As soon as I walked in, a worker asked me what I was looking for and pointed me in the right direction. Upon checkout, the cashier noticed my hat and asked if I was a veteran so they could add a discount. Great staff!

The store has false sale signs on all racks. Poor advertising and store management. Sign said 5.99 shirts on rack. Cashier indicates it was only 6 shirts on rack and nothing else. When I suggested better sign placement she was rude and talked under her breath.

I went in to find an item listed online as in stock in the store. Dead inside, as usual, with 3-4 employees leaning on displays and talking to each other. No greeting, and no one asked if I needed assistance. Walked around looking for item to no avail. Approached two employees chatting and asked if they could help. I asked about the item, and one employee just said, “Yeah, umm I don’t think we have those” and the other agreed. I said the item showed in stock online and all they said is well we get our shipments Wednesday. What does that have to do with incorrect stocking? I asked where they normally were stocked and the employee lazily waved a hand toward firearms and said over there. No offer to check or show me the spot if I wanted to come back. Horrible experience and truly awful employees of a floundering company.

Decent prices for their products. You get what you pay for. They decent sales and discounts.

Ive always liked this store -- HOWEVER, I went in there yesterday with my boys so they could use gift cards they got for Christmas. My oldest son went over his gift card amount so he used his cash to pay the extra. The clerk took it out of his cash first & the gift card second (leaving a balance on the gift card). I asked her to please fix it but she didnt know how. She called a different person to help, the new clerk was so irritated that we wanted to change it, she was never friendly & actually acted mad the entire time being short with me & rude. What surprised me most is she also did it in front of the manager & he didnt apologize or say one thing to her when she pretty much hushed me while she explained to him what was happening. I dont remember ever being treated like this in our Big 5 store. Im pretty disappointed, I was going to let it go but I just couldnt. ;(

Was able to get some new hikers...was able to get the best price. The guy helping us (forget his name) told us to come when the shoes we wanted were on sale. Saved us a pile of cash.

Needed an inexpensive pair of shoes, Big 5 came through for me at half off list price. Helpful salespeople and we all wore face masks. Next time I need to go to Big 5, Ill go to Redmond because they are helpful and not very far away.

Looking for good quality sports gear at a great price? Look no further! Big 5 has a great selection of sports gear, workout gear, and casual items as well.Found little soccer cleats for little feet, along with shin guards and goalie gloves all for $40! She is so excited and set for the new season!The store was nice and tidy, the staff was pleasant and accommodating, the service was prompt and professional.Big 5s prices are a little deceptive though. The soccer cleats had two different prices on the box, I didnt know which shin guards where on sale based on the ad above the display and the gloves had a sale price posted right on them but we were still charged full price. Watch the receipt after your purchase and make sure you are charged correctly for the prices they are advertising! There is not a register screen that you can see the items being rung up.
