Clean, well lit and organized store. They have a large range of crafting supplies; though they have a very limited selection for sewing... They do sell 1 yard long prepackaged pieces of cloth. Wood burning, cake baking, cloth dyeing...picture framing!

In the past month, Ive ordered online with curbside pick up, ship to home, and walk in shopping.Curbside pick up: first time worked great. I ordered a cutting mat and rotary cutters. The next day, I received a text saying order is ready for pick up. Fast :) parked in designated curbside pick up, easy instructions to let them know I was there, customer service came out with my order and placed in my trunk.So easy, I placed another order, but this time no response when I went to pick it up. Got tired of waiting and I went in instead. Long line. Not pleasant.Ordering ship to home is fine, but you have to spend more to qualify for free shipping. Shipping is fast though.Third time, decided to go in. The store was well stocked, clean and smelled of candles. I liked it. The only thing was I had to hunt down an employee because the crystals I wanted to purchase were locked up. The line was long, only one cashier, but she did her best to keep things moving. They need more help; hence, the pic of their sign and a 4 star review.

I like them for what they are: a descent crafts store. The custom framing is very cost effective. I wouldnt take great art there. I have used them for stuff Ive bought during my travels, and the staff is very helpful.Today I needed a frame for a small painting of my moms that had been knocked off a wall. It was of the 7 house in Amsterdam, and the matting and foam backing wasnt quite the right dimensions for the stock frame Id chosen. They trimmed the foam backing for free, about a 1/16 of an inch.Great service and the frame was 50% off to boot! 👍

Long line was abnormal. Didnt have party hats for some reason. Easy enough to make though with a multitude of paper options.One lady on staff was a bit rude when asked if they have party hats haha I guess I should have known they dont have them!?

The manager Miriam and employee Daisy felt they could be rude and disrespectful to customers and treat customers as if they were stealing. When confronted Ms. Daisy felt she could kick the customer out of the store and make threats to call the police. These 2 women are in the wrong line of business and need to look for employment in a field that does not require customer interaction... HOBBY LOBBY IS NOW OPEN AND I AM NOW TAKING MY BUSINESS TO THEM FROM NOW ON....Michaels us over priced and over rated. HOBBY LOBBY has 50x more stuff and well worth going to from now on !!

Customer service was good, but this Michaels is kind of small and it kind of had a strange layout. I was looking for a candle warmer and they didnt have it but I found it at the Colma store.

Super friendly and helpful staff at the Woodside CA store

Cashier was rude, no greeting, no eye contact, didn’t ask if I was a member and tossed my receipt on counter after handing her my cash. Her demeanor was polar opposite with previous customers. I don’t like being treated poorly based on my looks. I am a good spirited person and I believe I should be treated equal to other paying customers. I shop here weekly and this experience makes me reconsider shopping here.

Looking for paint by number sets, guess what ..the sales rep says they have none, only canvas and paints sold separately. What !! No craft kits for gifts? I looked for other easy craft gift sets, rock n glue pictures, make a pot holder set.. would you belive nothing even close at the Redwood city store. I mean what the heck is going on. So very disappointed !!!

Im not a regular Michaels shopper, but I needed acrylic paint for a small project. The staff helped me right away even though it was rather busy. I quickly found what I needed and was at the end of a long line. I only had two small tubes of paint and was instantly perturbed! But not to worry, the line fairly zipped along and I found myself in front of a cashier who signed me up for a store membership and I was outta there quicker than I thought I would be.

They sell Meringue in this store and sewing machines. These were items I was glad to find. Their sticker and coloring utensils are awesome. Not a lot of fabrics. They have more stuff for crafting and artwork.

Do not go to this Michaels for custom framing. The lady so very rude, the price is way too high, they won’t tell you if you choose a premium frame, they won’t call you when it’s complete, and the quality is below expectation.Terrible experience!

I have to say I go to Michaels quite a bit. Ive been a customer of theirs for at least 30 years. They made some changes recently and Im not real happy about it. They step you get there that you really like and you go back to get it and its super hard to get again. Bead section used to be awesome and now actually Im pretty disappointed. They have a lot of their brand stuffed and off-brand stuff that would be nice if they had more sterling silver products I wish they bring their beans back to the way it was there about half is what they used to have. However I do by a lot of other art stuff there and I and the staff is amazing. So definitely go there theyre super sweet I just wish Im not much for change

An average arts and crafts store good for most of what you need just find a micheals coupon and go to the store. But first get associate or itll to take you some time to find or if your into that type of stuff go on and browse.

Manager guy was awesome helping out with picking up online bead purchases and bead/string returns. Didnt wait at framing counter more than a minute before being helped and I had several orders including one I placed just prior to showing up. Had lost my cane last week and he knew right where it was. Amazing service, cashier was awesome to for ringing up final store purchases.

Michaels has loads of crafting supplies and their framing department is top notch but they dont have enough registers open and depending on when you shop you can spend a lot of time in line. I have left without purchasing anything because the line was way too long. Also, they could spend some times making sure their rest room is clean. Ive see gas station restrooms cleaner and better stocked.

I am very disappointed in my experience here. I go to this Michaels all the time. I brought a painting in to have it framed and the gentleman who assisted me was very nice, but the painting wasn’t completed by the stated date on the receipt and not once did anyone call me to update me on the status. I called several times and only after it was two weeks past the date they said it would be done, did they tell me it was done when I called. However, I do believe it would have sat there for a long time had I not called to see if it were done, since no one called me.

I do not recommend getting any framing done at this store. They DO NOT PROTECT YOUR valuables being framed. I left a valuable photo (Dorthea Lange, Migrant Mother) from the mid 1930s with provenance from that period consisting of three handwritten pieces by Dorthea Lange to a photographer friend of hers who admired the photo. Full page hand written and signed and store has NO IDEA what happened to it and did not seem to care and only wanted me to leave the store so no other customers could hear me talking about the negligence of the Michaels store.After all of this the framing tech claimed no responsibility and all were hostile to me the victim of their negligence as they did not provide ordinary care for the valuables left with them

This location, and probably all the others since Aaron Brothers is gone, is undergoing renovation. The store overall is great, however the layout and placement of aisle compared to poles and stanchions needs to be re-thought. Some places are much to small to push a cart through or a baby stroller.The staff is ok with some being more helpful than others, but I am always able to get what I need here. Sign up for the emails and rewards as they ALWAYS have some sort of coupon.

Since they reorganized the store, its nice if a bit difficult to navigate - but thats only because I was used to it organized the old way. When you catch a sale, therere really great deals. Large selection of most crafty supplies. However, its a pretty general selection - for instance, if youre really into jewelry making, youd have to go elsewhere for the specialized findings.

Overall, a large, clean, and well maintained Michaels store, and reasonably laid out. It would be nice if they had a larger selection of hanging display cases (to showcase pins, for example), and perhaps a nice, detailed map to quickly find things (but thats what the staff is for). In the end, we found all of the miscellaneous parts we needed, and the cashier was especially friendly.

I had a bad experience, the lady at the pictures frames desk so rude I asked if I can ask her a question? I was looking for some photo frames stickers and she make me wait until she finished an order just to tell me I THINK THEY ARE AT THAT AILE :( after waiting for her ;( and the worst I went on my lunch time thinking this is going to be a quick thing.

Great place for arts and crafts supplies plus decorations. Prices can be high when not on sale, but there are a lot of sales and coupons to make up for it. There are also great kids workshops for free on Saturdays.

Oh my God you want me to tell you what I think about across the store while crafting is one of my favorite things to do I could literally go broke walking into a craft store and Michaels is the absolute poop absolutely amazing they have everything that you could ever want for any type of crafting you could possibly imagine

Solid Michaels store with a large variety of items. You can usually find what you need. Occasionally, they may get out of stock of an item but its usually not an issue. This location has great sales and you can almost always get some sort of discount on your items.

There is not a whole lot of staff that work at this location so its a little hard to get help here. Otherwise the store is big and is stocked well most of the time

The employees are Pleasant they have everything you need there and I just enjoy going back like being a kid in a candy store.

I like that this store is clean and streamlined. I do wish they had a better selection of acrylic paints. Also strangely enough their paint prices are more than my local independent store. Youd think a chain store would be competitive with their prices.

I was able to find the needles and embroidery thread quickly. The cashier was very nice and friendly and pleasant.

I gave it 4 stars because I went inside knowing what I wanted, got it, went to the counter to buy it and the price was off by a few bucks. The guy working at the counter (forgot his name but he is cool and wore a black shirt) fixed it for me after I showed him and I was out of there after we spoke about the weather.Now about the store, the whole place is cluttered and I didnt see any employees on the floor. (I wasnt looking for one, so take that part of my review with a grain of salt.) I knew what I wanted though and where to find it so I didnt need help, but I can see how that could be a problem.All in all, I would recommend this place.

Worst shopping experience ever,I love the selection of stuff for crafting but I would have ever thought Id ever be saying this in modern times 2017😢. Jim Crow laws being reenacted here in the lines certian folks only, others get a dead end and wait behind 3 other parties in line, with no repercussions for bigoted employee (discrimination against interracial couples).
