I wanted to replace my front lock and I wanted to see about replacing the old lock on my back door as well. Ted Hall and Denise were so helpful and responsive. They recommended doing maintenance on the lock on the front and replacing the back lock with that and then add a new lock to the front. It worked out so well. Both locks work great. The install and service was top notch. The tech who did the work was great. Highly recommend!

Lost my keys on beach walking my dog house key and a car key . went to local big box store and was after they inserted key into their computer they could not make a key anything from 2016 can be made but not prior. Got in touch with car dealership who did not return my call. Contacted Ted Halls locksmith. I had a key with fob but wanted a spare. Went down to Halls locksmith he put the fob key into the computer said i could get a key with the fob which would unlock the door and ignition but since my ignition had no chip i could get fob less key which unlock both door and start car for under 10 dollars . being an Irishman of simple and frugal means I said give me 2 keys. His service was always good, used them for years. One of the fobs he sold in the past was fixed a couple times but eventually it had to be replaced, no problem. Last week I brought the broken fob to the shop. He could not fix that, so I had to buy a new one, almost $100 with programming. Done well and fast but the fob stopped working when I was back home. Went to the shop the next day and this I was deeply disappointed. His response was at the edge of verbal attack falsely accusing me of bringing different one to fix. The whole arrogance show was performed in the front of my wife who knew well which one was fixed, as that was actually the fob from her car, so she was simply speechless. I don’t know if the owner has any problems but that was very unprofessional to say the least. Never again.

I had such a great experience using Ted Hall Locksmith. They sent over one of their workers, Tom B if I remember correctly, and he was great. Not only did he fix what I needed repaired with ease, quickly, and they look as good as knew. But he was also very personable and we ended up chatting almost the entire time he was working - fully masked and distant of course. This is how a business is supposed to be run... professional yet personable, and clearly experts as what they do. Having moved into a new home in Old Bridge township I wanted to get all of my locks changed, and have him assess one lock that I wasnt sure was the best quality. Ironically, the locks that I thought were fine had deadbolts that werent operating at their highest due to having been installed unprofessionally. They were re-worked and adjusted then re-keyed. The lock that I was unsure about was assessed and I was told that it was actually high quality and very secure... he could easily have attempted to sell me a new complete lock, but he didnt. The entire experience was excellent. I highly recommend them.

Very seldom do I find service like this. I was interested in a new key, and possibly remote for my old 2000 Range Rover. Before I visited, I called to inquire whether this was feasible. Tom went out of his way to research my vehicle, and confirm some of my suspicions. I decided not to purchase the remote and simply get a duplicate key. Tom and his staff were very personable and straightforward, and had a new key cut and tested in five minutes. An incredible experience above all expectations! I thought I had a key problem with my car. From the moment I called I was surprised by the friendly tone and attitude. These guys really know their stuff. Went there with 2 separate needs, each of which required a unique approach, and Tom was able to finagle solutions each time. In one of the situations, I had a passenger airbag lock in my 20-year old vehicle that literally had never been used once, and my original 20 year old key actually would not turn it, due to its wear. Tom was able to remove my lock, open it up on his bench, and wear it down, essentially emulating an older lock that would cooperate with my existing key. Saved me money. Hes sharp.

I have used Ted Hall several times for my business. Recently our lock on our front door of our home broke. I told my husband to email Ted with pictures of the lock. Ted responded that the lock we have has had problems and the manufacturer would probably send us the parts for free. Ted gave us the phone number to call, the parts numbers and told my husband what to say when he called. Well, we called the manufacturer, they sent us the parts for free and my husband fixed the door. Ted could have ripped us off, but he clearly cares about taking care of people and he has tremendous integrity and honesty. This is the only locksmith we will call when we need one. Called Ted Hall to get a key made for a new car we just purchased. The person on the phone gave me all the info I needed to get the code we needed from the dealer, which was important.I then went to the shop where the made and programed the key and also gave us a vale key at no charge. These guys are good, use them.

This past Saturday we broke a key off in the Tabernacle in Church. A call to them an taking the Tabernacle to them, they had the broken key out within 5 minutes and was able to cut 4 more keys to replace the broken one.What a great company to deal with and how amazingly they took everything and made.it right, thus allowing us to utilize this Tabernacle until the older one is refinished.Thank God for craftsmen like them who know their respective trade.Thanks again.

Needed spare keys for my 2008 Toyota Yaris. A Toyota dealership employee insisted that only Toyota could provide such a key because it included a chip that only they could program, and that it would also have to include the remote-control electronics (power locks, etc.), making my cost ~$310. Since Im generally wary of dealer claims of exclusivity, I contacted Ted, who was able to create (1) a basic duplicate key (lock/unlock doors manually, start the engine---without a chip) for $4, and (2) a fully functional remote-control key for $120---all in ~30-45 minutes (primarily to program the remote). Very pleased---I will be back!

We will never hire this company or refer the. To anyone ever. They were paid to open a safe that was left at our house. When they arrived they explained to me that they were given permission to keep the safe. I now find out it is not true. This company lied to us, acted very immaturely, and in the end refused to cooperate and do the job they were paid to do. It is very sad that companies lie and try to manipulate to gain the extra dollar.

Ted Hall Locksmiths did a fantastic job re-keying two door handles to an old Volkswagen I am restoring. With their help I now (finally) have one key which operates both my doors and the ignition. They did a great job with the work, and the door locks now operate even more-smoothly than when I dropped them off. The work was done in a timely manner, at a fair price. One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company. they installed a new lock which subsequently broke months later, they blames us for breaking it so I paid them again to reinstall a new lock. four weeks later when this lock was broken I called them and they instantly blamed us again and made a million excuses why it had to be our fault, all without even coming to look at the lock. I decided to pay full price to have a new lock installed with a new company just so I would not have to deal with Ted Smith Locksmith again. They are rude and have no idea what customer service is about. buyer beware.
