My husband and I needed new rugs for our family room and dining room. We went to Avalon Flooring in Rio Grande because we had had an excellent experience with them in the past renovating our bathroom. Our salesperson, Sallie Rice, was a joy to work with. She listened to what we wanted and showed us rugs that we would like. We found what we wanted and Sallie made the ordering process simple. She was also very personable and as we talked we found all kinds of links to the past. If we need anything from Avalon Flooring in the future we would definitely ask for Sallie.

Wife & i Went to the store today about 2:00 there for 45-60 minutes they were filming something. We are about to get a bathroom renovated so We looked around never saw a salesperson so we left.Not a very good showing of customer service. If we ever have occasion to go back I guess we need an appointment to get service.

Avalon Flooring, Rio Grande, NJ (review 2/6/21) We recently used Avalon Flooring for our condominium flooring in Wildwood Crest. We ordered Karastan carpet (Cascade Views) and COREtec flooring (Grande Premium XL). We had a great experience with the whole team and overall are very happy with the products installed. Main team who helped us before and after the install:John, ManagerMichelle, SalesSteve, EstimatorPatty, SchedulerSubcontractor - Installed Carpet: Floorscapes by ThomasSubcontractor - Installed CoreTec: ASAP Floors (Marcus main contact)Had I not mentioned to John I was so impressed with how well everyone worked together, and seemed so vested, I would have never known they are all actually Owners. Sounds like the original founder of Avalon Flooring set that up before he passed away.Note: Ive attached pictures hoping they might help someone. Picture 1) The Karastan carpet has sections in two rooms that look like seams but they are not and they are not marks from the way carpet was rolled. Steve is hoping the carpet will relax over time. Steve did note it in our file in case it does not relax | for warranty purposes (fingers crossed). They dont just leave you hanging after install, they follow through.Pictures 2&3) This particular style of COREtec will need thresholds and transition pieces. Take time to understand the transition and thresholds ahead of time. We kept the original tile in our kitchen. Our dining room, living room and hall surround the kitchen. COREtec transition pieces only run a certain length so if seam(s) are going to bother you ask about it (I think they used T-Moldings). Picture 4) For bath threshold they cut and tweaked a Baby Threshold to fit in front of the marble. 5) For the bedrooms used a normal Reducer Threshold I believe. 6) We decided not to replace our floor trim so they added shoe molding (not a quarter round).We would use Avalon Flooring again.

We worked with Gladys and she was absolutely amazing! I never felt rushed or pressured to pick anything. Picking out tile and flooring for a new house is overwhelming but Gladys took us room by room and made it seem so simple. The price was also much less than a previous quotes we had gotten other stores and the service was incomparable to the customer service we received from Gladys. We were very happy with our whole experience!

The only thing better than the store was the sales person, Sally Rice! She was amazing, took the time to show us options, go over prices, and answer all of our questions and concerns. After the purchase she followed up with a rendering, product availability and delivery. She is a true professional and we cant recommend her enough- if you want to be taken care of, ask for SALLY!!!

The store have nice stuff and plenty of choices. However, the sales rep ( woman with bad hair and bad clothes boots and flannel shirt on Memorial Day weekend) was pretty rude. Was with my friends helping to pick up marble and she proceded to start a confrontation about my taste and my friends one. So rude. Most likely will still but the product but will love to see her go. Sallie ... RUDE.

As home remodelers we have visited Avalon Flooring many times over the years and have bought laminate flooring, tile of every description, and carpeting for both the project homes and our own. The selections are great and their design ideas are always on point. Just exactly the look we are going for. Need a rug installed? Their remnants are fantastic and after several different installations by several different contractors we couldnt be happier. The staff is helpful, friendly and most importantly knowledgeable!

Had carpet installed in mid April 2019. The salesperson Artemis Ondrejka was very patient with us. The carpet installers were Efren and his helper were very accommodating and did an excellent job. I have never been so happy. Recommend to anyone in the Cape May County area.

Being a developer who comes in contact with many different suppliers I wanted to take the time to praise Avalon Flooring in Rio Grande NJ. Not only do they give you their professional help and great pricing they go far and above to do whatever they can to please all there customers. Last Friday at 3 pm I needed to have my tile delivered to my job site in Strathmere and the next available date wasn’t until the following Thursday. Unlike many other suppliers this would have been the final word and we would have had to wait. That didn’t happen, thanks to John L he went to his driver and his back room dispatcher and MADE IT HAPPEN. We had our tile and the price to deliver my tile was FREE. Eighteen months after having purchased a Karastan carpet for several rooms in my home parts of the carpet appeared to change color. Avalon worked with me and for me through the process of having Karasten evaluate and propose a replacement of the carpet. John, the manager of the Rio store and Efren Services the, the capet installers sent to replace the faulty carpet were exceptional in their service. They were professional, understanding, fast and efficient. We could not be more satisfied with our purchase from Avalon Flooring, Rio Grand.
