First time with Dr. Frame. He did a great job updating my wife and I on our daughters eye health. Melissa helped our older daughter who was struggling to select a frame. Christina located the exact frame at another location and satisfied my daughters frame color style. Our youngest looked at over 30 frames and unracked them. Im grateful for their patience. Overall, my daughters had a great experience. Cant wait to get my eye checkup in September.

This was our first time at this location. My daughter needed an eye exam for kindergarten so we decided to try this place out. The office is very clean!!!! The staff is very friendly, helpful, and informative. My daughter and I were provided with excellent service. Christina was very kind and helpful. She made my daughter’s first experience at the eye doctor easy and fun. My family and I will continue to come here.

Dr Frame was very nice and thorough, and put my daughter at ease during the exam. However, the two ladies on staff in front of shop were aloof and minimally helpful. Next to no help in selecting frames, and so cold in contrast to their demeanor with other customers. We didn’t get a printed receipt or prescription, as the staff seemed intent on rushing us out of the store despite our attempts to be friendly, there being no other customers and the store not due to close for another 90 minutes. We will not return nor recommend Family Eye Care.

Christina at the front desk was great. She was friendly and professional. Also, the office does a great job with leaving room to schedule last minute appointments. I called to make an appointment in the morning, and was scheduled to be seen in the evening of the same day. Dr. Frame was friendly and thorough. I would strongly recommend them!

I saw the doc for a corneal abrasion (ouch) on a Saturday and he wrote me a script for antibiotic eye drops. The script never went through to Walgreens though when I called. They also handed me a paper copy of the script but never told me that was an actual script (I thought it was just a receipt/ photocopy since the doc said it was being sent in electronically). I called the office immediately but they were closed so I left a message on Saturday afternoon that my eye hurt and I really needed him to send the script in. They had no emergency line. No way to reach the doctor. Monday came and the doc never called back. When I called the office Monday 10 am the front desk woman said to wait until 2:30pm to speak to the doctor about him resending the script to Walgreens when he was done with all of his patients. She then informed me the paper I recieved was a script and I can take it myself. So, after waiting all weekend for a response from the doc with a corneal abrasion I will be going to Walgreens today with my three kids in the middle of a pandemic with a script, waiting, then back again to pick it up. Good thing I never threw out that paper! Lets hope in the future they get an emergency line for people to reach the doc when they need him and not have to wait a weekend and then until the end of the day on a Monday after every single patient has been seen.3 stars because despite this bad experience and service the staff was nice while I was there and the doc seemed good - but sadly I did not get the care or communication I needed.

Been going here for about 4 years or so and always a pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly and Dr. Frame is a rare, personable doctor. He explains things very clearly and never makes patients feel like they’re uneducated for not knowing certain things (I’ve had horrible docs do this). The new office is beautiful and always very clean and organized. They definitely make it feel very homey from the cozy office to the family focused conversation.

It was my boyfriend & I’s first time here, and we had a great experience. They not only help you choose frames but assist you on payment plans. Dr. Frame is very polite & helpful with any concerns you have about your eyes. We will definitely be coming back ❤️ 👓

Very bad service by the front office & the eye doctor. Shun them like plague.After 50 minutes of waiting they told me that doctor will not see me, as I was late for the visit.

Horrible service!!They ordered the wrong contacts and told me it was my fault! How??? Im not the Doctor!! WHAT A HORRIBLE ANSWER FROM THEM!!! I was told that it was what the Doctor that wrote the order by the receptionist. When I told them I couldnt see with the prescription he gave, they refused to give me a refund. The receptionist is nice at first when you come in and they are getting your money but never take RESPONSIBILITY for any errors or mistakes that she makes. SHE ORDERED THE WRONG COLOR THEN BLAMMED THE DOCTOR. IT TOOK OVER 3 WEEKS TO GET MY CONTACTS AND THEN WHEN I WENT IN TO PICK THEM UP THE ORDER WAS WRONG..AGAIN. I THEN HAD TO RETURN 3 TIMES AFTER THAT AND GOT NO APOLOGY- NOTHING, NO DISCOUNT AT ALL FOR THEIR MISTAKES. I had to call my insurer and complain and then bring the correct prescription back to them, then and only then did they order my contacts with the correct prescription,( which was the old one) but they made me pay more.... If you care about your eyes go somewhere else!!

I appreciated Dr. Frames friendly professionalism. As a senior citizen, I found it comforting to know that Dr. Frame used the latest in retinal photography to check the health of my eyes. This is very important to me as I like to read a lot.

This place is great. I love that they rely on a great reputation and provide great customer service to their patients rather than a corporate big box name. The staff is vey personable and professional. I want to personally give a heartfelt thank you to Christina who went above and beyond anything required of her to fill my granddaughters prescription today. Somehow my granddaughter managed to break both pairs of her glasses, she lives out of state, has a weekend outing out of state this weeend and must have her glasses on at all times. I was initially told that the glasses would probably be ready late Thursday or early Friday morning at best. I received a call at about 5 oclock this evening to let me now that one pair of the glasses were ready! This is customer service at its best! Thank you again Christina! Youre the BEST!!!

Dr. Frame is phenomenal, he spends time with you explaining all the tests and answering any questions. His staff took a lot of time with me to pick out glasses that fit my face shape and that would be comfortable.I have been to a lot of different Optometrists and now I will not go anywhere else.

Family Eye Care has great service. Not only is Dr. Frame fun and easy going, they take my eye insurance(BCBS) and remind me to use up my yearly deductible, they went ahead and worked with my insurance to figure out my rates with out me asking. My family and I continue to go back to him year after year because of the great service and very good prices.

Success! CostCo Optometry failed. LensCrafters failed. Family Eye Care succeeded in executing progressive tri-focals with the correct prescription, right fit, and outstanding service. Have gotten dozens of compliments on the frames. Will never go anywhere else ever again. And, yes, the Optometrist’s last name is actually Frame.

Family Eye Care of Elmwood Park is an awesome place to get your eye sight checked and glasses replaced. If i ever need to see optometry again, i would prefer seeing these guys!

My exams are thorough and complete, with Dr. Frame serving as a most pleasant, competent practitioner who extends his knowledge to his staff, who are helpful and accommodating when needing to find the perfect eyeware. The selection of eyeware options are unique and versitle, with a variety of price points to meet every budget.

I was referred here my my insurance. When calling to make an appointment I asked them If they accepted my insurance plan and they confirmed. After taking a day off work I went and got an eye exam, and when going to pick out my glasses it turns out they dont accept my insurance at all! This hole in the wall place is not worth it.

Its a great place for eye needs.
