My son moved up to the north side of rochester, we needed to find a good diner to go to for brunch, used to always go to Jays diner in Henrietta. Found this place on Yelp thought I would give it a try. Its smaller than Jays, but I think the food is just as good. They even have some more upscale menu items that look pretty good, I did not get a chance to try them. Our table ordered scrambled eggs buttermilk pancakes sausage and bacon. I thought the eggs had really good flavor and I thought the pancakes were pretty nice, maybe not as fluffy as a pancake house, but they were pretty good. My only complaint, I thought the bacon was too floppy and not crisp. Given that its about 5 minutes from my sons house, I suspect well be going there more. Give it a try, I think youll like it.

This is what I would call an actual greasy spoon.If you enjoy grease, it would be amazing for your dining pleasure.Unfortunately for me, Im not a fan of having my food swimming in butter and oil.I had a couple of easy over eggs, which were cooked perfectly. Undercooked bacon, and very crispy home fries. My toast was cold and butter was not melted.I almost got the feeling that some of the food was reused from a previous patron. I have no proof but it didnt look fresh, as far as the toast and potatoes were concerned.Unfortunately I have to cross this off my list of places to return to.

This place is a rip off. I ordered online. They charged me over $8 for JUST a BLT. Little to no bacon on it. I instructed I want fries as well but thats not the point. If Im paying over $8 for something It better come with fries especially if its something this tiny. Do not go here. Waste of money. And I will never be returning here.

This place has the lowest quality products for a high price. Eggs were terrible, ham was undercooked, hash browns burnt….it’s a disgrace that this place is called wise guys. Furthest thing from Italian cooking

My family and I had a horrible experience this morning around 8:30am. There was 5 of us seated at tables next to each other (2 and 3). When the two customers that I will mention shortly in my review came in, the owner was yelling through the restaurant to a cook about what they ordered and confirming it with the customers. She was seated 4-5 tables behind them and yelled back and forth instead of simply standing up and communicating with who she needed to. One of the people I was with thanked the server we had by saying exactly this: “thank you hunny” the OWNER took it upon herself to chat with two other patrons in the restaurant and say horrible things about my family member and “homos” in general.On top of that, the food was disgusting and our server was rude. I would never recommend ANYONE eating here.Also, the bathroom is VILE. the whole place had a bit of a gross feel to it but the bathroom will make you sick.

All the food had no seasoning. Ham was dry, burger had grease dripping off an the messed up a simple order an charged us extra. The sad thing they triple charged us. Do not go in the bathroom the smell will make you sick.Literally the worse place in rochester.

Had the opportunity to try Wise Guys food through GrubHub. I ordered the Benedict Benedict, it came with homefried potatoes. The eggs, sausage, muffins, and gravy were delicious however the home fried potatoes were completely tasteless and I would not order again or recommend!

Friendly staff and a lot of menu choices. Their breakfast menu is more expensive than similar places for the same items. I asked for hash browns well done and crunchy. It looked as if they had been soaked in oil. Took one bite of them and no more. I was hoping the waitress would have asked me why I didnt touch them, but no such luck.

Very satisfied with this place. Delicious food, must try the breakfast plate!

Confused by the high reviews, my experience very different. Establishment looks kind of dumpy inside, but its a diner and the only one open due to covid. One of 4 customers inside, waitress unfriendly, spent the entire time we were there berating and being very rude to the cook. She was relentless and loud, and was so committed to this she never came to refill coffee or check on us. Breakfast sandwich was BAD, had Zero flavor. As did the hashbrowns. I dont know how you mess up breakfast, this was a surprising first for me. I would NEVER return. The old woman that works there was the only positive, she was friendly and kind. A shame, could have been a regular as its fairly close to me.

We ordered breakfast for the first time. Everything was amazing. We ordered pancakes for my son and they were in the shape of Mickey mouse. That was so sweet, such a nice touch that we really appreciated. Will definitely be ordering again!

Outrageously good breakfast!!!Try the everything omelet....really well made!Bacon is thicker and better quality than most places...and the homefries... when I first saw them I thought oh great processed..);...but once you try them...hmmmm....crispy on the outside soft on the inside...uniformally cooked....very, tasty...had onions added...they were grilled perfectly as well...not soft...I highly recommend!!....I know Ill be back!

Portion size is good and the atmosphere reminds me of a classic diner. Price isnt bad. Friendly staff. Remember to bring cash with you as they do not do card but that is fine for me.

July 4th holiday, and one of the few restaurants open for breakfast. The owner was cooking and one of her daughters was serving. Food arrived fast and hot and my coffee cup never went dry. Food was very good. Could not believe that the two of them could give a packed restaurant good service. BUT they did.

Cozy little family diner, friendly atmosphere and satisfied my craving for a greasy spoon diner brunch! Friendly staff and good service. Great prices too. Try the breakfast sandwich on a bagel - amazing! ( Also: if you arent familiar with this neighborhood, it is in a very nice, safe area.)

We was waiting 50 min for breakfast even if the diner was not busy at all.Also, I dislike the idea to pay only with cash, and you should to use ATM to take some money off.Food was good,homemade and tasty.

We frequent Wise Guys Diner quite often. This cute little diner is our little spot to get the best eggs benedict, and of course my amazingly tasty, hearty meal of eggs, home fries, toast and bacon, and it is very easy on your wallet. We spend $25 for breakfast for two including a nice $10-ish tip and very much enjoy our breakfast, the personable staff and relaxing atmosphere.. We felt very welcomed and comfortable the second we walked in the door when we discovered this gem of an eatery. This will forever be our breakfast spot! why go anywhere else?!? 😁 Never a disappointment.

The entire restaurant smelled like a grease trap, and we left with the smell clinging to us. The food was sub-par. The service was relatively good.

Went here with my son for the first time last Thursday. Waitress brought my drink to me 3/4 full then charged me $3.00 for it. I ordered an omelet with hash browns, my sun ordered a breakfast sandwich and both were disgusting. The bill came to $25.00 for 2 people for breakfast. This place is located in the our neighborhood, unfortunately we will not be returning.
