Great tour from Kristi and Josh! Kristi was our main tour guide on the shores of Black Hawk Beach. We had a fantastic time snorkeling in the reefs! She took the wife and I on a great tour for the honeymoon, our destination was to see some nurse sharks, and while they didnt quite make an appearance they did see Sea Turtles and a string ray. Not to mention countless schools of fish and other coral reef life. While there we found really cool brain coral!

One thing we learned about diving in PR is dont necessarily expect a call back. The people are nice enough but there is always a wall there. From our experience Great Escape is not like that. My wife and I had a very personal and great experience. The dive shop as well as the Dive masters were awesome. They personalized the dive to us, giving us the best experience possible in less than desirable conditions . Not only that afterwards we had a couple of drinks exchanged pics and they gave us the low down on what we should do while here. Good local knowledge is hard to beat. The quality of the divemaster was awesome, knowledgeable but not cocky. You wont go wrong at all with Great Escape.

We had a Discover Scuba experience with GEPR. Robert was our Instructor and I cannot recommend him and the place enough. They were absolutely fantastic from start to finish.Very professional and a very good experience overall

I dont often leave positive reviews, I just kinda move on with my life when there arent any issues I suppose; but I wanted to take a minute and highlight this very good SCUBA operation in Puerto Rico.Ive been a PADI diver for 30 years and have enjoyed the sport tremendously, and I have to give praise to Great Escape Puerto Rico for the excellent dive instruction and guidance for both myself and my friends. We were all well equipped and briefed by Robert (the owner), and had an excellent time diving with him. He has excellent knowledge of the dive sites on the south and west ends of the island, and steered us to the best places for the water conditions.I also witnessed some of his instruction with students in PADIs Discover Scuba Diving program, and I wish my initial dive instruction had been half as good! Robert gave excellent instruction to those students, and while that does not mean that the students will be able to overcome their own fears about the ocean/diving and be able to complete the course - it certainly isnt because of a lack of skill or instruction on the part of Robert or his staff. Bravo Zulu to Great Escape Puerto Rico!

Excellent service and great prices! I booked a 2 tank guided tour and it was well worth it! Robert was super helpful in getting me booked and Vito was an excellent guide! 10/10 would recommend for first timers and experienced divers. I’ll definitely be back!

Everyone should scuba dive sometime in their life! Honestly, it was an unforgettable experience. We got to see the beautiful reefs of steps beach in Rincon, Puerto Rico and the various types of fish that live there. This of course was done in a safe and fun manner.The instructor Robert is a genuinely great guy. He explains everything so well before going in, that you will feel comfortable and at ease when you dive with him. Once underwater, he takes it slow and constantly checks with you to make sure you feel comfortable at all times.Will do it again in a near future, and I highly recommend it!

Thanks a lot, we were 1 hour late to our appointment and guys let us finish later. The water is shallow,so we saw the sea floor and no big problems if you flip over or swim from the kayak. The kayaks are in great condition.  The guys are very accomodating: helped us to park (was not easy to find the exact spot as each home looked the same way, so remember well where you start off). The water in the spot is super calm, it is easy to navigate yet it is  picturesque around.

GREAT EXPERIENCE AND GREAT INSTRUCTORThere is not enough time or space here to tell you how much I enjoyed this adventure. I did the PADI Open Water Scuba Certification Course with Rob. Rob was an excellent instructor and great guy with tons of scuba experience.We started the week off in the pool. We spent about 6-8 hours the first day perfecting each skill. Days 2-4 were in the ocean at Stella Beach. Some days the weather was better than others. But it didnt matter. We were in the water each day doing all the skills and the dives. My family came and joined us on a Discover Scuba Course on Day 3 with their instructor Eric.Rob tells you like it is. If he doesnt think that you have acquired a skill, he wont let you move on until you get it perfectly. His top priority is teaching the RIGHT way to do all the scuba skills so that you have a safe and fun dive everytime.I didnt realize all the skills that I was going to learn throughout my 4 days with Rob. Looking back I cant believe that I actually did all of them. I had to take off all my equipment underwater and put it back on. Take off my mask and swim without it. Amongst a handful of other hard skillsScuba diving is not for everyone but it is definitely for ME. I will hopefully be returning to take all of the advanced PADI courses.I would 100% recommend Rob at Great Escapes Rincon Puerto RIco for any and all water adventures.Thanks Again Rob for everything,Rich, OC Maryland

My son and I had an amazing time scuba diving with Robert off Steps Beach! Everything was so accessible and easy. Low stress. He was knowledgeable, patient, fun, and courteous. It had been a while since we had dived, so he reminded us of the important basics and kept us safe. He also made it really fun by helping us find all kinds of cool stuff on the reef. On top of all that, Robert took some great pics to help us remember our awesome dive. I would definitely dive again with Robert!

Robert was an amazing and patient guide. For a beginner he made sure he walked me through the skills of scuba diving very carefully and in details. I can’t wait to come back for more.

These guys were awesome! Very patient with me during the practice when I was panicking a little. To others who may panic, you’re fine! These guys stay right by you and help you out if you’re struggling with something!I felt so safe with them. The reef was beautiful, plenty of pretty fish and sea life.Watch out for the anemones, they sting! Haha!Really wonderful experience!

We originally signed up to snorkel with Robert, but there were two tropical storms that passed through the area. He was communicative and flexible, and also worked with us to try to reschedule times outside of his normally posted session times to try to get the session in. What Im saying is, theyre really easy to work with and we cant wait to return to Rincon to hit them up for activities!

I have a few dives under my belt with Robert. He is super knowledgeable, patient and safety conscious. I also like that the company is actually certified by the DRNA to do the scuba and snorkeling tours on the reserve. This means that part of the money goes back into preserving the amazing reefs of Rincon. I highly recommend them for your water adventures!

Rob took my daughter & I scubadiving yesterday, and he was great. Very knowledgeable, fun, friendly — we saw 3 morays & a gigantic coconut crab, will definitely go out w him again.

We initially contacted Robert & Great Escape to do a shore dive to get our bearings after not diving for a few years. Diago met us at Stella Beach and was very friendly, helpful and fun to dive with. He told us about some boat diving further south and contacted us later in the week to set up dives is Guanica. We had two fantastic dives in Guanica. Very relaxed and fun. Got to see the beautiful reefs, fish, sharks, eels, etc. He took a lot of amazing photos of the fish and some of us while diving, which he graciously shared with us after the diver over lunch. We definately recommend planning dives with Robert/Great Escape. We will be diving with him again on our next visit to Puerto Rico.We also rented some find for our sun at the kiosk he has at Stephs Beach. Very reasonable price - just what we needed.

This was my first time Scuba diving. I called multiple places around the Isabela, Aguadilla, and Rincon area to get some insight on what is provided and to be expected. Right off the bat I felt most comfortable with Great Escape PR. Robert is THE MAN! He took his time with me on the phone, answered all my questions, and was very sincere. He really made me feel at ease. The morning of the dive he provided thorough safety instructions and a great crash course. Getting out into the water, Robert and Eric were very patient and easy going which helped staying relaxed while getting acclimated to the bottom of the ocean.All-in-all great group of dive instructors, all PADI certified, who just want to help others be successful in their diving and to share in the passion of scuba. Best prices with ALL gear included. Can’t go wrong with these guys. COMPLETELY satisfied with the experience. 👌🏼
