Needed cheese cloth for Halloween costume. Could only find it here. Very knowledgeable employee told me where to look.

Just checking the place out. Looks clean, has everything most Joann stores do, cake decorating supplies, fabric, quilting and sewing accessories, scrapbook supplies, frames and framing, yarn of many weights, crochet and knitting books. Embroidery thread, hoops, instructions books, kits, kids crafts. Christmas decorations, floral and accessories.

Very rarely do I go into a craft store and feel underwhelmed for creativity. Their staff is nice tho. Cashiers are pleasant but framing dept will ignore you if about to go to lunch or clock out.

I needed a small piece of fabric and I got incredible help.

They had what I needed. It was on sale. I am happy.

This location is much better organized than I have seen other locations. Very spacious. The staff was friendly and answered the questions I had about their ad items. The variety is quite a bit more seeing as they are a larger store.Only things i would change was the clearance section being better and the restock of items. A lot of what i was in certain areas was gone.

Really well laid out store. It was really easy to find what I was looking for, and their great displays led me to buying materials for 2 more craft projects. Tons of ideas and materials to choose from ... just the thing to keep busy with during the long isolation of Covid. Friendly staff that clearly takes safety precautions seriously.

My four year old and I were at the store getting fabric. The ladies in the back were wonderful. They get five stars. However, when we were checking out, someone in the front hollered at my daughter for going near the candy. Then, as we were walking out the same young woman questioned whether the stuffed animal my daughter was holding belonged to her. It did. I felt like a criminal. I felt so unwelcome and was insulted. My ending experience was awful and I won’t return to that store.

Very cool products for various crafts and items for props

Store is well stocked and clean. Customer service can sorely lacking. No explanation as to what all is encompassed by door busters, thereby making all of the coupons they sent me useless. Educating your guest/customer makes that customer understanding and ready to return. Cold, no explanation stares and acting like they are an extreme nuisance is NOT a good way to do business.

The coupon JoAnn sent to my phone was not honored because it would not enlarge. I saved nothing. I will not return to this JoAnn Fabrics

Had to go back because my discount wasnt given even though I asked the young cashier about it. Some sales prices are good but most $ high. Also there were spots on cut cloth; will examine before the cut in the future.

Dont expect to be helped under typical circumstances. If an associate sees you they will do one of two things: 1) Ask if youve been helped already or 2) Say theyll be right back and disappear into the back.You may get some sidelong glances while youre waiting to be helped. Many of the associates seem irritated or disinterested in being there. If you call you may have to call again.The ONLY reason Ive given this location 2 stars is because the custom framing and the gentleman in charge of it has been great - providing both quality products and craftsmanship, as well as a genuine interest in helping.For any other reason than custom framing, youll do better to find a different location or youll likely be disappointed.

Joann Fabrics is one of my favorites too now...my sister in-law hook me on to Joann all the time I thought it was a Fabric store not knowing of the BEAUTIFUL THINGS they have for you home. Thanks Sis.

They do not have enough employees in the store. I love that they usually have the odd items that no one else has, but it takes so long to get help, it is almost not worth it.

Everything is well organized into sections & easy to find depending on what your project is.

As a man that doesnt often frequent fabric stores my frame of reference is limited but I have visited this store a few times and the staff has always gone out of their way to help out.

This place is awesome, big store lots of items. Definitely going back soon. Ill share my findings with friends and family.

I love JoAnns! Im not a sewer but I am a Crafter and Baker. Their baking selection has gotten bigger. Sad that the Fiskars cutting tool section got smaller, but Im still able to get what I need. The staff is nice and friendly too.

I figured if I went way way out to this particular Jo-Ann fabrics that I would find a higher quality of selection but I had coupons that I wasnt able to use it didnt make sense the coupons are was like 60% off a regular item most of the things that I saw that I really liked were on sale and I couldnt even use my coupon so I was kind of disappointed in that because I wouldnt have been able to really save any money so needless to say I ended up buying one thing instead of buying four or five so I was kind of disappointed when they give you 60% discounts coupons they shouldnt have so many items in the store marked down because then you cant even utilize your coupon thats ridiculous whoever the marketing person is is not thinking things through properly but besides that the store does have a very wide selection of beautiful items for arts and crafts for sewing for all type of creativities

Amazing selections in just about everything. Went for removable wallpaper. Fyi Joanns allowed reusing of their coupons until they expire.

JOANN Fabrics have a huge variety of materials on sale i.e. half off & some 75 % off. Beautiful materials to make face masks under the CDC guidelines.

I found that this JoAnns had plenty of selections to choose from, but rather disorganized. It was hard to find some prices and sale signs for fabric and the associates were a bit pretentious.

Wowwwwww! Is all I have to say. Went into my local Joann’s and had the rudest experience. Brenna was checking us out and I showed her my coupon. She proceeded to ring a bunch of coupons and gave me a worse deal than my original coupon! I was appreciative she tried but she completely messed up the coupons. And was only giving me $1 off when it should’ve $10-$15 I asked what happened and she was sooo rude. Basically complaining to get me the correct one she would have to rering! Acted like it was a hassle and proceeded to type in each SKU at a time to be petty when she could have rang the receipt of the fabric! It was a very tense and uncomfortable experience.

This joann fabrics store is spotless clean ! And everyone was very very nice here . This store gets 5 stars !!!

Not impressed with check out. Lady in line at register had a return and the gentleman on the register had issues with processing it. He called fir assistance and no one responded. After a long while, he advised that TWO more registers needed to be staffed to do check outs and finally two employees decided to show up. We will no longer frequent this location!

My daughter had a great experience taking the Kids Learn to Sew class. We will be back for more.

Prices vary on items. You can find some good deals, especially on clearance items.Had a great experience at the store today. Making me change my rating from 4 to 5 stars. It started at the fabric cutting station. Clerk was knowledgeable, engaging and friendly. Made the trip more enjoyable. The cashier who checked me out was also great. She made sure everything rang up with the proper discounts and none of the bags were too heavy.Great customer service!

I love shopping here, and if youre a crafter too, you know how it is; I find what I need, and then I find a whole lot more 😅They have a good online pickup service, you can stay in your car and pop the trunk and theyll load it in for you, no contact required.

Good deals but some of the staff are pretty annoyed with having to deal with customers seems like. I have gotten good and bad attitudes from cashiers there. I am always nice and try to do all I can do to make peoples lives easier by not complaining about things too much. so for me to Say I received bad service here on more than one occasion is saying a lot. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is one of the best Joanns Ive been to. Great selection and retail staff always help to get you the best price. Be prepared to wait in line esp on weekends.

Understaffed just about always. Which lends to a slow and poor checkout experience almost routinely. Also, last time I checked, the PNC bank in your very own parking lot, has plenty of currency. Including CHANGE. So, I dont understand why youre posting a sign basically rejecting cash?!

Since I started exploring my inner craftiness, LOL, JOANNE Fabrics and Crafts has become one of two of my favorite places to hang out! This location is definitely the best and worth the drive, as compared to some of their closer stores! I spent far more time browsing than I had intended... They have EVERYTHING and the employees are so kind and helpful... Could have stayed there for hours:)

Great selection,great coupons and so many things to choose from, its hard to leave.

Went to try and get a custom frame done here and waited 10 minutes for someone to come to the counter and told me to wait for the person. Finally someone else comes after 10 minutes only to tell me that only one person does the framing and he only works until 5pm. Will be going to Michaels. Joann customer service is the worst and they are never helpful.

My go to place whenever I need to make a costume.

For the most part this location(On Hall between Hayes & Schoenherr) has decent selections. The other location (Rochester Rd.) which is slightly further has a lot more to choose from. The majority of the staff at this location(Hall Rd) are friendly, but no matter where you go there’s always one in the bunch that isn’t very nice hence the 4 stars however I don’t let the little things bother me anymore.NOTE: I changed my rating from 4 star to a 5 star. The reasons are because I have had good experiences there and haven’t had any problems. I also thought that just because one person is a bad apple doesn’t make the entire staff one. And so it deserves 5 stars. Their overall appearance its generally a nice store. The Rochester store does have more products to choose from. That’s all that’s difference.

I had a terrible experience at this location. The staff were really rude and seemed very annoyed with me. Something was missing from my order and when I called about it, I was on hold for 20 minutes, only to get an answer of “It might be refunded” from a worker named Karen. Meanwhile, I was in the parking lot and a worker approached my vehicle. She asked if I had spoken to someone and I said yes. I told her the whole situation and she said “Well hopefully someone else can help you”. Her name was Lisa. Horribly disappointed with my experience.

Always find plenty of items. Good sales. The only problem with Rochester store is there is no lighting outside. They say its the people that own the property. Its very unsaved. Shop with someone.

Its the only place in town to buy fabric, so I tolerate the slow registers and perpetual sale marketing scams. The ladies who cut fabric are very nice and helpful. Surf the sales, find coupons, and join their club online or youll be paying 3 times cost for mundane things you could get on Amazon.

Great selection of fabrics. Prices a little higher than expected but coupons are always available it seems but you shouldnt have to go through the process. Some items now have limited selection compared to the past but that may be a sign of the times. On the other hand, there are not many of this type store anymore so Im glad theyre around.

Really big Joann. They had tons of product more then the one in livonia. The worker in the fabric department was very knowledgeable nice and helped me with my selections. She noticed i was sort of new to sewing and informed me of the half off class coming up. She also made sure i had the right amount of fabric to make my long sleeve shirt and told me i could use a coupon. I was very pleased with this visit

I had just bought a Viking Sewing machine and i am a total newbie. I happened to ask a lady from the cutting counter if she could suggest an easy project to start with. She was just the most wonderful woman! I think her name was Donnell (?). She spent a good amount of time with me and i am eternally grateful

Great craft store and has an awesome variety of material, craft kits, and even a little bit of home decor! I also love going to their classes they have. They have a great variety of classes, too! They have crocheting, knitting, sewing, kids sewing, and you can even have a birthday party there! If you are a big craft person, you should shop here if you havent already.

I have never left a negative review before, so I think it says a lot when I say to avoid this Joann Fabrics. If you are ACTUALLY able to find someone, dont expect help. The employees are consistently rude and will waste your time.

I love this store. The staff is always very helpful. They usually have exactly what I am looking for. If you have the joann app you can also get coupons and discount percentages off your purchases. The lace section is a bit messy and can be incredibly disorienting but there is always friendly staff, and even regulars eager to help out.

Picked up a order at the front desk, very easy. I belive the check out people spend alot of time talking with each client. That leads to bock ups in the check out line.

Staff is so helpful and being a guy with no clue on craft stuff, they helped me find good fabric for making some dog blankets. Aside from that, they worked with my two young kids to have them help measure and cut the fabric. It was a great learning experience for all while feeling like we were at Grandmas house.

There were 3 cashiers and rang everyone up, but me and started talking about a customer that was in there earlier. The cashier made eye contact with me 3 times and never once offered to ring me up or stop gossiping. Rude and unprofessional .

This store is kept clean and the employees are friendly and always willing to help you get the best deals with the coupons and the like. I enjoy their doorbuster sales

The staff isnt very knowledgeable in sewing. Most of them have an interest in crafting, so if youre only going there for that, youre in good hands. Not enough staff for the cutting table or register, so be prepared to wait. The place is well kept and clean.

Vast selection of items, however, I have been there many times and always had a difficult time locating anyone on the floor to assist me in finding what I need. They have ample register help but not enough floor help. The store provides many coupons in their phone app but many senior citizens do not know how to operate it. I witnessed one store clerk being very stressed trying to explain phone app coupons to an elderly customer. Considering how much of their customer base is over 65, I would think they would have more patience or come up with different pricing/marketing.

A lot of art and crafts stuff there

I have been to this location for the past few years and have always had awful customer service. Today specifically upon asking three different workers if they could help me look for an item they couldn’t even bother to help guide me to the area they were talking about. Not a single employee approached to ask if I need help and I couldn’t even find the thing I was looking for because of the amount of apathy the employees have. I always like to give the benefit of the doubt but this location consistently has been awful over the years I’ve shopped.

Happy I could return my fabric that I didnt need! I wish some of the ladies there werent so unpleasant each time I was there recently. They just kind of give you a feeling like youre too dumb to make things.Not all of them. Just some. Great craft store though!
