The clothing is okay, and priced moderately, and usually in pretty good condition. I think it’s a bit pricey for used clothing, but regardless, it’s the cheapest route when you have children who grow quickly, and stain clothing often, next to goodwill. I wish they accepted more t shirts and long sleeves in toddler sizes instead of 2 piece outfits however.HOWEVER, the toy section in this store is an absolute disaster. Toys are packed into the shelves, and very poorly organized. When you want to take something off the shelf to inspect the quality of the item, 5 toys fall off the shelves because it’s quite literally stacked like the worlds worst game of Jenga. It’s an absolute mess. There are designated bins for SOME things, like build a bear accessories, and 18 inch doll accessories, but even then, there’s a bunch of other toys in there that don’t belong. I assume from them falling from the upper shelves. You could sort through the shelves for 15 minutes and maybe find one thing you were looking for, again, because of poor organization. I don’t know if they accept too many toy sales, and they need to liquidate stock quickly, but maybe stop buying so many toys until there’s space for people to see what they’re buying? I would definitely buy more toys if it was easier to find specific items your child likes, like my little ponies, littlest pet shops, fingerlings, or whatever.In addition, I don’t know if it’s the owner, but there’s one woman who works there and she’s in almost every time I’ve visited, and she’s always complaining about something and doesn’t seem to be a very pleasant person. All of the other staff members are very kind and accommodating and they are wonderful to sell to.

Henrietta location. Staff was snooty, rude and everything I brought in to sell was NOT stained and worn maybe once, if at all. I carefully went through everything at home to make sure it was up to par. Funny thing is, I purposely slipped some things they rejected before for stains and wear. THEY ACCEPTED THOSE OUTFITS THEY REFUSED BEFORE. What a joke. They are lazy and frankly act like they dont want to be there. They do not do their job. Dont go here to sell.

Went today for the first time and got some really nice deals! Basically brand new winter Columbia boots for my daughter and the ladies there are very helpful. Both my girls had to pee at different times there was no Hassel. The lady at checkout was super nice and I got a discount!! 😊 I will definitely be coming back!!

I am very happy with this particular location although they told me they don’t take tutus because they sell them but I saw plenty of them on the racks obviously brought in by others like myself. They are picky when they feel some things I just didn’t understand. However they are kind and friendly respectful staff. Unlike the Webster location

Very happy with the selection. We got about 20 items some of them were pant and shirt sets and a large majority sweaters. We ultimately paid 95 bucks. Its a little crowded and there are alot of items to look through so be prepared to spend a little time to look around! Definitely worth it to look at before you dump a ton of money on brand new clothes your kids just gonna grow out and stain. Im a very happy mama after shopping here!

This is the perfect place to get baby clothes, since they are only worn for a few months. The clothes are all in really good condition, barely worn or even with tags still attached, and are less than half the price of brand new. I have not sold here yet, but many people do.

Love this location better than the other one theres more space. We love once upon a child because they have great clothes for less. We really dont like cosigning with them because you can take in 3 totes and theyll only buy like 20 pieces no matter if you fallowed their rules to a T. But because of their strick rules for consigning is how we know were getting a good quality product.

So, I live much closer to the Victor location, but after my experience here I would rather drive up to this one! The prices seemed significantly lower than in Victor. While the Victor staff aren’t rude or anything, the staff at the Rochester location were noticeably friendlier and fun to talk to (something that goes a long way with SAHMs like me who seldom get to interact with other non-diapered humans).

This is mostly how we clothe our kids. We can buy tons of gently wore clothes for cheap. We could afford to go to a normal store like target but why waste the money when you can get nearly the same thing for a fraction of the cost.

A close quarters store filled to the brim. I never go with kids in tow. Thankfully at noon in Friday the crowd was minimal and navigating was easy.

Great quality although sometimes high prices. Staff is usually friendly and courteous. Store is exceptionally clean and well organized. Good resource for parents and surprisingly not as well known as it should.

We love coming here! However we just waisted an entire day gathering stuff in our van to drive an hour just to get turned away. They said “we’re open tomorrow” we live an hour away. I am not waisting another entire day to come back to this place. The website says that they can take stuff all day everyday yet it’s not true! We arrived an hour and a half prior to close!

They are pretty selective but if u were shopping there for your kids wouldnt u want them to be selective so you know you are only getting the best?Biggest suggestions would be to relocate to a bigger store and to have more staff working when its really busy :) but everyone is still very friendly even if they are crazy busy! :)

Hi!I recently sold some stuff to your Henrietta, NY store. This was my second experience doing this and I will, and many others I know, never go back. I had a large quantity of items and I knew not everything would be purchased. They took some but gave back most of it. When I went to go through my items again, I found pieces missing to sets. I was never informed that even though they want sets together when you bring them in, that they wouldnt be coming back to me in the same way. When I called to ask why this was they said I had to specify that if they werent going to take the set not to separate them. Things were also just thrown back into boxes with no regard on I brought them in. I was told they work on speed!! What?!?!? How about taking care of peoples things?? The person working at the store was horribly rude and disrespectful. I hear from many people I know who wont shop there any more. I will be one of them. You policies are terrible and are not customer friendly. I would rather pay full price and have customer service. I dont know how your company manages to survive when your customer service is so poor. When selling your staff should take 5 seconds to explain fully what their rules are when dropping off. They were very rushed and indifferent. I hope realize how many people are put off by your company.I sent this to corporate as well

I found this place by accident and loved it! Im a FTM and found the staff quite helpful. I havent sold anything back to them, but the policy seems reasonable to me, they take things in good shape that sell well. All the items in the store are very reasonably priced. I bought 2 sleep sacs each for $3.50. They also have a whole section of oneies for $1.00.

The most fabulous store in the world you can walk in there with a couple bucks and walk out of there with a lot of items the clothes are well kept, priced great and they always have a clearance section in each size Of hat really goes beyond expectations there is not a parent living that should not know about the store they have everything

The website is useless. It says “we buy gently used clothes” so I bring in my gently used clothes and learn after driving 45 minutes that they have to be folded neatly in a “flat surface” and if they are wrinkled they will not take them. And they are very picky on sizes 0-18 months and that’s what I brought. Thank you for the website not giving any information and I wasted my time with 5 bags full of clothes for no reason.

I always shop here first before buying new! You can’t beat the prices. I can buy a whole season’s wardrobe for my son and not break the bank.I have never tried to sell items to them but i understand that they’d need to be pretty selective in order to provide the best inventory.Definitely my favorite place to buy used for kids. My only issue is the height of some of the racks. It can be tiring to sift through the racks when they are that high.

You can find some good pieces. There are a lot of overpriced items and a lot with stains or holes in them. They are also super picky about what they take back.

If you have kids you better know where this is it is the cheapest way to close your constantly Growing Kids clothes shoes Halloween costumes toys games Furniture items. Not only that when youre done using your stuff so buy it back from you if its in good enough shape to resell.

The prices are a little on the high end for used clothes. Burlington coat factory has new clothes for maybe a dollar more but its a treasure hunt so sometimes you might find a good deal

Love shopping at consignment stores for my littles. They ruin clothes and grow out so fast its nice to have the option of getting some cheaper gently used items. My only complaints are that the isles are very small its hard to manuever around with a stroller or get past people in isles.

They are very picky about what they take. I had clothes that were better than some of the clothes they were selling. Dont make sense to me.

We have shopped here for years with no issues, but today we were treated with disrespect from the rude staff. Upon trying to purchase a toy for my son, we were told the price on the sticker was not correct, and it was in fact twice the cost that they had labeled it. The woman with pink and purple hair was rude and made no effort to discuss the price of the item as it appeared it had been discounted with a second sticker.We will not be returning to this store again.

I buy and sell here all the time and although I am getting low amounts for the goods I am bringing in I expect it because the store is a business and needs to make money and I understand that. For the first time I received terrible customer service when I called to store. When the lady answered I explained to her that I am a 50 minute drive away from the store and I didn’t expect them to check now but if they could take down my name and number and check to see if they had pink ballet shoes available and then call me I would appreciate it. She replied, “we don’t keep track of our inventory” I replied, could you check the bin for me? She hesitates and starts to explain why she can’t. WOW! You can’t check a bin and tell me if you have any ballet shoes? Even if you call me back in two days that is fine. Disappointing.

Normally a place to get good deals. When you can catch one of their sales you can get amazing deals!!

I brought in 2 totes filled with girl clothes. They only would buy a few items. I understand that some of it might of had a little stain or looked too worn but I have seen items of clothing on the racks in that store a lot more worn looking than what I brought in. I also had some stuff with tags on them so part of me thinks they didn’t even go thru all of the bins. I have spent a lot of money in that store and after this I will not be going back. The staff is can be very unfriendly and most of the time they have only one person cash people out while the rest pretend look busy behind the counter not caring that 4 or more people are waiting in lineto check out.

Pretty good prices on used kids stuff. Way more baby stuff than other stuff but still a good mix of clothes, shoes, toys, books and gearI havent found the buy back program to be very worth it though.

It is great to shop there when you have more than one child and you have a budget they have very unique items the only downside is it small for what they have it would be nicer to have more room

I went in here a couple of weeks ago... there were about 4-5 people behind the counter, no one said hi or welcome... just unhappy snares. I stood at the counter to cash out my 2 items for about 10 minutes looking at each employee, looking at me and still not acknowledging me. This place sucks. Ill stick to webster... so much better customer service.

Ive spent a lot of money in this store! I went in Saturday to return clothes and buy my 10 month old more, when talking to one of the associates my boyfriend noticed the 4 girls on the other side of the counter who were taking in the clothes talking about us! The associate apologized repetitively, which it wasnt her or her fault. As we were leaving I said something to the girls of course they denied it. This was the worst service Ive ever had and will not go back to this store! Their prices are a little high for used clothes there is a very nice baby consignment store in Greece...they will now be getting my couple hundred dollars every other month! The employees need to grow up!

The first time I ever went to a Once Upon A Child, I went to the one in Henrietta to sell clothing I had. I had about two to three bins full, and they took about a bin full, giving me the excuse that the clothes were not recent, when most of them were bought not even two months prior and most hadnt even been worn. My daughter never got that chance to wear them because she was born a bigger baby. Some of the other excuses I got were there were stains, wash wear, etc. Yes, Ill admit that some of them did, and that was my bad for not inspecting as well as I thought I had. I didnt really let that pursued my opinion of the place, and decided to give it a second chance. The second time I went, I did my buying based on how my experience was and figured they must be really strict about picking out clothes and didnt think to inspect the clothing I was buying as that should have been done when they came in. I got what I thought was a nice outfit but, turns out there was a huge tear and frayed part in the pants next to the button. I didnt see it because there was a shirt in the front, but was REALLY noticeable. I also bought an extra stroller because my daughters father always seemed to have her stroller when I needed it, so it was just easier for me to buy a new one. Mind you, I never even ended up using the stroller because it was a just in case I need it thing. I have never heard good things abut the one in Henrietta, so today, I went to the one in Webster where I heard several people state that whatever Henrietta didnt take Webster would/did. This time I brought three bins, the stroller I had originally bought there, a bassinet, and a few other things. They only took 1/4 of one of their recycling bins of my stuff. Needless to say, I ended up back with three bins full of clothes, the stroller, AND the bassinet. They didnt take the stroller because they said there was staining on it. I NEVER USED IT! Not from the time I bought it from them to the present. I had it stored away in my house in a dry closet. The stain clearly didnt come from me. They didnt take the bassinet because they said there was staining on that as well; theres not, all it needed was to be washed. Its been in storage for two years, bound to get dust on it. And they choose to take a pair of sandals I had, yet the same identical pair, just a different color, they didnt. Im 100% sure they did not go through all the bins, as most of the clothes were left in the exact same position in which I had placed them. Again, most of these clothes are only a few months old... and are already out of style? Or arent recent? Needless to say, I will not go back and will never recommend that place to anyone!

I love shopping here but dont recommend doing it if your in a rush. The selection is huge and it takes a while to decide on what to get. Checking out can be slower sometimes too but the deals are worth it.

You can get great deals at OUAC. They often have sales where the deals are even better! I agree that sometimes the toys are missing pieces, but my store has never said they check for pieces, just to make sure they run (put batteries in). Ive seen many toys without pieces at all, so I just assume I have to check before buying. I went there last year to buy my 4 year old some sweaters for winter & I left with tons of great sweaters, each were 4.50 or less. Infant clothes are cheap too, onesies for .99 cents. Cant beat it!

If you plan on selling just list on Craigslist! This place is a joke they consider normal wear staining. You can tell them that the small parts are in a separate bag and they dont even bother to look in it and tell you that your missing parts.

I usually sometimes sell to them. I never will again. I would rather give away free to salvation army. I dont know what type of scale they use when buying things but apparently it sucks. I had many items in good condition, some even with tags still on brand new. They turned down most items I had and accepted 4 things and offered me $8.00 for 2 old navy bubble coats and sweater and jeans. Absolutely not!!! Complete waste of time. I always browse the store while Im waiting to sell and most of the time Im shocked and appalled at the things I see on the overly crowded racks. Stained, dirty, stinky, and outdated items. Coming here to sell is a hit or miss. Most of the time its a miss. Im done with this place for good!

I brought in 5 full boxes of baby clothes. Sizes ranging newborn to 3-6 months. Some new with tags. Everything was clean and folded in the box and organzied by size. They told its be almost 3 hours till it was gotten to and I said that was fine. I waited for 3 hours and 15 mins and hadnt received a call so I headed over and asked about how much longer and the lady responded with oh you shouldve been called over an hour ago and told me where to proceed to be cashed out for my items. I waited in line, got called up to a register the lady took my ID and brought me a tote with 2 onsies and offered me $1.20. told me they were unable to take anything due to stains and not being washed. So I declined the $1.20 and got my boxes back just to get home and find that my once folded, organized boxes of baby clothes were now unorganized and unfolded. Im so upset about this experience that myself and all my mom friends refuse to shop here anymore!

On several occasions. I have gone to the Store in Fayetteville, NC. to take new, and slightly used items. They on purchase shoes for $17.00 that i paid of $200. for. This place is not worth your time. I looked at the clothes in the store. And they were worn out,faded, stained, and the shoes were horrible. I purchased a stroller, and it fell apart in two months. The staff is horrible you have to stay in the store until they decide to look at your items. Which took about three hours for them to say NO they had to much of the same merchandise. They will never get my business nor items. I will have a yard sell or sell on Ebay.

Absolutely love this store. I get all kinds of stuff for my kids from clothes to toys, books, paint and even a high chair and playpen for the baby! They are picky when you sell but they should be, thats why the selection of stuff is so awesome. Shoes and toys are the best to sell though. I got like 50 bucks one time for two pairs of Nike shoes and a few pants! With that $50 I was able to buy levi jeans, Abercrombie and Fitch sweaters with the tag on and a nice double sided chalk board and dry erase easle for the kids! Loooooove it!!!!

Great place to find clothes for my grandchildren!

I went in last Saturday for the first time to drop off my clothes. My first impression was Goodwill looked better to me, I want have a problem unloading my clothes. First of all they were very selective in taking clothes. I have a 9 year old and a 4 month old. They passed up brand new items. Stuff I would buy any minute and Im not just saying that because its my things and Im attach to them. I really didnt have time to look through the boxes after they gave them back or the box of clothes they decided to keep because I had my baby in the car and was trying to occupy her the whole time it took them to go through my clothes- 2 hours. But when I got home I couldnt believe the stuff they passed by! I am moving out of town or I would of kept everything and sold it online, but I was shocked they didnt even take clothes with tags on them? I have bought from them previously one time and when I came home after close examination one of the out fits had wholes. They spill off this speech when you pick up your stuff saying why they arent purchasing it because of stains ect. I showed the girl this adorable little hoodie I bought a month prior at Kohls and asked Whats wrong with this? And she said because it had a bow on it? What? The clothes you bought from me from my older daughter I got mostly at Goodwill!.. And you left me with a cute pair of socks that went with a set of adorable Newborn Onsies you decided to buy. What am I going to do with the socks? And you cant say they had wear on them. I can post a pic. She was a newborn when she wore them.. Any ways save your self some time sell your stuff online or buy your stuff at Goodwill its better quality and a whole lot cheaper!

I went to Once Upon A Child on two occasions. Both times they only accepted a few of my pieces. A lot of my pieces were brand new and still had tags on them, but they were not in style. How can I buy something at BabyGap yet it is not in style. Some of the pieces were bought there and within a three month period they had gone out of style. The staff was very condisending, rude and snobby. I would not recommend wasting your time and energy. This place is a joke.
