I just happened to come across NW Gold & Diamond and the owner, Mark one afternoon. I walked in and told Mark what I was looking for...a sparkly nice size diamond ring. After talking for a few minutes Mark was able to draw a picture of what I had explained. He then found the right size, clarity and cut of diamonds to fit the design. I picked up the finished product today and it is more than I could have ever imagined. Mark is an artist. He is kind, knowledgeable and trust worthy. I have already recommended him to friends and family. Thank You Mark!! The pictures just dont do the ring justice. It is absolutely gorgeous.

Mark is amazingly talented and was very passionate about designing my dream wedding ring. I went in not totally sure what I wanted but knew the look I was going for. I have my grandmas wedding ring and didnt want to change it, but wanted to do something to make it more me. Mark came up the idea to make a ring wrap that would fit snugly along my ring and cover the band part, which would preserve the design and original and heirloom ring, but create a detachable band. I came in with pinterest pics and he listened and pulled out and antique spoon that was the exact look I was going for. He spent hours drawing up the design and I couldnt believe he created exactly what I had imagined. Mark is super professional and really wants to make something amazing. He came recommended by a coworker and looking at the crazy prices at jewelry stores, I figured something custom would be WAY out of our price range but he didnt gouge us at all. The quality we received was incredible and worth every penny. I love my ring and that he was able to interweave my style with my Grandmas heirloom ring.

I have been consistently impressed with the quality of service that Northwest Gold and Diamond offers. I have been in several times for work that I needed done on my wedding set, and each time, they have been kind, engaging, and extremely knowledgeable. They do excellent work, and they do it quickly. Today I brought in my wedding set to get it reshaped because it had bent, and they repaired it within five minutes (and even fixed a prong on the solitaire that I didnt realize was bent).They have my business permanently-- my experiences have always been positive (even when Ive had to have my two kids in tow) and they make it so clear that their customers are their top priority.

Walked in to inquire about sizing a couple of rings. Mark was so transparent in discussing his concerns about sizing the rings and gave me honest feedback. He also took a look at some gold and other precious metal rings I have to tell me the value of each. Great experience. Went in to sell some silver. Mark met with me on a weekend after talking with him by phone. Called several others in the area and he not only gave me a better price than the others, but he treated me like family. Hes honest, professional and respectful. His security when you walk in makes you feel important and safe during a transaction. Mark explained how long hes been in this industry and it definitely showed during my short visit with him. Mark is one of a kind and his store is clean and upscale. However, even in a small transaction like mine, he treated my like royalty. A few years ago, I came here for a second opinion about a diamond ring that my mother had given to me. I had taken the ring to a well known jewelry store that told me that the majority of the diamonds were loose and would cost around $600 to repair. When I took it to NW Diamonds and Gold, he told me that the majority of stones were perfectly secure with the exception of maybe two of them. He saved me so much money with his honesty and integrity.Today, I took in some jewelry to be repaired and he went above and beyond to repair it. The owner is friendly and honest and I would recommend everyone to this business!

The owner Mark is the nicest guy. He resized my wedding ring for ONLY $25!!! It took him maybe 15 minutes to compress my ring down to the right size so it wont fall off at work again. I cant say enough positive things about this place

Approximately three years ago we needed to talk to someone about selling coins and a few pieces of jewelry. We actually walked into a few places that advertised their expertise in appraising jewelry and coins and knew right away that we wouldnt trust them to help us. My boyfriend and I came to Mark at NW Gold and Diamond to sell some of our old gold. We were so impressed! He took his time and explained everything to us as he went along. We loved doing business with him so much that we decided to look into ordering an engagement ring from him (We had been looking everywhere and nothing was just right) Mark exceeded our expectations! We picked out a design (he also does custom). He took the time to show us different diamonds, allowing us to see them under a microscope, and describing the different aspects of them. Now we are getting married in 4 months and I get SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on my beautiful ring! Mark is the best!!

Mark was awesome! I went with my mom to get some pieces evaluated to help pay for a relative’s extended health care. Understandably, my mom was having a difficult time emotionally and Mark was so kind and empathetic. He patiently listened to her concerns and carefully (and thoroughly) went over each piece she brought. He gave us a great quote on several pieces and paid cash on the spot for the pieces she decided to sell. There was no obligation, and there were several pieces he recommended NOT selling because of their sentimental value.All in all, it was an amazing experience! Mark has been doing this for many years and knows the market and current trends. I even went back to him to get some of my own pieces evaluated and to get some of my jewelry repaired. I will definitely be going back to him for any future transactions or repair work!

I decided to bring my gold and diamond rings with some of my old silver flatware down to Northwest Gold and Diamond after being referred by friends.Not knowing what to expect I was surprised I was surprised how nice and comfortable their office wasMark and Dean were so nice to us, he went through the testing process of each piece and how much they were worth, then he showed us what to look for while he hand tested each gold and diamond. He also showed us what symbals to look for on our silverware so we could see what more we may have at home.Mark gave us such a great price for our gold and silver, and we had such a great time, we went home with what he showed us to look for more hidden treasures. I had some beautiful gold jewelry that was of tremendous sentimental value to me, but needed to sell. I had been avoiding doing it for months but finally made some appointments to go and see about selling it. I researched for a few weeks and came up with a list of what seemed to be the four most reputable gold buyers in the greater Seattle area and made appointments to visit each of them in one day. I also researched beforehand to see about how much my jewelry weighed and what kind of quality it was. My first appointment of the day was with NW Gold and Diamond in Renton and I am so glad it was. We met with Mark who immediately put us at ease. He was so friendly and personable. His offices were neat, clean, professional and welcoming. He offered us drinks and homemade cookies that his daughter had made. He was warm and friendly and looked professional while still approachable, supporting our Seahawks with a team jersey! (It was the day before the Super Bowl) We immediately felt comfortable and only grew more comfortable as he chatted with us and examined each of my pieces carefully. He explained the process, explained how I could tell the quality of my pieces in the future by looking for stamps on them, explained some of the background of the stamps, and told us exactly what he was doing as he looked under microscopes and weighed the pieces. He explained the daily gold price, how that calculated out for my gold, and what he would offer me. He explained how his own fees broke down and was very transparent about the whole process. His offer was right around what I had been hoping, so that started the day off well. However, I wanted to be thorough, so I asked if I could think about it and come back. He gladly accepted and in fact even suggested that I might look elsewhere to feel comfortable that he was giving me the best offer. The other places I visited that day were mostly fine, although no one else gave me nearly that offer and, more important for me especially in considering the sentimental value of the jewelry, no one else made me feel nearly as comfortable. One place which had been highly rated actually was quite disappointing. My positive experience with Mark early in the day only grew more positive when compared with the other mediocre or even disappointing experiences during the remainder of the day. I happily returned to Mark at the end of the day and feel very pleased with my experience with Northwest Gold and Diamond. When I am ready to sell the rest of my pieces I will be returning there with no need to check other places. Mark at Northwest Gold and Diamond is the best.

I accidently ran across Mark and his company while looking for someone to evaluate some older jewelry pieces I have which were my grandmothers, and Mark spent quality time with me, educating me not only on the stones in the pieces, but the era from which they were most likely from. I found Mark to be SINCERELY interested in educating me, even though he knew I had no intentions on selling the items I was bringing to him to look at. Based on this first experience, I knew I found my jeweler for life. I told him I would be back, and year or so later, I was. We were looking at wedding rings this time, and wanted to see what he had to offer. My fiancée had already put money down at a retailer, but I insisted on going to him before going any further on that purchase or any other, and I am so glad we did!. Marks prior experience in the retail industry truly helped us discover a major jewelry chains $1,600.00 mistake! His education taught us what to look for, and what to ask, and the $1,600 mistake, turned into double the value when we purchased our wedding ring through Mark. I tell everyone I can about him, his character, and the value he provides, not only in the product but in the education as well. I will always look at other jewelers, however, my final purchase will always be with Mark. He can re-create anything, and I have full trust in the value of what he provides us with. I have dealt with a few metal dealers in my years and Mark at NWG&D is by far my favorite. Before I dealt with Mark I tested him, by asking him to weigh a few things for me. I then weighed them myself and it was perfection, right down to the gram on everything. When dealing in metal you truly need to trust the person you are dealing with. Today, I wouldnt go anywhere else. I have bought and sold with Mark and not only does he give you the best deal, he does it with a smile and a wealth of information which he happily shares. I have learned a great deal from him and I will continue to do business with him.

I was given some jewelry from an older family member, mostly broken or outdated gold pieces but a few stones in various settings. I gave a local pawn shop first look and got my second opinion at NW Gold and Diamond. Mark discovered that one small piece was actually 18k vs 14k, the overall quote on the gold was a couple hundred dollars higher, and he let me know that one of the small diamonds was probably from the 1870s! The pawn shop missed what could have been a nearly 150 year old stone handed down within my family. Ill be back with some additional jewelry and to get a custom setting for a couple of the other stones I decided to keep.

Very bad experience here. I trusted Mark Jones due to the reviews online and that was a big mistake on my part. He used eBay auctions to drive down the value of my items. I trusted him and took very little money for what I had. When I got home, I looked at those eBay auctions and they were for items not even similar to what I had.

What a waste of time! If you have diamonds, dont bother bringing them here. Took the bus for a quote on a 7 diamond necklace, and he only gave me a quote for the gold setting and chain. Stopped at a pawn shop on the way home, and they offered more than him. The guy spent less than a minute examining it, making excuses saying low quality, he actually suggested that I sell it on craigslist. When I told him of a previous quote, he mocked me. The pawn shop people took more time examining it than this joker. Overall, unprofessional demeanor, just a scammer with an office and a webpage. DONT WASTE UR TIME HERE! I think these other reviews are fake.

I will never go anywhere else very helpful they will let you know what you have for no cost !!
