One of my top three hot dog places. I saw it mentioned on Facebook. We were in the area, stopped for a hotdog. It was very good.

Great little place to eat. Had their cheeseburger with their standard toppings (mustard, slaw and chili). It was really good. Their hamburgers are made fresh every day. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
My favorite place for a burger or a hotdog in Roanoke Rapids. Worth the drive across town. Friendly staff.

Their hamburgers are excellent! Fixed the old fashion way. We sat on the outside picnic table and got very good service complete with small fans that kept away any flies. Very nice people.

Second Street Lunch has a very old school diner feel to it. Overall I was very pleased with the service and food.Food came out hot, and was very good. The fries where standard store bought but hey what can ya expect. We also purchased a burger and a chicken sandwich. They had plenty of topping options and where very generous with them.Service was amazing. It was nice people who cared about being there. Speed of service was good, we looked at menus for a while and had to wait for our order to be taken, but it was in the middle of lunch rush. Our food came to use as fast as you would expect from a diner type of place.Cleanliness was a little sub-par to what you would be used to from a fancy restaurant but my group was not put off by it at all. They even had a 97.0 sanitation rating.The price was good for the food, around 10$ a person but we had plenty of refills and a few extra orders of fries. Personally the food was well worth it.Overall Second Street Lunch was great. Good food, good service and a down to earth atmosphere. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Stopped at this wonderful little gem and got burgers and fries and everyone was pleased with how fast we were served and how delicious the food was. Everything was hot and fresh, and the portions were perfect, will definitely come again!

It had went down for a while and the food was not as good but better beleave its the best it has ever been. I try to go at least once a week now to get myself a pizza burger. If you are hungry stop in and skip the fast food junk near by

Please have cash as they dont accept debt/credit cards. (Its 2016, almost 2017, get with the times!!!!!) Have lower bills too because they will give you a hard time about breaking a $20 even though they have a ATM inside the restaurant that gives you $20 dollar bills. The food is OKAY at best. They arent as good as they used to be, Must be the crappy attitude of the managers and owners. I definitely will not be going back anytime soon.

I do love their food, however weve had our order be incorrect 2 or 3 times of the about 6 times weve gone there. We never went back to try to correct it, and we should have looked before we left, but they do have good daily deals and food. I love their old timey atmosphere as well.

Pretty good and the people there are nice. I wish their phone still worked tho. You have to go there to order. I dont like how their atm has a 3 dollar charge to use. You have to pay in cash.

This is a HORRIBLE PLACE TO EAT. My husband and I have ate here twice. The large female cook with the glasses i dont know if its that she is racist or if its she just cant here but she ruins our food everytime . We will never eat here again. You want some good homestlye food cook it yourself or go to Browning on West 10th St, they are 100%better the waitress/waiters are nice at second street lunch but thats about it. You will thank me later
