Per my kids : best breakfasts place in universe. Muffins were yummy and French toasts too. From a grown up perspective- simply, very good quality and tasty food. Kids friendly. Muffins are amazing. Very nice and warm service. I can’t believe that we haven’t been there before.
The food was terrible and the service as bad. Before ordering I asked if the pastrami was lean. I was told “ ours is always very lean”. Well, it was the fattest I have ever seen. The waitress was not attentive.The best I can say is the place was clean.

Always fresh good food and pleasant service (with masks on) at this local neighborhood upscale diner/restaurant where you can get breakfast All Day! Yummy gourmet omelettes are my favorites, and you can create your own.Reservations are not required. It has ample seating indoors and outdoors. If you cant find metered parking in the front, there is always free parking lot in the back. Bon Appetit!!

Being on quarantine we sometimes order a pick up from Daily Treat. Their food is delicious! And portions are good for two. It is such a pleasure to have such a yummy dinner! People who work there are wery friendly and helpful. Feeling grateful!

It has been and always will be the best place in Ridgewood to have a nice, reliable meal. The owners are ageless. The service and food are outstanding. I dont live in Ridgewood anymore, I live on the West Coast, and I can tell you there is nothing like the Daily Treat up and down the coast. Its always my 1st stop when I come home to visit family.
I had ordered through GrubHub and the driver seemed to be getting farther and farther away. Someone from Daily Treat was nice enough to deliver our order and they even remade items that had been sitting too long. Another reason to love Daily Treat!! Hopefully we will be able to dine in person soon!

I love Daily Treat - it has a wonderful local feeling to it in the midst of the market typical Ridgewood restaurants. Food is very good and the prices are reasonable. My favorite is the Reuben sandwich - it’s delicious and by far the best I’ve had anywhere.I would definitely recommend if you want some good diner food at reasonable prices in Ridgewood.
From the moment you enter that place the personel give you an agreeable feeling. Very congenial hosts, it is a good restaurant to enjoy with buddies or with your date. very good cooking, creative chief cook and stuff, good price and professional service. Highly recommended.
The service in this restaurant was good. Unfortunately the food taste like sadness. Very plain, and not very creative with their dishes. Hash browns tasted like nothing. Veggies in the wrap were hard and very under cooked. I’ve had better breakfast food. Will not be coming back.

I have never even been to this diner but after reading the responses back from the owner on honest reviews I’m even more disgusted than I am from the pictures of the food. This doesn’t even look like a clean place to eat in general and the owner doesn’t make it any better. Whoever it is responding back to the reviews in such a sarcastic manner is a butt hurt child and does not deserve the business. May have been around for 60 years but if you are unable to take criticism you will not be around much longer. God bless
Daily treat has an excellent menu. The offering of meals from breakfast, lunch, brunch, and a quick sandwich or burger for supper to a great meal with salad or soup, and a delicious main meal with veggies. Breakfast is available all day. Its one of my most favorite places to eat any meal at least once a week. Take out is convenient and delivery is available.

My family has been going to this restaurant since I was in grammar school (many, many years). The food is excellent, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is very pleasant. They have a large, varied menu, and Ive never had anything there that wasnt very good.
Sort of the spot to go to when youre trying to figure out where youre going. For me, the quintessential New Jersey diner. Mainly, longer than it should be menu, with many offerings, trying to revolve around a continental type of cuisine with random other offerings, probably based on the chef or owners actual tastes. Not really sure. The food is good, as in served quickly, how you like it, though probably not very memorable. The place is clean, and generally has a comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere. I think the ubiquity of this place can be seen in the various nicknames given to it, both good and bad, that reinforce whether or not you want to eat here, you probably eventually will.
I always get takeout from here and everything tastes incredible. My personal favorites are the mushroom-Swiss burger and the turkey club sandwich. The owners are so friendly and sweet!

We have been going to the Daily Treat since we moved into Ridgewood in 1979. It is the best go to place to eat if youre not looking for a fancy place to dine, just comfortable......always busy so you know the food is fresh..John, Demi & Gus are a nice a you can get! The help is always pleasant and very friendly!! The food is always fresh and the prices are reasonable...not inflated like some local pancake houses that serve such ridiculous sized pancakes you cant even finish. Oh and the lines to get into those places totally nuts waiting.......at the Daily Treat there is never more than a few minutes wait, if that!

Food was ok. Typical diner with a bit of a old school feel to it. Had your usual menu items with a side of hospitality added which I liked. Waitresses had smiles and the oj tasted pretty fresh

Its a daily Mistreat.Bad food. Went there for brunch. The eggs had very strong egg stench. I had a momentary lapse of judgement and ordered a burger. You would think they would make their own patty. Im pretty sure they used a store bought frozen patty. I had one bite and couldnt eat anymore. The waitress didnt even bother to ask what was wrong, let alone offering to take it off the bill. This place is not as busy as the other 2 brunch places nearby. This is a family diner which serves no frills breakfast that I have no problem supporting.And if theres a wait for table it is usually not that long. It even easier if you are by yourself or with another person. you can easily snag a spot on the counter.I ordered the walnut and banana french toast. I wish the walnut was toasted and the banana was cut and placed on top of toast. Next time Id would just save the extra $ and order the french toast.
