Very impressed with Robert’s punctuality at our appointment; very helpful in explaining the entire process and what to expect. Ruth was AWESOME in keeping me up to date with crew arrivals and even were able to start a day early. My 15 year old fence looks great and I would recommend Fence Makeovers to my friends and neighbors.

We just had our fence completely refreshed and repainted by Fence Makeovers. We picked the Harbor Grey which was a small up charge. Colton came on time...gave a detailed quote. Ruth was very nice on the phone and the work took two days....granted one side of our fence is longer than most peoples whole back yard. I specifically asked this company if they would repair a portion of my PINE fence, and it was no issue over the phone, but when they came out they said they only do cedar. If you are a fence REPAIR company, you should really be willing to use the same material that they already have. And more importantly, make sure your entire staff is on the same page so you don’t waste people’s time.

Very disappointed!! Not a fence makeover. If all you want is to paint your fence AS-IS, they may do a decent job. If you need any type of repair or very simple fixes or prep, you better make sure everything is on the quote. Even something as simple as hammering in loose nails. Believe it or not, you have to actually ask for that and will be charged for it. They even just painted over some leaves piled at the base of the fence that would have taken a minute to clear away. Our fence needed, and we paid for, wire brushing of the old paint. They did not brush at all and then said, “well the crew said they did it”. They got behind on jobs due to the rain, which I fully understand, but when they did get here I feel like they rushed to get done and the overall job was very sloppy and way overpriced for what we ended up with. We did end up getting a partial credit for the wire brushing that they did not do at all and there is no good way to really fix this after it has already been painted. Not a good experience.

Ruth is the best! They worked with our schedule even with all the rain. We saved a ton of money on just restoring our fence and having it re-stained. Quick and easy process. Could not recommend enough!

Please read the other reviews before using this company! They promise a one day turnaround time. I had an appointment scheduled for last Thursday that was pushed to Friday, then Monday and then today. Its after 6 p.m. and no one has showed up. How they are supposed to complete the job with diminished light is beyond me. When I called and asked if I should hire another company she told me I could do what I want. I do understand that the weather is out of their control but Monday and Tuesday has been sunny and calm. I think they say its the weather because they overbook.

I hired Fence Makeovers to stain 2,580 square feet of fence. The fence is two years so it needed to be cleaned and re-stained to cover up the weathering and sprinkler marks. They arrived on-time and did a great job. There was no stain on the bricks where the fence meets the house and all the gate hardware and fence poles were wiped down. I am very please with the quality of the work and my fence looks new again.

This is our second time using Fence Makeovers services! I love their customer support lady Ruth, she is always notifies over changes, if the weather does not permits to perform scheduled services. The workers always on time, working clean and picking up everything after themselves. I highly recommend to use this company for staining your fence. When the work was finished, we were asked to review the outcome. I pointed out a couple of issues anticipating that they would take care of them. Otherwise, why would they ask? How naive I am.... they wanted additional money to fix the issues. Two different amounts of money, one from the salesman and another from the owner. About a $400 difference. This company could care less about the customer. It’s all about a quick buck! I wouldn’t recommend Fence Makeovers to anyone! I would rate at a zero but can only go as low as 1.

This was the second time we had our fence stained by Fence Makeovers. Honestly, Im surprised at the negative reviews that suggest that Fence Makeovers was unprofessional and sloppy.The process for getting our fence stained was reasonable. The quote was $300. less than everyone else. Scheduling revolved around me not them. They masked off my pool and cleaned up their mess. Touch ups wasnt a problem. Communication was a little dicey because it was during the Thanksgiving holiday break.They were upfront and honest about our fence. They explained that certain areas wouldnt stain evenly, like water stains from the sprinkler, hail damage and new wood for the retaining wall. The end result was beautiful considering all the obstacles. Fence Makeovers definitely met my high expectations, gladly give them Five Stars and highly recommend that you at least ask for a quote!

My fence had several broken boards, gray, sun damaged just plain ugly! Now it looks brand new!! It looks so good!

They had a very reasonable price, were very efficient.I think my fence looks greatIm surprised about the negative reviews.There was one delay will due to the rain, which no one can help the rain and they even phoned me to let me know they couldnt clean and stain in the rain. I totally knew that and didnt even expect a phone call so that was a nice surprise that they were very communicative.

I was a little concerned reading other reviews, but I had a great experience with them. The price was better than all the other quotes, and they did an awesome job cleaning and staining our fence. Also, they were great communicating to us about the date and time they were coming out to do the work.We had rain the day they came to clean so they could not stain (only clean). The following day it was too windy to stain, but I got a call both times explaining the situation which is all I can ask for! Highly recommend!

We had a great experience with this team. Robert was our guy has kept our fence going almost 7 years with repairs and one refinish job. I highly recommend them if you don’t have the budget or need for a replacement fence.

Good but expensive

Colton was great! He walked me through exactly what my options were, was very honest, extremely thorough as well. He even suggested some tips that would save me money and still accomplish my goals. Not sure why others have rated these guys lower. But, we have had a great experience with them and highly recommend them to others!!

Everything seemed promising - they came out and bid the job, price was good and they seemed professional - I scheduled the job well in advance (scheduled for 4/14/17 way back in late February). I called the morning of 4/13/17 - only to find out they did not have me scheduled. The earliest they could fit me in is May - that does not work. I prepped, moved basketball goal, covered patio furniture, made arrangements to be home - all for nothing.Major ball drop on their part - they failed!

Horrible service. Ruth was rude on the phone. Salesperson smelled like beer when they came to measure property line (after running 25 minutes late for appointment). Never received quote. When I called, weeks later, the response was sassy and unapologetic. Not how to run a business.

Well my salesman said that my fence staining job is so big that it will be the only job scheduled for the day. Strike one they did not get here at all on the scheduled day. Called and they scheduled 4 jobs including mine. They have not communicated their mistake with me at all. I took the day off to make sure I was here when they starting working. Its a trust thing, and now they have not even showed up it is 5:20pm now. I will post a follow up once they do the work. It is not starting off good at all. What is it with companies that think they are doing us a favor instead of giving customer service. A phone call is usually all it takes to communicate...Stay tuned for the final results.Worked did finally show up and told me that he had been scheduled to complete 10 jobs. This is another case of someone owning a company and not caring about the employees. Sad situation. The end result of the work was very good. So overall I am satisfied with the work the worker did, not the communication from the company.

After the Wylie Hail Storm, had several fence companies look at my fence (4 Rail fence covering an acre of land. They worked with us in restoring our 20 year old fence. They straighten one entire side of the fence (ground shifts here in Texas), replaced post and boards, and painted both sides. (We walked the fence and we all determine which boards and post to replace prior to contract.) We anticipated them taking at least 2 days, maybe 3, since we have done similar work ourselves. They completed the job in one day, did not exceed the contract price and our fence looks new.

One star because zero isnt an option. I wish I would have read reviews FIRST. HEADS UP ...cleaning means five minutes of spraying bleach - no cleaning at all. Office lady said everyone has different definitions of cleaning. SUCH A JOKE and a waste of money. Likely why they have three stars.

Fantastic work. They water PSId cleaned, primed, and painted my fence. I did not have to be at home. Furthermore, the crew put in a new mailbox which included painting the 4 x 4 post. 5 Big Stars

Overselling and under delivering . . . I had work done in August of 2015. They replaced three broken posts, and the salesman said they would reset any posts that were compromised. I was charged for several resettings, but actually all they did was top existing concrete around the post with more concrete. None of the runners were replaced, repaired, or screwed or nailed down. When they left, there was stain on my windows, lights, patio, driveway, and garage door opener, yet very little of the top of the fence was even stained. They left concrete all over my driveway. Ultimately, I sent nearly 30 photos to the office and asked them to send someone who speaks English to discuss the situation. The salesman came to the house at 7 am and argued with me on every point, but they did clean up the stain and concrete. Now, less than a year later, the posts they supposedly reset are broken and Im having to have more work done. I highly recommend not letting this company on your property.

If I could give a negative star I would. I scheduled an appointment via email with Ruth for 4:30. They showed up at 3:50 and left because I wasnt home yet. When I called to ask why they left when my apt wasnt til 4:30 (I got home at 4:26) she tried to say my apt was at 4. I forwarded her the email she sent me confirming a 4:30 apt. Her response was that she didnt have a phone number for me so they couldnt contact me and that they dont communicate via email. When I pointed out that clearly they do because I have a series of emails in which she communicated with me, including offering me a 4:30 apt time, she replied that they dont anymore. So in the last week you as a company have decided not to communicate via email? Odd.. Would I like to reschedule...ummmm No!

Poor customer service, poor performance and the price wasn’t cheap. Would never recommend it. I gave one star because there’s no option for 0.

Estimator did not communicate with the work crew and did not carry out services as they were discussed. Crew did a less than satisfactory job. Lady behind the phone was rude. They fixed the issues after I caught them and complained but overall a very poor experience.

This is by far one of the worst companies my family and I have dealt with. Our fence was slightly tilting over, so we called them to have it fixed. Once they fixed the fence’s tilt, they managed to break the joint connecting our fence. I called to have the joint fixed, but they denied everything. Ruth (I think that’s her name) was demeaning when she talked to me on the phone, and Robert was loud and terrible when he came to my house to check out the fence. Instead of hearing out my argument, both decided to basically shout/yell when speaking to me although I was calmingly asking to fix the problem.If you don’t want a headache or have to pay excess for this company’s damage to your property, I highly suggest you find someone else.

All started off with sales guy who showed up an hour early and did not call or text that he was running ahead of schedule. Then, the office lady would call and crew would not show when she said they would. Then, they show up and do not let me know they are here or finished. They flew thru the process and missed 25 of fence and other areas had light coverage. Very disorganized and are all in to speed and not quality. Was supposed to leave extra stain behind and did not. Price was ok but the service was poor. I would choose someone else if I had to do it over again.

Guys I dont know if they are doing a good job or not but for sure they are overly expensive. $9000 for that small job, no way

I recently had my fence restored by Fence Makeovers. There were some aspects that I believe could have been handled a bit better from their part. Upon completion of the project, there was little to no cleanup and I was pretty shocked to discover the amount of nails and debris the crew left behind in my yard as well as the drive way. The salesman missed an obvious post from the initial estimate that need to be replaced and, once the work was completed, did not offer an explanation or apology for missing it. There was also an alteration (quick fix) performed on another part of the fences that I had not been made aware of. Had I been made aware it, I wouldve paid extra to have the repair done correctly. This couldve been an easy moment to extend their services to repair the newly discovered issue, but that wasnt the case. It was clear the crew wanted to finish in one day than to extend it if necessary. Personally, if I had a client that was unsure or unhappy of the work completed, I would make it a priority to make sure they were 100% satisfied with the services that were contracted and purchased.

Do not do business with this company. Unless, of course, you want a two-tone fence.After several attempts to have my concerns addressed, they did come and do the job to my satisfaction.

Guy came to give an estimate, said they would screw down all the boards that looked loose, fix my gate, replace some missing, and or, damaged posts, wash and stain inside of fence, and outside of the front two sides. A month later I scheduled the job. two day process. Ok, no biggy. When the Job was finished......they did not say what the sales person said they were going to do. There were boards that did not get screwed down, and the fence was still off. I called in and the rude lady on the phone scheduled the owner to come out. He was the rudest man ever! He was not concerned that his employee lied to me and in no way was interested in fixing the issues with my fence. He walked around with little man syndrome and no way was he walking out of there making his customer, me, happy! He said it was additional and there was no way what his employee told me was what they did! OY! SO Ive told everyone I know ml about my experiences!

I dont recommend this company at all. Dont fall for their slogan dont pay more just restore, it is absolutely waste of your money. I got my fence repaired and stained. It was just one month ago, and it is already about to break apart. They sprayed a strong bleach solution to clean the fence instead of pressure washing it before staining. Now all existing nails are coming loose and the fence got into worse shape than before. When I called the company, he came and took a look at it and gave me another quote to fix it. The guy is very arrogant does not know the meaning of customer service, he complains that the fence got worse because of the strong winds and not because of their lousy job.

Office manager is rude. Wanted to hire them based off a referral. Was notified the day before of the time of the appointment and said I couldnt be there. Get a call the next day asking where I was then I explained working, then was told I was the problem because thats not there process. No offer to make another appointment or find a solution. Very disappointing

Very disappointed in the quality. The paint the use is very thin. When we ask them to make it right they wanted more money. So my advice go with some the first time that will do it right not this company.

I was really surprised, after reading all the bad reviews, got a quote for half the price, out of three bids, talk to the owner he assuard me, it would be perfect, and it was, the crew was awesome (fernando,s crew) coverd up pool, 5 palm trees, patio furn, etc, job clean up perfect, im really pickey, and that crew and owner is worth 5 stars !

I will not recommend them. They cleaned and stained the fence even though the conditions were still wet. It had rained heavily the previous night and the fence was wet. The owner claims that after cleaning the fence they made sure that the fence was dry but it is not possible since we have experienced heavy rains in N Texas since last 2 weeks. They should have recommended to the customer to wait for a few days. My neighbors fence staining company did exactly that. All this happened in my absence when I was away at work. The fence job also looks very unprofessional.Recommend going with someone else
