One of my favorite cafes in Rochester. This has been a staple for me for so many years! They have delicious lattes, amazing sandwiches and great baked goods on hand always. The atmosphere is great to sit and chat or get work done. Always a good place to hit up for coffee!
Been going to Cafe Sasso for years & years and it will forever be like a home away from home for me. Amazing coffee, great food options, yummy desserts and many vegan/vegetarian options. All the employees are usually very kind, fast and efficient even during busy times. The VooDoo child sandwich is my boyfriends holy grail quick-bite and smells AMAZING!!!!! All in all, give this place a visit. You will not be disappointed. Also the owners Jess & her husband are the sweetest. I am so grateful to have found this spot when I did and got to watch them flourish! Thank you for creating such a safe space
Love this quirky little coffee place. It gets really busy on the weekend so my hubby and I prefer during the off hours. We introduced a friend to the place last night who loved it too.
Anytime I find a location that combines food and art... Im a fan! I love this spot, great coffee, great food. My favorite breakfast sandwich here is the Zesty Zappa. They even have adult beverage coffee available. I love the eclectic decor, friendly baristas, and open -minded vibe.
We discovered Cafe Sasso while on a food tour next door. If you like Javas, then youll fit in here. AMAZING breakfast sandwich selections, BEST coffee on Park Ave. The service is top shelf!!!
All cutlery, plates, cups are single use. For a Cafe that is conscious about what they do, its disappointing to see them use throwaway stuff. I asked door glass for my bottled beer and I got a plastic cup. So I ask them if they have a a proper glass glass and theyd dint. I handed the plastic cup back to them and it went directly into the trash without hesitation. Now I get it, it may be unsanitary once offered to a customer, but it wouldnt have been the case if it was a proper glass for a beer. The coffees dont come in a mug either, even if you are on premises. Just do better.
I recently moved to the neighborhood and was feeling pretty anxious and alone. I got an iced coffee here and sat down by the window. The ambiance was relaxing and I let myself get lost in people watching. Also, the bathroom is nice and they dont gatekeep it like people dont have bladders or bowels. I even took a picture of the bathroom.
Pleasant place to sit and relax. Good food, pastry. And tea and coffee. Spiked coffee if you like also.
I adore Cafe Sasso. Between the delicious coffee concoctions and the wonderful, friendly staff, you cant go wrong here. Dont like coffee? Get a smoothie, tea, or hot cocoa! They serve hot food as well, and always have tasty pastries in their display case. Its a quiet environment, which is nice if you are a student. Try them out next time youre by the Park Ave area!
Very eccentric cafe located in the heart of Park Ave. limited seating with tables and couches to seat. Hip music while you sit back have coffee and bite to eat while enjoying all the unique decor. Food is tasty. Provide bagels, paninis, hot and cold coffees. Definitely a must try. everything was excellent
My favorite coffee shop in the area. Excellent breakfast sandwiches, great atmosphere. Do you need coffee? Finish reading and go :)
Sasso has always been my favorite place to get a well crafted drink. Baristas always make me laugh and feel welcomed. Boyfriend and I have been going here for five years for the WONDERFUL consistency with the drinks! Owner also has a wonderful happy vibe :)
I visited for the first time today after hearing many great reviews from friends. Although the atmosphere was definitely somewhere Id like to spend my time, the iced chai tea was a little lack-luster to what I was expecting. Will give it another shot soon with a different order! The staff was very friendly though, I will give them that!
While parking is not the best, their coffee, decor, atmosphere, food, etc is. At the same time, i don’t come here for great parking, but to get a cup of coffee, something sweet, take a walk down Park Avenue and enjoy the style of the area! Sit inside or get a table outside, enjoy your company and a cup of coffee in your hand.
Great funky place for coffee, sweets and good sandwiches! Love all the art on the wall in the overall vibe. Staff very friendly and helpful!
Lovely eccentric coffeehouse with fresh coffee/espresso. What more could you ask for?
Great coffee and other drinks. Good variety. Nice atmosphere
Best in town. My small quad latte is always perfectly done.
Warm atmosphere, fun art and yummy drinks!
Miss this place used to come here all the time years ago when I lived in Park ave. amazing coffee sandwiches and service. I live in Nh now but it was great to be home for Easter and be able to stop in and grab a nice coffee while I was in town. Didn’t get a chance to have one of their amazing sandwiches but hopefully next time I will.
Good coffee - not too expensive.
Would definitely return to this place. The staff is very kind and considerate. There is a nice selection for food and drinks as well as baked goods. The Honey Bear drink is outstanding as well as the sandwiches, ( the rocket man, and a club supreme) the panini press grill marks on our sandwiches took them to another level of delightful flavor.
Nice, comfy place to get coffee or smoothie
I tried espresso with a hint of Lavendar flavor... OMG SO GOOD
I moved to the area about a year ago and was in desperate need for a new hangout spot with good coffee. Let me tell you, I’m absolutely hooked on this place. A nice atmosphere, incredibly friendly staff, early/late hours, great coffee + meal options, and the perfect place to meet up with friends, or get work done. It’s always the first place I suggest when friends/coworkers want to get coffee or lunch. I am here at least 3 times a week because the atmosphere is exactly what I’ve been looking for!!
Sasso is the best cafe in the city, bar none.Fuego will judge you for ordering a latte, Glenn Edith is clearly trying too hard, Locals Only doesnt water their plants, and Matildas drink sizes are for toddlers (RIP starry nites).
Any place can have a beautiful physical space, but its the customer service that sets the tone and the true energy. This place has jt all.. its everything I crave in a a coffee shop.. Kudos to the Sasso crew.
Sorry - what coffee shop doesn’t have wifi? Also can you plz check that the lids are closed on the coffee? Also why are the baristas having a hang out session while I’m trying to order my coffee and sit in peace at my table? Not the vibe.
Very cool little coffee shop with awesome art on the walls. Has a cozy feel to it.. a homey hipster feel if you will. Outdoor seating is great as well. Their food and drink selection is pretty big! Not only that but anything that I have gotten has been delicious! Great breakfast spot. BEC on a bagel is fantastic. I highly suggest Cafe Sasso! Oh and lastly but not least the staff members are always friendly and treat you with respect!!Addition: I love coming to this place. Upon entering you just become less stressed.. the smooth music playing calms you. The staff, as always, are great. A gem in the Park Ave neighborhood.
Food was amazing and staff very friendly and personal I will be back.
Never once a bad time... everyone is amazing and they produce fantastic products of good and services!
I can’t say enough good things about the staff at Cafe Sasso. Every time I’m in I know I’m going to love my coffee, no need for a favorite barista when they all rock! They’ve nailed the formula for success - quality products, knowledgeable employees, and recipe consistency - it’s my favorite coffee shop around, check em out for yourself!
Casey greeted our granddaughter so sweetly and asked her for a high 5 which our granddaughter loves to do. So very appreciative!!
Excellent customer service. Wonderful atmosphere. Smells heavenly.
I love this place, the atmosphere is amazing, and when you walk in the people sitting around and just enjoying a little bit of there day, while ya wait to get coffee is great, always makes me happy to see people out and about. However on somedays, ya can feel a little tention from the staff as they place orders and such. I would also recommend a better order system. When ya order something like a sandwich they give you a number and ya wait to hear them call it. However some people wait out side, and one day we didnt get our order for like 15 minutes, it was just sitting on the counter getting cold. Other than that, keep up the amazing work and atmosphere and amazing coffe, and the food is amazing when it hasnt been sitting.
Super cool place with great food

My primary reason for the visit was to try the espresso. I received it in a timely manner and thoroughly enjoyed the taste.I will be visiting again and recommend checking this place out. Just be mindful about the time you choose to visit. This place gets pretty busy.
I really like the designs of the place and the choices of beverages
Great espressos (awesome lattes) - very limited indoor seating

This coffee spot has some great options, I ordered the Peace Train (espresso, dark chocolate, blackberry, hazelnut and steam almond milk) and my friend ordered the Honey bear (espresso, vanilla, honey, cinnamon, and steamed soy milk). Both were delicious. The only complaint is that I asked for no straws and they gave us straws anyway:(

Cozy atmosphere. Coffee, pastries, espresso drinks, and other beverages including alcoholic beverages. Is a casual social place. Not as dark and crowded as Javas and not as over priced. Also has way better coffee.😊 *Photo is of Cappuccino
The Sgt. Pepper is great. The Beatles angle is on point 👌
Quiet corner cafe that worked just right for a Fall evening despite the COVID restrictions. Plenty of outdoor seats to maintain social distancing. Very pleasant staff that worked hard right up to closing time.
Their outdoors heaters were out of fuel and they didnt have any seating inside. The staff closed an hour early and took the outdoor seating away, so there was only a wooden bench.
Great atmosphere, and delicious coffee! Definitely will be returning to try more drinks!
Great hot cocktails. Perfect for a fall/winter walk.
Nice place. Outdoor tables even in winter and wooden benches (warmer than metal to sit on.So, covid seating friendly. Also indoor comfortable seating available. Good coffee. In the times I ve been here the pastries seem sticky or day old (wrapped in plastic seal).. when I asked if croissants were fresh, I was told they should be. As for the muffins, I was told they were from Tuesday (a few days back.) What kind of a café does that? Such a neat, comfy place with a fixable baked goods problem. Beverages and coffees are screaming for better partnered pastries.
The Peace Train is delicious. The muffins and peanut butter mousse are good too. Its a nice place to grab a drink and it has some seating. It is extremely popular around 3-4pm so seating may be difficult then. Worth popping in!
Vibe: Eclectic, Homey, Artist corner. From what I was able to see you may buy the paintings that you see. I recommend confirming.Convenience: 2 restrooms that are easily accessible with a wheelchair. There is also a ramp. Lighting and music within is good for those with sensory sensitivityFood: Wide variety of breakfast lunch eats. With freshly ground coffee available. There are also sweet deals when purchasing the grounds. Can be vegan or Keto friendly per request.Price: Well priced with even better quality of foodService: The owner Jessica is a truly hospitable person. Very energetic with that small town welcoming attitude. The Baristas are also kind, efficient, and fit the feel of the place.

I used to really like this place but unfortunately the quality has gone down quite noticeably over the years. When it comes to locally owned cafés I try to set Starbucks as a baseline because a local Cafe should be able to provide a better, if more expensive product. Unfortunately Cafe Sasso lattes are far lower in quality than even the local Starbucks.

Love this place very friendly and you can sit outside with propane heat
Love the decor. Don’t love the coffee. My hot coffee was lukewarm, at best. Don’t really know what happened.
Great selection of coffee, reasonable prices. Nice little place to stop and hang too! Parking can be challenging, but there are spots around the area Id you cant get one in front or back of the building. Its worth the walk if you need to park down the block a bit?
Afogatos were delicious

Incredible atmosphere very relaxing staff very very friendly very pretty outside is very well maintained nicely set up at the outside heaters very friendly very professional
Very good @@
Quite an extensive coffee menu. On the pricier side for coffee but definitely wouldnt break the bank. I got an iced cappuccino. It was on the stronger side but Im definitely not complaining! Rich flavor and it was served in a mason jar which just adds to the cute-ness of my experience at Cafe Sasso.
This coffeehouse is eclectic, a feast for the eyes, as well as the vast delicacies and coffees, and hot and cold mixed drinks for the adult crowd. A wonderful place for new friends to meet, and old friends to reunite. Dont miss this special place, it is lovely... And dont forget this place has WIFI accommodations!
Amazing cafe. Perfect location. Unique decor and artwork. Delicious drinks. I get inspired when I go here to work. Love it
Pretty cool spot and the spiked coffee drinks are a very cool concept. a good spot to go and get some work done if you can find a seat. Outdoor seating is great too.
The best coffee around. I dont know how they do it, but it is the smoothest, most delectable coffee in all of Rochester. I highly recommend this cafe.
I love this cafe, their Peace Train coffee is amazing! I havent had anything like it before and go here fairly often.
Cozy warm, distressed wood interior, lots of little tables. The staff, while busy, kept the line moving, remaining friendly and courteous. The iced black coffee I got was good, not a bad price with not too much ice. Seems like a popular place even at 14:30 on a Wednesday, so that speaks well of them.
Funky and fun. I feel relaxed and welcome to stay, and it’s also a cool environment with a lot to look at
Great place. Very accommodating to the deaf community. They have a great happy hour and its warm and cozy in there. Good sandwiches. Kyle (i think is his name) is so kind. Ill always return.
Perfect spot for coffee and a pastry. My latte was delicious! Cant wait to go back and explore other menu options. Great eclectic vibes and decor.
My wife and I get coffee here and walk the area at least once a month. Its always amazing and the service is excellent!
Amazing coffee, sandwiches, and atmosphere. Very artistic and clean. Plugs everywhere for your devices. Super friendly and attentive staff, but very laid back. Cute little shop. Love this place!
Loved the ambiance and the atmosphere but didnt actually get a chance to try their coffee plain. Ill have to come back and visit to give my opinion on that. Their cocktails are interesting but I think Im a sucker for plain straight up coffee. Also, I know some people are sticklers for public bathroom, theres is relatively clean.
Got the Peace Train latte which has blackberry and dark chocolate in it--so good! Cute, hipster location which is a fun spot to come to with friends. Employees are quick and efficient, and products and services are good. Only downfall is parking--difficult to find on a busy evening, but we snagged a spot when we came before lunch. Highly recommend if youre near Park Ave.!
Their basic coffee is well done. It isnt scaled or bitter in any fashion, and it is reasonably priced! Their lattes and cookies were a very yummy combination. The staff is amiable and waiting to serve. The ambiance is quaint, cute, and artsy. It is a great place overall the only issue is that its small footprint will cause it to be busy feeling.
Had a cup of coffee with whipped cream and a Vegan Oatmeal cookie from Red Fern Bake Shop. They stock the bakerys goodies. Good spot to chill on their couches and play a game of chess. Has out door seating. People watching spot = A+
My favorite place for coffee and people watching!!
Great cafe! Vegan options. Happy hour wines and coffee cocktails. Friendly staff. Comfortable atmosphere. Great for a date or a study session. Salads, sandwiches, and desserts avail. Art work lines the walls. Couches!
Good food, great coffee, better staff. The best choice for a coffee shop in Rochester, NY!
Small and cozy coffee shop on park ave. Great atmosphere and very hip. Only downfall is parking. I would definitely recommend others to try this place!
I love all the unique combinations for cold brew coffee. The staff is so friendly. There aren’t many power outlets though.
