I made an appointment for 1:30, specifically asking how long it would take. I was told 1-1 1/2 hours. I arrived 30 minutes early for the appointment and was told it would be a 5 hour wait. I identified that I have a 1:30 appointment. I was told that didnt matter, other vehicles were in line ahead of mine.Doesnt that defeat the purlose of an appointment?

After made appointment a week earlier got there 6:45 a.m for 7a.m appointment. My vehicle was not seen after 8.am. I think they have shortage of staff. Staff were pleasant. Also reported ants in lobby. They were crawling on customers.

Day before: scheduled appointment for 10:00amDay of appointment: show up at 10:00am and they say there are 2 people ahead of you; it will be 1.5 hoursCall back at 12:15pm (2.25 hours): we cant fix the tire, you have to buy a brand new one, but not as good, for $200 plus labor. I say OK fine. They say we will call you when ready2pm: I go to pick up because I know putting on a tire takes 5-10 minutes and it has been 1.75 hours. In person response: just starting, 20 more minutes. Gimme a break. I go to nearby park to wait for call, and do some work zoom meetings.4:15pm: I go back and say what gives? They say it was ready like 5 minutes after you left; we should have called you. What?!?!? I ask for discount because they messed up. They say no. What a terrible business. Will never go back.

Scheduled and paid for a 9 am service through Tirerack one week prior. I show up and am told we dont schedule services through Tirerack. Finally convince the guy otherwise after providing proof of invoice and order number, then it takes an hour and a half to even get the car on the lift and get the job started. Fix your scheduling system and increase staffing.

I phoned and booked a 9.30am appointment for an oil change. I took the car in and was told it would take 2 hours. Called again at 11.30am and told they havent started yet and it would be done within the hour. Called again at 12.30pm and was told that it is going onto the rack right now and they are starting work on it, will be done in 45 minutes. I go by at 1.15pm and see my car sitting in the parking lot still - they hadnt even started the work. I was very disappointed to have wasted 4 hours, and to have been lied to. They then offered me a free oil change for another time, which was good compensation for wasting an entire morning. I rebooked my appointment on the phone, and when I turned up for the appointment they said that they only had 1 technician in and wouldnt be able to complete it that day. At this point, the possibility of the free oil change wasnt worth all the wasted time, and I didnt believe it would ever be rescheduled successfully. I decided to ditch the free oil change voucher and went straight to SpeeDee oil change in redwood city - who serviced my car in 35 minutes for a price that was only marginally higher than firestones. I chose to come to firestone because the oil change price was a little cheaper than others in the area, but it was definitely not worth the hassle. I have had good service at this store in the past, but I know that this store is experiencing some staffing issues at the moment with only 1 technician working at a time, so I would not recommend anyone come here for service until that problem is resolved. I understand that they may have staffing issues, but the terrible communication and constant leading me on has left me sour. If you have an appointment with a customer, you should at least phone them in advance to let them know their appointment is cancelled and not just tell them when they arrive in store. I wont be coming back to this store.

I got two tires replaced here. I brought the tires myself. They damaged the two wheels because they have bad equipment. When I complained, all the way to the claims store, they outright denied that it happened at their shop. Shameless people!! I will never to go a Firestone shop - just a disgraceful company that does not take accountability. While the damage was minor, but the wheels totally intact wheels, but it is still a damage. It does not show good work and professional ethics.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! After seeing they had many bad reviews I decided to give them a chance anyway and what a mistake that was. I called and made a same a day appointment and i show up 20 mins prior to appointment time only to be told they didnt have me scheduled. After I showed them the email they sent me verifying my appointment they suggested maybe I go somewhere else or comeback in 2 hours and considering I was there because of brake trouble and they are telling me to drive somewhere else or comeback later was very unprofessional imo.

Excellent quality but the customer service is terrible. We spent $2600 and the front desk rush you like your only buying a $10 burger at McDonald’s. Very disappointed but only put up with them because of the great mechanics and standard of quality.

Had a nail on the tire, in 35 mins everything was sort out for $20 with a very good service. Very friendly staff. I definitely recommend this shop !!!

Have a 2000 Kia with a no start. Had it towed to Firestone and was quoted a $99 diagnostic fee. All it turned out to be was a loose cable at the battery and was charged only 30 bucks. I just found a trustworthy, reliable and honest repair shop.

I think every store works different. I wanted to fix my tire because there’s a screw in there. So, they said it is not possible to fix and I had to replace 4 tires. 2 tires of the front I replaced like 8 month ago at Firestone in Millbrae. Why Millbrae sell 2 tires and in Redwood City it’s not possible? They said my car is AWD cannot replace 2 tires. Well, I went to another store. I didn’t buy new tires and they fixed it.

We had a 1:00 pm appointment for front end alignment diagnosis and maintenance. By 4:45 they had done nothing! What a complete waste of time. They should have let us know that they werent actually going to have time to work on our car. Were done with them after years of tire purchases/car maintenance.

Bad experience with this location the customer service is subzero and I came here with an appointment at 12:00 for oil change the guys keep my car out until 2:30 pm to start the work on it. Never going to come back to you guys again.

Stay away! They put the first scratch on my 2018 model. I ordered tires online & went to this shop to have them installed. I had an appointment and the wait time was horrible. Techs were going on lunch break in the middle of reinstalling parts. I didn’t notice until the next day while I was pumping gas. There was no way I was letting them near my car again & I didn’t feel like dealing with them.

Be prepared to wait 2-3 even when you have an appointment for a simple oil change. Apart from that no issues..

I went in with for an oil change and tire rotation service, the car was returned to me without the tire rotation done and after asking only then they accepted that they forgot. Please stand and make sure the technician are doing all the work you have paid for otherwise they will take you for a ride! Will not recommend Firestone ever because of my experience

Way overworked on the weekend. Parking lot crammed full, but nobody paying any mind to arrivals with no legal place to park their car. Just someone to greet confused incoming people and say park over in this pile here, its fine would be perfect. Done well and at a fair price, cant complain, but they really need to do a better job of keeping the lot clear. Pick up your car in an hour or we charge $100/hr would be a good place to start. Just waiting for it to be done is easy - I would never just drop off my car!

I went there for brake replacement. They suggested I need to replace my rotors as well. After the repairs were done, I realized they were not done properly and there was a squeaky sound on one of the tires. Additionally, they also broke the retainer that holds the hood prop rod. When asked they said they are simple fixes and they will call me and do it. They never called and/ or followed up. When I call they say the part has not arrived and to check back later.Please be aware of their customer commitments and service.

Took my 01 blazer here for an alignment got called an hour back that it was ready I get there and notice the wheels were still cambered on both sides, on the ride home I notice it pulls to the right after getting home I go over the results and notice the camber and caster werent even touched, I go back the following day and try to get an explanation and get told it needs additional shims so I agree to get those installed just to get told they dont want to do the work they canceled my 1 year warranty and refunded 50% of what I paid horrible techs that are either inexperienced, lazy or just simply dont want to get their hands dirty and made my alignment worse then what it was

What a terrific tire/brake/service center in downtown Redwood City! I wish I were just starting out in the workforce because Id definitely work here.

I went in to get a tire checked because it has been giving me problems ever since I purchased it from another store and they were very helpful with helping me figure out what was the issue. The person at the desk when I walked in has great customer service.

Beware of their underhanded price gouging repair scam tactics. Had an older car that Ive taken there for regular oil changes until one time they claimed the old oil pan nut is stripped scam which required an entire oil pan replacement costing $2,000. I told them I couldnt afford it at the time and wanted to think it over. I took it to another oil change shop and in and out in 15 minutes. I asked specifically about the oil pan nut and there were no problems.

Seems to be quality work here. Alignment and four Firestone All Season tires. 1-1/2 hr. wait. Togos across the street.

I couldnt say enough thanks to Tony and Rafael for replacing the 4 worn out tires. It is a 5-star service !!!We had an emergency with our two front tires,one tire was peeling off and made loud noise, the nearby Redwood City Firestone store closes at 5 PM, we arrived at 4:55 PM, 5 minutes from the closing time, we were worried if it was too late.....Toni, the service consultant, and Rafael, the mechanics, both are willing to work extra late hours to help us out, Toni is so professional and always carry a nice warming smile. We want to express our great appreciation to Toni and Rafael for going out of their way to help us out, so we can continue our long road trip. We consider this is our lucky day to meet Toni and Rafael.

This is the worst customer service experience Ive ever had with an auto service store. We took our car in to get the taillight replaced and have the oil changed. They also said they could replace our side view mirror, but would need to order the part. When we got home we realized all of the service lights were still on. They never called us to inform us they had received the part, and when we went in to ask them about the side view mirror and the service lights they told us the guy who had previously helped us would call, but again he never did. We eventually took the car elsewhere to get it fixed. There we learned they hadnt even replaced all of our tail lights and that we still had burned out bulbs in place. Overall, they did a shoddy job on the simple work we asked them to do and strung us along in a way that wasted our time.

Went here last week for a tire balance and rotation. Told it would take about an hour and 15 min later, I walk to the window to see my last tire being put back on and vehicle lowered. The next 20 min techs were under the hood, doing God knows what. I drove away and found steering wheel shaking at 40 mph. At return home looked at tires - - no weights, obviously still out of balance. Avoid!

Firestone has a good deal for lifetime wheel alignment. It pays for itself after 3 visits. The inconvenience is the lack of locations. The San Mateo shop just closed, as did the South San Francisco shop a few years ago, so you can only use the Redwood City shop. Call for an appointment, otherwise you have to drop the car off for the whole day.

Brakes were completely toast and drove in from a different city, was praying they would take care of me because I was worrying I wouldnt even make it home. They ended up taking care of me even though they were busy and helped me get back on the road safely. Thanks guys Ill be back! :)

I am here at least once a month for an oil change, tire rotation, and alignment. Usually I am quoted 1.5h for all three services and it always takes over 2h. Last time the 30m oil change took over 2h and they ran out of time to do the tire rotation and alignment. I stopped over a few days later for the rotation and alignment. I was quoted 1.5h and have been here 3.5h. Their tech cross threaded a lug nut and broke it and now they have spent over a hour trying to replace the stud. If I hadnt purchased a set of tires through them and gotten the lifetime rotation and alignment, I would go elsewhere.

I come here all the time for my routine alignment and out of all he past visits, this visit was the best! Not because of the service but the hardworking employees as well. I want to acknowledge Sanan and Trung for always putting in 110% in satisfying and taking care of the customers. They did a phenomenal job in taking care of me. Especially Sanan because you can tell his worth ethics are amazing! He definitely knows how to multi task and helps every single customer whether it is a recommendation or a summary of what service was done. He takes his time and shows you visually what the problem is and in detail which other techs dont. I will definitely come back with my friends and family because of Sanan’s hospitality. We had just got off the red-eye on a Sunday morning home from Honolulu to SFO. Started south on our way home from SFO and got a battery light. Pulled in the parking area before opening (0800) and walked to breakfast/coffee at Phils. Walked back to the store from there and they took the car immediately since we were first in line. We walked to Whole Foods and they called me and told me the bad news that the alternator needed replaced but that they would have it done by noon. We walked to a movie and before it was even done I got a call saying the work was complete. The quick repair got us home earlier than expected and we were able to spend a nice morning walking around the nice town of Redwood City. Firestone has done a good job for me in the past and they maintained their high recommendation after this almost disastrous return from vacation.

Tech Marks down air cabin filter dirty and I asked the rep at front desk to pull up my history of work done and seen the filter was replaced two weeks ago...his reply was auto tech assumed needed done because of millage on car.... just go to show that firestone dont therowly check out vehicles...

We had our GMC in for an alignment before a long trip and the Mecanic didn’t put the gotter pin back in the ball joint nut on front (R) wheel. It evually can loose and the wheel collapsed. We were pulling a trailer at the time. We could have been killed. We got lucky. We had it toed to Less Swabb tire shop in Grants Pass, Or. Now This Firestone shop won’t reimburse us to fix the car.

$28 for a tire plugged! Highway robbery! Speed Auto did it for $15. Go there instead.

Good service, and they seem to be some of the quickest people to get odd ball size tires. But their prices are rather high Compared to the local competition

Place is good and staff is friendly. Only issue I had was that one of the two tires I had replaced wasnt sealed properly, so the next morning my tire was flat and needed to be replaced.

I got like $1,500 worth of work done here summer 2011. They had a coupon at the rome for $100 off every $500. Youd think when someone spends that kinda cash that they would say hey, theres a coupon online thatll save you some money. Ive probably spent $5000 here I think they are a greedy shop. I would suggest going elsewhere for repairs.

I had the shop rotate my wheels two weeks ago. Yesterday one of the lugnuts broke in half. Part of the broken lugnut remained inside the wheel where the other lugnuts rubbed against the broken one. I immediately returned the car to the shop right at their close of business (some time just before six). The shop personnel immediately investigated my issue despite the time. Two hours later, the situation was repaired. It was close to 8:00 pm. They didnt need to stay for me but chose to do it anyway without a request asking them to do this. They did it on their own initiative. By the way, all of this was for free, including the rotation. So I kept them there 2 hours beyond their clock on a Sunday working exclusively at times on my car (multiple mechanics) and all this was for free. I call this great service, described by me with a sincere thanks!!
