My favorite beer store of all time! So many beers and not just the usual suspects, they get new beers to try all the time and not just from their amazing tap. Wes and his staff do a fantastic job and any beer lover would be smart to stop by an enjoy a pint while looking at all the amazing bottled and canned beer they have in stock. I absolutely love this place and recommend it!

How many places in LA carry Firestone anniversary and Avery Mephistopheles? The beer line up is phenom! However, very limited food and pricing on bottles is a bit pricey. Still one of the top choices if you just want elites grog!

Always a fan of dropping in at Select. Wes has a great variety of beers and always at least a decent tap list.Parking can be pretty hard to find.Always scope out the fridge for some tasty singles and some delicious sours towards the back.

Beer selection is aite. Nephew who is under age was asked to wait out back. Not even allowed in the patio area. California law.

Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and can help you pick out a mixed six to go or something to tide you over while your SO looks at every... single... beer... Events almost every week, so check their calendar!Parking in their tiny lot isnt terrible, and the street opens up around the corner.

Good beer selection although the draft beer menu is typically loaded with hoppy beers. Not bad if you want several super hopped beers. Bad though if you looking to try several different styles that arent hopped. The bottle section is very good. Again, a ton of hopped beers but many different styles. You can bring in food (at least I have seen others do it) and yes there are board games. If youre looking to just run in to buy a six pack with a young one and head home... Dont. No minors allowed since they serve draft... even if its just to buy a 6pack and leave. I was told so with my 1 y.o. daughter sleeping in her car seat looking to buy a good brown ale (which are in limited stock here anyway).

The only place that sells Ground Breaker gluten free beer. That alone earns them 5 stars! If you have Celiac, this is the best beer you can drink. If you dont, its still a damned solid beer

Wes runs a great shop. Small, exclusive rotating selection of taps. Often things you will not find in most bars. The selection of bottled beer is the best in South Bay.Tip: Buy a beer and pay for the corkage fee for a reasonably priced drink of amazing beers.

If you think you dont like beer, someone here can probably still find a beer you will love. Staff here arent just knowledgeable about beer, theyre knowledgeable about what people like about different beers. I always find the beer in looking for here.

This place has an awesome selection of beers on tap. These beers change as seasonal and new beers become available. For each beer there are new artist drawn signs posted above the taps. There is no kitchen, but you can bring your own food in (Ive brought in food from Riviera Mexican and Pedones Pizza). There is a surprisingly wide selection of cold beer and beer on shelves to bring home.

Great tap room thats always filled with good people and the best craft beer from local breweries on draft. They keep a good mix of beer styles on their 18 taps so everyone can find something they like or try something new. The owner and his crew all have a passion for beer so a good recommendation isnt hard to find for even the pickiest of drinkers. Doesnt stop there though, add a few hundred more bottles you can purchase from the coolers and drink in the store or take togo. You can sit at the bar and chat, find a table and play cards, or bring some food in and make meal out of it. This place has a real community feel to it. No tvs or loud music. Just beer and people, the way a good bar should be. Theres frequent events on the weekends featuring individual breweries, often with games to be played. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

Owner needs to teach customer service to their bartender. This Sunday we drove here all the way from southern OC to buy beer for an upcoming party. I read reviews how amazing the beer selection was. I parked my car and grabbed my 1 & 1/2 year old in my arms and walked into the store towards the coolers not the tables mind you and was immediately rushed up to by the heavy blond female bartender with the mean face who doesnt even say hello and just says sorry, nobody under 21 allowed. I immediately asked if it was ok if I bought beer to go in which se said yes and walked away. Sounds like someone wasnt made for the service industry...I ended up buying a 6 pack for me and will head somewhere else for the beer for the party. It will be my last time coming here. If I want overweight mean bartenders I can go to a dive bar and save a the money.Look, I get that kids and babies arent allowed in a bar but maybe you should wait to see if someone kis buying beer to go first and try to learn some customer service.

Select Beer StoreIf you’re ever in S. Redondo Beach, CA, you have to stop by Select Beer Store. It’s one of the best bottle shops & tap rooms that we’ve ever been in. The selection was fantastic – both from the 16 taps and the massive walls of bottles, both chilled and room temperature. The atmosphere was like the record store that John Cusack owned in the movie - High Fidelity. Wes is the owner and the John Cusack character, Jack Black’s character was one of the regular customers – Rusty and well, you just have to check it out.After a great draft triple Belgian, we had a bourbon barrel Quad from Boulevard Brewing and it was just too hard to choose what to have next, but we managed to buy 2 bottles of Firestone Stickee Monkee, a barrel aged, central coast quad. We’ll need a special occasion to open one of those!Stop in and see Wes and the gang because Select Beer Store is amazing!
