If you need a windshield repaired, this is the place to go. Lance did a great job and was very friendly. After putting in the windshield over a year ago it had a small leak, they fixed it no questions asked. Its a great local business.

I decided to use their service because of a few recommendations I got from a Republic FB group.I wont be using their services again.They told me it would take 2 weeks to have the glass replaced in a residential window. I waited and waited and they didnt have it ready to pick up until 6 weeks later.They never kept me updated on what was going on during that time. The only time I got information was when I called them. There were excuses made, which would have been fine if they would have called me to give me updates on what was taking so long. I felt they were very reactive instead of proactive.At one point they told me it should be ready tomorrow-we will call you and didnt hear back or get an update until I called them, after waiting another 2 1/2 weeks.When I got it back it has a fresh break in part of the plastic. About an inch long or so. In a corner. I wasnt told about that either. Chose not to say anything. Honestly, didnt expect them to admit it or take responsibility so just let it go.They definitely need to work on their customer service. Maybe the whole situation was a fluke for them. Every has bad...days...? Either way, wont be using them again. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Although they werent able to fix my windshield he was up front about that and then suggested a different business that could fix it. So I cant speak on their workmanship but as far as integrity theyve got it.

I purchased a completely remodeled home. The owners then hired this company to come install glass in the master bath. Once we moved in we realized the glass was not how it should be. It was out of the bracket. I have two toddlers who would take a bath in this bathroom. I then quit letting them bathe in there for obvious reasons. I called this company back out to fix their work. Before they even came out they were blaming it on the floor settling. After a few phone calls between the previous owner and this company they finally decided to come out and fix it. They put two screws in my ceiling and caulked it. I told them that wasn’t right and wanted them to come out and make it right. Basically they told me it was completely safe and nothing would happen. Just from looking at the caulking you can tell that it’s not completely safe. And thank god I trusted my gut because we are remodeling the master bath and my contractor informed me when then put the screws in the ceiling it was NOT in the studs and the caulking was pointless and did nothing but fill a gap between the bracket and the ceiling! Had my kids tripped or even pushed on this glass it would have fallen over! This could have KILLED my kids easily!!! I will NEVER USE this company! I will be taking this to the BBB and making sure everyone knows about this! This was NOT right! You don’t do this to people! Could you imagine if my kids would have gotten hurt?!

On a road trip, our 40 motorcoach was hit by a rock and cracked our windshield. The windshield weighs over 250lbs. Not everyone is equipped to change that size windshield. Republic Glass did a great job. They kept us informed on the shipping of the new windshield and on the process of the changing of the damaged windshield.I highly recommend Republic Glass.I will use them again.

Customer service was great when I called but when the glass was in they did not call me I had to call them and then I was told my window would be fixed in an hour and 2 hours later my husband called up there and our window had been done.

Super friendly. I went in there for two pieces glass to replace glass in a cabinet door. They fixed me right up.

We had a mirror installed in our bathroom 2 weeks ago. They put shims under it to hold it in place while the glue dried. They said to take them out after a week, so I did. A couple hours later I go in and the mirror slid down (it’s 5 feet wide, by the way) on the wall. So, we scramble to get it back into place and put wood back under there to hold it in place. I call the next morning to tell them. The owner gets my information and says he needs to ask the guy that installed it if he used the right glue (black mastic) and would call me right back. That was last Thursday. I didn’t receive a call back, so I called on Friday multiple times and didn’t get an answer. I called back Monday and finally got ahold of them again. He tells me he can have someone come out on Wednesday morning... as if there is zero urgency about a 5 foot mirror falling in someone’s house. So, my beautiful bride sets an alarm on Wednesday and waits around all morning and nobody shows up. I start calling and she’s calling, too. Nobody is answering. I finally get someone and he says “I’m sorry, we got a little backed up because of an emergency in Aurora” to which I replied “I understand that, but our mirror falling down is a bit of an emergency, too”. He tells me he will call me at 8:00 AM sharp on Thursday (yesterday) to schedule a time to come out. 8:15 arrives and I call him. He says he can have someone here in an hour. They actually showed up at that time. They get there and spend some time on it and leave. An hour later an angry beautiful bride calls me and says “you’re not going to be happy, because I’m not happy!” because the mirror had fallen an inch already. By the way, they took the wood out from under it and said “it’s secure. It’s not going anywhere” even though previously it needed to be there for a week. I call them AGAIN to have them come out AGAIN and fix it. They send them right out and this time they put clips under it. Why they didn’t do that from the beginning is beyond us. Also- remember the black mastic? Zero of it. All clear silicone. ZERO apologies.

I called this shop this morning to inquire on the differences in glass and acrylic, price, strength and so on. The older gentleman while not rude was very dismissive and extremely short. I feel if you are in the service industry you should answer questions fully and give the attention needed to a paying customer, not say I have another call coming in and hang up. Maybe its not a whole store front a thousand dollar order but it was a solid 200 job that I will now be taking elsewhere. Thank you kind sir for making my glass hunt much easier. I wouldnt recommend your store

After they received the shower door from the manufacturer, they were available to install the next business day! Unprofessional and very rude. (The Thugs Of Glass Repair )Im not usually one to leave bad reviews but the hole experience with this company has prompted me to warn future customers out there. This company did a simple repair at our store in Republic its a very easy and common repair I have had the same repair done at several other locations in Springfield by another company at half the cost. Only reason I went with Republic glass was because the other company was backed up that day wish I would have waited... Its not even that the cost was double it was the terrible customer service I was told the repair would be done SAME DAY after a gentleman came out and gave us a estimate. I agreed to service fast forward a day and half and it still wasnt done. Two days later they finally showed up to fix the door.I had already spoken with the company about sending a invoice to my office since Im usually not on site never got one sent to my office instead they showed up to the store front demanding payment from my clerks stating it would be a real shame for them to have to pull the door off the hinges....

Lance is, and always has been great to work with! I approached them with something we were trying to complete with a charity, and they offered to donate the glass unsolicited. Good people, good place!

This company knows nothing of residential glass or how to run a business with proper customer service. When a customer discusses in detail what they would like done for an expensive shower door installation in a very nice home, it would be thought that a Glass company would at least try and hit the mark agreed upon, and if it wasnt even close the company would at least try and make things right for the customer by working with them to remedy their wants and needs. That is not the case with Republic Glass. They had one job, to order and install a framless, sliding, all glass shower door. Republuc Glass ordered and installed a framed door that looks like it belongs in a trailer house, cheap light weight metal framing and cheap hardware including a bulky awkward handle. When the installation was complete the discussion was closed by the owner to fix it remedy their mistake, didnt even want to work with the customer on accepting at least some responsibility for the, what the owner called, a miscommunication.... Well if its a miscommunication then you fix the problem, period.The owner has accepted that it wasnt what the customer wanted in their home and now refuses to ANYTHING about it, telling the customer cant do anything about it now because the glass is temperedHere is an idea, ORDER THE PROPER PRODUCT AND INSTALL IT.The owner sure cashed the customers check and accepted the payment, now needs accept that it isnt at all what was agreed upon and needs to fix it for the customer who only wanted to support a small local business vs. the big box stores.

I cant rate the company or the work. This is due to not getting that far. I called and spoke with a female receptionist. She was rude and not helpful. I asked her what I thought was a simple question and she gave me a rude response and tried to make me feel dumb. I am no window expert and she wanted to make that clear to me. Due to this experience I took my business elsewhere.
