Holy Donuts Batman! This place has the best Vegan donuts in the Reno Sparks area. Lots of choices and always fresh. I am glad I found this place.

This place tries to expand the flavors of donuts beyond the more conventional flavors we are use to and they do so successfully. Location is good and the interior modern. The customer service was excellent even though the price for a dozen was a tad high.

Super friendly staff and very few people on an early Saturday morning. We went for vegan Saturday and were not disappointed! They had a large selection at 8am but I heard they sell out quickly. Pairs nicely with their single-origin ethically sourced coffee. Definitely go and treat yourself with the vegan delights!

Been watching them on IG for about a month while planing my trip to Reno and I’ll I have to say HOLY SCHMIDT!These are amazing I got there 20Mins after opening so they were fresh, amazing presentation and tons of fun flavors!Now, anytime I visit a donut spot regardless of verity I make sure to get an old fashioned and a fritter because regardless of how many flavors you have if you can’t nail those, I don’t want anything else. 10/10 great flavor and consistency not to sweet. And the fritter had tons of fresh apple in it. This place is a must

We ordered Holey Schmidt for our wedding dessert! They made wonderful vegan donuts for all our guests, many of who could not believe they were vegan!

I love this place, its super chill and low-key and their donuts are on point. Its never too crowded and the staff is always friendly. Oh and I almost forgot, their cappuccino is legit!

Havent been to this location in a while donuts are really good but VERY sweet.... Which wouldnt be a problem but they only have sweetened milk ( at least when we went) it was overkill but overall a pleasant experience to eat here

Ive heard so many great things about this donut shop, so I finally tried them. Donuts are really good but the selection wasnt quite as large and varied I had hoped. Still, I would definitely come back and recommend them.

What a delightful surprise to the Reno area! There is no shortage of imagination when it comes to these donuts. These funky donuts arent solely about appearances- they taste fantastic too! And dont forget to grab your coffee with your donuts. They certainly made the space kid friendly too- check out their creativity wall for the kids to draw on! I highly recommend this place if you havent made your way there already!

Its a cute place the person working at the front though didnt seem like they were having a good day . And I dont think all their products were put out yet for the day/ morning

Dude! So good! All of them are good! Like, all of them! Honestly a great selection of donuts and vegan donuts ( which sometimes have the best flavors, but you wouldnt know they were vegan). I literally cant just get one! The staff is always very friendly, but make sure to get there early because theyre so good that they sell out sometimes! Theyre that good!

Didnt eat the food yet, but this place was filthy. The tables, floor, bathroom. Toilet hasnt been cleaned in at least a month...

Many different special flavors that you won’t see in other donut shop. Came visit around 4pm on Saturday many flavors were so out. If you would like to see all the selections they have, suggest you to go visit in the morning. Tried the strawberry cream flavor. It taste really special and not too sweet. I love it so much! Just a little over price. It costs $2.17 with tax.

Good donut shop in the midtown downtown area of Reno, right next to the discovery museum. They have lots of different flavors of donuts. Not your typical donut store, this one has cereal or other fancy toppings on each donut. Overall they are pretty tasty. They off two different price options, having the employee pick your donuts or for a few dollars more you can pick them out.

Boyfriend and I came in today and it was a great experience! It was a Friday around noon and not too busy. We ended up getting the mocha doughnut and splitting it. It was $2, which for such large specialty doughnuts that’s really a great value. The girl working was super friendly and patient with our indecisiveness and gave very good and insightful recommendations. Facilities were well decorated and very clean. Great location and overall highly recommend!

Filled donuts werent actually filled. They just have a dollup of filling in the center on top. Donuts werent bad but I dont think they are worth the $ or trip. Doughboy donuts in reno has better donuts.

I feel like the owner or manager doesnt want people to find this place. Its located in a deceptively separate building attached to the Discovery museum which has a sign as large as its building face. Meanwhile the doughnut shop has its name painted in what comparably i would call fine print on its door. I walked right past it not even realizing it wasnt part of the museum. No street sign, no colorful finger paints on the window, no sidewalk dancers...Anyway, after calling to get help finding what i was standing in front of, i had a couple of the best doughnuts Ive had in reno.

These donuts are delicious. Great sponge, crispy outsides, glaze and other accoutrements are perfectly mixed for your enjoying pleasure. I especially love the maple bacon bar, I could have eaten a dozen of these and just slept through dinner, but Im savage, so I just took a bite of each other variety. I have to say, Im impressed, Ive had donuts all over the world. They know what theyre doing, please do your sweet tooth a favor, support local business, and put a smile on your face, go try these donuts!

Was our first time visiting and it was worth It! Custom delish donuts, different every day, great coffee selection, staff is very friendly! Activities to keep the kids busy! There isnt a lot of seating, but its spacious. Told someone I chose to stand up and eat the donuts while doing squats so I killed 2 birds with 1 stone!! 🤣 Haha but overall, we will be back!!

This place offers a large variety of unique donuts, anywhere from a Cookie Monter donut to a Maple bacon donut. It is a fairly large store located near downtown Reno. It is next to a childrens museum, so it would be a good place to stop with the kids. I ordered two dozen for my work office. (They were gone by lunch!)You can pick your own dozen for $16, or have the staff pick them for you for $13. I tried the plain glazed. It was sweet and soft, the icing crumbling off and onto me with each bite. I would definitely recommend this place.

What an wonderful experience! Ive been a doughnut fan my whole life and this place has one of the best selections Ive ever come across. They have an even selection of both yeast and cake doughnuts with varied toppings and or fillings. The doughnut fresh and almost disappeared as it melted in my mouth. Truly an amazing experience!

I honestly only came here for a shirt that said Holey Schmidt!!! I was sadly disappointed.Luckly the doughnuts were amazing. Churro, and brownie were welcome additions to the usual list. But they can do an old fashioned with a light glaze just right.Staff that night was fun, the place was nice, and clean.You were one shirt away from five stars. And me being a walking billboard.

Amazing donut selection from classic to super creative. They had good options for raised and cake donuts and reasonably priced across the board. I thought the quality and variety of flavors was even better than the famous Voodoo donuts.

I used to rate this place a 5 out of 5 for having great donuts that were large and immaculate. The last two times I have gone there have been some donuts on display that should of straight been thrown out. There is a lack of consistency and the quality of their product has gone down substantially. I hope they make a comeback because this used to be the best donuts in reno

Amazing Donuts! Very fun atmosphere

We stayed in Reno for the weekend, and these doughnuts were SO good that we went here both Saturday and Sunday! The dough is just to die for whether in the form of one of their specialty doughnuts (I had the s’mores) or just your classic glazed doughnut. Good coffee too!

Delicious donuts. They even have vegan and gluten-free options (gluten-free is available Thursday only). The right amount of sweetness and excellent texture. Plenty of parking around if you are driving.

This was a fun outing for my family very relaxed colorful environment so much fun to choose all of these crazy different donuts. It was easy to park and walk right up with the strollers.

Being vegan, it is tough to find options at eateries that have a wide variety but Holey Schmidt Donuts had the same amount of variety as the non-vegan options. Not only the variety but the taste and the service was awesome. Highly recommend this spot, support local businesses.

They have so many varieties and everyone Ive tasted was great! Im a donut lover! The owner is awesome, friendly, makes you feel at home! You have to get there early in the day, cause the donuts do sell out! You can sit down inside or go outside. Theres places to sit and enjoy your donuts. They have wheelchair access there too. Thats my favorite donut shop!

My girlfriend and I come in every Tuesday morning for your vegan donut selection. And let me tell everyone(and I do) THEY ARE AMAZING!!!! She has a dairy allergy and an incredible sweet tooth. I picked the Lil Schmidt 6 pack and am pretty impressed with what was picked. There was a maple donut log that was put in (not a huge fan of maple donuts) next to a plain glazed and both were amazing it was my first time there and the man at the counter thought i should try the basics and they were better than most donut shops around. I will definitely order the maple again, not as sweet as most ppaces which is what i look for. Good work Holey Schmidt Donuts

We finally visited the much talked about Holey Schmidt donuts. It was later in the day but they still had a large selection of donuts to choose from. The staff apologized for not having more but I wouldnt expect them to stay fully stocked all evening. The donuts were very good. The staff was happy to help. The dining area, unfortunately, looked like a Junior High cafeteria after the lunch crowd. Not a clean table to be found. Food and crumbs everywhere. I wish this was an anomaly in todays fast food world but its not. So, I cant nail them too hard because they are no worse than everyone else. Wait til its warm out, grab a great donut, and eat outside.

I’m always looking for new local restaurants to try, this came across as a suggestion on google and I finally got the opportunity today! I drove across town from sparks to try them, and they did not disappoint. I got a 1/2 dozen that I picked myself I normally love donuts no matter what but my husband and kid are picky. My husband hates sweets and my kid only likes chocolate, but they both ate their donut and wanted more! I got my son the holey grail and cosmic brownie which were both devoured within minutes. My husband got the orange creamsicle and chocolate bar, he said the orange wasn’t too sweet like it is at most places.After reading a lot of these reviews I’ll probably have them pick some donuts for me. There’s a huge selection of old and unique donuts. The customer service is great; they were very patient as I tried to make my decision. It was a very open location with lots of seating outside and inside.

This is a fun shop with some crazy, fun and strange donut selections. My kids enjoyed trying out several of the different flavors like potato chip, circus animals, captain crunch, etc. However, the actual donuts are rather heavy, overly sweet and cake like. It is probably personal preference but with the price being a lot more than the average donut shop and only having my kids want to eat the toppings, it is hard to justify going back. With that said, the staff was great and the shop is cute. So, if heavy cake donuts are your thing, than this is the shop for you.

High end donuts

An absolute hidden gem. Im typically not a sweets person, but I have yet to have anything that disappoints. Theres a rotating selection of really interesting donuts ranging from decadent cakes, breakfast cereals, and the nostalgia of dirt cups. Staff has always been very welcoming and happy to answer questions. The space is open and quiet enough to sit down and enjoy with a friend. I dont believe I have tried any of them, but I believe I have seen vegan options available.

Delicious treats in creative configurations certain to engage children and adult-as-children of all walks. I particularly enjoyed my cereal covered donut. Be sure to have them build a dozen for you (couple bucks cheaper than picking yourself) and try something new!

Overall great donuts. I come into this store at least once a week after leaving work. (I work about 5 min down the road)Today was the first time I came inside and just wanted some donut holes. I bought two and was told to grab them off the counter as there were 3 with the day old donuts I asked the worker if they were fresh and he said yes. After arriving home i had my first one. Needless to say they were a day old. There is a huge difference. Very disappointed.Owner did contact me fairly fast to try to rectify this. I have changed my review as this is the only time I have had a problem.
