I love to shop for my wine at K&L Wine Merchants. Its super easy to search and order online, and they offer curbside pickup so you dont need to leave the car.BTW I also love to go in and browse. Their staff is very knowledgeable and offer good suggestions for wines to pair with my menu. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

I often tell people if I could only shop at one place for my whisk(e)y (and wine), K&L would be the place. I almost exclusively use the website and will call option, but on the occasion I have gone in to the store, the crew has always been helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Even during the past year, 2020, their curbside pickup system has been smooth and without hiccup. If its for a bottle of wine for a dinner party or that hard to find scotch whisky, K&L will take care of you.

Full admission: I work here. Why five stars? The ownership and management have been prioritizing their employees safety during this pandemic. Sure theres outstanding selection and a good turn around time of 24-48 hours with the volume we are currently processing, with great deals overall very fair pricing on everything from wine to beer to spirits. But you also know youre supporting a business that gives a damn about its people, and from where I am, that counts for a lot.

Loved Seeing the Curb Side Pick up - was a little tricky to see the process but it was super easy and the staff is always so friendly!

This is an excellent shop! They are known for an amazing wine selection, but I love them for their liquor and beer selections. I have gotten some hard-to-find whiskeys here before. Also, they carry such a wide variety of beers that I can always find something new to try. You cant go wrong stopping by here and picking something up. Fair prices as well, which makes it that much easier to walk away with a handful of stuff.

SF puts it in your car if you open the back from the drivers seat. But, K&L wines are so wonderful Id go anywhere to get the quality they provide.

The Best in the West. But with reservations. Staff gracious and obliging. Generally knowledgeable, but often stumped on some more esoteric labels. Great database, however, so if you know a little bit about what you want, They will advise.Very heavy on California (Duh), France and Europe in general, but I am not so sure about emerging amphora and other genre. Very limited selection of Greek wines. I found their prices to be in line with the market.

Terrible customer service!!!Not sure what’s going on or if I somehow have a weird experience versus all the other customers.I placed an order online for a very nice (expensive) bottle of wine to be delivered as an anniversary gift. My order was confirmed, delivery scheduled (confirmed via text) and then radio silence.Order doesn’t get delivered, no communication!!I feel like I was ghosted :). Check online for my order status and it states ‘cancelled due to fraud’.Checked with my CC company, no problems or alerts.Two days later, emails to customer service, still no response.Maybe join this century, if you have an online store, follow up with your customers!!!

I was in the wholesale liquor business. I never had K&L as an account, but they knew their business and could afford to be picky as hell at the price points offered. Great selection and staff is included in educational tastings. Tell them what you like and be given multiple options.

Im not a big wine drinker, but every now and then I like to grab a couple bottles. The customer service is really what sets this place apart and is the reason why I keep coming back. The staff at K&L are always happy to help you find something that will suit your tastes and price range. This store has bottles for all price points, starting at $10 on the lower end, and they have wine from every region you could imagine. The beer selection is very good as well.

Bought birthday gift here. Sales associate was very helpful and gave a very helpful suggestions based on what was in my friends liquor collection (I took pics to remember what they had and showed the sales associate). They have a wide variety of hard to find brands, and we were able to find actual Kirsch (for fondue) here.

French) that theyve hand-picked and in many cases directly imported, and their staff (and website) are super helpful too. Review for online order for will-call pickup: great selection of wine, but unclear transit times for will-call orders. I think Ill either buy elsewhere next time, or choose local delivery instead. Was very disappointed by their online support relating to my order. It definitely makes me rethink referring family and friends to K&L in the future.

Uncaring, Unprepared, UnprofessionalK&L cut the lock to my wine locker, removed my wine, removed the wine from my storage boxes, then stole those boxes. They did absolutely nothing to find the owner of the wine, me, deciding instead to sit around and wait for someone to show up and claim it. K&L failed me as a customer, blamed me for what happened, then refused to accept any reasonable suggestions for how to change their processes to prevent a similar outcome in the future. Unprofessional doesn’t begin to describe the behavior of everyone I encountered, including the owner Todd Z, in this process. If I had read a review like this prior to deciding to rent a storage locker from K&L, I would certainly have looked elsewhere. Hopefully, I can save someone the unpleasant treatment I received, which is why I’m writing this summary.After all that I assumed the owner of a seemingly respected business would be empathetic to my experience as a customer. Surely this extremely poor outcome was worthy of a retrospective review and some post mortem analysis. I was wrong. The owner, Todd Z, over email and then over the phone, could hardly muster even a simple apology. He claimed this situation was so far “outside the norm” that his staff simply didn’t know how to handle it. He doesn’t think much of his staff, apparently. More concerning was he blamed me for the outcome. It was my fault I was shown to the wrong locker, my lock was cut, nothing was done to find me, and my storage boxes were stolen. Being decent isn’t hard, but does require some capacity for empathy and self-reflection. These are clearly in short supply at K&L.In the end, I was refunded all of the money I was charged for the wine storage, and reimbursed for the boxes that were stolen. Hardly the point. If youre looking for cellaring, do some homework. There are better places close by.

By far my favorite wine shop. I stock up regalarly there, mostly purchased on their online store first and grab a few more bottles when I go pickup my orders.

K and l specializes in French. they have other stuff, a fair amount of California, but they are brilliant at French. The staff is all very knowlegable, you can simply put yourself in their hands. They love showing you the good bottles that arent the expensive ones.

My wallet hates me when I go here. Selection and service are top notch. You can buy online and they will hold it up to 90 days if you are not able to pick up right away. They also have raffles, auctions, tastings and wine lockers. One stop shop to blow all your money.
