Avoid this place! The manager is totally rude, but even more shocking is their total incompetence in scheduling pickup. I just made my third trip to the store to pick up my order, and I was turned away because they continue to miss their own deadlines. It’s been well over a week since their original promise date and still not ready (and several weeks since drop off). And the manager doesn’t seem to care. No customer service. No integrity. Please avoid at all costs. Disappointing.

Went to get some eyelets repaired on a good pair of hiking boots. He explained the process and the cost involved relative to the wear of the boot. I was able to make a very well informed decision. He also has a very nice store and plenty of stuff to go with shoe service.

I purchased a high-end purse. It received many years of use. Unfortunately, it was white leather. I brought it in and asked if they could make it look better. It looks brand new!This was not a fluke. I have a black leather jacket that has given me many years of use. The jacket sleeves at the cuff had some of the black worn off. The tie belt looked tired as well. It looks brand new!I bring all my shoes/boots and now my black leather jacket here. They do an amazing job at a reasonable price.

Called the day before to verify the hours. Showed up today with some shoes I needed fixed, the OPEN sign was on, but the doors were locked and no one answered the phoned. Called later to discuss what had happened, and was told I was wrong. Ill take my business elsewhere.

If I could give Zero stars I would. I will broad cast this treatment all over town. The worst repair on 2 pair of sandals. Cost $90.00. They look terrible. Instead of telling me they will not look good and scuffs can not be repair. They attempted and failed big time.Then the best part the lady upfront just Stares at me and shrugs her shoulders. Not willing to even offer something. I promise you not only lost my business but everyone I come in contact with will hear about this.

Its a great place your shoes will be fixed in a week so go now

I do not understand how these old posts continue to talk down about this shoe repair shop. He has long since upgraded his store to a very clean place, directly across from where he used to be (making it easy to find), and also has delivered on quality craftsmanship on the shoes I had repaired.

I have been a customer here for over 30 years. This crew has saved some of my favorite shoes from the scrap pile.

Will definitely not return here, very bad experience. I had a boot with a heel that had fallen off. They told me it was a simple fix to glue on the heel. I left them with the broken boot after being told that I only needed to leave the one boot.I picked up the repaired boot later, and when I put it on at home, discovered that they had distorted and compressed the heel, so the boots were now uneven to walk on. This was right before a vacation, so I was stuck with uneven shoes.When I took the boots back, they said they would repair them, and there would be no charge since it was to fix the original repair. When I picked them up the second time, I was told they would have to charge me after all because they had to rebuild the sole.. I tried explaining that they were fixing a botched repair, and the guy rudely shoved the boots in my direction in a rude tone.Apparently rudeness and botched repairs are what they consider customer service here. Ive had several items repaired at Sofias - and each time they were well-crafted thus allowing me to continue using the shoes, bags, and items of clothing for man years. I always recommend Sofias!

Super quick overnight repair of my beloved Lands End boot zipper the night before the dreaded Polar Vortex. Ill be back with any needed repairs!

I took a low shoe boot to have the heel cap replaced. Initially they wanted to keep my shoes for 9 days until I insisted on picking them up sooner. My shoes were raped and pillaged while in their possession. My boots were only 1 year old and the sole was take out and replaced with some filthy, old shoe sole. Also taken from the boots was a leather strip from the interior back portions of the boot to keep the heel from rubbing. The boots look like they had been through a war!After talking with another reputable shoe repair store and without naming Sofias Shoe Service, the gentleman stated that they get a least one complaint about Sofia Shoe Services steeling parts from shoes and that they are known in the shoe repair business for this.

They broke an expensive pair of heels when all they had to do was replace the plastic tip on bottom of heel. Then he let me pay for the shoe repair but when I pulled the shoe out of the bag, the heel was broken in half and covered in thick glue. He said, well ... Those shoes look metal but the heel is not. Oh, really? Well not only did his comment make no sense, he didnt apologize for trying to swindle me out of a pair of shoes, he tried to take advantage of me paying for the tips to be replaced when they could no longer be worn, and Im also out of a pair of shoes. I have never written a review but STAY away from this store if you care about your belongings. I WISH I could have read a review like this before I decided to try is place.

First time with them. Brought in Ugg boot to have the zipper repaired. Was told the price would be $15 and when I went to pick it up, I was charged $20. Now the boot zipper is broken again due to poor quality of workmanship. Im extremely disappointed that their integrity was not complete. Will not go back there again.

I brought in boots to have the calves stretched. They were not noticeably stretched. When I came to pick them up, the outer door was locked even though the shop was open. The woman inside walked by, looked at me through the window trying to get in and walked away. So bizarre.

I wouldnt go anywhere else!

A bit overpriced (heel repair was third of the new shoes price).Slow (one week for heel tips replace!).Worst of all - the new heel tips fell off 2 weeks later.Not going there any more...
