I have read the reviews before stopping by my first time. A lot of people have said that Matthew is the best, and I was really excited to see he was there my first time. He is very passionate about his job and the content of Games Workshop. Im not really interested in Warhammer table top, but if anyone is going to be able to get me into it, it would be Matthew. I was talking to my friends, and hes definitely the employee that companies aim to hire. Hes very knowledgeable of everything I was interested in and his excitement has a tendency to rub off on you. Its impossible to leave the store in a sour mood when he assisted you. Definitely whatever hes being paid isnt enough.

Matthew is amazing. Last time my husband and I visited we were just browsing, but when he asked if we needed anything I remembered I had taken a photo of the empty paint pot display at my local game shop. The photo was super blurred where I couldn’t read the name but I was able to describe it as a dark blue wash and he knew exactly what I was talking about and set it aside for me. We went home with The Great Unclean One, Possessed, Munitorum Armored Containers, and Drakenhof Nightshade. Can’t wait for our next visit.

I have been in customer service for much of my career before becoming a teacher, but I have not met anyone as good at it as Matt at this GW store. This guy needs a raise! I am new to the game and this guy has the patience of Job with all of my questions. 6/5 stars!

Havent been to GW in 10 years and yesterday i got a chance to go. I brought my girlfriend and we enjoyed the visit. The best part was an employee named Matt. It was busy but he took the time to great us and made small talk. Before we left he talked with us some more and even got us to agree to come back. The 5 stars go all to him!

When I need a Games Workshop product, I never buy it online. I get in my car and drive an hour away JUST to visit this store. This shop has the best Friendly Local Game Store atmosphere Ive ever experienced, and thats saying something for such a notoriously-expensive company! Matt is by far the kindest, most helpful salesman Ive ever met, and hes a great guy to talk to for anyone interested in miniature painting, collecting, or wargaming! He takes his time and never makes you feel rushed or silly for your questions, and he recommends the products he believes in. Highly recommend visiting this place just to meet him, and Im sure youll leave satisfied and smiling with a full bag of goodies!

Matt is a really nice guy, and the store itself is just a really nice community. More than happy to buy here and hoping that when it opens back up I can play a few games there as well.

Were new to the Rochester area (from Ferndale) and happened to drive the back way to exit the Target parking lot when we spotted Games Workshop. We play DnD exclusively but were curious about the GW brand of miniatures. Matthew greeted is enthusiastically and we observed a dozen people playing or painting minis in the back half of the store.The store is well merchandised and stocked. Matthews energy was infectious and genuine. I plan to come back for a one on one mini painting lesson. You can purchase a starter pack for $45 and use the paints for minis in your collection.

The staff is fantastic. They can answer any questions you may have. Selection of products is pretty large and if its it not in-store they can order it right up at the front. Overall great experience.

Matt is one of the best people ever for customer service, I love it every time I come in. If any of the paints dont work he is always willing to help or switch it out. I would highly recomend this place to everyone

Best GW store there is, hands down. Above and beyond doesn’t even scratch the surface of the level of customer service at this store. Matt treats every customer like they just spent a thousand dollars on Warhammer and his enthusiasm is Nurgle level infectious. It is worth making a drive to get there; Matt will make the visit worthwhile.

The Manager (I think) Matt is super cool and friendly. I am new to warhammer and Matt has been super friendly and excited to introduce me and my friends to the hobby. Always ready to answer any questions and when I told him I wanted to make Chaos my first army he was super hyped. Couldnt ask for a better store representative, he is the reason I drive the extra miles instead of going to the mini store thats 5 minutes away.

Great place, excellent service, just starting out on Warhammer with my daughter and her boyfriend. As soon as we walked in we felt like we had been there many times, Matt treated us like loyal customers and not like first timers. This means a lot to me driving almost an hour to get to his store. Drove 30 minutes to find they were closed when posted hours were from 12 pm to 6 pm. Waste of my time.

Its amazing how important customer service is. My whole group of people that I play Warhammer with LOVE coming here! Sure, we could go to almost any hobby shop & either pick up a model off the shelf or have models special ordered for us, but you dont get the full experience that way. He literally just come for Matt & his other, equally enthusiastic, coworkers! Anytime we have any questions, or even just want to geek out, Matt is always there to lend an ear or hand!

I just went there today and wow. The store is awesome, the main guy Mathew is incredibly nice and very knowledgeable. They have everything you could need and more! The only complaint I could possibly have is that its so hard not to spend money!!!

My favorite store to visit by far, Ive come a few times over the years and, even though its over an hour away, I love going because I know I will be treated respectfully and honestly. The employees will do whatever they can to help you and are very knowledgeable of the hobby.EDIT: also the store size is somewhat small but it is not of their own doing, and still holds everything you could ask for.

Just found out about the store this week, and I was curious to see how it operated and the price of the sets compared to GWs website. As expected, they match the same price, which admittedly isnt the best deal, but man despite that I see myself coming back. Matt, was extremely nice, considerate, and patient. The best Game shop experience Ive had, if Im honest!

Awesome and compact. No need to wander endless isles. Everything is easy to find and on display. Looking forward to going back on a game night to catch some matches.

Good, friendly shop in the greater Metro-Detroit area. Staff has always been helpful to myself, and any customers Ive seen come in that are interested in tabletop gaming. Unlike other stores Ive been to, Ive never been pressured into making a purchase, and have been encouraged to use products (paints and other finishing items) that are not their product.

Matt (The store owner) makes the game fun.Ive been to a bunch of store where its either buy or get out...This is not how Matt runs store. After leaving an area in San Diego that was very Warhammer heavy, I lost touch with the game and tried a few different substitutions. Eventually I really wanted to get back into Warhammer and decided to take the 45 min drive out to this store to see what it was like. I was unbelievably surprised by the owner, Matt. He is a really nice guy and always up to date with everything Games Workshop. Not only that, but he gets to know each customer. I came by only the one time for no more that maybe 20-30 minutes and when I returned a week later Matt not only remembered my name but also what faction I enjoyed and how I enjoyed playing the game. I now go at least once a week to pick up something new. This store may be small, but the atmosphere makes visiting worth every minute.

Great store; Matt is an excellent asset for GW. Hes happy to order whats not in the store and hold on to it until youre able to pick it up. In my case it was a month as I live up in the thumb.

Me and a buddy work in the same plaza and weve been by it plenty of times we decided to go in one day. I was very pessimistic due to bad experiences before however that attitude quickly changed as soon as we walked in. We were greeted by Matt the store owner he was very chill and polite he asked us how we got into the game how long we played and so on. This store is small but they have 4 tables in the back area to play on and a front table for Demos . The manager has a positive attitude and is nice guy, very excited and knowledgeable about the hobby.

Went to the store not knowing much about warhammer 40k. Matt (the store owner) introduced me to the game. Matt was very kind and respectful and engaged and cared about the conversation you were having. Also, it is very personal. Matt knew the majority of the customers by first name when they entered. 100% recomend this place!

I can talk for hours about everything I like about going to GW for Warhammer 40k and how theres always the most recent stock, fantastic organization, and just being a great hobby shop in general. But you can get that at any Games Workshop. You know what you cant get at every other Games Workshop? Matt.Matt is the store owner and he is very passionate and proud of this hobby. My friends and I got into Warhammer 40k months ago but its intimidating to go to a well established hobby shop that has its regulars and niche customers. Most places are Buy or go home. Not here, no. Matt wants you to enjoy this hobby and absolutely loves what he does. Sometimes I dont buy anything cause Im there to ask questions or browse. My point is that Matt makes this place more than just a shop. You can learn how to play, learn how to paint, heck, you can go there just to assemble your army and read lore. I cant appreciate Matts hard work enough, if it wasnt for him, I probably wouldnt enjoy or even understand the hobby as much as I do. This is a warm and very welcoming place to enjoy the tabletop hobby. Its definitely worth the time to just drop in, I promise you wont regret it.

A little truth in advertising would help. They described their store as though its general-purpose gaming but its Warhammer only. If youre not into Warhammer, this place is useless. If you are into Warhammer, I suppose this place feels like heaven on Earth.
