You couldn’t find nicer people. I just knew my lawn mower was done. He was checking it out and did some kind of slight of hand and within 30 seconds my mower was running again; good as new.Turns out It wasn’t the lawn mower. It was us. My BF and I.“Bob”, the owner, told me what it was. A very simple thing. Cable line came unhooked. He just hooked it up and wasn’t going to charge us anything.You know he could have said “sorry we are going to have to keep her for awhile” then charge me some 200 bucks to get it back after 3 weeks fix n. I would have been none the wiser and would have just gone ahead with whatever. He was honest nice warm easy going etc.I will become a regular customer for whatever small engine repair needs I have. As a matter of fact I was so impressed with him that I left my lawnmower there to have the cable line replaced and do some blade sharpening. All of which would have been functional for quite awhile yet, but hell, since I was there and I liked his service, why not ?I d highly recommended Mesa Forestry for your lawn mower maintenance needs.“Amy” an, admin / customer service / mechanic aide, has a great sense of humor and will take care of you too. I just can t say enough about my positive experience with every single body there, even their dog was sweet.

You know your in the right place when the owner diagnosiss your small engine problem in literally 2 minutes. Knowledgeable staff. This place is honest. They worked on a generator for two weeks. They could not solve the problem. The honest part. They told me the truth. The only charge was for the original service. Thank you guys.

Was able to get chainsaw parts

I have an Echo chainsaw with a bad carburetor that they fixed about six months ago, and I have a Craftsman snow blower with a bad carburetor that they fixed about two months ago. This is my go-to place for small engine and yard equipment repair. They do good repair work at a fair price in the time frame they estimate. Yes, I recommend this store to my friends.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND MESA FORESTRYI Took Stihl chainsaw in for repair, would not start. Charged $164 for tune up and they put a new spark plug and fixed pulley wheel. They said it starts up fine. First time I used the chainsaw it starts but constantly dies out. I start cutting about 1/2 a log and it dies over and over. Called Mesa Forestry and they wanted to charge for a carburetor repair. Do Not Take your Stihl chainsaw for repair at Mesa Forestry. BAD SERVICE AND THEY DID NOT FIX CHAIN SAW CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME I BROUGHT IT IN. THEY TOOK A LONG TIME TO REPAIR IT AFTER 3 WEEKS I CALLED TO SEE IF IT WAS READY AND THEY HAD NOT EVEN LOOKED AT IT YET.

I actually took the time to check these guys out and heard nothing but good things. They are friendly, honest and straightforward. The fact that when I bought my Stihl Chainsaw form them and was not put through a mediocre attempt at an upsell was in my opinion, a true display of integrity on their part.These guys are knowledgeable, easygoing and trustworthy. Its pretty rare that you find a business in the Albuquerque metropolitan area that operates with these values.

Not worth the wait

A small family business with integrity! If you buy 3 tools at once then you get a 10% discount on future tools for life. The father and son team are super knowledgeable and very helpful. Any tool you buy theyll give you a walk-thru of that particular tool before you leave (its part of the Sthil experience). All prices for tools and service are upfront. Ive never had service done here but theyre constantly busy and even growing. For me growing say a lot.

I had a very different experience at Mesa Forestry than many of the other reviewers. Bottom line: This place is an unorganized mess. I took a power washer in for routine maintenance. I was told it would be 2-2.5 weeks. No problem. I wasnt in a big hurry. After 3 weeks passed, I called for an update. I was told it was next up on the bench and it would be ready the following week. I asked for something a little more specific. This put me on hold for about 10 minutes before another person got on the line and said it would be Tuesday and they would call me. Tuesday comes and goes. I call on Wednesday, left a message and never hear back. I stop by on Saturday morning since they are open in the AM and they are closed for the Memorial Day weekend (no biggie i should have called). I stop by today, hand over my claim ticket and the guy tells me they just finished it on Wednesday. So thats 2 weeks later than the original date and over a week later than the second promised date. I let them know that I was disappointed in there poor customer service and I didnt even get an apology. Oh well, its not like this is the only place to get small engine work done. Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

I dropped two chainsaws off over a month ago, went to pick them up today and they didnt touch them. To top it off the representative at the counter was very callous, offered nothing at all for my inconvenience. I have done a lot of business with them over the years and they have slowing deteriorated there customer service. I do not recommend them, and tho they are the closest chainsaw store to me, I will never go there again. Be Warned!!!

Greatest place to buy outdoor power equipment. Would not get the same customer service from a big box store. I loved every minute of it.

Bob the mechanic is as good and honest as they come. He has won my business a dozen times over. As long as he works there I will be bringing my entire fleet of small engines to him for maintenance and repairs!

Very helpful. I brought my chainsaw in and found there was a 2 week backlog for service. Owner took time out of his day to troubleshoot my problem. Im able to use it temporarily until I bring it in. They will call me when they are ready to work on it. I wont bring anywhere else.

My Stihl chain saw started running poorly just after we moved to the area. i figured it was the altitude. After many attempts to tune it, I finally took it in to West Mesa Forestry. It took him a while but he figured out the carburetor check valve had gone bad. He installed a new carb that they had in stock, saw runs like new. Customer for life! Thanks, Barry Barker
