Jewel-Osco came up for fresh seafood near me. Needed a quick stop for salmon and crab... Crab legs won. Snow crab clusters looked pretty good tonight. Cant wait to dig in and come back to try the $5 sushi Thursdays.

Great shopping experience, love the Boars head deli products. I wish the prices were a little bit cheaper tho. Friendly staff, clean store, well stocked shelves.

Jewel is just going down hill. Employees are great and helpful,but, items on sale are out of stock with in 24 hrs. Others that i needed they were out of. I go shopping 3 times a week. Always something, not one item or 2 but several. I was there today still the same

Only thing is that you have to get there in time to get the fresh cooked food.

I hear and read a lot of not good things about this store, its been good to me though. They keep it clean and Im hardly in line long enough to be bothered by it. They get 5 stars from Flex💪🏾🏆

First time at this location. Staff was polite and helpful when I asked for assistance. Store was clean and pretty well-stocked, but some sale items were sold out. Other customers were courteous. I plan to shop there again.

Its great place for grocery, fresh vegetables . This place walking distance so we go almost every day. I am going this place from 9 year. I had great experience. Thanks for that.but From 6 months I had the lady name Josefa doing very bad behavior. I always self check out. I dont know why she dont like us. I always pay first for my son if he eating anything. I understand they have right to ask did you pay this. I dont mind if she ask like this.but she was so rude. And she always rude. I wish near our place other grocery store will open.

Not the best Jewel in the area. A bit weak in the Asian foods, gluten free and occasionally produce which usually is good but not as great or inexpensive as Pete’s Fresh Market. Definitely needs an expanded Organic Meat refresh. Lots of conventional options. Pet food and supplies aren’t commonly on sale. App is good, Just For U shows sales on items you buy or would likely based on history. There are not a lot of people that can help find items. 70% of what we need is available. Hot bar is not super appealing and they dialed back sushi counter. Currently not limiting customer volume during pandemic. Cashiers are slower than average but self checkout is available!! Monopoly game is fun.

This is a nice place in a nice neighborhood. I enjoy the driving to and from this place. Plenty of parking.They have most of the things I buy for home, it is clean, well organized.I use the self checkout, it works fine, so I don’t even have to stand in lines for cashiers.And I can pay with Apple Pay with my watch, nice!

Usually always great however sometimes they are out of certain big name products for a week or more. My inner child has been wanting lunchables but they have been out of every kind for at least a week. That may not necessarily be their fault though.

Larger format Jewle-Osco. Good store. If you are out for sales, it seems like Jewel consistently does better with prepared food (Nabisco, General Mills, freezer pizzas, etc.) than with meets and veg. They will have one or two decent sales, but by no means running lost leaders.

Good produce, clean bathrooms, excellent wine/liquor section. They have some really great items, I havent seen at other Jewel stores. Was a beautiful rainbow over the parking lot when I was there. They have the famous guitarist Estabon pulling outside cart duty.

They had what I wanted. No hassles, In and out pretty fast.

Jewels have awesome sales weekly on meats, vegetables, can goods, snacks and my experience be plentiful

Preparing to self check out the 80 year old attendant with bright red hair came walking behind me sneezing profusely so I made a dash to a register at the opposite end. Angered that I rejected her pandemic spray she marched behind me and was literally getting in my face, still not wearing a mask! In shock I left my groceries in the cart and made a run for the exit. Terrible experience, please do something.

TOO MANY PEOPLE DOING NOTHING! WHERE THEY SELL THE CHICKEN DELI COUNTER YOU WILL BE WAITING TO GET SERVED 20 TO 30MINS WHICH IS RIDICULOUS I HAVE GONE TO OTHER LOCATIONS THAT WOULD HAVE AS MUCH AS 2 PEOPLE and they get me in and out. The jewel Osco in River Forest generally has 5 to 7 PEOPLE And it still takes Forever to get service just fed up this has been going on to long.

Huge store with great selection but checkout took forever at 1:00 on a Thursday.

We purchased 4 jugs of baby water from Jewel-Osco for my newborn grandson and they all had a slow leak! I looked in the beverage container where I kept the water and the container was full of water and some of the jugs were fully collapsed and the Manager insisted that we walk around with leaking water to bring all of the jugs back! I refused to take a chance with my newborn grandson because if all of the waters had a slow leak, it’s surely contaminated and I feel like Jewel-Osco should recall the baby water! I even suggested that they pull them off the shelf! The Manager said, you don’t wanna take any chances with a new baby, so bring them all back! We did and an older lady put our refund on a giftcard instead of the regular form of payment. She acted like Oops I forgot to put it on the other card because I put it on the other one already! What a joke! No water should have been leaking! Jewel-Osco needs to watch themselves before they have a lawsuit on their hands! This is literally the second time that we’ve had to deal with leaking water. The first time it was a case of leaking bottled water that we had to drag back leaking everywhere! Someone is puncturing the water with their worker’s blade or just mishandling the water and damaging it. We shop at this store because it’s close but the experience regarding drinking water has been ridiculous. Just inspect your bottled water and baby water to make sure it isn’t leaking at this specific location. I think quality control is nonexistent at this location. Please do better Jewel-Osco because my son loves to shop at this location! Thank you!

My favorite Grocery store i visit there daily. Great customer service from Sonya, Joe and Tom they really know the store well, if you need to find a item they will know where it is. And the store is always clean and new items appear all the time. Great deli and Awesome Seafood section.

Junck place to delivery on semi truck. Because Jewel is such a big company. And still do not have courtesy to put sing of receiving. Its 6:45 am and i have been looking for a receiver.

Best Jewel and grocery store option near immediate Oak Park-River Forest area. A good diverse selection and stock of items.

The floral manager checked if the balloons I wanted for my friends birthday were available when I called beforehand. She held them for me and recognized my name when I approached her. Balloons 🎈 were done well!

Drive up and go onlyI placed an order and 18 items were listed as out of stock. I had to go in after getting my order and shop for the missing items. I found 17 out of 18 items. No point in using this service if the dont want to fill the order completely. I selected 5 p.m. as the time, the order wasnt complete until 7:30, and missing that much. I included pictures of some of the out of stock items

They always gouge the prices of 2liter sodas and hope to appease us with an occassional day sale price of 88 cents.Shop somewhere else!

Groceries are fine but this is the slowest pharmacy I’ve ever used in my entire life. I’ve been standing in line for 20 mins now to pick up my filled script.

Bought some whitefish which wasnt fresh tasted fishy after cooking threw is out.

Generally very clean and well organized. People seem to abide by mask wearing policies and do their best to social distance.

Great selection of flowers. The grilled chicken is pretty much always fresh. Pretty good selection of wine, some cheese, spirits even cigars. Oddly good selection of the in vegetables, they could add some variety to the fruit. Really a pretty good choice for putting together an average to eclectic meal.

Everything is organized, clean and well maintained

Always clean, and well stocked with products. The employees are always polite and helpful everytime I shop there. Wish I could say the same about the a Jewel-Osco in my area.

At this point in the pandemic, no employee should be wearing a mask below their nose. If they openly ignore the (masked) person whose groceries they are loading into the car to please pull up your mask -- and do so multiple times, that employee needs to be fired. Wont be returning. It was a bad place to shop pre-pandemic but I figured how bad could it be for curbside?

Tom (Front End Manager/Customer Service Manager) is very professional and empathetic. He is the image of customer care we hope all managers can follow. Now-a-days its rare to have managers like him, in fact Tom is the main reason why the Forest Park will continue to have me as loyal customer even though there is another Jewel Osco closer to my home, I bypass that location because of the loyal/community feel here due to Tom. Thank you for making our experiences better especially during these tying times with Covid 19.

Ive never had a problem at this Jewel. Always stocked with a full selection. Produce and meat always look good, extensive bakery and deli areas, even has a Starbucks inside.

To describe jewel osco right now at this 5:20pm hour is a stay home 🏡 hour at rush hour traffic inside the store. Who can safely social distance? Other than that this huge detail the business itself is a great place to shop and pick up my shipment items that fed ex delivered to me. One cannot beat a secure location to have Christmas gifts delivered instead of taking a huge chance for home 🏡 delivery and getting the undesirable people in the neighborhood steal your purchases. I do not typically shop at that Jewel. I was shopping for an elderly relative who lives in the area and this is her Jewel. It is so big I could not find things. Most employees were very nice and helpful. I was trying to find summer sausage, not deli sliced, and no one could help. They either had never heard of it or guessed where it might be, sending me to different locations. A bit frustrating. Beautiful store though.

This location is a really nice, well stocked supermarket. It seems to me the variety in their butcher department has decreased in recent years, moving not towards pre packaged options. I wish they were doing a little more crowd control during covid - its been packed with people most times Ive visited.

My shopping experience this evening was plentiful. There store was clean, well stocked and the assistance I asked was knowledgeable and helpful.

Very busy location that is best visited during non peak hours. I find them to have an acceptable selection with moderate quality options. It’s going to have way less of a selection of your hot takeout fully prepared entrees than, say, the Whole Foods down the street or even a Pete’s fresh, but for your standard grocery shopping it gets the job done. Check out their curbside grocery shopping... it’s actually super efficient and way cheaper than many alternatives.

I can usually find what I need. The produce section is average however there is always a vast selection of baked goods

One of the best places for chicken If you order on Tuesday the chicken is so cheep its a crime. only giving 4/5 stars because I did find a hair in my food, however, the taste and value of the food far outweighs the hair found.

I love this Jewel because it has larger variety of meats, breads, teas, water etc. Customer service is good too.

The place is small and kinda trashy.

Bright, clean store. Good, but not great, variety of choices in many categories (pasta, cheese, paper, napkins, some produce). Maybe it is smaller than the other Jewel stores I shop. Deli choices seemed extremely limited compared to other Jewel stores. Produce, (specifically peppers, tomatoes, celery) looked like it should be consumed that day or the next -- it wasnt going to last two or three days. Nothing bad, just not great.

I called ahead for the Chicago popcorn and it was waiting on me. I took 10 bags home.

Its very hard to do a 6 feet distance from shopping in the store because a lot of people are standing in aisles trying to figure out what food to get from the Shelf? The hardest part is the checkout because the lines are longer than ever specially theres not space for 6 feet in the merchandise that is around the checked out area
