I called the day before my scheduled appointment to come and get my rear windshield replaced. They confirmed my appointment. the next morning. So I go there next day and they say the part is not there; that they rescheduled my appt for 10/7. Why didnt they have the courtesy to call me and tell me this the day before? I belatedly checked my text and they did send me a notice around 5:30 pm, but who always checks their text messages? They should have given me a voice call to ensure I received the message. I guess they are too important/busy to be even slightly considerate. I will go with someone else. Screw them.

Super helpful location. They didnt have the part available and gave me a heads up that some part availability could be a week or more. They freely offered a temporary fix, some additional tape if it came undone, and some pointers to make sure the process went as smoothly as possible since Im on a 1000 mile road trip under a time crunch. Lastly, they gave a recommendation to a restaurant on the way out of town. Very busy location, parking was cramped but I attribute that to current events.

I was able to book an appointment for the next day and I received very professional service. I was there for a short amount of time and the glass was replaced quickly and very well. They worked directly with my insurance, I only payed the deductible and they charged the insurance directly for the rest. Also the man replacing the glass was super friendly. He even vacuumed the inside of the car to ensure no broken glass was left behind. Thank you!

I’ve guess I’ve been lucky for so many years to never have had a chipped windshield, but it finally happened and I knew nothing about the process. So, WITHOUT an appointment, I stopped into their shop which was SUPER BUSY. Bryan (one of their tech’s) was kind enough to take the time to explain windshield repair vs. windshield replacement and how it’s impacted by your insurance. Additionally, if you drive a newer hi-tech vehicle, you have to be especially sure that after replacement, that all camera/radar indications are totally ACCURATE…very important!! So thanks to their awesome employee Bryan, in just a few minutes of chatting with him, I learned a lot. Armed with so much new information, I decided to hang in without a repair unless & until the chip worsened. When that time comes, this is where I’ll bring my business. If Bryan is indicative of the type of employee that they hire, I completely understand why Safelite is the industry leader in windshield repair & replacement.

Despite being short handed my last visit was as usual completed with excellent efficiency and quality! I highly recommend their work!

They spent over 10 hours with my car trying to calibrate my camera system and were not able to perform the mentioned calibration.They called me stating that my car would be ready in 45mins, I arrived to their location an hour after they called me, I waited for 3 more hours and at the end they gave me back my car full of error lights in my dashboard because they tried to calibrate the cameras but they ended up messing it up.I had to take my vehicle to the dealer for them to fix all the screw-ups that Safelite did with my vehicle....Really bad experience

Im trying to be rational here and be reasonable but after going to Safelite for the third or fourth time and waiting over a month and my windshield still hasnt been replaced?Its weird because most of the staff are okay but they need to communicate better.Ive showed up only to find out that the parts they needed to replace my windshield werent in yet. Or some issue with the dealership not wanting to send them the oem windshield.Imagine taking time off from work, school, or having to alter your schedule to make this appointment only to show up and find out they have no intention of fixing your windshield. Literally, a simple phone call from them to tell me Hey sorry, we dont have the parts in, would you like to reschedule is all thats needed to make this not so frustrating.If you have no other choice and have to pick this place, just make sure you call them to verify the install is good to go ahead of time since they wont bother calling you.I get that these things happen but a phone call would have been nice rather than me showing up only to be turned away.Im not even mad anymore, just disappointed.Im also changing my review from a 2 to a 1 since the Owners response is rather weak. I dont want an apology, I need you to do something and correct this, be more proactive, not for me, but the next customer so they dont have to go through the same hassle that I did. Do better.Update: I ended up going to the Safelite in South San Francisco and it went much better.

These folks are great. Unfortunately when you have to come here, the circumstances aren’t. If you have to wait for your appointment they can accommodate you by vacuuming out broken glass and crash wrapping the broken windows. The waiting area serves coffee while you wait. The staff is very nice, accommodating, and even empathetic to why you are there.

Very friendly and professional service here. I came in to repair a chip on my windshield. The repair process was explained to me as well as the possible results. Knowing the risks, I decided to go ahead with the repair. Im glad I did because the quality of the work was amazing. The chip is gone and the fix is barely noticeable.

I got a crack on my windshield and had to replace it. Safelite was recommended to me by my insurance. The whole process was straightforward. I had to set up an appointment for one of their mechanics to come to my office and replace the windshield. The mechanic was on time and finished the task in around an hour. The service was very useful since I did not have to go to a repair shop and fix it. The money change was also fair.

Great staff, especially Rachel and Kyle. Kyle did a great job replacing my windshield. Highly recommend driving all the way to this location from Santa Clara instead of going to the one on Stevens Creek.

Esurance referred me to Safelite (very forcefully) and I had horrible experience: needed three appointments without anything getting fixed, inconsistent and unreasonably high quotes, bad communication, etc. Basically this company feels like an institutionalized scam to milk consumers for every penny at a time when theyre vulnerable... The only upside is that the staff at this location was friendly and understanding.I STRONGLY suggest you shop around and get independent quotes for anything that youll be paying out of pocket. They tried to charge me 1400 for a 900 job, and insurance would only cover part of that because they only cover after market glass. Two other local shops beat the lower Safelite quote for aftermarket glass with the OEM glass.Esurance is colluding with these guys too. Unlike a normal claim where they let you pick your shop, I had to insist with the insurance company to go elsewhere and they actually referred me back to Safelite to approve that... And they said we have to pay out of pocket and get reimbursed later.Theyre just trying every trick to get you to accept an inferior repair at exorbitant price from their partner vendor. Amazed this is legal in California.

I had my windshield repaired in December by Safelite AutoGlass in Redwood City. Just three weeks ago I was driving, and all of a sudden about three cups of water came rushing into my car through the seal at the top of my windshield, and went straight into my vents. My keys stopped working once the water got into my car, and there is potential for a lot more damage. The windshield had been improperly installed and not sealed correctly. When I returned to Safelite to have them repair it, I was told it would take 2 hours. However my car ended up being there for 2 days. When I came to pick it up, my car was sitting outside in the parking lot, unlocked, with the windows all down, with no one watching it. Part of having them fix my windshield leak was assessing the internal water damage, which they refused to do, even though I would not have internal water damage if they properly installed my windshield. They also were not able to give me a receipt for any of the work they did. They told me that a mechanic looked into my car and assessed the water damage, but were not able to provide me with a receipt of the inspection, or that it actually happened. After much discussion I was told that I should tell my insurance company that Safelite refused to look at the internal water damage.I do not recommend going to this location. Perhaps others are better, but I have had an awful experience.

Having your car broken into is a pretty horrible experience, but Safelite helps ease the pain and annoyance of getting a new window.One thing I did not know is the Crash Wrap service Safelite offers. As soon as you have your appointment boooked with Safelite, you can go to their physical location, and they will vacuum the glass from your car and wrap/cover the window with a plastic wrap that sticks to your car without harm to the paint. It somewhat helps keep the outside out, but the noise of having a single window open is still nagging.A huge benefit of Safelite is that they will come to your location, assuming they have an available appointment in your area. Safelite did not have an available appointment by my place of work at all, so I had to drive home to get it done. This was perfectly fine though, I was able to enjoy my home while the work was done.The service agent was professional and quick. The window was installed perfectly, as far as I can tell.The only disappointment I had was that I did not have the option to select after market or OEM parts. I was only notified at the time of installation that it was after market. Therefore, if you want OEM, you will have to call them to place your order instead of ordering onlinle.Despite the minor annoyances, I give the whole experience the full 5 stars. It is well deserved.

I had received a fast service from the staff here.I had to change my windshield due to a chip at the corner and my insurance recommended Safelite for the same. I found good reviews about them so i went ahead with them.Once i reached the repair shop they immediately started working on it. It hardly took them an hour to change the windshield.Once i got back home and checked the work closely it looked like there were some residue from the previous windbreakers putty on my dashboard. A couple of weeks later it felt like the car interior which holds the windshield is a bit wobbly than before. I am going to visit the repair center once again to check it out.

Easy to find but a very busy place when I went. They sent me home via Uber since it was going to take most of the afternoon to replace and calibrate the windshield.

Had a small diamond shaped crack from a rock. Insurance sent me to these guys and they botched the job and would not take responsibility for it. I now have to replace the windshield as they said you cant repair a repair and do not warranty their work. I will never go to them and would not recommend anyone dealing with them.

When my car was complete--Bobbie delivered my keys, told me where my car was and with a big smile said that he washed all my windows inside and out! I needed a windshield replacement for my Audi since it was cracked nearly half way across. I was told that they would not be able to install an OEM Windshield while still maintaining my deductible (since its a relatively high end car). Paying a little bit more wasnt a huge deal to me... it was the wait. Going with Safe Lite would have meant that I would have paid my full deductible, waited over 2 weeks and still in the end have a Chinese aftermarket part, which Im not comfortable with on my particular vehicle. I didnt like the idea of spending weeks commuting with a crack like that in my view and started digging...Ultimately, I did not get my repair done here and instead went to Hi-Tech Auto Glass nearby. They were able to install an OEM windshield *the next day* and I only paid my $250 deductible, which was incredible, considering. So, if Safelite makes you wait like they did me -- youre better of looking somewhere else! You wont be sorry. See my review for the other shop for details.

Great staff, with attention to detail, and efficient. The staff are also helpful; I left my backpack once and they stayed longer so that I could pick it up after closing time.

Guys did a great job replacing my windshield on short notice. Theres a Starbucks and lots of shopping close by if you dont feel like waiting in the office (about 2 hrs to replace).

Took month to make appt, finally get it and arrive to wrong part, and found another place to do the job for 1/3rd price.

I scheduled an appointment a week in advance. When I called an hour before the appointment, I was told that they didnt have the necessary parts and the appointment was cancelled. Nobody bothered to inform me about this. If I didnt call ahead to confirm, I would have wasted half my day for nothing.Its not their fault that they couldnt get the parts in time, but it is entirely their fault for the lack of communication to me. When I brought this up, I got a number of excuses ranging from something about a warehouse in Ontario to were not supposed to be doing Teslas in the first place.I ended up going with Precision AutoGlass in San Mateo instead, they had no trouble getting the parts with a day notice! And I even saved over $400 in the process.
