We had a quick turnaround time to move from VA to GA. A friend referred us to Mid Atlantic after hearing about our challenge of finding an affordable moving company that we could trust with our collection of furnishings and belongings....you know the horror stories you hear!From the moment we made contact until the truck drove away after delivery, I cant say enough positive things! Lynette helped reassure us that all would be taken care of on the truck and was there for questions. Our crew arrived on time and ready to move HEAVY furniture! Steven was the crew leader, along with Joe (and another guy I forgot already), were really good guys and very pleasant with a get it done attitude.The delivery on the other end in GA was perfect with no issues at all. I cant say enough positive things about the crew and Mid Atlantic Moving!Im critical and surprisingly, there are no complaints...just praise! Thanks everyone at Mid Atlantic!!! :)
I absolutely love this company. Matt was extremely helpful in setting up my move. The guys that came to move me (Thomas, Tom and Deshon), was fast and very efficient. They were extremely polite and handled my move from an apartment to a house with care. I am extremely pleased and would use them again.
What a wonderful experience!!! Our move was handled with EXPERT care! Our previous home was 4 floors, and full of furniture!! They moved each piece with care and consistency that our antique as well as our oversized, heavy furniture & a sea of boxes were truly carefully taken care of. I couldnt have asked for a better team / company...they moved items into our new home without issues or evidence of their presence...clean, thoughtful...things placed in just the right places. Easy going yet hard working team.... were very grateful!!

Thomas and his partner were great...they showed up on time for our 225 miles in-state move and got it done efficiently!! The team was very accommodating with my move from start to finish. The guys showed up on time, gave me a 30 minute heads up before they were on their way and were more than willing to help put my king size bed and bed frame together for me. I will most definitely be using them when I move back to Florida.
Good price, and I really liked everyone who worked there. From those at the office setting up my move, to the guys they sent out to move our things, everyone was very friendly and professional. No move is foolproof, there is no such thing as a zero damage move. A minor scuff here and there is inevitable if you are moving an entire house worth of things its just part of moving. All in all, an excellent value and everyone at the company is a pleasure to work with. Would use them again.
Fast, efficient, professional team helped us move our heaviest items - were talking piano, china cabinet, and heavy wooden items - on short notice and with great organization. 10 out of 10 would recommend and will use again.
Outstanding moving company!!! Let me tell you when Paul called my cell phone and notified me that they were on the way, we were ready to go. We did a brief walk through of the house we were leaving and then boom, we got to moving! I assisted with the moving to help expedite some of the items to the doorway; this saved quite a bit of time while my sister and niece went to the new location to get keys, etc. By the time we got to the new place and did the second walk through, it was time to rock and roll again. They were prepared with dollys, lift gates and all the appropriate tools to make the transition smooth. Paul and Ed thanked me for my assistance too! These gentlemen were courteous, informative, professional and ready to work from start to finish. Pricing was very reasonable and also a special thanks to Matthew for the initial assistance when I called. Id HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mid-Atlantic Moving and Storage when you are ready to move, whether its planned or at a moments notice. They will take great care of your belongings!
I called Mid-Atlantic because I had been dropped by Bellhops moving at the literal last minute (12 hours before our move date.) They called me back at 10:30pm and got us scheduled for the next day at 9am. It was amazing. They were so nice and timely. The movers were so quick but careful too. Honestly, cannot speak highly enough about everyone from the person that fielded our call to the movers that showed up and did such an amazing job. Will definitely be using them again!
My move initially was to take place over two days, one day to pack and one day to move. The first day went well, however my team didn’t bring enough boxes. I was assured they’d continue boxing on the second day. Day two came around and unfortunately my team was delayed for several hours, however Timothy arrived as promised at 2 pm and immediately took control of the additional boxing and moving. Once Timothy arrived everything went smoothly and was professionally executed. Candy, my move coordinator followed up with me throughout the day, as did her colleague Lynette. If it weren’t for the four hour delay on the second day 5/5 stars.

We had a great experience with this company! Moved to a new city and made 2 stops with everything going smoothly. The guys were awesome- patient when I had them move a few things inside the new place around and very pleasant to chat with! Once the decision was made to move from Chester, Va. to Mansfield, MA I wasnt sure where to turn concerning my household goods. On-line research led to calling Mid-Atlantic Moving & Storage. After talking with Matt who communicated in a knowledgeable, professional way I decided to move forward with them. Productive conversations with employees Kandi and Dusty were equally as encouraging.My biggest thank you goes to Joe and Thomas who were responsible for loading the truck on 3 December 2019 and delivering on 5 December 2019. These two men worked extremely hard and took excellent care of my belongings. Im very grateful to them.Looking back I did myself a favor by hiring Mid-Atlantic Moving & Storage. You should as well.
I would give zero stars if I could. I hired this company for a local move, which was fine. During that move, they noticed a hot tub on the porch of the home we were moving into and said they also specialized in moving hot tubs if we ever needed it moved.After selling the hot tub, I hired the company to move it to the buyer. During the move they busted two panels on the hot tub and put a hole in my porch. They are refusing to cover the cost of repairs to the porch and are not covering the damages to the hot tub, which now leaves me unable to sell it. Their reasoning was that the porch boards were too weak to support the hot tub, resulting in the damage to the hot tub and porch. However, the hot tub had been on the porch for years without issue.They did not send enough people (only sent three - said they would send four) to move the hot tub and one even stated that he had never moved a hot tub before.

We moved from a very large house to a 4 story townhouse on 2 of the hottest days of the year. Our furniture is big, heavy and there was a lot of it. We packed our own boxes. The manager, Candi, came out to do a pre-move inspection and determined that we would need 2 trucks and five moving personnel which was an accurate assessment. The crew arrived on time, introduced themselves, toured the house for an overview of the job, and then they got right to work. They communicated with us during the move, and they worked hard until both trucks were full, about 4 1/2 hours. They wrapped and blanketed our furniture, and removed glass shelves and wrapped them separately, details we appreciated. They unloaded the next day, which was even hotter, and had to carry many heavy items up 4 narrow flights of stairs. They did it quickly and with good teamwork and good spirits. They worked for nearly 6 hours without breaks, very physically demanding. We are still unpacking and the only damage we have found is one broken wine glass, pretty good for such a large move. We are very pleased with our moving experience, and we would definitely use Mid-Atlantic again. Big Will is the best!

Had an emergency move after another moving company was a no-show, these guys were able to fit me in right away, came right on time and finished my move within an hour (it was in the same apartment complex, but they did have to go up 3 flights of stairs) Excellent job all around, and they wore masks to the job and respected social distancing

We have used Mid-Atlantic Moving & Storage for 3 different moves and each time they have been amazing. The movers go above and beyond expectations and help with setting up furniture and making sure that everything you need is done. If we move again, we will be using Mid-Atlantic.
We used Mid-Atlantic Moving earlier this year for a small business move and it really could not have been a worse experience. In advance of the move, we had discussed everything that we had to move and gotten a quote. They sent out 3 guys (bless them) who were just completely ill-prepared. Almost every piece of furniture we have was scratched and/or gouged, as well as most of the walls and door frames in the new house. They had zero tools with them and had to leave several large pieces of furniture in the middle of hallways, because they didnt even have a screwdriver to assist in moving large pieces into smaller rooms. The next morning, we also realized that two custom-built glass tops hadnt ever made it off the truck and when we called the company to ask, they said they didnt know where they were. We had to hire other workers to help us early the next morning (which they were able to do fairly seamlessly) since we couldnt wait for the Mid-Atlantic team to come out for an assessment. As a business, there was no way we could wait to get our desks into offices or leave a shredded door frame in client view. Through the claim process (over $3,000 in damages), we learned that there is fine print in their contract that says theyre not liable for any damages to furniture or structure, so they declined everything, even the pieces that they lost entirely, since we didnt notice their absence night of the move while the movers were still there. I cannot stress enough that this is a terrible company - terrible ethics and terribly run. Do NOT use them.

I have had to move a number of times in the last 10 years, and this was by far the best moving company I have had the pleasure to deal with... Not only was their packing service extremely professional, there was no hidden charges or surprise expenses at the conclusion of the move - which has happened with other moving companies Ive experienced. They provided a total packing service, and kept to an agreed upon schedule. I would highly recommend Mid-Atlantic Moving and Storage to others as a professional and highly competent moving company. 7/16/19 - If I could give zero, I would. Today the delivery supervisor was highly unprofessional and extremely threatening toward my father, a 73-year-old man, during the delivery of our furniture. The three employees showed up an hour late with no paperwork to identify which items were being delivered. They did not identify themselves nor did they have the proper equipment, such as moving straps or safety gear, to move our items. The site supervisor (again, did not give us his name) had the audacity to get in my fathers face (literally nose to nose) and argue about the delivery, which was not complete because they didnt fill the truck in order to bill us for more mileage than what was necessary. The supervisor stated he didnt care how much we paid for the service and threatened that he felt like he didnt want to work anymore after my father questioned him about the truck not being full. Furthermore, my father specifically asked that the big furniture be delivered, and these guys decided to bring boxes and not the furniture. My parents were unable to sleep in their own home and were forced to find alternate sleeping arrangements as a result. As if all of this wasnt enough, our boxes were damaged, and these guys refused to take responsibility. I do not recommend this company to anyone. This company engages in deceptive business practices and allows its employees to use bullying and threatening tactics in order to defraud their customers. We will be filing a formal complaint for todays encounter.

Thank you guys, I really cannot sing enough praises to do justice to how great you made this for us. I can honestly say, this move wasn’t bad at all, and believe you me, we had ALOT of stuff with three kiddos!
Horrible experience. We were scheduled for a 10 to 12:00 start time on July 2nd. They called and asked if they could come between 3 and 5:00 instead. As long as it got done, we were able to be flexible. At 4:30 (!!!!), they CANCELED! And said they were not coming the next day either! They were not sorry and all they had to say was We will refund your deposit.We called and tried to reason with them and then spent the next 3 hours calling any other mover that would answer the phone. Of course, none was available for the next day. This was truly a disaster in the making. Our POD was being picked up the next day, loaded or not, and making its way cross country. Any delay meant that we would miss our city delivery appointment. The next delivery appointment was 1-1/2 months later.Mid-Atlantic called back at 8:15 to say the owner had found 2 guys to do the move the next morning. They showed up, did the move, and then charged me FULL PRICE!
I used Mid-Atlantic Moving & Storage 2 years ago to move and was really pleased with the efficiency and helpfulness of everyone in the company so I hired them again this week to move my offices. Once again everyone from Kandi in the office to the moving crew of Thomas, Matthew, and Dusty was great! I hope there arent more moves in the near future, but if there are, I will certainly call Mid-Atlantic again. Thanks for making a stressful situation much less so!!!

I thought I would have to store three pods but will only be two due to their expert packing! This will save me over $200 a month storage!🤗Also Tony(the guy that set up the move) was wonderful ! I spoke to him a few times and he was so polite and helpful . He spent so much time helping me . Unfortunately he did not have storage space the first time I called . But when I called back to see if they loaded pods he was so helpful and worked at fitting me in sooner than what their schedule showed! I was so lucky and fortunate to sell my house 🏡 in one day but had to be out of it by first of July . The sales people low ball the price and once you commit, you will never talk to that person again. A couple of these guys were clearly high. 5 hours in to an anticipated 6 hour move, they are still at the house and have not loaded a full truck (of which they brought 2) and are talking about coming back for day 2. Office lady tells us, you were quoted wrong same thing in all of the other negative reviews. If we had more stuff than you thought, then why did they only load 1 truck? None of it makes sense. Moving is never fun, but it was an awful experience all around with this company. Started raining at hour 5. The truck they loaded had a HUGE hole in the roof. When I insisted that they complete the move because we had no where to sleep and our stuff was getting soaked two of them started swearing at me in the street. Seriously, in front of the neighbors. I couldnt believe it. Here is the picture. 4 guys, 2 screw guns, one loft and one desk. Result 3 hours at full rate for all 4 and both pieces broken and missing hardware one of them never even made it on the truck. They forged my signature at the end of the day and produced a document showing our insurance selection. Yeah, thats not on the original contract. It was added after. these folks are AWFUL. Read the other reviews and choose anyone else but these folks. They trade under several names so beware!
I just moved here to Midlothian VA, and had to put my stuff in storage, until house was ready. when the time came for me to move into my house I called mid atlantic movers, and they sent out two of the best men that I ever had the pleasure of working with they were exactly on time and worked very hard until the job was done, and I noticed that they moved all my stuff in a timely manner and was very gentle handling everything. One of the men was dusty, but I cannot recall the other mans name maybe mike. These two men are an asset to your company. Thank you very much Mid-atlanti
NEGATIVE 5 STARSCaveat emptor: Let the buyer beware!The nightmare began on January 16th, 2020 when Mid-Atlantic Moving and Storage showed up at our front door to move our belongings just one mile down the road. We didn’t know there was a problem at first. The three men who showed up were very polite, maybe a little too polite. That should have been the first clue.After 9 hours of loading and unloading, we discovered that the movers had stolen alcohol, been drinking on the job, and failed to use pads to pack our furniture. Consequently, nearly everything we owned had been scratched, chipped, or broken, including an unreplaceable oak bench more than a hundred years old. All the covers on our patio furniture were now torn and useless.Then after we realized that so many pieces we valued were damaged, the nightmare got worse as we tried to persuade Mid-Atlantic to make things right. They told us that the insurance covers virtually nothing, and they would be doing us a “favor” to have their restoration department attempt some repairs. We should be grateful they were willing to do that much.Now, two months later, after thousands of dollars in damaged furniture, and dozens of unreturned phone calls we are left with this: They offered us $100 to keep our mouths shut and not tell anyone what they did. (Remember this when you read their reviews!) $100 Wouldn’t even begin to replace the patio furniture and grille covers they destroyed, let alone fix the furniture.Then after telling us they had a professional furniture restoration expert, we let them take three pieces for repair. Result: They returned our dining room table with more damage than when they took it to fix it. They completely ruined, and we mean ruined! a sideboard which now matches nothing in the house. They did do a fair job fixing our breakfast table. But it is hard to be grateful for a repair when it never should have been broken in the first place.In retrospect, we are so glad we did not allow them to “fix” everything they broke before seeing what their repairs would look like. It is obvious they would have destroyed our antique bench.For the future protection of those who want to avoid a nightmare like ours, you will need to know that Mid-Atlantic Moving and Storage and Southside Moving and Storage and its subsidiaries are part of the same company.And lastly, here is a word about contracts. Mid-Atlantic tried to get us focused on the limitations of insurance. Regardless of insurance, it is implicit in all performance contracts that the work provided be done in a “workman-like manner”, meaning, the work must be done competently and professionally. Our dispute with Mid-Atlantic is not over insurance, it is over them failing to provide a professional service and then failing to make things right.We are now waiting to see if Mid-Atlantic writes a (lying) response to this. If they do, we will be back with more details.
I had a great experience with Mid-Atlantic/Southside Moving. I had a delivery/pick up with multiple stops and they delivered my order ahead of schedule. They obliged my requests to call at each stop so I knew what the status was of the delivery and they took photos of what was being picked up. They were great to work with and I will use them again in the future!
Mid- Atlantic made my whole moving experience a breeze. From the first call speaking with Jenny to the follow up making sure I was satisfied with the move. The movers were prompt and professional they worked diligently and handled all of my belonging with care. They finished by the estimated time. 7/18/19 - The companys reply to my familys previous post is a complete misrepresentation of the facts. My father was clear with the employees when they showed up late to the storage unit that he needed the furniture loaded, that means beds, mattresses, etc. The employees told my father to leave, that he was not needed there to watch over them, therefore he left. Mid-Atlantic staff did not want or need him there. Clearly by the reply they have just posted the had him leave so that they dont have to take responsibility for disregarding his request and shift the blame to someone else.When the movers showed up without the furniture and without the truck being filled to capacity my father was upset. Any reasonable person would be since this was the direct opposite of what was paid for and what was told to the movers at the storage unit hours prior. My father took a photo of the truck and this is what set off the employee. At no point during the altercation between the supervising employee and my father were there any weapons present, nor did my father make any threatening statements. The employee, who is well over 6 feet tall and almost double my fathers weight, however, was yelling, waving his arms in anger, and pacing back and forth as he bullied and intimidated my father. My father was extremely fearful for his safety and had to call family members for help because he was alone with angry employees (3 to be exact), and he thought he was going to be attacked. My father is elderly, he was alone, and the employees took advantage of this. This is disgusting behavior that has not been addressed by Mid-Atlantic, which leaves one to believe that they not only condone these tactics, but encourage it.They have not apologized for the employees behavior, they have not offered to refund even a portion of our money for not completing the work they were supposed to, nor have they made any efforts to resolve this matter amicably. We have contacted them via phone, by email, and in person, but Kandi Edwards, the Operations Manager, instead wants to charge us (again) for sending someone to finish the job the the first crew did not. Mid-Atlantic and its employees obviously dont take customer service seriously as they claim to do so in their response. They have been given opportunity to find a resolution but, as Kandi Edwards made very clear, they have no intention of finishing the job or refunding our money (she said that directly to my fiancee when she went to the Corporate Office yesterday, 7/17/19) and said there is nothing more they will do. That sounds like a complete contradiction of their statements. Our complaint is not salacious, its the truth. But they dont really care about that.
If I could give this company 0 stars I would. What an awful experience moving into our new house with these unprofessional, careless, rude people. We spent almost 600 on the move. They didn’t wrap anything they were supposed to. Boxes were thrown, nothing was handled with care. Furniture was ruined, soiled, scratched. Filed a claim for it and only got $60 in return. My advice to you NEVER HIRE THEM!!!!!! You will regret it.
Great service! Denzel and Carnell worked hard and fast. Had a very positive attitude as I apologized for how heavy and bulky some items were. As they said... You sit back and let us do what we do! We actually had a good time moving due to their attitude and personalities.
This company is a complete joke. I advised prior to booking that I had large furniture. I was charged a price for 3 men however I only received 2 people (One of their employees notified me that I was overcharged). I was initially quoted $450 but ultimately paid over $700 for a trip that was less than 5 miles. My $2000+ mattress was damaged (I requested that they come take a look at the damage and possibly fix it instead of replacing the mattress). Upon making a claim with this company for the damages, I was advised that I should have purchased a different type of insurance from them for the job. I would expect that a moving company would be properly licensed and insured. This place should be shut down by the state or they should at least take accountability for their mistakes. If you claim to be a professional moving company, a good idea would be to have professional employees( as in actual professionals, not random kids who just slap a plain lounge tee on and call it a day).
Showed up late.... ran out of tape while trying to shrink wrap the furniture.Due to this they ended up dropping my table out of the blanket, leaving large-deep scratches and a dent (told me they didnt drop it when I saw them struggling to lift it back up). Layed the top of my china cabinet in the wet driveway..... They dont wear non-slip shoes. An associate slipped down the truck ramp with one of my dining room chairs in hand and cracked the entire back leg off. If this wasnt enough, the guaranteed quote that they gave me was not honored and they ended up charging my card substantially more than the quote.Their movers are contracted, underpaid and dont look like professional movers at all. I would have preferred they be unpleasant and not damage my stuff.I would not use this moving company again.

Brandon and Tommy were very careful with our things. They shrinkwrapped a lot of it and made sure that we were satisfied. They were very patient as we were still packing when they arrived.

My experience with Mid-Atlantic Moving & Storage was awesome. My timeframe, for the movers to arrive was from 8-9. In which they arrived on time. The time it took for them to move from one place to another (including making another stop to pick up another piece of furniture for me), took no time at all. The movers were courteous, funny & very professional. I will be recommending Mid-Atlantic to other people.
I would like to start off by saying that the movers were great! I was impressed with this company from my initial phone call. However, we were/have been VERY disappointed and would never use this company again. The men were two hours late...come to find out they had fit another move in that morning and ran over. By the time they got to our house, they were exhausted! All hardware to our queen bed, antique floor mirror and another floor mirror were LOST. They had no idea where they put them. Our old dining room floor was scratched (3 foot scratch) when they attempted to move our china cabinet. This resulted in us having to pay the owner $1600 to replace the floor. I truly feel this happened for two reasons: 1. The movers were already worn out from their move in the morning. 2. The movers were not supplied with the appropriate equipment to move heavy furniture. I was also disappointed because the person I spoke to on the phone when setting up the move said the movers would take care of our grandfather clock by removing the weights appropriately. When the movers arrived they said they did not know how to do such a thing and said we would need to remove the weights ourselves if we wanted them taken out....What is even more disheartening is that we filled out a proof of loss/damage claim form about the hardware the MOVERS LOST and the scratch on our floor. After 30 days we never heard from them. I emailed to check on the status and here a week later I still havent heard anything. VERY POOR customer service.We had friends in the Richmond area who also moved recently and used All My Sons Moving Company. They had a very pleasant experience and they followed up to a claim form they ended up having to submit. Next time I will be sure to go with them!

This is by far the worst moving company I have ever encountered in my life. If you are smart about money, then do not use them at all. I was quoted for a 3 hour move that ended up taking 5 hours. We were moving literally .33 miles away. I was originally told that I would be getting my stuff picked up at 8am but I got a call the day before demanding that I move my day. I was leaving town the next day so there was no way I could push it to the next day. They told me they would be out early afternoon. Well a reasonable person would think 1-2, but it ended up being 4:10.I had the elevator scheduled at my apartment as well but since they had to move the time, I couldnt get the elevator reserved for the new time slot. So we had to wait on the elevator for every trip for at least 5-10 minutes each time. I totaled one hour of total time waiting on the elevator that shouldnt have been. The 3 movers also sat around and talked for numerous amounts of time and just looked at my stuff in the apartment and kept asking questions about them instead of moving stuff. Lots of down time for these guys.We get to the house and all they did was complain about the stairs in my house instead of doing their job. They got everything in the right rooms, Ill give them that, but they did not assemble my bed back together until I told them to. Then they didnt put my mirror back on my dresser.Now lets get to the carnage of where they just knocked of dry wall in my staircase. They were beating it to hell and didnt care one bit. I submitted a claim because a contractor told me it was going to be $600 to fix. Still havent heard from them.Their customer service is literally just as bad as their moving abilities. No one is willing to work with you about anything.Please for the love of God, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good job, great value. I had another moving company pick up my shipment and store it in their warehouse in Blacksburg. I called Mid-Atlantic Moving and Storage and made arrangements for them to pick it up. I told them when I wanted it delivered and they went and picked it up and delivered it all in the same day! The movers worked hard to get the job done right. All my inventory was transferred and I didnt have any items missing. Would definitely use again.

Im sorry to say I have forgotten the two mens names that moved me but there were excellent. There was a mix up and the movers did not show up however when I called Mid-Atlantic (Joey & carolyn) and they got movers right away even though it was way past time. That is great customer service. I would recommend them to all!Cheryl

Very unprofessional. A lot of the bad reviews on other review sites (such as Yelp) are substantiated. The movers tried to charge me cash to carry my couch up the stairs stating the office would charge me 3x more, which was false. Information by staff was inconsistent and not communicated between each other. I cancelled my credit card after reading of delayed charges the company later asserts. The contract is very sparse and leaves many things out (like long carry fees) making it justifiable by the company. BBB has rated this company and “F”. I would not recommend anyone use this moving company.

I was more than please with Mid-Atlantic Moving & Storage! I had a fairly big job taking nearly 10 hours and Brandon & crew hung in there, energetic, professional, and accommodating the entire time! Moving is never a joy, but, if I ever have to move again, Mid-Atlantic is who I would call, and Brandon is who I would request!
The staff was very respectful and nice. However, they left a few things behind and seemed to rush through picking up my things, which may have caused them to leave a few things, they seemed to drag out the unloading process. Overall, a decent experience.

We used them in June. We had 5 guys but they kept rotating out. They kept telling us various rates throughout the day. It ranged from $175-225 an hour based on how many movers were there. It cost us $2400 to move a 1600 square ft house and a storage unit. They damaged the bottom of our leather sofa trying to force it through a door, they knicked the trim at the top of our stairs, they damaged multiple pieces of furniture bottoms because it wasnt wrapped. I would not recommend this company. Save your money.

CAUTION: This company also goes by Shouthside Moving & StorageLet me say that the MOVERS WERE AMAZING and the initial communication with the company was also phenomenal. This was my first big move and the first time I decided to hire movers. I was given various quotes depending on the final weight, was offered various insurance quotes/options, etc. and the rate I was quoted was by far the lowest I had received - I guess you get what you pay for. In my numerous conversations with the company I had given a detailed list of my items. The company also discussed the possibility of a same-day move which was ideal. I made a point or reiterating several times that in order for that to happen, the movers had to be at my place promptly at 8am as I only had the loading dock at my new residence until 8PM that evening. After being reassured several times that that wouldnt be a problem, I went ahead and changed my move-in date for a day earlier (which cost me extra money) and reserved the loading dock for that evening. I started getting a little nervous when the evening before the scheduled move I received a confirmation call for the moving truck to be at my residence between 8-9AM but was also asked what items I was moving. When I stated that I had submitted a detailed list I was told nothing was on file but that everything would be fine. At 9:30AM on moving day there was no truck in sight and had to call to see what was going on. At 10:30 I received a call from the driver saying they were leaving the truck yard and still had to weight the truck. When I explained to him that this was supposed to be a same-day move that was now not going to happen he told me he had no knowledge of that. Needless to say from that moment on, nothing went according to plan. I was able to reserve the loading dock at my new residence for the next morning but only for 2 hours which was not nearly enough time to get it unloaded with 2 men. I called the company and requested a 3rd mover to help unload and voiced my displeasure and concerns which were not only completely brushed-off but the relocation specialist started arguing with me about the fact that I could only get the loading dock for 2 hours. In the end, we never received a 3rd mover and I never heard from the company again to apologize, follow-up, nothing. Moving is stressful enough and this company made it a horrific experience. I would absolutely NEVER RECOMMEND this company. Pay the extra money and hire a reputable company.
I wish there was no stars. Horrible company they broke my furniture and damaged the walls. And they don’t want to take the responsibility for anything. There movers doesn’t know anything and they’re the worst company of all time. Take your business elsewhere don’t pay them to damage your furniture.
This has to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The movers were supposed to have a checklist of what items they removed from my house and the condition the items were in. I never saw the list since they inventoried everything when they were unloading the truck at the storage location. The move out was not finished until after 9pm as they misjudged how much truck space they would need and had to make two trips. I was told I would be given the manifest of items to sign off later. This never happened. The day my items were moved out of storage and into my new house, I could see that nothing had been wrapped, which I was told would happen when going into storage. I had nicks in most wood pieces, multiple broken items(all of which were items the company had packed), and the supposed storage facility they have listed on their website was actually a self storage location. It must not have been very clean as there was green goo on some of the wood pieces and dirt on the mattresses, that should have been wrapped anyway. On top of this my dining room table was lost. I was pushed to sign the papers so the moving guys could be done with their 9 hour day! (Only 3 of these hours were spent at our actual home...) I was told the table would be found later, and that my credit card would not be charged until this was taken care of. What do you know??? My card was charged the next day and that is when the promise of call backs began, and now my number is being ignored by the operations manager.Please save yourself and do not use this company for anything.
The owner !!she is very unprofessional and she doesn’t treat her employees like they need to be treated ...People work hard for their money and go out of their way to do an excellent customer service for this company at all!!!SMH
TD;DR version: look at the pictures Ive postedLatest findings: Cant find box with glassware.Based on the positive reviews, Ive put extremely good faith in this company to execute a simple move for me --- from one apartment unit to another within the same complex --- while I was out of the country. Yes, I trusted them that much even though I was 9000+ miles away. However, theyve failed me on too many levels, prompting me to write my first ever Google review.First of all, I admit that I was at fault in the beginning. I had forgotten to pay the first months rent of the new unit and the landlord refused to give the movers the keys. I called (internationally) the movers telling them to not rush the move and that I would pay for whatever extra costs that would incur. However, I learnt that they have been stacking all my belongings right outside the front door of the new unit!!! That made me feel extremely uneasy and yet helpless.Soon, the rent issue was resolved and my landlord let the movers in. The only correspondence from the movers thereafter was them telling me that they had completed the move about an hour later.They ended up charging me $472 for a 3-hour move. I thought it was reasonable given how the company has advertised putting everything back together and in place. This was more than easy for my case, since the new unit had the exact same layout as the previous.When I returned to the states however, I was horrified and beyond enraged to find that the movers had stacked every single thing in the living room. My first thought was that they were masters of Tetris. My bed frame, desk, and couch were left completely disassembled and lying in strategically awkward positions. One of my storage containers was broken, with the clothes it held lying here and there on the floor. Some of the boxes containing important electronics were placed upside down. The absolute worst part was that they placed my couch wedged between the kitchen counter and hallway, preventing me from moving things into my bedroom (a job that they should have done in the first place).I felt that by hiring people to move has inconvenienced me more than myself renting a u-haul truck and asking the neighbors for help.As of right now, Im still waiting for a response from the company to make amends to the situation. I will continue pursuing until I get a response.
