The walmart in Ridgeland is my neighborhood store. I placed an order for a cake on October the 15, 2021, to be made on October 30. The experience that day was not a good one. Before placing my order I experienced the woman in the bakery being rude to two other people, then rude and short with me also. The manager, I believe her name was Hurtestine was extremely nice and helpful in resolving my issue with the rude employee. I called the store on October 29th to confirm my order. The young lady confirmed my order and was very pleasant. When I went to go pick up the cake I was informed that it was not ready and I couldnt have it at my scheduled time. He said it would take until12:30 to get the cake. I proceeded to go get the manager to speed up the process. Evidently the man I spoke to was a manager, but he was over the Deli. Evidently the baker wasnt even scheduled to come in until 12, and was not there as of yet. When I placed my order it was written on a piece of paper with another order for the previous day, so the baker had to know she had an order at 12 that day. They both seemed very indifferent about the order. Upset and not wanting to spend my money with Walmart, I put down the other items that I planned to purchase and went looking for a cake for my 4 year old grandson. So his spiderman party had the cake shown, instead of what I was hoping for. Why isnt there more than one person that can dress a cake? If she was going to be at work at 12, why didnt she dress the cake the day before? Why isnt anyone cross trained for this job, even a manager to prevent this kind of incident. Very disappointed, wont be seeing me for a while, you dont deserve my money. Pictured is my grandson dressed as spiderman for his day.

Pretty much a self serve experience. Everything is easy to find and the employees are friendly. I give 4 stars because its all but impossible to get someone to the dressing rooms and jewelry in the evenings and that check your receipt is silly

The only complaint I have is that this location has been slipping on the keeping them shelves stocked. The associates are friendly and helpful and the store is clean

I am not from this area so I do not know how it normally looks but it was not good. There were no bags anywhere to bag Tomatoes, Onions etc. Not one bag and no one working there seemed to notice. The music was way too loud. We were stopped by other customers who were also very annoyed by it. Shelves were half way stocked. We spent about $30 and should have purchased $130 worth. We just wanted to get out.

Service was impeccable, our waitress Cheryl seated us and took excellent care of us throughout the entire meal. I had the Prime Rib and it was delicious cooked to perfection. My friend had the Ribeye and he said is was excellent also. I will definitely return to try some of the seafood specials next time

This is the worst store of them all. All their items in the soft drinks hasnt matched for months now it would say a price to get you to buy it and then rip you off at the register.They had a register open and the lady said she only take cards. Then the staff at another register lazy talking on phone cant hear the customer. They really should get a new manager to organize in take into strive what this franchise is about and the way to run it.

I shop at this location all of the time. The only issue that I have really encountered is as most places not ever seeming to find an associate for assistance on the sales floor.

I always enjoy the selection in Walmart. Truth be told no one wants to deal with self checkout. If they dont get cashiers soon Im going elsewhere.

Its very old. Needs a. Upgrade. Only one cashier line open. Self checkout line around and down the line. Not good for a Saturday.

Not a bad Walmart but surely isn’t one of the best it’s good for a quick stop but if trying to make groceries shopping for clothes etc. i recommend Byram, Madison, or Clinton Walmart

This place was stocked with supplies, and had plenty of workers to help the customers. I would recommend this store to shop, I found mostly everything on my list with the expectation of a few items.

This store need to Start over with new managers/ team managers. Leadership is definitely the problem. Just because you are a team lead doesn’t give you the right to be rude arrogant, unpleasant, unprofessional and argumentative to your customers. My experiences is that they are always mean spirited and seem to hate their job or don’t want to be there or help you. Get rid of them and bring in a more diverse and all different races of leaders and workers. Every time I go in this store it’s a problem. They address you like “it is what it is”, I said what I said and if you don’t like it leave. There is never empathy, apologies, thank you for shopping with us, come again, hey how you doing. Which is so pathetic and dumb because folks are in there spending their hard earned money... $200 to $300 dollars and they have that “I don’t care attitude “. I have never been in a store where all employees have bad attitudes, rude and out right nasty. Worst store ever (Wheatley/Ridgeland Ms) just horrible! is poorly management...District manager need to come in and take a really good look at employees starting with leads... I will NOT be going back to Wheatley /Ridgeland Ms store.. it’s an embarrassment... although it’s the closest. Mgrs, workers, parking lot, cocky attitudes, cleanliness, stocking, quality..etc...I will be driving 7 miles to the Madison grand view store... it’s so nice and the atmosphere is beautiful!My experience this past Sunday was I had a manager with ghetto behaviors.. be argumentative with me as a customer. Very poor customer service. She needs training . I guess she was having a bad day that she had to get on register to check out customers. I’ve noticed her demeanor in there before being mean with no rapport with customers and talking down to other employees.

Store was very clean. I was able to get what I needed. In and out on my lunch break. There was plenty of registers open. Therefore no waiting in line.

DO NOT TRUST ANY PRICE ON THE SHELF THEY WILL CHARGE WIHAT THEY WANT AND WILL NOT HONOR ANYTHING FALSLY ADVERTISED EVEN IF THEY STOCK IT FULL AND DONT HAVE ANYTHING OF THAT PRICE LISTED ANYWHERE ON THE ISLE WITH ANY OF THIER MERCHANDISE

Not liking having to stand in line if Im paying cash, and REALLY not too happy about the other nite when I went and it was about 10 pm. I was paying cash and self checkout was card only, and all the cashier were closed. The self checkout attendant told me to come back tomorrow. Just because I was paying with cash?Not good business Walmart!

WalMart is normally good about having what I need. Lately the shelves have been bare. I do understand that they are short of help due to the pandemic so I gave them a 4. I just wish they would have more check out lanes open than the self check-out because it takes forever to check out when the computer feels assistance is needed and the employees are nowhere around.

When will Walmart utilize all of the registers they have. Stood in line for 10 min. only to get to checkout and cashier leaves without saying anything to go get change.

So I decided to try the delivery option lesson learned NEVER again. 1st they were out of a couple of the name brand items I ordered and wanted me to get the Walmart brand as a substitute. I also ordered catfish it was SPOILED and the person still thought it ok to put in my items to be delivered! Sorry club Walmart never again.

This Walmart never is fully, or even close to halfway stocked. A lot of the employees have attitudes or say rude things under their breath about customers (I’ve seen it/heard it) and to top it all off, they never answer the phone if you call for any time of help. I let me phone ring for 5 minutes just to have them hang up in my face. This Walmart needs a serious makeover

Visiting Jackson MS shopping with Grandsons, and ask the retail clerk about fnaf plush, he said, I dont work in this department but I will get you a person that can help you, you called and within seconds a young lady was on the aisle, giving us information, their store was out of them at the moment, then she gave us the two Walmart stores that had them in stock. Thank You Walmart for having employees ready to help us customers.

Every single time I go there they do not have riding carts. Other than that it is a great place to shop as long as you are not disabled like me.

The experience would have been perfect if they had more than 1 register open. Only 1 was open, had plenty of employees finding something to do,self check out lines was going back off in produce section. Makes no sense that a place like Wal-Mart has this kind of slow service especially at this early time of day. Was around 1145am left at around 1230pm.

Pick up is a bit slower compared to Madison and Canton but nice staff and service.

Its good place to buy all the household products at single place.

Went in looking for a mans t shirt in an olive green color to match my dress and was successful! Ended up also finding pullovers on clearance for $3. A win win!

Ive been to this location twice. Nothing different from the other Walmarts except Ive noticed more variety, cleanliness and things are pretty well stocked. The only annoying thing is at night time, they have on register open and the self check out only has like three working and it can get busy with customers. Check out was like twenty minutes. Id still go here again though!!

The self checkout was card only at each check out so I had to get in one of the few opened lines with actual cashiers and each line had ppl with a lot of grocery in their baskets. One of my poorer experiences.

I guess Walmart feels that there is no more COVID because it appears that they no longer sanitize the shopping carts and the sanitizer wipes are always empty.If you go to this store in the middle of the day and need an employees help finding an item........good luck finding an employee to help you.The music that is playing through the intercom system is always entirely too loud......Must be trying to have dance club atmosphere.The good news is that at least they had 3 cashiers were working because normally they are trying to force you to use SELF checkout.Many stores besides Walmart are eliminating jobs by pushing and or expanding self checkout lanes butI am not employed by Walmart so I DO NOT use self checkout.

Went to the clearance section scored a bunch of end of season deals on pool floats and the like. Oya also picked up some motor oil.

On star cause I cant give no stars or negative stars Im here waiting for 1 hour and a half for someone to sell me a fishing license and still no one come walmart should hire more people. Selection of piles is limited and the store looks ugly like a tornado just passed thru here. I assure you go shop somewhere else anywhere else but this store.

Asked an employee where were the car window shades he said he didnt know. Asked a second time after searching he stated that he didnt know what they were. I asked a second employee I was completely annoyed. Took my business to the Walmart in Madison. They were a lot nicer.

Went in to get several things,,,,one which was a charging cable for my phone. Back in electronics store employees not working,,,,everyone that was standing thought it was really funny that I could not find one in the bunches that would help me 😡😠🤬!!!! This is about the third time this has happened to me!!! Tried asking for a SUPERVISOR and I was told NO SUPERVISOR was working tonight . I would not be so critical,,,,but this is what going on. It as no-one cares about the customer service 😒.I am really going to campaign what happens when you go to WALMART in Ridgeland, Ms.

This Walmart is pretty efficient. More self checkout stations and the actually have enough tenants if you need some help. Those lanes are always open the add extra space in the bagging area so as not to alarm the machine if have a lot.

They finally had carts, look there are a lot of disabled people that goes to Walmart they know the problem but refuses to take action this the first time I go and the Hostess did her job and recommend that I take one of there newer carts so I say 5stars to the Hostess at this Walmart she had some real compassion for the less fortunate the person that needs the cart to this Billion dollar company that that doesnt accommodate the Disabled but this lady of kindness was priceless

I love this store.... but....Yesterday the shelves were barren. Not sure why but if this is something that happens monthly because of government assistance (food stamps) the management should have extra resources ready to restock the shelves and the items that are commonly sold out ready to go. But I couldnt even get sliced ham in the sandwich meat section or the deli.I live this store and the employees are wonderful. Management needs to tighten up. You got all the resources in you possession, use them!

Shelves are half stocked most of the time, shopping carts are all over the parking lot, none at the door.

We did not get a chance to go around and look at the complete store.

The only good thing about this location is that its convenient for folks on this side of town. Sadly, everything else is a negative. There are never enough cashiers at any time of day or night, and in fact there never seems to be enough workers at all in the entire store. Even half the self-checkout registers are broken at any given time, so you still have to wait in line for that, too. They seem half stocked in most departments, so you cant find half the things you are looking for.Do yourself a favor and give this store a pass. Hit up the Madison or Flowood stores, both of which are way better run. Only come here if you arent in a hurry or its something really common to get; its a dice-shoot finding anything special or getting out with it in a timely manner.

Was able to check out quickly, because of Costumer Service.

While people were still being allowed to come in manager told me I couldnt get into one of the two open cash lines as she then told one of the two cashiers to pull her drawer. I was penalized for not having a debit card because self check out only took cards. If they were closing why were people still being allowed in? Mgmt was rude disrespectful and started getting loud with me first. I will not give them another dime.

Horrible, ignorant and extremely lazy staff. I only wanted to purchase a cell phone. Already had the model picked out.Stood at the clerk desk for 30 minutes. Buzzing for assistance at the counter. 8 employees walked right by me and even made eye contact.Needless to say after the 30 minutes, i approached a clerk to ask about the phone. And she interrupted me repeating over and over again essential items onlyWorst walmart trip of my life.

It was clutter and shelves were down in some area and clothes were just all over the place in the baby area. But the staff were helpfull.

Always out if stock, rude employees & very poor customer service. I would gladly drive to Madison, Flowood, Pearl or Richland any day!

This particular one has its pros and cons. Its small and doesnt carry the same variety of products as the Supercenters, it also has a more limited stock. They always have a large variety of random things on their clearance isles tho, and most of the time, if I check there first, Ill find at least one of the items on my list there. Delivery service is so-so. Sometimes theyre spot on, sometimes theyre not. Ive found that I have much better luck if I place the order during a lull. (Tuesdays, anywhere from 10 am to 2pm seemed to work best for me.)Pickup could really use an overhaul.

This Walmart needs help, not clean in a couple of hours before closing the small self checkout line is the only thing that open. No covid 19 restrictions in place so if older or sickly you may want to avoid this store at night.
