I absolutely love this place! Everybody that works there is so nice and knowledgeable. I never feel incompetent when I ask too many questions. My husband and I look quite a bit different than the people they are used to seeing but no one judges us and they make us feel like wanted customers! Thank you all for being so kind and welcoming. We wont be getting our fabric anywhere else!

Wonderful people but high prices

For a beginning-leave quilter, this store has more fabric types than I would ever need, but it was amazing to look at. A costumer’s dream!The staff was amazing. They met me at my ability level and did all the math to give me the fabric I needed to make my son a quilt.

😲 This is such a great place for anyone that loves fabric!!! You could get lost in here, literally, with all the beautiful colors and textures stacked up to the ceiling! Something out of a fairytale for sewing aficionados and crafters alike.

This is a legendary business. My mom took me here all the time in the 70s when I was a teenager. Love this place and so happy its still open!!!👏❤️

We live near Sacramento and go to Reno every few months. My wife could almost live at this fabric store and she will take an hour to look at about everything and typically finds fabrics that she needs for her special projects. The neighborhood is a little rough with broken down vehicles and homeless and weeds growing all over but the store is plentiful with stock.

The staff was awesome hel p in me with my lampshade design. Cant belive the inventory. Plan at least 1 1/2hrs to browse, no kidding. My project of two lampshades was under $20.

All my sewing needs are here. Best selection in town. Prices are reasonable!

Enormous selection of fabric. Quilt cottons, cotton poly stuff for general sewing, huge selection of upholstery fabric and automotive interiors. Small scraps of leather sold by the pound. Trim, thread, zippers. Spend an hour looking around. Employees were Friendly and helpful

Amazing variety of high quality fabrics. We do a lot of home projects including interior design, custom costumes, car upholstery - you name it we are not afraid to try it. A wonderful place for creating and browsing for ideas. They have way more than fabric: foam, leather, carpet, camo, lace, netting, costumes, upholstery, etc. If you don’t see it, just ask the friendly and knowledgeable staff. They probably have whatever you need, somewhere, or they can give you ideas on how to get it!

Mill End has everything and the staff is usper helpful. This is a real fabric store, not some foofoo department store. You could get lost in there.

Im honestly surprised with how much inventory they have. Extremely sweet and caring attendance. I spent a couple hours longer than I had expected rummaging through countless hallways of fabric. I found the perfect material to upholster my sofa pillows, and Ill be back for other projects

I like Mills End Fabrics, they have a huge warehouse type store filled with some awesome patterns, and materials. If your looking for something exclusive, ya go there. Well worth your time.

Love this place! During the early days of the pandemic, I placed an order for fabric and elastic through the competitor (you know who Im talking about!). After about a week, I still had not received an email that my order was ready for pick up. I drove by that store (due to the closure), and there were signs stating that pick up was only available until noon, and there was a number to call. I tried calling the number throughout the day, but there was no answer. The next day, when I had decided to cancel my order and just go to Mill End, the competitor sent me an email that ALL of my order was out of stock. I went straight to Mill End Fabrics, and they had everything I needed, including the highly-sought-after elastic. I will not be buying from Joanns again!

More fabric than I have ever seen at a store. Great prices and variety. Nice selection of high density foam pads, and even marine carpet on rolls. Tons of trim. Will shop again. :)I will say it looks a little questionable on the outside, but totally worth the visit.

A great local fabric store with a massive selection of fabrics: quilting cotton, swimsuit fabric, knits, denims and twill, upholstery fabric, vehicle upholstery and carpet, and vinyl (to name a few). Also D rings, clips, hooks, trims, nylon strap, elastics, and an extensive button collection.Some specialty and fancies are somewhat limited, and JoAnn is a better place to find something in that group. But all the employees have been there for years and are always friendly and helpful. I always go here first for my fabric needs! Just pop in and have a look!

This is the best locally owned fabric store in Reno. They go out of their way to help you find what you need, advise you on fabric choices and get the proper measurements. So many options, great prices.

A hidden gem. Endless assortment of fabrics and even novelty pieces for tricky projects. The staff are experts, and friendly to boot. When Im putting together costumes, sets, puppets, and effects for plays, this is the first place I consider. And I drive in from Carson! Its worth the trip every time.

I’m not from around town. I was visiting Reno during the pandemic and mandatory closure of businesses. The staff here were fantastic. I wanted to replace the fabric from my chairs and was looking for a neutral (guy-ish) design. I was assisted through FaceTime, and was given all the time I needed to choose the perfect fabric, which was a recommendation from the staff BTW! Looks great :)

Renos best kept secret. Ive been going here for fabrics my entire life, and my mother also went here going back to the 1970s. I swear there are still stacks of now-vintage fabric throughout this amazing bazaar of textiles. There are types of fabrics here that are very hard to find anywhere, like sweater knits and ribbings. The Mill End Rule is: if you see it, buy it, because it wont be there next time. You just have to dig for things. I recommend taking a lighter and burn testing fabrics - a lot is not marked or is mismarked for fibers. Ive found some incredible deals because of that but its also stung me before too (that wool... wasnt wool 😥). The prices are ridiculously low - much of the fabrics comes from fashion industry and would normally be way way way higher priced. I love Mill End. Love it, and I hope it never ever ever closes.

Heaven for those who sew anything. Huge aisles of every kind of fabric, even upholstery. Ribbon, decorative trim, elastic, buttons, snaps, zippers by the foot/yard etc. Sewing machine needs, and useful little staples like fray-check. My reason for coming here was for zipper repair. Stephanie, their expert zipper surgeon, replaced my jackets broken zipper slider while i waited. Its perfect again! And it is almost a crime how low of a price she charged for such a wonderful service. All the staff there are super nice and helpful.

Not your classic cookie-cutter fabric store. You will be overwhelmed by the mile-high likes of every fabric imaginable. Think warehouse with VERY knowledgeable and friendly staff to assist you.

A do it yourself paradise ... A professional paradise. You name it, in the way of sewing, they have it. From leather to fine fabrics and everything in between. Wait time is lengthy at times, but worth the wait.

I just love this place! It has everything you could possible need to sew, upholster or create with fabric, suede, foam, lace, notions galore. I could go on. I come in with one vision in my head and end up creating another one as I walk through the aisles.

Mill End has everything in the way of fabrics. The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. If you have to wait a few minutes it’s because staff is very thoughtfully and thoroughly taking care of a customer (ie, doing a great job) and there is plenty of them every time I’m there (v frequently)! I am only bummed their store in Carson City is no more as it could be described exactly the same. Great place- thanks for great selection & great customer service🌻

Selection is AMAZING. There is so much it would take you days to go through everything. However, it was a tight fit and it was kind of a dirty feel, but other than that, it was great. Amazing Prices and I found stuff from the 80s that reminded me of my childhood that I just had to have. A must for any quilter or seamstress.

If only I could really sew, oh the things that could be made. This place every type of fabric you could need. Party gown, t-shirt, quilt, home upholstery, car interior, foam, along with so much more. If your furniture crafty or into making clothes this is the place to shop.

Talk about a selection! Those other big box stores that say they are fabric stores have nowhere near the selection. I am doing some custom vinyl work to the interior of my vehical and have so many choices at my disposal made the choice even harder, but in a good way. The staff was very helpful and friendly as well. They also carry a good selection of foam for seats as well as other applications. But this is not an automatic fabric shop, it has alm kinds of fabric for whatever you are looking to do. I highly recommend Mill End Fabric!
