Thanksgiving meal looks different this year for us! We decided to order food delivery for our Thanksgiving Day dinner via Grubhub.I am beyond impressed with his meal considering the restaurant is about a 10min drive away. Food arrived hot and delivery as so FAST!I love the ease of being able to just grab a box of food from the delivery guy than to have to fumble with bags while trying to open my door open. This also means there is less of a chance for the food to tip over during delivery.For those who loves simits, this location makes some of the best sesame ring breads in the area. The shell is crispy and the center is soft and fluffy.The bean salad is so flavorful and refreshing with the sour lemon juice. The beans were cooked to perfection.The down side was my fried mackerel and Sigara boregi, because it was starting to get soggy from the steam.Note to restaurant: Please cut some holes on the plastic lid to allow the steam to escape.Overall, the food is fantastic! And I know exactly what I’ll be ordering next time !!!

Im a lover of Turkish cuisine, and always like to find new places that serve Turkish cuisine; and Cafe Mekan is a 5 star hit, with a simple, casual, and inviting atmosphere.Very friendly and welcoming staff, great corner location on Bergen Blvd with its own parking, and the menu is full of Turkish delicacies that will leave you wanting more and more.We tried the Sarma which is served hot (most places serve it cold) - and it was very flavorful and delicious. Lachmacun was absolutely perfect - hot, crispy, perfectly seasoned and light. Chicken Kebab with rice and salad was also tender, juicy, and very flavorful.Dessert was Turkish Coffee, Eclairs - and a super creamy, perfectly sweet, vanilla-ish Rice Pudding (which was perfection to my taste buds).Prices are EXCELLENT - and overall it was an experience that I will be sure to have again in the very near future!5 STARS

I appreciate that a lot esp not seeing such service in Nj period, but working in hospitality industry. Food is excellent I order usually to go for myself and my little ones. They always go extra mile with adding smth sweet ) big thanks.I willkeep trying more dishes. Their meats are so tender and nicely marinated.

The restaurant is tidy and clean. There is a store includes Turkish products. I’ve never seen it dirty or a mess. Not only is the food here great, the owner is a really friendly guy as well as waitresses too. Its a cozy place, amazing food and they’re really fast👍

I was really impressed with the mix grill. Kofte was awesome, and so was the others too. Big fan. Ill definitely visit again.

I don’t like to put complaints or bad reviews but People there very rude,food was not good they gave the wrong order and I was trying to fix it and they just gave us attitude they just don’t care.. I don’t recommend it to nobody to go there many others Turkish restaurants in the area to go not that place very unsatisfied 👎🏾

I found this place when I was walking in the neighbourhood.. staff was very welcoming and they kept giving good treats from the house :) Sutlac ( rice pudding) was on another level. It was the best I ever had. Chicken shish kabob was amazing and very well marinated. Now, I come here at least twice a week and literally stay until they close. It feels very cozy in this place. Keep up the great service!!

As someone who loves Turkish cuisine, I definitely recommend it. It is a great place with its main meals, desserts and snacks. Its employees are also very kind and caring. Free take-out service also provides convenience to those who do not have time or are far from the Cafe Mekan. Love u guys 💕

Never written a review before but I enjoyed it so much I have to! Very kind staff (got a free bagel which was delicious) and great outdoor warm space perfect for covid winter. Will come back!

My favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the area! We’ve tried many dishes and loved them all. If you haven’t had a chance to try their food, call and place an order. They deliver locally and you can also pick up from the restaurant. The restaurant is nice and the servers are very friendly and attentive.

Wow! Just tried this place for the first time today, and my whole family loved it. We got mix appetizers plus a couple hot entrees. Everything was delicious, and we will be sure to order again soon.

Can’t even talk about the food because I never got it. After waiting an hour of it saying my food is on the way (total wait time was hour and a half), I finally called to get a status update. They hung up on me and wouldn’t pick up the phone afterwards no matter how many times I called. Awful customer service. Based on that, I can imagine the food isn’t great either since they don’t seem to care about customers.

This was my first time here. The staff was very friendly and attentive to us. The food was great, especially the Adana Kebab. Will definitely be going back again.

Excellent local place to socialize and enjoy a nice meal. Food is prepared fresh to order. Prices were fair but can be a little better. 15$ for Kokorec is a little pricey however, the food was very tasty. Our Server Rumesya was fabulous. She attended to all our needs and was very sweet and helpful. Would definitely go again.

One of my favorite places to get lunch. All the dishes are great. I love the kokorec and the shrimp in garlic sauce.

Great service and food. If youre looking for turkish cuisine, here is the best place. The owner will welcome you at the door and servers are super friendly. After eating kofte kebab I ordered turkish coffee. They said its a turkish tradition. They know what they should do. I would highly recommend.

When I went to this place for a job application, I made an application that the assistant cook would be taken. Symptom I am a breakfast master, I am also making appetizers, I did not accept it was worse than firing my disrespectful colleague, neither will I start with that dawn operation 👎👎👎 I do not take into account that you are firing my master wife from the table.

They heat the frozen food and give it to us, the expression on the employees faces is disgrace as if we are forced to work.

As if its a warm friendly place in Turkey. Everyone is instantly friends with each other, the employees are friendly, the chat is very nice beyond the service, the food is delicious and the menu is very wide. What more can you get :) Everything was very good, health to your hands.
