What a waste. Their hours are wrong. We went there on Saturday, where they say on Google and their website that they are open Nope, closed. Location not well marked at all. I can understand wanting to be closed on Labor Day weekend, but why wouldnt they update their website or their Google listing to make that clear?? If they cant be bothered to be considerate to their customers who spent their time and gas to get there, I cant be bothered to spend money with them.

We have done a lot of business with this nursery and have always been satisfied. The quality of the plants has always been good and the staff helpful. Our latest experience, however, gave us some insight into the ethics of their business practice which is troublesome. We had chosen and paid for a tree ($225). This tree was too large for us to manage so we needed to arrange for a landscaper to pick up the tree and plant it for us. This process took longer than it should have, but when we finally had a person to do the work, he went to pick up the tree and the nursery had sold it to someone else. While it is understandable that the tree probably needed to be moved, what is troubling is that the nursery never contacted us to let us know they had sold it. Their actions revealed to us that they were willing to pocket our $225 and proceed to sell the tree to someone else (presumably at $225). This is not an acceptable way to do business. This is in fact a form of thievery. They did in fact refund our money when confronted, but what a disappointment and dissolution of trust in doing further business with them. If they had simply called us, asked why the delay, and asked if they could go ahead and sell the tree and order us another, all would have been fine. We do not feel we can do further business with a company that showed so little respect for us as a customer.

Great service, lots of great shrubs and trees! If you dont go with a list, you will end up over budget!

I purchased four trees last fall for my new yard from Glen Allen Nursery. Now 8 months later they are looking very good, with new leaves forming. The staff were very helpful in selecting the trees and even ordering one that they did not have. I will be using them again for my next project which will be very soon!
