I used them again yesterday moving within Jersey City.GOM was highly responsive throughout the whole process from scheduling, COI, prior reminder, and day off.GOM was highly efficient. From the minute they showed up to my door, all of the workers have been extremely friendly and helpful in disassembling all of the furniture, placing and packing everything in boxes carefully (making sure to bubble wrap everything), and ultimately moving things into the new place. I had always used korean services to keep it in the community ✌ but last few times were a OK experience or they broke things Needed moving within LIC, from a 2nd fl walk up to another. I had about a studio size worth of furniture and a lot of heavy boxes.I made an appointment about a week ahead which was followed up by a confirmation a day before. When making a price quote, I did it thru their website which is very convenient and precise on what you have. And they reached me via email AND a phone call which was a very good communication on their side.The day comes, two very nice gentlemen showed. They were very careful with glass and mirror furnitures. UPDATE 8/12/20: The most horrible moving experience Ive had. I arranged with the company to have my 1 bedroom packed and shipped to Korea while I was out of the country due to the pandemic. Because they advertised overseas shipment, moving, and packing services I thought this was a reputable and trustworthy place. Long story short most of my belonging were damaged/shattered/carelessly packaged. And they refused to take responsibility for it. Please pay attention to the 1 star reviews, at this rate I dont even trust all of their past 5 star reviews because right after my review went up they obviously uploaded fake reviews after mine..I mean come on using the same name 3 times but with different capitalizations? At least be covert about it at this point.1. I paid around $1000 which included packing services and while I thought that was a high quote, I expected great service and care to go into the packing, and standard moving boxes at the least. Unfortunately there was no rhyme or reason to the way things were packed into the box. You would at least expect in a overseas shipment for things like glass, ceramic, and camera to be wrapped in bubble wrap but for them to arrive wrapped in thin sheets of paper - of course things were definitely broken and smashed upon arrival. Camera lens broken, picture frames broken, ceramic pieces chipped and cracked - not to mention objects that were of sentimental value like posters/artworks on the wall to have been crumpled and shoved into the corner of the box carelessly, obviously damaging the work.2. Objects seemed to have been shoved and thrown into boxes carelessly without protecting anything with bubble wrap or organizing things in a way that made sense. And I would have expected at least a basic level of professionalism. Books/documents were scattered in the box, and a lot of corners damaged. Not to mention flat ceramic pieces shoved in between books, OBVIOUSLY damaging the book that was being sent. If I had to pay $1000 for packing/moving services I would have at least expected standard thick boxes, bubble wrap, and neatly organized and placed objects. Basically what normal and decent moving services are supposed to provide. Common sense things like basic organization, hard cardboard dividers to have kept the books in place when they were in shipment. Imagine receiving something and finding damaged books literally scattered everywhere in a half filled box.3. I couldnt understand why they would use thin cardboard boxes for shipping internationally. When I moved between states in the US I used thick standard cardboard boxes for moving. These boxes were less than 0.4mm thick (less than 0.2 inches thick) - so of course when things arrived there were holes and some objects sticking out. How does that make any sense? To use thin cardboard boxes especially for something to be shipped overseas?4. After explaining to them all of the damages - they continued to tell the story of how it was first the US border patrol and customs to blame. Stating that they threw away the bubble wrap, explaining why we found everything wrapped in paper. This was the first phone call made. The second phone call made, they switched their story and said it was the Korean customs fault. We called both the US and Korean customs, and they confirmed to us on the phone that our boxes were definitely not opened if they did not have a sticker and label with either the US/Korean customs logo on it. All our boxes, except one which wasnt wrapped with any material did not have the sticker label showing that they were inspected. Even after explaining this, they told us that it was a mystery and that they had no involvement - refusing to take responsibility as a moving company and for the boxes that THEY had personally packed. Instead they tried to change the story again, and redirect us to useless information trying to get us to call and complain to the delivery companies.

We hired Gom Moving for a move within tri-state area, but technically cross-state.They were very efficient through out the move. My building didnt allow us to reserve the elevator, so they had to pack and wait at the elevator each time, but they didnt complain at all and was very efficient!All boxes and furnitures are moved without any damage. They not only wrapped furnitures for protection, but also disassembled / assembled our furnitures, which saved us a lot of time and effort.I also love how straight forward their pricing model is. Many other companies we got quotes demanded transportation fee (tolls and gas), extra charge for bringing box up the stairs (even for the 2nd floor in a single house), extra charges per hour, etc. Gom Moving gave us a simple one number that covers everything (except tips, of course), which was also very competitive price.Were very glad that we chose them and will definitely hire them again in the future!

I just spoke with a front person and the manager, but their pricing is extremely unreasonable. They have first said that 24 feet truck is $900, and since my furnitures are expensive, they need to use more plastic wrapping paper and the blanket plus they need to be extra careful hence they quoted as $5000! More than five times of the regular price just because my furniture are expensive....?? So people who have a regular price are supposed to have ok treatment? They have insurance to cover up to 2 million dollars! The front person first told that it would be 3-4 times more if my furniture are expensive ones, then I asked why, then he again said 2-3 times more. Then he asked to send photos to the manager, and the manager estimated it as $5000. I have never heard of such an expensive pricing ANYWHERE. I have called several other moving companies to compare the price, and this company quoted ridiculously higher than others. Definitely not recommending. Plus the manager just hung up the phone because he had no explanation other than it is company policy, which is very unclear and vague points. Whatever they call it a policy is very unclear and it is unreasonable that they quote more than 5 times of the regular price. NONSENSE!

Most affordable but fast and good moving service with license and insurance(I moved into coop bd and those are must have things, and most other movers with full license with insurance are beyond expensive!!!). For past 8 years Ive been asking for the service for 3 times already(hopefully this will be my last!), always they came earlier to make sure if we can use the service elevator within booked time and wrapped my furniture thoroughly not to make any dirt and scratches with blankets and wraps. Love the service and my moving ended so fast and safe! Always 5 stars!!! Hope I dont have to book them any more but if I need again, they are on the top of my list for sure.

This was by far the most ideal moving experience I have always wanted. When I was on call with booking agent he didnt force me to pay more anything and he explained well enough for me to choose economic option for my size. I m moving from one bed to two beds apt and I have quite a lot of stuff but 17 feet truck was enough. I packed everything and all they did was moving. 4 of the guys were on time and move quickly. They wowed me with their rapid action and delicate care on boxes and furnitures. They certainly look professional to me. They wrapped all my stuff including sofa, bed, table, cabinets, chairs, tv and closet. And none of them got damaged! Honestly I am not sure what will happen after I unpack everything but at this point, Gom Cargo is the best moving company i have ever worked with. My recommendation is up in the sky!

Every time I moved, the moving companies I’ve tried using would pull something ridiculous on me last minute, on the day of the move. Their lack of professionalism always left me disappointed and upset so I had to switch from company to company every time. I decided to give Gomcargo a try because it had good reviews, and a close friend of mine had used their services recently and was very satisfied. When I called Gomcargo to get a quote and make arrangements, the owner of the company answered and he was incredibly courteous and helpful. He told me to call him anytime during the day of the move if there was anything that made me feel uncomfortable or unhappy.I chose the option where the movers pack my stuff into containers for me, and the movers that arrived at my place on the day of the move were two Korean men (very fit and seemed to have the muscle strength for heavy lifting) and one Spanish-speaking man. In my previous experience with Korean moving companies, the movers that’d come would be one Korean man (the director) and the rest would be Spanish-speaking employees.The movers arrived right on time, and they finished packing everything in just 2.5 hours. The original estimate I was given for packing was 3-4 hours. It’s amazing because although my place is a 1-bedroom, I have enough stuff that could fit in a 2-bedroom.I asked if I could help out with anything while they were packing, and I was told to relax on the couch and do whatever I needed to do while waiting. It was clear that the 3 men had everything under control and were very efficient. So I just sat near my bed and read while they packed and loaded everything. Usually moving days are stressful times, but I was amazed that I could feel so comfortable and chill.At the new apartment I was moving into, the movers placed all my furniture at the places that I asked them to, and they properly placed the containers where they belonged – i.e. containers with stuff from my old bedroom were put into my new bedroom, containers with stuff from my old living room were put into my new living room, etc. All my stuff was so carefully packed into each container that nothing was damaged.After it was all done, I talked on the phone with the owner of Gomcargo and he asked me if I had any difficulty with the movers, or if there were any mistakes. He made sure I felt comfortable with the whole experience.It’s hard to find a moving company in the United States where the quality of service compares to that of companies in Korea (which are known for customer satisfaction, thoroughness, and ease of use). But Gomcargo simply blew me away. I am 200% satisfied, and though I thanked the owner many times on the day of my move, I want to take this opportunity to express my thankfulness once again for the great experience with my move.

Today I just moved to GOM. I made a reservation for 8:00 in the morning, but it came in exactly 4 minutes and moved the moving items very carefully and even serviced in a slightly larger size than the truck I requested. It was carefully packed and moved without any scratches on the furniture in 3 hours until 11pm. The price was better than other moving companies, and all 4 people helped us with a bright expression and friendly attitude throughout the work. I really recommend it!!!

The packaging director made me so happy! Even though we had a lot of luggage, the people who worked there never complained and continued to work while smiling until the end. The boss makes the price reasonable without being ripped off. Please do it again next time!

It was really the worst moving service.I have moved in the US a few times, but I made a reservation saying that it would be reliable because it is operated by Koreans.When I received my luggage, I was in a bad mood when I booked it with the packing of the luggage in the studio and the delivery service to Korea. It came out for $2800? In addition, the packaging cost is $1000. I dont use any $1000 dollar bubble wrap, and the box itself is thin, so almost everything came in a ruined state.Camera.. plate.. book.. all of them are broken/broken.. Its not furniture, its small items.Even when I made a reservation, I definitely asked, there are cameras and fragile items-is it possible to include insurance?They said, “Don’t worry about insurance, you’re sure to pack things well and send them to me.I took pictures of the broken items and sent them, why arent all the items properly packaged? I asked why I didnt use any bubble wrap.They obviously used bubble wrap, but they are telling us that the Korean/US customs opened the boxes and discarded the bubble wrap.In addition, I have to file a complaint with the US/Korean customs, but it was too expensive, so he returned me $2 million.Its ridiculous.. I didnt believe anything, so I called the US/Korean customs directly.They say that they give the shipping number and check that the baggage they sent has been inspected, but they say that none of the boxes have been inspected.None of the boxes were opened.The moving center called again and told the US/Korean customs that the boxes were not inspected and opened.. Where did the bubble wrap go?If you lied to a customer, you have to admit it. You have no responsibility and it is so absurd to continue to ooze.Besides, it means that Korean couriers have opened up all 7 boxes and discarded the bubble wrap... Does it make sense?How do I keep lying without feeling guilty... Im so angry.I left a review in English, then called my father in Korea and bothered me to write a review...In the end, I checked the $200 returned, and it wasnt even refunded, and the $200 deposit fee I paid when I made a reservation was not included in the total moving cost.No different from a scammer
