Also a friend had the James Bown Ale (phenomenal name) and it doesnt taste like much but is very clean and goes down smooth. Great Brewery and support the Walk To End Alzheimers!

Would you like to be verbally abused? Would you like to be disrespected? This is the place.Last year I shopped there for the first time and was treated rudely. I posted a review and they responded with a $20 gift certificate. I went back in just to use the certificate and that trip was actually pleasant, but it was a different employee.Today, the first employee was in there and he was as abusive as he was my first visit. Clearly they dont get it.Hell will freeze over before I go back. I will take my money and business elsewhere.So, if you want to be treated with respect, find another brew supply company. This one does not respect their customers. It amazes me they are still in business.

I highly recommend this homebrew store! They have an expansive inventory, especially of ingredients, and fill orders very quickly and accurately.

The staff is always extremely helpful and will even offer advice for your recipes. They make great suggestions and are very knowledgeable on everything.The prices are also very reasonable.

Its nice to have a local supplier for brew goodies. Sometime ya just wanna brew sooner rather than later - reasonable pricing, decent in store stock. Friendly staff. Knowledgeable. I came in with weirdo requests and the guy that helped me knew exactly what I was talking about. His answers werent fished for out of his head like other stores do when they arent familiar. He knew the subject as an expert would. I will be back when time allows, as Im over an hour away. Prices are good for a brick and mortar without the shipping cost and wait of online ordering. I was impressed.

Theres something remarkable about walking in here. As youre greeted by all the equipment, grains, yeast, and hops you get this tingling sensation of infinite possibility. The staff are friendly and willing to help. Theres also a selection of brewing books available to help guide you to your dream brew. For newcomers to the hobby there are also classes from time to time for brewing beer, wine, or mead. Great place.

Supply store for home brewers and a bar to have some of their own concoctions. The bartenders/sales associates are very knowledgeable about brewing both beer and wine. We went in to buy supplies to make plum wine and got great information.

During the weeks leading up to Christmas, they apparently close EARLIER. Wouldve been nice if their hours on Google reflected that. Instead I wasted a trip.The last time I came, I went inside to ask a question to one of the staff about their products and was treated like it was a major inconvenience for me to ask a simple question.We use to like these guys, but their customer service has changed since theyve gotten bigger and expanded their store.

Nice store with lots of stuff for the Home Brewer. The inventory grows every time I go in. Tony is very knowledgeable. The store is often busy, so be prepared to wait if you need individual attention. I had a bad can of Extract and Tony hooked me up with a new can at no charge. Relax, have a home brew!

Excellent brewing supplies! The staff here are extremely helpful if you have any questions about any aspect of brewing. There is an amazing supply of grains and hops, and a really good selection of brewing equipment.

This is my go to place for brewing supplies, he has some items available even when they are backordered online. (Thinking my SS Brew Tech Conical).With the addition of Final Gravity, now I cant buy grain without buying a beer but the combination is wonderful.If your not a brewer, go by and get a beer and learn how easy it can be to get into the hobby. Tony and all of the staff are great educators for the beginners to advanced brewing when you are really getting into problem solving and tweaking your recipes.

This place is top notch among the breweries of Richmond. You wont get beer that tastes like this anywhere else - and if you want to make your own they have a small warehouse that is full of materials and supplies for doing so.

Just tasted our first batch of homemade craft beer and it was delicious. I enjoyed the process and felt very prepared after Tony (the owner) set us up with everything we needed, and offered several helpful tips for beginners. Its clear that he knows what hes doing and that he has a passion for home brewing. Went to this store today to check it out. Love craft brews but know nothing about home brewing. This could be something I could get into, but unfortunately the employees are more interested in making beer than selling product. Nobody even acknowledged my existence. I couldve knocked this joint up and nobody would have noticed. Also saw other patrons in the same boat as me. Shouldnt priority #1 be selling product?

All-around fantastic place. All the supplies you need to homebrew beer or wine, and they brew beer on the equipment they sell. Always a great selection of delicious beers of varying styles and very reasonably priced per glass, crowler or growler fills. Oh, and the medals to show what great quality it is. Come on in and taste for yourself! No food for sale on premise (save chips/salsa and the occasional pretzel) but multiple restaurants in the area will deliver.

I absolutely love this place! Homebrew store and brewery in one! What could be better than that? The Homebrew selection is full of great options and at the best prices in town. Seriously, everything is like a buck or 2 cheaper than other stores around me. There beer is pretty damn good as well! I just wish they would shake up the selection a bit more and for the absolutely love of God please bring back the Solar Flare IPA! It was so aromatic and just so damn good. My only complaint would be that the crowler prices are a bit high but very minor issue in the grand scheme of things.

As a new brewer, just wanted give shout out to the really nice guys over at Original Gravity the shop is really well organized and the prices I found to be as good as online without the shipping.The shop also seems to have about everything you can think of from about every single Brewers Best kit and starter kits for the newbie, to some really nice high end setups and a lot of bulk grain, sugars, and such for the advanced brewer.I stopped by and bugged them at least twice before jumping into the hobby, and found Tony to be very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. Knowing I would have someone like that to help was one of the reasons I decided to give it a try.So, anyway.. I just got a kit from a friend and REALLY REALLY wanted to start brewing while I was off this holiday season. I stopped by new years eve, and unfortunately they were doing inventory, and were closed. That said, he still went ahead and opened long enough for me to get my supplies.

Such a great little shop with anything and everything you will need to brew at home. We are lucky to have this locally.

I went once and no one was around to help me. There was one bartender helping 30 or so people but I needed homebrew supplies. I waited around for 5 minutes and left. I wont be going back.
