Home Depot Reston is just like any other. Good access in/out. Use the app to find the stuff you need (aisle +bay). Nothing to talk about in that mall except the Exxon. Why? Forget the gas. The Exxon is about the only place around to find Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches. If you do not know, what those are, Google them. Worth the trip to Home Depot.
Looking for a small, prepared bag of potting soil -- not a specialty plant soil but an all purpose soil mix. There was not one in the store! There were some very large bags but I only need a small one. Maybe its a seasonal thing. Just know even though you spend a lot of time looking for an item they often have, it may not be there.
You can find anything you need here but YOU have to be able to find it. There are no employees to be found… if you need someone, you really need to search around. The employees will only provide help if you’re in their designated section so when you finally find someone, they usually can’t help you. The store is well-organized, parking is easy, location is convenient.
Good morning 🇺🇸! Love ❤️ you America 🇺🇸 ! Happy Birthday to just Tatiana. I get no birthday cards, except from Ken, and I get no gifts 🎁 . Growing up, my parents couldn’t afford any gifts and they didn’t care about my birthday, except small cake 🍰 . I kept it this way all my life. I said to myself. I will not have any gifts for my birthday and Christmas 🎄. So. This morning because my sink leaks in the kitchen, headed to #HomeDepot to get new one, thx HD. #Tatiana
The only thing this place has going for it is location convenience. I can’t count how many times their systems have been down… staff seem bewildered when you ask them anything and the store is a perpetual mess.I instantly regret every time I stop here for what should be a quick pick up or something I need only for it to be a train wreck.Tried buying a bbq from the front displays and it took three staff and 45 mins just to find the key to unlock.Zero stars if I could.
DO NOT USE STORE DELIVERY!!! Service announcement to prevent others the pain I experienced - I paid extra to have my delivery scheduled for a 4-hour window. I arrived home a half hour before the start to find my pallet of 500+ lbs delivered, to the neighbors door, and on the wrong side of the house. I never got a phone call as promised in their delivery agreement, and when I called the Reston Home Depot their manager was in the bathroom. I left a number but never received a return call. Ended up breaking down 500+ lbs of material and hand-carrying it around two houses to the correct location myself. Do NOT use this service, and be wary of any store service at their Reston location.
I never really write reviews, but I received such incredible service from a gentleman named Mason who exceeded my expectations shopping at home depot. Originally, I was asking for help and employees in the facility was sending me on a goose chase, or didnt want to help at all. I finally found Mason, and he went above and beyond in choosing the quality of wood, and helped cut the dimensions needed for the project. He displayed hard work ethic, professionalism, and was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. This man truly deserves an on spot raise or promotion. It is extremely hard now these days to find employees that want to work in this post COVID environment, and having such a valuable asset to your team should be recognized. Give this man a promotion, and your facility will be 10x more efficient. Thanks again for your hardwork Mason!!
Went in to buy a attic exhaust fan. Website said you had four in stock. Got the run around from employees. Nobody really wanted to help. Im from Richmond visiting here. Ive been to this store 2 other times and its always poor customer service. I usually shop at HD but while Im here I will always go to lowes. You guys are the worst.
I was able to find what I was after. Tools isle was looking a little thin.
Used to get more help picking out parts. Supply issues not their fault but make it difficult to get parts to finish a project.
As of today, I will not longer shop here and instead go to the Cascades Home Depot or the Dulles Lowes. The last several visits to this HD have been very disappointing with inadequate inventory, aisles in disarray, and Pro Customer Service folks who appear clueless or indifferent. Today I went in search of driveway crack sealer. I was told by 2 different folks to look on aisle 22. When I finally asked them if they showed it to be in stock, they said oops. we have it at Sterling.
Don’t trust Home Depot for truck rentals. You’re better off at uhaul or literally anywhere else. Lack of communication from management to employees regarding corporate policy has resulted in four major miscommunications regarding whether or not they can be reserved in advance. I’ve been told they do not reserve and give trucks out on a first-come-first-serve basis, only to arrive and discover another person was able to reserve in advance on three occasions now. Inaccurate stock depictions on website only further added to my disappointment. Unless you’re willing to chance it and continue to call until someone concedes to reserve you a truck in advance (which I’ve been informed is officially their policy), you’re better off hand carrying whatever you’re intending on hauling.
HD is great place of course, and the staff here is helpful in every way they can, in my experience. I suggest a little research before you go to any HD. Check if they have the items you looking for in any of their aisles. There is information on Home Depot website or the app. It’s a time saver. I never had issues with returns and refunds. I recommend this location.
A decent Home Depot. One of the larger, more modern formats, and thus virtually impossible to find anything without help. Despite its size, I have not found what I wanted in the last two trips - nothing exotic - and had to go on line to order one delivered and to Lowes for the other. FYI: The garden center has fewer plant selections than Lowes, but prices are competitive.
This location always has a great selection and great customer service.
Curbside order pickup - moving boxes. The person that delivered it to my car was courteous and friendly but realized when I got home that the boxes were torn up. Couldn’t use some of them because the flaps were ripped. Should pay attention to the quality of product you’re handing the customer.
Love the store - hate the parking lot. Also, they just rearranged a bunch of the aisles so things may not be where you remember them to be.
Looks small but packed pretty nice home depot
Came in for flooring and was helped by Andrew. He was polite and answered all my questions. Thanks so much Andrew and HD! :-) I will definitely be back.
A good outlet with assisting staff going out of way to satisfy customers
This is the worst home depot Ive ever been to. If you absolutely have to stop there dont expect much help finding anything and be prepared to have to fight to get to what you can find because the isles are always cluttered.
My dream renovation was to renovate our kitchen and we finally decided to do so with Home Depot. Boy did we regret that decision after we experienced service/product failure over and over again. We should’ve just gone with the cheaper “under the table” guys! Extremely disappointed and would not recommend.
Worst customer service Ive ever experienced in a home depot. - workers walking around without uniforms on, workers without uniforms behind the appliance section desk...when I asked for help was rudely turned away and told Im not on the clock right now..I only helped the last customer because I did not want to turn her away...if youre not on the clock dont be behind the desk and get upset if another customer ask for help.No microwaves in stock yet youve got displays up.No help at all. When I went to another isle and asked an associate for help they said I dont work in that department mayne...Ok, can you find someone that does who can assist me? Think a littleWorst experience
The cell signal from the parking lot is great, which comes in handy because theres no internet inside the store (even on the free WiFi) so when you need to remind yourself what materials you need for a project, just go back to your car and order it from somewhere else.
One visit here was enough for me. Some areas are poorly organized, and inventory in-store doesn’t match online. Plus, it’s in a difficult location and the parking lot is a bit unusual. YMMV. Staff were incredibly nice though!
Staff are very helpful when you can find them. Unfortunately, sometimes it’s tough finding someone to help you and you end up waiting for 30-60 minutes.
They have a great selection of anything hardware or building material.
Bright, clean, and busy. Staff helpful and wearing masks.
I came here to pick up a order that was on hold from an online order, and the pick up process was very smooth. I walked right up to the customer service place in the front, they asked my name, and I confirmed my order. The store is otherwise like most other Home Depots, except I found there to be an outstanding selection of plants for one. I found there to be different species of palms I’ve never seen previously for sale in this part of Virginia before, as well as a good selection of annuals. I would highly recommend a visit, though even in the middle of the week midday, it was pretty crowded, so be aware of that. Cheers.
As a plant collector I don’t find this store is set up for houseplants every time I go in there. There is never anything new that the other stores get like the trending Tropicals lined from exotic angel I definitely think the garden manger should work on the house plant section because it really needs a lot of help most plants are dead or not I’m good condition I just really hope in the future they get better house plants shipments because I shop a lot at Home Depot and this definitely needs a lot of help with indoors houseplants selection
Home Depot had what I was looking for. The employees were helpful in helping me find what I needed. Convenient location.
Went in to purchase a Weber Grill that online confirmed they had 6 available for the model I was looking for. It took over an hour. Couldnt find anyone to help so went to the contractors desk & they paged for help. 10 mins later, I had them page for help again. A staff member showed up & proceeded to take me outside where they were all bunched together & he had trouble seeing the model type. He eventually confirmed it wasnt there & he would check another spot in the back. Waited about 20 mins & he came back & confirmed they werent there either. He went back to the floor model to find the SKU# which it didnt have. He looked on the computer for a while & final came back & just started looking around. He eventually found them sitting off to the side in a back section of the store. And.....it wasnt put together. Assembly is free, but I decided I wasnt coming back to this store again, so I took it unassembled. They should have provided a discount. While waiting in line to check out I asked an associate to get the Manager, Eli. I even waited an extra 15 minutes for him & he never showed up. This store us so unorganized & poorly managed. I would recommend Lowes or the Home Depot in Sterling, VA. DONT GO TO RESTON HOME DEPOT!!
We were helped today by a very friendly and super amicable team member. Very nice to see that there are still few employees that are that attentive like Mike. He also goes by Mr magoo. Oir quick stop to Home depot became a really nice experience as if we were in Texas !!!!
You need to hire new managers with more education
They got plants out for sale but none has any prices written. Now go find someone willing to come out and give you prices. And wood prices gone sky high. A $2.00 2x4 is $12.00+ a piece. Did the trees get covid also?
Well stocked and helpful associates providing assistance lead to great success in finding what I want here. Fair prices with military discount provides value. My go-to place.
Helpful Accurate Staff everytime I go there.
I just came from this Home Depot this morning. It was 7:00 am, and I had a hard time finding a CLEAN parking space after drive through a confetti of mutilated litter/ food items all over the lot and adjacent grass areas. Was so disgusted that I lost my appetite for today, never coming here again!
I had an excellent employee interaction today at this store at about noon Jan 30.A wonderful greeter in a long white knitted sweater was very friendly and took a moment to jump on a computer and get my kohler toilet online order rolling up from the back of the store. Then she stepped right back into welcoming customers as they passed. And she wrote a nice note on my receipt too. She was sort of coordinating activities in that area of the storeA very pleasant person :)
I usually visit the Home Depot in Ashburn, and have nothing but glowing reviews for them. This was a far cry from the service Ive enjoyed at Ashburn.I was the only one in line at the online pickup/returns counter. Six associates stood behind the line chatting for nearly 5 minutes before I finally interrupted. After being handed by order, I stood there awkwardly for a few minutes thinking they were maybe printing out something for me to sign. I finally asked if I needed to sign anything, to a slightly annoyed response of No that was it.I went to the other side and picked up a 12ft piece of lumber, hoping that someone would be able to cut it into a couple of boards. No one was back at the machine, however several associated walked by. They would glance up and then keep walking, a few gave annoyed looks. After around 5 minutes, we asked someone up front to call over the intercom for assistance; which did go out. 15 minutes later, we asked again and waited, no call came and no assistance came. After waiting for 25 MINUTES, in a store packed with associates and only a handful of customers, we finally left.Fast forward to driving home with a 12 foot board sticking out of a Ford Fusion, and me holding onto it with one arm while driving. Extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service at this location, and the attitude from associates.
This is the busiest Homedepot I’ve ever been to. Not my favorite, but if I manage to go on a weekday it’s better. The people are super helpful!
We were looking for a paint mixture and found the exact color for our interior walls in our new home.
Always 5 Stars. Never had an issue, and they stock stuff I can never seem seem to find at Lowes.
Most of the employees have a great attitude but last time I was there an employee seemed annoyed that I asked him where something was. If you dont have a good attitude in a retail environment you probably shouldnt go to work or work in retail. I think management needs to re-assess their employee attitudes.
Good shopping experience. Items easy to find. Fast self checkout
I don’t ever post reviews but feel I have to after my most recent experience. I ordered a few pieces of lumber and plywood for pickup that ended up being misplaced. After waiting for some time to get my items, it was clear that they’d need to be repicked. Instead of making me wait longer, the manager approached me and promised to deliver my items directly to my home whenever I needed them (which was the next morning). He was there first thing the next morning. He went above and beyond to correct my order and his staff even called me in advance to make sure it was okay. This exemplary customer service deserves to be called out publicly. Thank you so much!
The parking lot is too small. Dont go on the weekend. Especially Saturday midday.
I had a very nice gentleman that really helped me and a nice lady checked me .
Disorganized, sloppy, and understaffed online order pickup system at this store. Wish they could get it together.
Bad service like home depot in dc.you cant find what you need either .
They don’t know how to organize the materials in proper racks and blaming customers. Manger is so irresponsible and not listening to customers feedback.
AJ in the kitchen design department was fantastic. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. If you’re thinking about re-designing your kitchen, start with him.
The staff was helpful with finding things. The store had everything that I went for, so no extra trips for me.
Customer service is great except for the Black guy who was standing around and giving me attitude. I am Black btw.
Very friendly staff. Parking lot is crowded. Recommend parking further out and walking longer.
Poor customer service. Waited an hour and 15 minutes to talk to a manager about an installation.
When you consider that many of the vehicles that come to this location on a regular basis are large trucks you would think the spaces outside would be designed to accommodate those vehicles. The lot is insanely tight and a recipe for a mess.
Shower faucet broke so I went in to get some help on what I needed to have it fixed. Shawn not only took the time to explain me how to fix it but saved me money by offering an alternative solution to buying a whole new faucet set. Extremely pleased with the willingness to help, attention and how knowledgeable staff is.
Am so happy to shop from reston home depot because of the employee hes name is Hasan on plumbing associate .
While I was looking around clueless there comes the super hero without the cape. ROYCE was his name. Our bed broke previous day and I needed 6 pieces pf wood 6 inch each. Royce came and found me looking around and cut me 6 pieces from left over wood. The men was like the sun lights during a cloudy day. If you are reading this Royce i will alwqys remember that day and how kind and good humanity can be. THANK YOU.
Home Depot has the worst delivery system. I ordered step 2 sand for my patio and had it scheduled for a Saturday they never came. So I called and they said they had the wrong van and couldn’t deliver it until 2 weeks later. I cancelled it and went to Lowe’s and put bags of sand in my vehicle and unloaded it myself. Then I was waiting for the actual patio pavers and they couldn’t find the order but did and scheduled a delivery date and still no pavers
Difficult to find the help in some of the aisles. Looks like Home depot has stopped hiring people who can help because the one I ran into almost felt beneath his station to help and prompted with such curt response that I had to turn back and return.
Tim Rooney in Plumbing is absolutely THE MAN!! I needed what ended up essentially being a custom pipe order and he cut/threaded my entire order to perfection. Right in the middle of his shift as well!!
We needed a washing machine quickly and help deciding the best one for our needs. John in the appliance department answered all of our questions and knew a great deal of information about the various washers and dryers. I had a 10%off coupon as well and he went above and beyond to make sure we could redeem it then. John was polite, organized, patient and determined to get our sale handled while he was barraged by sales reps, PA calls, and other customers who just couldnt wait for his help. Very 8mpressed by Johns calm demeanor and excellent care in helping us from start to finish! This man should be rewarded somehow.
Kathy gets an A+ went above and beyond with helping me with my Penske truck rental.
Michael in Hardware was a gent. He was able to help me with my key order and was speedy and considerate. Would absolutely go to him for any future key making needs.
The kids workshop is so much fun. They have detailed instructions. All the wooden parts are pre cut. They provide the required tools as well. They provide aprons, pins and a certificate of completion. Kids just love this event. The event is based on the season. In February, we made a valentines candy box.
If you know what you are looking for. Even vaguely, the workers can help you find it. I got everything I needed quickly thanks to the employees
Just had the worst experience at curbside pickup... after waiting on hold for 15 min.. I finally went inside only to wait another 10mins.. yo be told I have check in on the app..I did that went to my car an waited mire.. went back in the store.. and the clerk tells me to wait as she is training someone by processing my order...I told the clerk how long i had waiting and the sign needs to be changed that tell you to call inside the store.. NOT checkin online..she says rudely l.. I cant change that talk to a manager. I told her you seevtjevsigb is not correct and you work here why havent you said anything Lazy people!
Their staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. I got a small $2 hose washer and the staff patiently help me to pick the right one. Thanks.
Zero stars for in store service. We asked for measurements for carpet installation, did as told, once we placed the order I was told by the person taking the order to go into the store to apply a promo code, in the store waited more than 30mins inspite of paging for someone to get help. You guys really need to do more online order processing and NOT ask people to go into the store to fix orders during a pandemic!! Terrible service. Will never deal this store again.
I came there to return a new item with a receipt, they said the system could not find it or the order number. The associate there gave me store credit even though I just wanted a refund due to the system malfunctioning, neglecting to mention that it can only be redeemed in store. The items I was planning on getting were online only, which I only found out when I got home that I could not use the store credit. Called the manager, he was extremely rude and said hes not going to do anything about it. So now Im going to have to drive 30 min out of my way to order an online order in store bc a manager wont do his job and an associate was too lazy to get a manager in the first place.
Home depot in Reston is a great spot for any home improvement projects big or small have been coming here for years, always find what I need.
I have been to the Reston Home Depot twice and each time the service was amazing. I was helped by the security guard Ira and am employee named Alex who helped me load my grill into the car. I could not have done it without them. I was also helped by an employee in plumbing today who taught me how to fix a leak in my sink! Thanks so much!!
Store needs to be badly organized and cleaned up. More knowledgeable staff would help.
They’re not enforcing their mask policy. I witnessed four employees and multiple customers not adhering to the policy. One employee with his nose hanging out, two with masks around their chin, and one without a mask entirely. Regardless of whether they were going on or coming off break, they should absolutely be wearing masks inside the store. Never going back.
Helpful friendly staff!
Dont waste your time! This is the most unorganized, unhelpful home depot Ive ever been too. There are misplaced items everywhere, carts blocking aisles and shelves, and slow staff who usually know less about where items are than you do. Ive resorted to looking up the item on the web and getting the aisle and bay number myself. It works better, when it is in the right place. This last time I was looking for an item that this store supposedly had 478 of in stock, but after excessive searching in said aisle and bay, I gave up and found a staff member who told me they didnt have what I was looking for. So Im off to Amazon... Get it together Home Depot!
I deleted my previous review just now, because I thought Home Depot had fully changed, and its not totally like that. Before Christmas our fridge with freezer broke down, and we searched for a new one. We found one and we purchased on line at Home Depot. We knew that the delivery would be not fast due to the Holidays so we accepted their delivery time. While depending on ice and coolers the days passed. In the mean time we called to re assured delivery and entirety of the purchase=fridge+installation+ice maker (paid) installation too+ haul out +change side of opening of doors+ ...everything they asked for.The assurance had to go to one after another customer service representative, transferring our call, to finally had a okay. When the delivery day arrived, these first 4 people were very nice, but the fridge had a dent in the middle of the freezers door. They have in place a program that it really surprised me: left the dented one until a replacement (A+ there). While they were installing only the fridge, a call was made to Home Depot at the number told by another chain of customer service attendants. Finally a lady who knew, figured out (you have to explain over and over=lack of training and coordination, missing policies and procedures!)Price, fridge, installation, ice maker, haul out, all ..fridge checked oh! something missing something to pay...paid, checked. Done? Replacement issued, 7 days for delivery. No reimbursement for lost wages, no apology, but the last lady as I said knew= Hope grew again.Delivery day again!!!! Delivery people & installers, only 2 vs 4, but not same good attitude.Oh no! Ice maker dont fit for this fridge. Wrong ice maker, bought and brought by same Home Depot with first dented and same brand fridge purchased. Wrong!!!! And we are at day #...blood pressure reaching high levels. Calling again! Customer service man dont understand what was going on = so many things, impossible to follow ... explaining + explaining...the person seemed to understand. Ah oh! Yes the guys there, THEY had to return to store the ice maker. Installer said No! Customer service said: I cannot refund you, the $ of ice maker and installationyou have to return to the store fantastic! Lost wages, no apologies, no solution, no knowledge, chaos and yet I dont get my money back!We do have our fridge though, but at what price! No compensation for my losses, our high blood pressure, my nice and kind behavior towards one of The worst nightmare experienced in my life time for buying a fridge. And the ordeal will continue the day that I will go to return the ice maker and will have to explain everything again! Holly moly!Home Depot, is a fiasco in on line purchases and customer service. Please be alert and warned of danger to your health, time, money, trust, and more...can occur if you buy in good faith and trust, at Home Depot.Good luck! Your life is no joke, think about that beforehand. Good luck again!
I put my order on 7/2 and paid the full amount, over $5000.It showed on the invoice the estimate delivery date was 8/1.I called to check the order status on 7/30, and I was told it wont arrive till 8/24.What I want to say is, I never received any notice about this delay. If I didnt call to check, I would never know anything about the delay. Now I have problem with the working schedule of my contractor.I tried to find out what was going on by calling the store. One of the staffs I talked to answered me what you want now?Another staff screaming at me, didnt even let me finish my talking. The rest of two staffs didnt help either.I went to the store myself and talked to one of the managers. He promised me he would send me an email to explain his investigation about this issue but he never did.God! I wish there is another big hardware store that I can buy stuff for my home project.Home Depot is one of the very few major sources we can buy the stuff we need. Therefore, they can talk to customers like a king talking to the slaves.I can be fully responsible for the story I told.If Home Depot dont like my story, they can check the telephone conversation recording happened around 8:30 AM on 7/30.
Returned items bought online with no problems, in and out in 5 minutes. Pleasant experience. Unlike the competition.
Bought on line, picked up at store, customer service is great. Staff is helpful. Prices are fair.
Good selection for home products.
Chantelle helped us at curbside pick up and she honestly made the experience very pleasant. She was extremely polite and was considerate of our time.
Want to give a shoutout to Antoine who gave me superb customer service while buying blinds for my house. He really went above and beyond to make sure I have all my 28 blinds in right size and delivered absolutely on time. I have been to other HomeDepots but Reston is miles ahead in terms of Customer services.
I would like to thank Blanca and Cecil for the excellent service they provided me on Sept. 2nd I was trying to order an appliance online and applied to the credit card so I needed to go directly to the store to complete my purchase Blanca was at the customer service and she helped me with the credit card information, then I asked her if someone from appliances can help me with the purchase she asked Cecil who was around and he was willing to help Blanca to order it for m, both were exceptional I can truly see the team work and the great customer service Home Depot gives to their customers, keep it up I will continue to make my purchases there. Thank you!
Though staff are helpful and friendly, not all of them were wearing masks. In addition, there were many customers in the store without masks, despite the sign requiring customers to wear them. They have separate and cross-crossed lines for purchase and returns ... there’s no way to keep people at a 6-foot distance based on how they’ve configured the store.
As much as I love home depot I really dread going to this one. Parking is dreadful comparatively to other home good stores. I usually end up driving to a different HD or go to Lowes.
Well, they had everything I needed that day.
Average Home Depot. Customer service folks are pretty helpful
This is a good store, you just cant find a staff for help.
Not bad. Has everything you need for home repair and remodeling, but a bit dirty and disorganized looking inside.
I went to 2 different home depot stores 10 miles apart looking for a simple 20 amp microwave fuse and both stores were out even though the online app said they had them in stock now Im going to Lowes
Did a curbside pickup of something I bought online. Quick and safe.
Doesnt compare to a normal home depot. Its way smaller and inventory is slightly smaller as well as the store feels cramped. But thats reston. Overall theyre the best hardware store around.
