So they did my Monroe piercing absolutely wonderfully, but we came later in the evening, and as they were closing they didn’t give me any aftercare instructions, I had to ask, and then one guy (who wasn’t my piercer, didn’t know who he was) finally said “antibacterial soap 3x day outside, non-alcohol mouthwash 3x day inside.”And so I went out and bought Dial Gold antibacterial soap and started cleaning the outside of it with that 3x day. It ended up making my skin so dry and irritated around the piercing that when I would wash it, it would burn. I’m an esthetician so I know decent skin care; I immediately switched to sterile saline (as recommended to me by a previous piercer from another shop) to clean my Monroe piercing, and now the skin is so much more healthier around it and not dry, looks like it’s healing much faster. Haven’t had any crusties since I switched. Wish they would recommend sterile saline for aftercare for facial piercings because as an esthetician I knew, washing your face w gold dial 3x a day with no moisturizer can absolutely dry out and destroy your skins natural barrier.

Highly recommend this place. I was gonna go here to get my ears pierced but ended up going somewhere else. If I could do it again I definitely would’ve gone here. I came in because I needed to get an MRI and needed advice on what to do since they were still healing. They were so helpful and super nice about it. They took them out for me and let me come back after to put them back in. I definitely will go here when I get more piercings. Please please do yourself a favor and have these wonderful people take care of your piercings or tattoo needs.

A coworker and I went to this shop for Friday the 13th. We got to the shop at 9:20pm and they said that they were excepting walk-ins until 10:30. We waited in line for over 40 minutes after driving an hour to get to the shop in the first place and were already in the building only then to be told that even though it wasnt 10:30 that they were just going to give us a voucher to come back a different day and that we werent going to get peirced. Absolutely bogus super disappointed and a waste of time. Better management couldve prevented this. If we werent going to get pierced the line should have been cut well in advance. Super disappointed.

My experience at American Pride was the best I’ve had at a tattoo shop, ever. AJ was extremely helpful, informative, and kind. He made sure my best friend and I were comfortable during our piercing process. I probably won’t ever set foot in another tattoo shop after today. Thanks for a great experience!

Got my nose pierced here a little while ago. The shop looked and smelled clean and sanitized. The piercer was extremely nice and professional. He took the time to explain my piercing placing and after care and took time to answer my questions. Would recommend going to this place to anyone.

My sister got her septum pierced. I came here because the piercing reviews on here were all 5 stars.I was not disappointed! I needed somewhere clean, professional and precise for my little sister, and that’s exactly what this place was! The gentleman who did it (can’t remember his name, but he’s the only one who does piercings only) was really cool, took his time, was precise and walked her through what he was doing and what she was going to feel.100% recommend.

I got my septum pierced here a few months ago, and my piercer was fine, he did an excellent job of piercing me, but I was pierced with horrible, low quality jewelry. I would not suggest going to any american pride shops because they all carry low quality jewelry.

DO NOT GO HERE! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!I was in the process of getting my sleeve finished by Kat and after my second session she asked me if I could pay the remainder of the balance for the whole agreed upon price which I did just to get it out the way and I also tipped an extra $100 just to be nice and we scheduled my last session...I drove an hour to the tattoo shop for my last session and when I walked in one of the other artists that works there said she wasnt there and that apparently him nor anyone else that worked there had even heard from her and that she basically no call no showed that day and that was his explanation so I went home....I proceeded to message her multiple times over the next week to figure out what was going on and she never responded once never gave an explanation as to what happened or anything...so I finally called the shop because she was clearly blatantly not responding on purpose and when I called the shop I explained what happened and the guy said oh yea shes actually here right now then puts me on hold and then she still doesnt even get on the phone instead has the front desk girl answer the phone who was extremely rude and said nothing but you can come in on New Years Eve not once did anyone that works there have the courtesy to apologize for wasting my time or give any explanation for what was going on. I decided to not even go back there because the whole experience was just so unprofessional and uncalled for....I never got a refund for the remainder of the money I already pre paid for or anything...So I basically got robbed...I would absolutely NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! I would give zero stars if I could smfh...

Went to get my industrial done at this place. they ended up not sanitising my ear or thejewelry. piercer was wearing gloves, thankfully. swelling was normal for a few hours. my ear started to throb. i eventually ended up having my ear turn purple, it was oozing and bloody. the pain was unbearable. turned out to be an infection from the jewelry and everything. do not go here for piercings!

Please do not make the same mistake I did and let anyone except the designated piecer to do any body mod. I had my septum done by one of the tattoo artists and pretty much instantly knew it was not even close to the proper positioning. Had to take it to another shop and they were appalled that the septum was pierced fully through cartilage and not even near the “sweet spot “ - so painful and can cause healing issues:( Employees are very nice here but that becomes irrelevant once a piercing is botched and extremely painful

Best friend and I went in for matching tattoos of small lilies on our wrists. After they each healed, there are bits of our flowers missing in the needlework. Awful experience. It has been one week and I have already made an appointment elsewhere for a touch up. Do NOT recommend.

Went here over the summer for a larger piece. Portrait came out looking more like a doodlebob with crooked eyes and certain details missing. Plus taking forever to heal. I ended up going to Vicious to get it repaired as much as possible. Overall I felt like this tattoo was rushed and the intensity was lost in translation. I think the artist only did what he was capable of doing and skipped other details . The portrait wasn’t realism but it still came out weird. I do not recommend this place.

I came here to get a nose ring (an actual hoop) replacement, I had already gotten it pierced years before. And I went in to only find rings that were extremely large. And, too big of a gauge for my nose. But the guy proceeded to shove it through my piercing hole and told me it looked good even though I was bleeding and it was way too big for my nose/face. Will not return.

A young man named A.J. greeted me at the door. I arrived at the facility with an earring I asked A.J. to put it in my ear. He did so at my request....I decided it was too tiny. He ended up selling me a small silver hoop & he placed it in my ear. I LOVE IT !!! We started talking about tattoos....he went to the back of the store & here he comes with a young lady named Kat. We started talking about tattoos....I have wanted one for at least 30 years...I finally was brave enough to say yes. After papers were signed....I decided on a pawprint. In August I had to put my 1 yr. old cat to sleep..she had an auto immune disease....it was the worst time of my life !! So in her honor I wanted a pawprint. I explained to Kat only to do 1 black spot....if it hurt she had to Stop......she agreed !!! Guess What ?!?!? I have the whole pawprint on my arm !!!! I 🐾❤🐾❤🐾❤🐾 it !!!!! It didnt hurt & I would recommend to go in the store & ask for Kat if you want a tattoo. Ask for A.J. if you need earrings & you cant see to put them in....like me. It was a Great experience. Asked if they could take a walk in and Ian had no issues doing it. I am very happy with his line work. Both guys in the shop were awesome and friendly. Ive been to shops where all they do is speak down to people walking in, not the case at all here, they were super cool and great to talk to. Shop seems VERY clean and professional. Ive been to many tattoo and piercing shops. Ive never had a worse experience than I did at American Pride. Randy was nice and completed my septum piercing rather quickly, which was great. However, I noticed after a few days that the piercing was higher up on one side than the other. I called and spoke to Randy on the phone, and he offered to repierce it free of charge. I decided to go in and ask for a refund as I really have no desire to have the same person who pierced me incorrectly, try and attempt the same piercing a second time. I even offered to show it to him, however he rudely mentioned that I didnt say anything when I left (what would he have done had I said something? Tell me to take it out and come back in a week to have it repierced?). He mentioned that the sign says no refunds. Which I completely understand. However, the piercing wasnt done correctly, which isnt my fault. Why should I have to go through the pain of having it pierced again due to your mistake? I asked how Id know that hed do it correctly the second time. He said, Well make sure its lined up and straight before you leave. Isnt this something that should be done BEFORE the piercing? What happens if its crooked the second time as well? Im unsure, as I wont be returning. I cant speak on their tattoo work but if youre looking to get a new piercing, Id avoid this place at all costs.
