I boarded my shepherd-pitbull mix for 2 days. I did tell her that he jumps on door handles & they sometimes open, but I did not request crating the dog, as I assumed she knew what she was doing. On the 2. day she called me just before I was picking him up that he got out & they couldnt find him yet. She had put him on an enclosed porch with a screen door which he broke as he is large. I live about 12 miles north from her, so my dog is not familiar with the area. We spent the next 4 days looking for him & finally found him in Shoreham which is close to where I live. The dog had travelled across 2 major highways about 10 miles in the direction of his home. We were lucky, but someone else might not be.
