I recently had Kevin at Landa Muffler redesign my cars exhaust system. Not only was it great working with Kevin, but he put together an excellent sounding and looking exhaust system for me. He kept me in the loop as he was working on everything and talked through potential hurdles with me as well. He also never made me feel foolish for not knowing or being unfamiliar with something. I felt like I learned things about exhaust system setups in the process and I greatly appreciated that. I wish I had more cars to bring to him.

The owner, Kevin, is very knowledgeable, professional and knows his stuff! He changed the catalytic converter on my 98 GMC, and showed me arching I had with a plug with, instead of not telling me and charging me to fix it. He changed the front end parts on my sons 2005 Chevy 4x4. His mechanic, Steve, is just as professional. 2 bay garage, but he gets stuff done.Hes my go-to guy for questions and all repairs.

Was steered into Landa after getting a diagnostic done on my underperforming engine, where it was determined I needed a bit of an exhaust overhaul. These guys came highly recommended.Steve and Kevin were excellent to work with and completely blew me away with their knowledge, speed, and kindness. Needed a muffler welded onto cut end of stock exhaust. Guy on the phone wouldn’t give a quote because pipe piece wasn’t on the car. I told him I’d give measurements and I had already checked fitment with a temp autozone hanger and just needed muffler welded onto the pipe and some hangers welded as well. He said they weren’t interested after I questioned the process. Won’t ever go back, I called Zamboni muffler they were able to help out quick and didn’t seem quick to dismiss me.

Took in my RV for tailpipe replacement both for the engine exhaust and the generator.. They hoisted it up then brought me out to the shop to show me what they were going to do. Though there was a lot of rust on the generator pipe, they told me that the integrity of the pipe was intact and didnt need replacement. I had them replace it anyway so it would both match. The work was beyond good, re-attaching the muffler to the factory attachments that some how was unattached. These are honest, down to earth people who enjoy doing a good job.

I went into Landa Muffler to get some work done and Kevin and his crew really knew what they were doing. They told me all the options for my truck as far as exhaust and cold-air intake and the price was reasonable and the service was excellent. I had a check engine light on while visiting Reno from the Bay Area. Kevin was recommended by another auto shop, and quickly assessed the issue my car was having. What could have been an expensive part replacement was avoided when Kevin found an alternative method for the repair. He even made sure that the part was compliant with CA requirement since Im out of state.Excellent service all around!

Been in Reno for years have had 100s of cars trucks done. Everytime I come in here it’s always double what everyone else wants and not the greatest of work. Now he wouldn’t even touch my truck because no cats and the truck wouldn’t be reg because it’s off-road only use so it didn’t matter. I go down to cail now get it done for literally half the price and work is 1000x better

Kevin runs a first class operation. Hes careful to properly diagnose a problem before any recommendation is made to fix anything - - hes a mechanic, not a parts changer. The customers best interest comes first with sound advice on how to best proceed.

Called first to let them know what I needed done, schedule appointment for the next day. When I got in they were quick to get my car on the lift and get the new exhaust system on quick, asked for my input when they needed it and handled the job professionally.Definitely recommend this shop. Will be going back for future work.

Need muffler work, look no further than Landa. Landa was recommended to me for a leaky muffler/exhaust on my 94 Chevy G20 and they were great. Friendly staff, work done fast and efficient with a reasonable price. Honestly was expecting to pay more. They will be my go to place for any future muffler,/etc needs and I highly recommend.

Its hard to love having your car repaired, but it makes it much easier when youre assured that the people doing it know what theyre doing. I needed a new catalytic converter, which is pricey in general. These guys didnt quote me any better than the various shops I went to, as it is an expensive repair for my vehicle ANYWHERE. But I had reassurance knowing these guys were handling it. The owner, Kevin opened the hood and knew exactly what he was looking at, so I had him do a diagnostic which was super quick as well. He quoted me a price I basically expected, and thats actually what I ended up paying, to a tee. No surprises. Not only that, my car was repaired QUICK. I got it back within a few hours of dropping it off. Ive passed smog and have had zero issues with my new catalytic converter. Also, its nice to not feel like a number. Kevin always spoke to me by my name without fail and knew what vehicle he was looking at. No condescension. In conclusion, if you have an emissions repair, go here. They may or may not quote you any lower than other shops per se, but these guys know what theyre doing. And they do it fast with an accurate quote.

I bought a bolt on exhaust kit that didnt quite fit my truck when it was time to bolt it on. During the install a piece was modified to make it meet with the trucks original exhaust, but that left some small leaks. Rather than keep trying to make adjustments, I took it to the professionals at Landa Muffler. They were able to get me in, fix what was needed at a GREAT price, and get me back on the road in about 30 minutes. Now the exhaust doesnt sound like a helicopter is landing, it sounds great! Everyone working there is very cool, polite, professional, but still seem like guys youd want to go have a beer with. Thank you Landa Muffler, Ill be back to get my smogs and anything else I can think of here, just because you guys were great to work with today!

They were supposed to put magnaflow on my dads truck a few years ago. I just replaced it cause the welds at the muffler failed. None of it was magnaflow. It was cheap garbageflow exhaust.

Had a new complete exhaust system installed out of town and after having it worked on 3 times finally brought it to Landa to get it done right. These guys are great, up front on price & what was needed to fix the problem. I am bringing my motor home in next.

When my wifes 96 developed an exhaust leak I took it to Landa Muffler. They replaced the exhaust manifold the same day and charged a reasonable price. Several months later a nut on the exhaust manifold worked its way loose. I took it back and they replaced all the nuts with locking nuts no questions asked! That is service. I will take my cars there for any exhaust related issues without hesitation. You should too. :)

My truck developed a very loud exhaust leak and Landa Muffler came recommended by a coworker. The staff was very friendly and repaired my truck the same day. I was expecting a much larger repair job but they only fixed what was broken and didnt charge me for parts I didnt need. I will definitely take my truck back here for future repair needs.

Had a magnaflow muffler I wanted mated to a flange I had as well, simple cut and a couple welds. They wanted to charge me $150 to do this. I could buy a welder and grinding wheel from harbor freight and do it myself for that price. Disappointing

Just thought everyone in the 775 would wonder where theyd take their vehicles for exhaust or brake work.Enjoy my review:My K1500 Chevy Silverado had sprung an exhaust leak, and I decided that after talking to a coworker about where he takes his cars for exhaust/muffler work, would read up on reviews on a place he recommended: Landa Muffler on 4th St.Overall, Landas reviews were favorable with a few not-so-great ones. But I decided that I wasnt going to take my rig to any Midas or Meineke shop, because I have taken my car there years ago and wasnt too impressed with their parts and workmanship.I would just have to commit to a leap of faith and try Landa.I went inside the shop and Kevin greeted me warmly. After getting my truck on the rack in less than 5 minutes after getting there, he then proceeds to LISTEN to what I had to say: it was my beater/ski rig, and I didnt want to spend too much on getting my leak fixed.To me, this quality is a TRUE characteristic of a consummate professional.He then SHOWED me what was wrong, and recommended I replace the original catalytic converter (clogged ??), rusted muffler and rusted exhaust. The truck is 21 years old and has 172,000 miles, so his recommendation was valid in my eyes. He told me that he would upgrade the exhaust piping from the stock 2.5 to 3 from the header all the way to the back, and he would also upgrade the muffler to something that would sound good. He told me that hed use Magnaflow components, which is one of the premier exhaust brands in the automotive business.I asked him how much it would cost OTD with parts and labor, and was prepared for a sticker shock. When he told me the price, I was both surprised AND elated !! I told him, lets do it and he and his assistant went to work on it right away.I get a call that my rig was ready in 3 hours. My g/f drove me to his shop and I told him, can I see my truck before I pay ??. He said, Sure. Do you want to hear how it sounds too ??. When he cranked the engine over, she sounded a bit louder and throatier. She sounded BADASS, imo. I crawled underneath to inspect their work while the engine was humming, and I was pleasantly surprised at the level of work they put in. The welds looked great (as far as I can tell) and I couldnt hear ANY leaks along the pipes and welds.I happily paid him and we small-talked a bit more. I found him extremely friendly and easy to talk to. He is a straight-shooter, no BS kind of guy, a rarity in the auto repair business.My g/f had a hard time getting her minivan from Park to Reverse on his driveway. She called me over and I tried in vain to shift it, but the shift lever wouldnt budge. Kevin saw from his office that we were having a hard time getting out of his shop, so he strolls towards us and suggests methods in getting it out of Park. One of his methods worked. Like I said, Kevin is just one of those nice guys, and I wouldnt hesitate taking any of my vehicles to him for exhaust or brake work.I would highly, HIGHLY recommend him to my friends and family.(BTW, my truck seems to run a bit more peppier, probably due to the new cat and upgraded exhaust diameter.
