I called the range asking for help figuring out what to do with my original party of 8 for a few hours on the range. The range recommended I call Mike to schedule and I am so happy I did! Mike was very helpful when a member of the group dropped out and during my event when an elderly member was unable to continue Mike still made it a fun experience. He is very attentive to all the members of his group and will give constructive help to better your shot. The whole experience was around 3 hours and Mike went above and beyond for us on a 90+ degree day. I highly recommend Mike for group and single player events. Thank you Mike!
Mike is super. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. He explains thing so that even a novice, like me, understands. I hit a lot more clay pigeons than I ever thought I would and had a great time.
My first lesson with Mike was a great experience. Ive been hitting 20 of 25 pretty regularly but after the lesson my 25 is right around the corner. I highly recommend Mike whether youre new to the sport or a seasoned shooter who needs to upgrade their game.

Where to start?! Mike was an incredible instructor. From the first moment you meet him, he will make you feel comfortable that you are in good hands. Not only was he patient and had a deep knowledge of how to handle the shotguns and how best to hit the pigeons, he really took a lot of time to make sure you really had a good time. We spent 3 hours with Mike on Saturday afternoon. We had a group of 7 and Mike helped each one of us out and gave us many tips after every shot and told us what we did wrong. Very good teacher. He’s calm and patient. Especially as a female, I felt comfortable with him. A fair price for the service and he does not rush you through the process. He was respectful and polite. He gave a through background on the laws and the difference between how to protect yourself in way in several scenarios. Highly recommended.
We could not have imagined the amazing time our family had with Mike! He makes everyone feel confident, and his instruction is fantastic. He had us hitting targets within the first half-hour! It was exhilarating and we are very grateful. The field was beautiful and the kids talked about the experience for a couple of days afterward. We will be back!
I went with a group of first timers including myself for something new and fun to do and Mike did not disappoint! He was extremely friendly, patient and would quickly correct our mistakes. It started to snow pretty heavy while we were there and instead of rushing us along he took his time to make us comfortable. We will definitely be coming back!

I read the posts that beat up this place. Seriously? We dont go to rifle ranges religiously, but when I take my daughter, Id rather have someone making sure everyone adheres to the rules and goes home safe, then a place that is lenient and I have to feel unsafe for my daughter and my well being. Such it up and be an adult and adhere to the rules and then everyone goes home safe and happy.
Went for my girlfriend’s birthday and we had an AMAZING time. Some of us had shot before and some of us hadn’t. Mike was super patient and really took the time to teach us. He really wanted us to do well and have fun overall! Will definitely go back again. Well worth the money!

Mike Marelli has that rare ability to communicate. He instinctively understands how to reach your understanding in executing a very challenging skill; hitting a clay pigeon out of the sky. I had tried learning this on my own many times but was met with failure. Today I banged them out of the air with a great feeling of accomplishment. This was due to his ability to reach me. His style is laid back and non- judgmental. He provides positive reinforcement. To his credit I ordered a protective shoulder pad and ammo waist bag in order to continue with this sport. We had an absolute blast with Mike from Long Island TopShots! We came out on a dreary Friday afternoon and had a tons of fun. We wanted to do something totally different to celebrate my sons 13th birthday and this lesson was a total success!! Mike was incredibly informative and had us hitting moving targets in minutes. He has a wide variety of guns to fire which fit a size guests from my 13 year old son to my 60 dad, and everything in between. I would absolutely recommend Mike to a complete beginner like ourselves or for more experienced marksman. Go spend an afternoon with Mike for time you won’t forget.

Mike was amazing! I am a novice when it comes to firearms and Mike was extremely patient and taught me everything from safety, mechanics, accuracy, and range etiquette. By the end of the course I felt extremely confident and was hitting targets spot on. I was a beginner. All eight of us that spent a chilly March afternoon with Mike for our buddy’s bachelor party were beginners. But by the time we were done, we were all shooting the targets with ease. Ive been shooting trap on and off since August of 2016. After taking the winter off and trying to get back into a groove, I found myself with very inconsistent scores. I tried a few tips I found on YouTube and random forums, but ultimately had the best experience taking a lesson with Mike Marelli. Mike is a consummate professional with a passion for all shotgun sports. He helped me to identify some of the key areas where I needed to focus more. Hes a pleasure to learn from and shoot with. Very highly recommended.

What a fun experience!! My son and I have never handled a firearm before and had our first lesson today with Mike, by the end of the lesson we were hitting double targets. Mike was a great teacher who was patient with us, corrected our mistakes quickly and had us hitting our targets consistently. Can’t wait to do it again!!

Mikes very knowledgeable and helpful I was very much improved and impressed with myself by the time I left my lesson. I play one game prior meeting might scored 2/25 embarrassing yes after my lesson I had hit 75/100 he corrected all my issues already booked my next lesson! Definitely recommend him

Perfect Experience from start to Finish! I am a extremely inexperienced shooter and after a handful of games of skeet realized I needed lessons! Mike was unbelievably professional, knowledgeable, fun, and patient. His teaching methods were simple to understand and shockingly effective. It was incredible how much he was able to show me without the lesson being overwhelming. I couldn’t believe how after one class I was able to not only hit the targets but have a better understanding what I did wrong after missing. Mike also took the time to teach me all about the functions and maintenance of my firearm along with protective gear recommendations. The highlight of the experience for me had to be the encouragement and confidence I received from Mike. I can’t wait to get back to the range to apply his teaching and sharpen my skills! Wow - what a blast I had with my 3 children: daughter (20), son (18) and son (15). Michael is a true professional and excellent instructor. I was the only one with experience in firearms but all of my children did better than me and I loved it! Michael was patient with me as I needed to adapt to a different style and because its very different than shooting at a target and before you knew it, I was back in the game!! We will definitely be contacting Michael again for another round of Trap and Skeet. Turn off the phones, get out there and try something new -- you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I had our first skeet shooting lesson with Mike a couple of weeks ago; the entire experience from beginning to end, was incredible!!! I scheduled the lesson having always wanted to learn skeet shooting, but having only gone target shooting ONCE with my husband this past summer. All I have to say is that Mike is the consummate instructor: he explained everything to us in a manner that was clear & concise, including how to play an actual game of skeet. He took his time teaching me the parts of the gun, the ammunition, how the load the gun, etc. That made me feel so much more comfortable handling a loaded weapon.Mike first had us practice shooting clays he set up on the ground. I was not too optimistic on hitting any airborne targets since I only hit 40% of the ones that were stationary! However, Mike’s patience and tutelage was shockingly successful which was evidenced by my hitting 80-85% of those flying orange discs.My husband contacted Mike the following week to get suggestions for a good skeet shotgun (with minimal recoil for me). Mike sent him info on various guns, my husband went out and got one that Mike recommended. Now we can’t wait to schedule another lesson with Mike so I can learn how to shoot with our new gun.I would recommend to anyone who is interested in learning how to skeet shoot or is a bit rusty and needs a refresher to schedule a lesson with Mike. Honestly, if he can teach me to hit as many targets as I did the very first time I’ve ever gone skeet shooting, he can teach ANYONE!!!
