I work out of State and needed a dependable mower, I found what I was looking for in a Gravely… Two years later I needed some help will maintenance last minute… Called the shop and Brendon came picked it up and delivered as expected… Hands down one of the best you will find…
Very friendly staff and helped a non mechanical person get their very old rider fixed. Really liked that they can pick up and deliver the rider as well. Would and will bring my rider back to them in the future if need be. 😁
If you need service or assistance on your mower or small engine machines, these folks are the way to go! I have brought them several tune-up projects and a few that were real challenges (1 that my son took all apart and put parts into a box!) and they really had no problems getting everything running like new, and, more importantly, had very reasonable prices considering all that needed to be done. Also, The new location is GREAT! Good remodeling job!!
I was very disappointed with their service. When i first dropped off my mower i was told they had a 2 week wait time. After 4 weeks I called and they said they had just gotten it in and were going to take a look at it. they called me a couple days later to get the OK to put in a $200 starting module, which still didnt fix it. I kept calling every week or so to see what the status was. They changed the plugs, worked on the carburetor, every time I would ask how much everything would cost me. The highest number they told me was about $350. 2 months after i dropped it off they finally said it was ready to be picked up. the final bill was $550!? I took my mower for a test drive around their yard and it was running quite ruff. When I took a look at it, a screw was almost falling out of the carburetor. I borrowed a screw driver and tightened it and left. when I went to mow my lawn it still was running rough. i started checking everything out, oil was starting to spit out and leak on the frame. i checked the oil level and it was a quart and a half high. the fuel was leaking into the crank case. I called and spoke to the owner. he suggested i bring it down and he would take a look. no explanation on why I was given back my mower like this and didnt offer any refund. I explained to him that i cant take it back to him due to them giving me my mower back in this condition, not being honest in how much it was going to cost me, the time it took, and the very poor customer service
***See edit at bottom in regards to their response***I recently was in need of a Scag part that I could get same-day. The other local Scag dealership doesnt carry much for parts inventory at all which left KSP as the only other local Scag dealer that actually carries a good variety of parts in stock. I knew they had a very good stock for Scag parts so I headed over. Although Im an ex-employee who left to explore new employment opportunities, I decided to give them a shot and give them my business hoping the past would not affect this transaction. When I walked in, I was greeted by the person working the front desk. They were able to help me get the part I needed and were very polite and professional to me. I was treated with respect and as a normal paying customer even though this person knew Im an ex-employee here.Just after receiving my part is where my experience became bad. One of the owners saw I was there and he came out front with a very poor, unprofessional attitude, and began to swear at me almost immediately beginning with the f-bomb. I remained polite to him and did not give an attitude back as I was attempting to stay mature and professional. He said a few more rude comments and dropped the f-bomb multiple times towards me. He finished off with ...now get the f**k out of here! To me, this was VERY unprofessional. Personal feelings should NEVER affect how the business end of things are conducted! Thankfully, no other customers were inside the store to have to awkwardly overhear the brief conversation. I will now take my business for Scag parts out to the dealership in St. Paul or simply order online elsewhere.Again, the past is the past and should not have affected this transaction since they are the only local Scag dealer who carries parts in stock. The fact that a young individual like myself can move on from the past and just let it be compared to them being hostile about it a year later says a lot about their true professionalism. I can walk into any other job Ive had (Yes, even others where I had quit without notice for personal reasons) and the owners and managers of those businesses treat me with full respect and are happy to let me bring my business to them with no hard feelings.Seeing as they felt the need to respond with an argument rather than again being professional, I will explain a little more. I was an employee there and needed to move on for personal and family reasons. I had a key to the doors and my own code which THEY had provided me with long before I voluntarily resigned from my position. Having keys and an alarm code to enter is FAR from breaking and entering! I neither robbed nor rummaged the place as I took only my personal belongings and made sure to leave anything that wasnt mine including uniforms and shop tools. They attempted to file charges (out of retaliation which is considered illegal for businesses to do to former employees) but as nothing was stolen they were unable to do so and the investigation with the police was wrapped up and no charges were formally filed, pressed, or prosecuted. This means they wasted their time, my time, and more importantly the sheriff departments highly valuable time. I had cooperated fully with the police at the time as everything was on camera and provided the investigator with a full written statement. Upon leaving with my tools, box, and personal equipment I had left a simple yet professional letter of resignation and the door key they had given me on the owners desk. There is much to this story and it is further unprofessional for them to lie about what happened, on top of make the “private” matter now “public.”If I had done as they said where I truly broke in and stole anything at all, I wouldve been charged and sitting in jail. When I resigned I will admit I could have done it more professionally, attempted to give notice at the time, and talked to them about the issues I had, but again I have moved on and it is water under the bridge to me. I wish them the best of luck on future business endeavors nonetheless.
Our go to place for small engine and snowmobile repairs. These guys are great. They listen to your version of what is wrong with your machine, dig into it, call you with what problem is and repair once you approve. We feel everything we’ve had repaired (backpack blower, snow blower, snowmobile) has been repaired in a timely manner and for fair prices. Would highly recommend!!
Seems like a couple other folks experienced what we went through. Was quoted two weeks to fix the mower. Nearly two months later, it was ready. They had it running just fine again but I had to hire out the lawn to be mowed several times so weigh your options accordingly.
I have consistently had a great experience with customer service at Kinni Sport and Power. I brought my Snowblower in because it wasnt starting and they fixed it right up and its been running great ever since. Everyone there is very knowledgeable and will take the time to explain what is going on with your machine. I highly recommend this place for all your repairs and they also have a great selection of chainsaws and other equipment for purchase. The owner, Brendan is a super good guy and helped me out a lot!Thank you Kinni Sport and Power and the entire staff for your hard work! I will be bringing in my woodsplitter for a tune up soon!P.S. To all the residents of Hudson and River Falls, Please shop local and support small businesss like Kinni Sport and Power!-Gabriel
Friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff! I have used Kinni now for the past 3 years after not being happy with Hugo Power Equipments service department. I have my Gravely pro stance serviced at Kinni and these guys have always been fast, on point and cost effective. Seth has always given me good advise and he has always been willing to answer my questions to help me trouble shoot issues that pop up. These guys do great work, carry great products and most importantly they respect and want your business. Dont hesitate to bring your equipment here. Thanks Kinni!
I dropped off a pretty standard mower deck to have maintained. a very simple straightforward task to have done. Three weeks later after multiple calls asking about the status, I was just now told that there’s a three week backlog. I was never told it would take three weeks to have a simple project done when I dropped it off. First of all three week backlog is pretty ridiculous, but not to be told about how long it’s gonna take when you drop it off, and meanwhile your grass grow half a foot tall waiting for these folks to finish the job is unacceptable. Not to mention they didn’t seem to be too bothered by the delay when I talk to them and made it seem like it was no big deal. This was my first time using the shop, and it will be my last.
They are always great to work with and are reasonable on their service.
They can fix it all. 1996 craftsman barn find... old. Had not run in years... now perrrrrrrrs like a kitten.
Those guys at Kinni sport are spectacular! Top notch in my book.
The shop helped me with a small problem with my lawnmower. They were quick, friendly, and did not try to sell me any parts or service that I didnt need. Will be the first place I go to in the future for help with repairs or blade sharpening.
We had an amazing experience purchasing our snowblower here! As first time homeowners, we weren’t super familiar with what type of equipment we’d need. My husband did a little research and decided it would be good to head in for some expert advice. Brendan helped us every step of the way, from picking the right snowblower to fit our needs, to offering to deliver the snowblower himself to save us the delivery fee (it helps that he regularly visits our area) and he was always super friendly, helpful and professional. If you need any outdoor equipment, look no further than Kinni Sport and Power!
The item, a toro fan-belt, hardly needs an opinion, a average parts house. @ best. Making a personal aspect, would not be an advisable direction, this being public an all
Working with Cory was amazing, I called him and he was able to answer all of my questions i had on my new zero turn mower. I bought a Gravley ZT HD 60. I was able to do all the paperwork and set up my delivery in about 20 minutes. The customer service here is amazing. When your ready to buy for yourself or your company I would highly recommend working with these guys.
Knowledgeable, reasonably priced, friendly run by the owners on-site
