. to name a few for the jean lot. Some of the shoes were Ugg booties(like new), Frye & Lucky Brand. Clothing: Banana Rep, Dana Buchman, Lucky Brand, & Max Studio. My stuff is in excellent condition and still current as far as w/in the guidelines. It just completely baffles me, the treatment I recieved, especially in light of observing the mediocre brands that were currently for sale in her shop. There were some nice brands but nothing amazing. I was offering a consistent collection of popular, desirable brands. I am left only to imagine that this was a personal rejection. We had a brief dialog prior to my departure up stairs to browse while the owner checked out my items. We discovered that we attended the same church at one time and generally small talk was exchanged. I really for the life of me cant imagine the general disregard for my effort, enthusiasm & more importantly, my time to sort thru & deliver my stuff just to have her reject everything! Her only comment, explanation was, jeans arent really moving .... Hmmm? than why did you suggest me bring half my inventory of them?! As far as the rest of the items, she simply said, she couldnt use them? I may never have an answer but going forward, I will never consign with the likes of this person again & I am very saddened to have been treated with such lack of empathy for all things mentioned above. Perhaps its time for her to switch churches as well...not sure shes getting much out of her current one!!

Great little consign-clothes and toys for babies and kids, women, and items for the home. I consigned items there once so far, but it was a fine experience. They only choose high-quality, in style, in season clothes, but it is worth their choosiness when you shop there!

Name brand, good quality clothing for babies through adult plus size. Found Christmas dinner ware and other housewares, great prices!

Very Rude, horrible service. My mother in law goes to this place all the time and buys stuff, I went to see what they had when I was pregnant with my daughter, when I got there I needed to use the restroom, they flat out told me NO even though you could see i was far along in my pregnancy, they told me to go up the street to the gas station. I could not believe that a place that sells baby/childs items would not have a bathroom for patrons to use? Needless to say I never bought anything, I left and never went back, and tell EVERYONE not to shop there. Bad customer service.

The service here was awful! The woman yelled at my aunt for asking for a small discount on a purse that had spots of mold on it. Also one person that was with our group needed to use a restroom and it was an emergency and she refused to let us use her restroom and sent us to friendlya down the street. Terrible!!!!
